  • Error in deploying a simple EJB 3.0

    Hi ,
I am getting the following error while deploying my simple ejb of version 3.0 in Weblogic 9.2.
Exception preparing module: EJBModule(build) [EJB:011023]An error occurred while reading the deployment descriptor. The error was: Error processing annotations: java.lang.NullPointerException.
During my evaluation of Weblogic 9.2 for EJB 3.0 , I have got the following questions.
EJB Specification states that EJB's in EJB 3.0 can be developed and deployed without the need of deployment descriptors. I have created a simple EJB with two file Env.java and EnvBean.java and the source code is given below.
    a) I just complied these class files and when I was trying to deploy without ejb-jar.xml and weblogic-ejb-jar.xml, the console was not at all allowing me to deploy. Why is this so?
    b) After I created a META-INF file under root of classes directory by placing ejb-jar.xml with empty <enterprise-beans> element, console was allowing me to deploy with errors in parsing ejb-jar.xml. The error was either session/entity/mdb is a required under <enterprise-beans> element. Why is this required when there are several examples stating <enterprise-beans> element can be empty.
    c) Later I updated ejb-jar.xml with <session> element under <enterprise-beans> with the following values. I got the above error when deployed with this change.
I had been struggling to deploy this simple bean for almost a day.Pleas point me if there is any documentation that solves my stated problem or if there is a solution. Thanks in advance.
    regards
    Karim

Presumably you're using the EJB3 tech preview, and not a vanilla WebLogic 9.2 install, right?
Can you post the full stack trace?

For those who would have the same problem, here is how I could eventually fix it.
Since the Flex Test Drive is sometimes out of sync with flash builder 4, I recreated a project using other help pages on Adobe site :
    Entry point :
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Flex/4.0/AccessingData/WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-668f02f4120d422cf08- 7ffd.html
As suggested, I used the New Project wizard to create a new project, with :
    Application server type : J2EE
Check the radio button "Use remote object access service : BlazeDS"
Then, as indicated in following pages (section "Accessing BlazeDS")... :
    file:///C:/Mes%20documents%20C/Commun/Developpement/Documentation/HT-Tracks/AccessingData/ help.adobe.com/en_US/Flex/4.0/AccessingData/WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-668f02f4120d422cf08-7ffe.ht ml#WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-19a3f0e0122be55e1b7-8000
...I selected the "Data / Connect to Data/Services..." menu option, which started the Data/service connection wizard.
There, I selected a BlazeDS (and not Web Services) service type, and everything went fine.
Suggestion to adobe staff : maybe it would be useful to update the Flex Test Drive to reflect Flash Builder 4 ?
Very nice product anyway, so far, congratulations...
    Rgds
    Marc.

i strugle with a File 2 IDOC Scenario.
In the sender communication channel monitoring I get the error message:
Conversion of file content to XML failed at position 0: sun.io.MalformedInputException
Unfortunately I am not getting any further information and I do not know where the file-adapters problem is.
Tthe .fieldSeparator = # . Can this be the problem, that the file-adapter-engine can not handle # within file conversion? I also tried it with .fieldSeparator = '#' . But the error message is the same.
I am glad for any hints.
Thank you for your help in advance.

    Hi Udo,
The error is due to wrong intput.
putting # might be a reson.
You Can try (,) or a space as a field separater.
    Can you test this once.

  • What's the fix for this error: Can't create the file "feed.xml."

I try to publish my site from iWeb but I get an error which is below.
    Publish Error
Can’t create the file “feed.xml.” The disk may be damaged or full, or you may not have sufficient access privileges.
    Anyone know the fix?

Whether 'feed.xml' is the first file it is trying to upload, indicating a general failure to connect, or whether it's choked at that particular point would be the question. It would be worth your getting an FTP program if you don't already have one - Cyberduck is free - and checking whether any files at all have been uploaded.
Is this the first time you've tried to publish or are you updating an existing site? If it's the first you should check carefully that your settings are correct, in particular the 'path' which varies between different hosts and may be blank or may be something like 'public.html' or 'htdocs' - this would lead to the actual webspace which may not be the root level as you access the FTP server.
You could also try publishing to a local folder - create a special folder somewhere and specify it when setting iWeb to do this, check the contents are OK, then upload the contents of the folder (not the folder itself) using Cyberduck.

  • Error to connect on Master Repository snps_login_security.xml access denied

    Hi,
I am in trouble to connect on TOPOLOGY MANAGER at first time. I've created the Master Repository but when I went to Topology Manager to create the Work Repository it failed. Below is a list of what I did:
    Click New
Fill up (Login Name) <I choose an Alias>
    User - SUPERVISOR
    Password - SUNOPSIS
    -------Database Connection (Master Repository)-----------------
User - <my database user - same I used to create the Master Repository>
    Password <same as above>
Driver List - Oracle JDBC Driver
    Driver Name - oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
    URL - jdbc:oracle:thin:@<host_name>:1521:<database_name>
So when I click in Test buttom, I got Connected Succesful, but when I click in OK I got the error below:
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: .\snps_login_security.xml (Access Denied)
So does someone has any idea about how to solve it?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Can you plz check ur bin folder of ur ODI installation whether u have
    snps_login_security
    snps_login_work
I believe the Topology is unable to access these files .....
can you chk on this front........
Bcoz when you click test it does not write any information to these files ..... ...but when u press OK it has to access and write details abt ur Topology login details....

  • Error: (Reponse came back as text, not XML)

    Hello All,
We get this message when we try to change Privileges for a web group.
error: (Reponse came back as text, not XML)
We never had this message on the Cayman release (Siebel Analytics) but we are getting it on MAUI (OBIEE 10.1.3.3.1).
If you had this message, how did you resolve it?

    Hi microsai,
I came across this error, when i am working with advanced filter using another request column as acting filter in my present criteria.. i.e. Filter based on Another Request.
my 2nd request saved in my folders initially.
While i am developing my main request i used filter based on 2nd request which is pointing to my folders.
After, i moved my 2nd request from my folders to shared folders. So now in my folders there is no more 2nd request...
And as long as i open my main report, i got an dialog box saying the same error you have mentioned..
Solution: is to recreate or mention the correct path for 2nd request.
But your issue is something different it seems..
Anyhow, i just want to share my problem with you,
    May helpful to you..

  • I am having this error coming out everytime I import an XML from woowave sync, something like I haven

I am having this error coming out everytime I import an XML from woowave sync, something like I haven't got the right presets installed. It did work on another machine though, so I was wondering whats wrong with my Premiere CS6 install? Should I reinstall Premiere or Windows. I am in the middle of doing something.
    thanks you
    regards
    Tina

This might sound weird, but here's an idea which worked for me re music that was newly added to itunes and showed up in my ipod but wouldn't play - I simply played the tracks in itunes first, just a second of time or so will do it, not the whole track, then connect the ipod and sync again and this time they played - hope this helps.

    Hi Jhansi,
Whether u create HRconnDS in ur Weblogic server
    If not create it ...
If yes just check it out whether u gave a correct connection string for it......

  • Error in consuming a (simple) SAP web service

    Hello,
I am trying to write a simple web service client for this web service:
    WSDL: http://xi.esworkplace.sap.com:50200/ClassificationService/CS?wsdl
    Endpoint: http://xi.esworkplace.sap.com:50200/ClassificationService/CS?style=document
When calling the operation getAllClassificationSystems(1, 1, 1, 1) I get the following error:
An error occurred invoking the specified method.
    ; nested exception is:
         org.xml.sax.SAXException: Invalid element in api_v1.classification.sap.com.ClassificationSystemList - actualCount
I tested the web service with JCows Generic Web Service Client (http://www.jcows.org/?page=4⟨=de). I also get a similar error when using the Web Service Client Wizard of WebSphere Integration Developer.
As I can see with TCPmonitor, from the endpoint I receive a meaningful SOAP response like this one:

Are the generated proxies for the web service client erronous, and thus a problem with Axis WSDL2Java tooling exists?
Or is there a mismatch between WSDL and SOAP response concerning encoding style or namespaces, or other...
    Thanks for some hints!

I should have included a possible work-around: modify
the WSDL to match with the wire format if you don't
have access to the remote service.

    -Ericerajkovi,
thanks for your suggestion. Since I have no access to the remote service I have modified the WSDL file, as you suggested.
But now I am encountering another error when invoking the operation:
    WebServicesFault

...I noticed that the generated SOAP request now has also changed. The getAllClassificationSystems element is now wrapped with an additional getAllClassificationSystems element. So the web service endpoint is not able to understand the message.
