Bingo.... I got it.
Thanks for your hint about the ./.profile. I was setting env variables in .cshrc file and my default shell for "oracle" user was sh.
Then I changed the default shell for oracle user to csh and viola..... it works.
root@zngds1gk # su - oracle

$ setenv

And now it works...
Thanks.

  • ADF Faces: !-- ERROR: could not create stylesheet for oracle-desktop.xss

    Hi,
    I'm using ADF Faces EA6. Sometimes when I create the EAR, it doesn't include the file "oracle-desktop-ea6-ie-6-windows.css" which muest be present in the "adf/styles/cache" directory. If I check the source code from the browser, it starts like this:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"><html dir="ltr" lang="es-ES">
    <head><title>Sistema de Seguridad</title><meta name="generator" content="Oracle ADF Faces"><!-- ERROR: could not create stylesheet for oracle-desktop.xss --><script type="text/javascript" src="/fmv/adf/jsLibs/Commonea6.js"></script><script type="text/javascript">_defaultTZ()</script></head>
    Please note the comment: <!-- ERROR: could not create stylesheet for oracle-desktop.xss -->
    Does somebody know the reason?
    TIA,
    Brian

    If everything is set up properly the css will get generated if it doesn't exist. You do not have to be running in the IDE for the css to be correctly generated. Running the app first is generating the css before you deploy, so you've taken away the symptom but not solved the problem. If you try running on another browser, for example, you'll probably run into the same problem.
    Does your ear get unzipped when you deploy? Do you have a writable file system for the css to get written to? There is a known issue with WebLogic where it doesn't expand the EAR.
    Please check to see if there are errors in the logs.

  • Error while setting up enviroment for the application

    Hi,
    Im getting a popup box displaying the error message
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntvdm.exe
    Error while setting up enviroment for the application. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
    When I try to excute an external exe, why am I getting this error? and is there a way of getting this exe to execute properly without the error?
    Here my code for excuting the external exe
    String[] cmd = {"C:/gen.exe", "C:/a.zip"};
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(cmd);
    p.waitFor(); "gen.exe" is the program i wish to execute and "a.zip" is the parameter i wish to excute it with.

    class ExecRuntime {
    public static void main(String args[]) throws Exception {
    String[] cmd = {"C:\\gen.exe", "C:\\a.zip"};
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(cmd);
    p.waitFor();
    } Here we need to use backslashes, because the command is passed to the OS as is.
    If you need to be in C:\ to execute from command line, you will also need to use the
    exec() version that allows you to specify the 'current directory'

  • Database Connection Error 42000:[Microsoft][ODBC driver for oracle] Syntax

    Hi,
      This is Sathish, I am trying to create a report and retrieve data through stored procedure using ODBC Connection. When connecting to the Stored Procedure it is showing Database Connection Error 42000:[Microsoft][ODBC driver for oracle] Syntax error or access violation' Error.
    CRXI R2, Oracle 9i.
    What do i do to solve this issue.
    Regards,
    Sathish

    Hi Satish
    It could be an issue with the driver.
    You can try with the OLEDB n Oracle native connection to test if the issue persists.
    Also you can refer to the [Troubleshooting Database Connectivity for Crystal Reports|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/index?rid=/library/uuid/d05b3bb7-0f28-2c10-4ea3-84dbdc4e414e&overridelayout=true]
    Hope this helps!!

    Does anyone know how or if it's possible to set the auto accept state for a user?
    Using calendarservermanageprincipals you can do it for locations for example and you can --get-auto-schedule for a user, but when you try to --set-auto-schedule for a user it says it's not allowed. Anyone know of a workaround or if it's possible?

    Nevermind, figured it out. you can manually edit the database these values are set in. /CalendarServer/Data/resourceinfo.sqlite

    :bad interperter : no such file or directorymeans that it could not find the interpreter which should be used to interpret the script.
    most probably this is caused by the shebang (#!/bin/bash)
    the default location of bash on RHEL (OEL/CentOS) is /bin/bash, which means that the shebang looks correct.
    can you make the shebang:
    #!/bin/bash -xso shelltracing is put on and execute script again?
    this will make clear if it is the shebang in your script, or in another script.

  • Error in setting the linenum for new expenses document

    Hi all,
    I have created an add-on procedure to add a new expenses document to a selected service call.  Although the code compiles without any errors, when I go back and check the expenses tab in the service call form, the new document doesnt appear in the expenses grid.  I also checked whether the data was saved into the corresponding SCL2 and SCL4 tables.  The new stock transaction is not saved into the service call.  My current code is:
    Public Sub add_StockTransaction(ByVal strGRJobID As String, ByVal srtSTDocNo As String)
            Dim oServiceCall As SAPbobsCOM.ServiceCalls
            Dim oExp As SAPbobsCOM.ServiceCallInventoryExpenses
            Dim bRetVal As Boolean
            Dim errcode As Long
            Dim errmsg As String
            Try
                oServiceCall = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oServiceCalls)
                bRetVal = oServiceCall.GetByKey(strGRJobID)
                If Not bRetVal Then
                    SBO_Application.MessageBox("Failed to Retrieve the record.")
                    Exit Sub
                End If
                oExp = oServiceCall.Expenses
                oExp.Add()
                oExp.DocumentType = "67"
                oExp.DocumentNumber = strSTDocNo
                oExp.DocEntry = strSTDocNo - 99999
                SBO_Application.MessageBox(oExp.LineNum)
                oExp.SetCurrentLine(oExp.LineNum + 1)
                oExp.StockTransferDirection = 1
                oExp.Add()
                oServiceCall.Update()
                bRetVal = oServiceCall.Update()
                If bRetVal = False Then
                    oCompany.GetLastError(errcode, errmsg)
                    SBO_Application.MessageBox(errmsg)
                Else
                    SBO_Application.MessageBox("Successfully added stock transaction to Service Call.")
                End If
            Catch ex As Exception
                SBO_Application.MessageBox(ex.Message)
            End Try
    end sub
    I would appreciate any help as I tried so many ways of solving the problem but couldn't find a solution.  Thank you all in advance.

    Bingo.... I got it.
    Thanks for your hint about the ./.profile. I was setting env variables in .cshrc file and my default shell for "oracle" user was sh.
    Then I changed the default shell for oracle user to csh and viola..... it works.
    root@zngds1gk # su - oracle
    $ id
    uid=100(oracle) gid=101(dba)
    $ setenv
    HOME=/space/oracle
    PATH=/space/oracle/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/Db_2/bin:/usr/bin:
    LOGNAME=oracle
    HZ=100
    TERM=xterm
    SHELL=/bin/sh
    $ exit
    root@zngds1gk # usermod -u 100 -s /bin/csh oracle
    root@zngds1gk # su - oracle
    zngds1gk%
    zngds1gk% setenv
    HOME=/space/oracle
    PATH=/space/oracle/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/Db_2/bin:/usr/bin:
    LOGNAME=oracle
    HZ=100
    TERM=xterm
    SHELL=/bin/csh
    zngds1gk% cat .cshrc
    umask 022
    setenv ORACLE_BASE /space/oracle/app/oracle
    setenv ORACLE_SID adm
    setenv DISPLAY 47.102.212.108:0.0
    setenv ORACLE_HOME /space/oracle/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/Db_2
    setenv PATH /space/oracle/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/Db_2/bin:$PATH
    And now it works...
    Thanks.
