Error in reconciling AD roles

Hi All,
I am trying to run the Active Directory user reconciliation but it fails with the below error:
ERROR,15 Aug 2011 05:33:48,007,[XL_INTG.ACTIVEDIRECTORY],Problem retrieving attribute values: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: [LDAP: error code 32 -0000208D: NameErr: DSID-031001CD, problem 2001 (NO_OBJECT), data 0, best match of:

The user has group membership of the group - cn=all test /vp/admins,ou=lists,ou=groups,ou=objects. I guess, it is probably bcoz of the '/' character
LDAP Troubleshooting::::
Error: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: [LDAP: error code 32 - No Such Object]; remaining name '[DN]'
Cause: The DN path which points to where the users are located in the directory is invalid.

I would suggest an SR to oracle. You are probably correct with the issue of the slash.

How many cost centres are you putting in the role? Do you have cost centre set as an org level?
From your User Name I assume that you are at the BBC...Do you still use a program to populate the cost centres in the role based on the cost centre group names? If so it is possible that you are trying to put too many cost centres in the field and the the profile will not generate because of this (we had it back in 2001 when I was working there).
Do you have the technical error message details?

Hi user,
Can you give us some information on the version you are using and your security setup? Are you using an external security provider? Because to me it sounds that you are using an external LDAP server.

Error importing SharePoint site collection - "there is an error during importing the Roles tag"

Hi, we are having trouble restoring a SharePoint 2010 site collection using our DPM 2012 installation. The recovery process goes fine (restore of the database, attach to the sql server, export into WFE's filesystem) and the last phase, the SharePoint import,
seems to end with an exception. We see this in the WssCmdletsWrapperCurr.errlog file:
Caught Exception while trying to import Url .....
Exception message =
There is an error during importing the Roles tag
Exception Stack =
at Microsoft.SharePoint.Deployment.ReadAttribute.String(....
It looks like it is a SharePoint import issue, but I'm not sure. We have tried to restore the site into an empty one, and the exception appears again, although it *seems* that the content has been recovered. We have imported using the security info
on the recovery point.
I've searched for that error message in the Net but I've been unable to find anything appropriate.
Do you have any hints?

Discoverer 4i error msg "A database role exists which confilcts with this username"

When I try to open workbooks -> from database, I get a Discoverer 4i error msg "A database role exists which confilcts with this username" with only an "OK" button in the window. The database works fine for Discoverer 3.1. After clicking on the OK button, I get an empty list of workbooks to open. If I create a new workbook & try to save it, I see the list of dozens of workbooks in the database.
Which role is it complaining about? How can I fix this?

What you will have to do is log into the database as a user with DBA priveleges, query the DBA_ROLES table (SELECT * FROM DBA_ROLES) and see what role exists that has the same name as the user you are logging in as... that should give you a direction to either rename the role, or the drop the user and recreate with a unique name... Error while reconciling - Data is not Base64 encoded

I was trying do a Full reconciliation and it failed with following error.
Reconciliation was terminated because the number of errors exceeded the configured threshold.
The following errors were received during reconciliation:
Error while reconciling accountId uid=1testRecordReviewOnl,ou=people,ou=AppUser,dc=educ,dc=mde on resource MIDMS Edp LDAP:
java.lang.RuntimeException: Data is not Base64 encoded.
I removed the password attribute from the reconciliation policy and reconciliation ran till the end without any error . What I need to do to fix this.

I am using IDM 8.0.0.0 which dows not allow to load "malformd passwords" into the repository at all. This hit might help you to understand IDM but most likely will not directly solve you problem.
As mentioned before: Debug page: http://<server>/idm/debug
Locate the "List Objects" row, select "Resources", push the "List Objects" button.
Select your resource; Click View; search for "credentials"
The encrypted credential (aka password) has to be syntactically correct.
e.g.

The vertical bar sign "|" splits the credentials in two parts
1. Server encryption key
2. Base64 encoded password
If the later is not Base64 encoded, you will get the error described.
Again, I doubt that this is or solves your problem but it might help to understand.
btw. what exactely do you mean with "I removed the password attribute from the reconciliation policy "

Error in reconcilation on sap_geb

I am running full recon on sap_geb resource in production environment.
Getting error as :

Please suggest the possible solution for the same.

The job when imported by default uses java runtime engine but the script is written in vbscript syntax so you have to change the engine or the script syntax.
When you did your select statement did you use SELECT DISTINCT. That will also cause errors. I do not narrow the entry type to MX_PERSON.
I'm installing the patch now; I will see if I get any errors.

Org.apache.jasper.JasperException; JCO error when Importing SAP Roles in C

I have installed BOXI 3.1 SP3, Integration kit SP2, BW/BI 7.0 and ECC 6.0 on Windows 2008/64bit.
My goal is to import the roles into CMS from SAP BW/BI but getting the follwoing errors:
JCO.classInitialize(): Could not load middleware layer 'com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC'
JCO.nativeInit(): Could not initialize dynamic link library sapjcorfc

Install the 32bit version of the Java connector. BOBJ is 32bit so even on 64bit Windows you need the 32bit version of the Java Connector.

ERM Unhandled error; Unable to create role (Please provide a profile name.)

I am running into 'yet another' issue in ERM! This error really has me going in circles because I am able to execute the exact same process in our Sandbox environment with NO PROBLEM... If any of you Guru's can help to point me in the right direction on how to address this issue it would be greatly appreciated.
 
Here's the issue:
 
In our SANDBOX enviroment, the role creation process works as designed (Role Methodology: Definition --> Authorization --> Derivation --> Risk Analysis --> etc.). I'm able to define the role, add t-codes in the Authorization step and even Maintain them in PFCG.
 
However in our DEV environment when I take the same steps and I add t-codes to the role, I get an error when I try to Maintain in PFCG --> Unhandled error; Unable to create role (Please provide a profile name.)
 
The crazy thing is that when I remove the t-codes (to zero) I'm able to Maintain in PFCG!!! I am then able to save the Role 'Shell' in the backend (not adding any t-codes), come back into ERM and add t-codes there and Maintain in PFCG somehow works with the t-codes added now. So it seems as if that connection to the back through PFCG with no t-codes establishes the profile somehow and allows me to finish the process as intended. This is a pain because I will have to take this work around step for every role that I create in Development.
 
In Sandbox however this works as intended and generates a profile at this step after adding the T-codes, thereby allowing me to Maintain in PFCG with no error.
 
The configuration of these 2 boxes is exactly the same and the connections are both working successfully, I'm going crazy trying to figure this out! PLEASE HELP!

I have run the configuration validator for both Sandbox & Dev Environments and received the same results in both. I would like to export the results, but am getting the following error when I select the 'Export' button for both:

Initially I thought that the error was result of the "ERMApplicationRTACheck" failing, however it is failing for both environments with this Reason:

Error in reconcilation Function - Job "Reconcile roles and privileges"

Roles contain Privileges
Help file says: "If you are using roles and privileges, you will need to perform a reconciliation of the roles/privileges assigned to the users in the identity store after the roles are modified. "
Job imported as described.
When I let the job run on the ID-Store, for each entry, the following error message occurs:
runFunctionsInString($FUNCTION.reconcile( MSKEY )$$) got exception
org.mozilla.javascript.NotAFunctionException: reconcile( MSKEY )
...where MSKEY is, of course, the MSKEY of the entry.
If I let run the job with the Windows-Dispatcher and as a VB-script, it produces no error; however, in the output file, there are a lot of Messages like
"!ERROR: Invalid use of Null"
Only some entries (of Type MX_PERSON) show the "Priviliege added: (...)" output. But the job does not add the Privileges assigend to the role, as it should.
So, I would suggest that one redefines the SQL-Query of the Job so that it runs only on MX_PERSONS. But then, still, in my case, it does nothing.
Has anyone better experiences with the Job?

The job when imported by default uses java runtime engine but the script is written in vbscript syntax so you have to change the engine or the script syntax.
When you did your select statement did you use SELECT DISTINCT. That will also cause errors. I do not narrow the entry type to MX_PERSON.
I'm installing the patch now; I will see if I get any errors.

Error while deploying web role - Invalid application runtime - a runtime component is missing:/base/x64/IISConfigurator.exe

I have Azure SDK 2.5 installed and when I try and publish my web role from VS 2013, it fails. When I manually upload the package and config through the Azure Portal I get the error: "Invalid application runtime - a runtime component
is missing:/base/x64/IISConfigurator.exe".
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the Azure SDK with no change in the error.
Any ideas how I can troubleshoot this?

I uninstalled the SDK, and tried to create a new cloud servce using the WCF service project template. The new project still gives me the same error:

Error while creating Transport role

Hi,
I have created a new transport role - " Transport manager" but unfortunately the import function of that doens,t work. It gives Error: "Unexpected Error. See System log for more details...."
In the NWA i see: ' ( ' com.sapportals.portal.transport.ui.ImportComponent ')' ImportComponent.doOnUpdatePreviewPage(): unexpected error; action=onBrowse.
The same role assigned to user with content admin and system admin rights works fine.
Any ideas?

You told system admins and content admins can able to see that role . So,please check end user permission of that role and assign it to relevant groups or everyone if you want to allo all users to see.

Whilst if this role is given to the transport manager wherein he has just this Transport manager role. ...only with import function -> server option selected ->clicking on search gives an error.....

Hi,
The backend user, mapped to Portal, was given SAP_ALL authorization. Once that was done, the role was uploaded easily into Portal. But now, the issue is, which role is specifically required to perform the task. The role, s_rfc was already given to the user, but still I was facing the error.
As of now, I am keeping the post open, for discussion and points. Please post your valuable comments.

Hi Shilpa,
The error "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError" means that your classpath is not set correctly. This is likely due to a missing reference. The class file may be in the jar, but at runtime the component (your component) needs to have access to the jar file which contains the class.
Try adding the servlet.jar, activation.jar file in your project and also through your ADd external libraries at 'java build path'. also please ensure tht WAS and NWDS at the same SP level.
