"Error in Solution Manager Self Check While performing System Monitoring"
Hi All,
I'm running Solution Manager 7.1 SP8. We are running SOLMAN_SETUP Activities in Client 800, we are
not using the default client i.e. 001
I'm performing the "Solution Manager Self Check" in System Monitoring. When I execute
the Solution Manager Self Check option I'm getting an error message
Text = BI Setup check
'MYSELF_DEST' failed - Reason: ;Incorrect client 800; use BI client 001
Action = The CCMSBISETUP job was not completed successfully. Please run CCMSBISETUP again from the
transaction solman_admin and/or adjust the corresponding BI objects in RSA1 if
necessary.
Any Pointers, I am new to solution Manager, Will really appreciate your help.
Regards
Zohaib
Hi Amit,
This is what info I could see in the table RSBASIDOC
for Client 800
SLOGSYS RLOGSYS OBJSTAT BIDOCTYP TSIDOC3X TSPREFIX
XXXCLNT001 XXXCLNT001 ACT ZSRA002 RA
and for client 001
SLOGSYS RLOGSYS OBJSTAT BIDOCTYP TSIDOC3X TSPREFIX
XXXCLNT001 XXXCLNT001 ACT ZSRA002 RA
I could see the same info in both the clients.
@ Amit: Could you please provide me any inputs

Solution Manager Installation Error "SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 EHP 1"
I am new to SAP and currently trying to install SOLMAN 7.0 EHP 1 on Windows Server 2008 R2. I have read the documentation also. For JDK I have used "j2sdkfb-1_4_2_24-rev-b06-windows-amd64.exe" which looks to be working fine.
The installation process runs fine until it hits "Start Instance" the message on the bottom says "Starting instance xxx/DVEBMGSOO" (where xxx is my sid) and then its times out after 10 minute. After timing out I get the following error on the window.
An error occurred while processing option SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EhP1 > SAP Systems > Oracle > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step: ABAP processes of instance ORC/DVEBMGS00 ABAP: UNKNOWN did not start after 10:00 minutes. Giving up.). You can now:
Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
Stop the option and continue with it later.
Log files are written to C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/SOLMAN/SYSTEM/ORA/CENTRAL/AS.
Though the installation steps are not fully completed but I do see SAP management Console and when I open it I see two process running "msg_server.exe" & "igswd.exe" The process dispwork.EXE starts in the beginning and then stops and stays stopped. I tried restarting all the process again but only tow of them starts and the process "dispwork.EXE" starts but then stops again. I also did a NEW installation considering a file could have been corrupted or something else but the installation process stops and the same place. I am sure ppl have installed SOLMAN on windows 2008 R2 and this error seems common to me. Please assist. Any tips would be nice.
Edited by: amirsd on Aug 3, 2011 5:53 PMHi,
Please check the below
1) ip/host entries should be in /etc/hosts
2) patch the latest kernel for 2008 R2
and re run installation

Display SXMB_MONI XML errors in Solution Manager (CEN)
Hello All,
Requirement is to display the XML error messages in SXMB_MONI in our Solution Manager (CEN)? Could you please let me know the major steps that would be involved on the same?
Please share your thoughts!
Thank You,
AntarpreetMy apologies not reading it properly....
Solution manager also usess the same concepts of the CCMS as we do it in XI, so you can setup the XI envinorment details in solution manager and try to capture the alerts....
Here are the Steps:
Prereq:
All Satellite systems connected from Solution Manager on the "Transaction SMSY" screen.
Prepare RFC connections between Solution Manager and Satellite systems for data collection ( RZ20 Data collection RFCs)
Steps:
1. Register "SAPCCMSR" and "SAPCCM4.X" on Sattilite Systems to report ABAP and Java stacks in local systems and report to Solution manager System
2. On Solution Manager System ( Acting as Central System) configure CCMS monitoring sets fromRZ20.
3. RZ21 --> configure CCMS pings alert monitoring.
all info with step by step guide avalible from Solution Manager configuration guides and http://service.sap.com/rkt

1. Please activate the Landscape fetch job for RSGET_SMSY from SPROSolution ManagerBasic Settings-- Schedule Bgd jobs.

Please maintain a connection from solution manager to the transport domain system . I belive this is CIA.

Multiple Solution Manager Connectivity to 1 Satellite system
HI..
I have a requirement. There is already an existing landscape with solution manager ECC, BI etc. The solution manager is configured for EWA, Maintenance optimizer etc. I now have to install a new solution manager and connect it to the same set of satellite systems so that I receive the EWA, configure MOPZ again. Will this create any kind of a problem and technically how can we do it? I have two ideas for this scenario
1. Connect the new solution manager to the same satellite systems and do configuration as normal. Got this idea from the below link but not sure how it will work.
Re: send EWA report to more than one solution manager
2. Is it possible to push data from the existing solution manager to the new solution manager?
Would highly appreciate technical suggestions. Thx in advance for your help.Hello,
You need the SMD Agent in order to have ABAP data going to the Solution Manager. Some RFCs are established directly from Managed System to the Solution Manager to extract E2E Change Analysis, Exception Analysis. The Workload Analysis and Host Information (SAPOSCOL) is extracted from WIly EM
Having that said, you can imagine that you cannot have only RFCs and you cannot have only data extracted from WIly EM.
I suggest you to take a look at the FWK Administration in the solman_workcenter, choose the Managed System tab, and start looking into the details of each extractor. Some have an RFC destionation, others have SOLMANDIAG. The SOLMANDIAG are coming from the Solution Manager Java stack, which is responsible to poll the Wily EM.
The reason you need two SMD Agents is because the SMD Agent connects to the ABAP stack, retrieves data, and then connects to the Wily Enterprise Manager. The Solution Manager polls data from the Wily EM and persists it in the BW.
The SMD Agent doesn't support connecting to two Wily EMs at the same time.
So it is required to have TWO SMD agents polling data from the ABAP stack, at the same time, one of them reporting to one Wily EM, and the other reporting to the other Wily EM.
Each solution manager has it's own Wily EM, and it will pull the ABAP data from the Wily EM.
It is not possible to make the two Solution Manager's connect to one Wily EM, since the setup framework needs to see a SMD Agent available to run the setup wizard and to create the destinations. So each Solution Manager needs a SMD Agent running in the physical host.
I hope it is clear for you.
Best regards,
Guilherme

ChandraTwo cases you have
1) Satellite system
Re-install The DIA agent and give correct (port numbers )SLD details
Once you re-install the DIA agent, run Rz70 from satellite system
data will pull from satellite system to central SLD.
2)Run SLD check from Solman system , check its successful or not
Go to LMDB and check satellite system
After re-Synchronize technical system from SLD

DSWP error in Solution manager
Dear Sir,
I solution manager during DSWP Support Package and Stack Inbox
Display Systems by:
System: All with Leading Role
All
Main Instance: All
Software Component: All
Choose the filter button to activate the new filter settings
Maintenance Optimizer Maintenance Optimizer List
Change requests cannot be displayed or created, because the RFC connection has errors, or is not maintained.
Check whether the RFC connection to the Change Man agement system is under the key CHARM_DEST (APPLI field in the DESTINAT field), in the view BCOS_CUST. You need authorization for the cross-client view/table maintenance (S_TABU_DIS and S_TABU_CLI).
Check the RFC connection in the transaction SM59. If your SAP Solution Manager system is also your Change Manager system, the internal connection must be 'NONE'. You need authorization for the administration of RFC connections (S_RFC_ADM).
No Systems Found
How u solve this one
regardshI
You missed some of the SPRO activities still i guess,
In SPRO go to Scenario-Specific Settings-->Change Request Management -->Standard Configuration->Activate Integration with Change Request Management
After this check in SM30 that view BCOS_CUST has the following entries:
CHARM W NONE CUST620 1.0
CHARM_DEST W NONE CUST620 1.0
else you can manullay add the entries in sm30>Table/View->BCOS_CUST->Maintain>first column =CHARM_DEST, second =W, third=NONE, forth column =CUST620 , fifth Column 1.0
same as for the entries
CHRAM W NONE CUST620 1.0
OSS_MSG W SM_<SYSID>CLNT100_READ CUST620 1.0
and check the SAP-OSS and SAP-OSS-LIST-O01 connection also fine.
you can refer this blog [/people/dolores.correa/blog/2008/07/26/first-steps-to-work-with-change-request-management-scenario|/people/dolores.correa/blog/2008/07/26/first-steps-to-work-with-change-request-management-scenario]
Please check.

I successfully created the central instance.
when creating database instance i get that error. during the load phase..I installed nonunicode installation
central instance is running. could it be that I'm using wrong code page 1100?
I'm not sure what to do its been bugging me for past few days..
And also do you know if 10g is supported with solution manager 3.2? When i installed 10g it said "no database found on this host"

Error in Solution Manager Optimizer after support packages
HI all,
after patching my SAP Solution Manager from SP18 to SP25, MOPZ doesn't work because there is this error in web page:
Error when processing your request
What has happened?
The URL http://<fqdn>:<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wda_mopz_plan/ was not called due to an error.
Note
■The following error text was processed in the system SLM : CREATE OBJECT: The class \CLASS=/1WDA/L0STANDARD\CLASS=CL_LINK_CHOICE was not found.
■The error occurred on the application server srvslm_SLM_00 and in the work process 0 .
■The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
■The ABAP call stack was:
Method: CREATE_BY_VIEW_ELEMENT of program CL_WDR_VIEW_ELEMENT_ADAPTER===CP
I've found that web dynpro WDC_MOPZ_CORE has a syntax error if a try to generate it.
The error is:
Web Dynpro Comp. / Intf. WDC_MOPZ_CORE,Web Dynpro Component Controller COMPONENTCONTROLLER
Method ADJUST_XML
Method "ADJUST_STACK_XML" is unknown or PROTECTED or PRIVATE.
Here the ABAP codes:
method ADJUST_XML .
DATA lv_editable TYPE abap_bool.
wd_this->mo_controller->crm_adapter->is_editable(
IMPORTING ev_is_editable = lv_editable
CHECK lv_editable eq abap_true.
call method wd_this->mo_xml_manager->adjust_stack_xml.
endmethod.
There are no inactive objects as described in oss notes and I've tried to apply also notes 1548530 & 1485385 but with no luck.
Could you help me ?
Thanks
Maurizio ManeraHello Mr Manera,
It is a known issue that the activating errors or issues with the objects in the common correction notes happen when the upgrade is done to SP23, notes applied, then upgrade again to SP25 or SP26.
The usual way to deal with this kind of error is running SPAU, letting the note go into an inconsistent state, then applying again the new version of the note. This may require to completely deimplement the common correction notes then implement them again.
Have you tried doing this?
