Error in syncrhronous message retrieving data of AS400

Hello guys,
I have an scenario where I receive a message from a JMS queue in XI, this message goes to a BPM and in the BPM I send a synchronous message to database with AS400 to retrieve a very big file.
The problem is that after 3 minutes we have the error an error in the JDBC adapter:
Delivery of the message to the application using connection JDBC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.MessageExpiredException: Sync application request expired.. Setting message to status failed.
If the request is less than 3 minutes there is no error in the JDBC adapter. Do you know if there is any parameter in XI that we have to modify?
The data we retrieve is more than 100 megabytes. This could be a problem?The really strange is that in the adapter we seen that the request has been processed successfully, but after we have the error.
Somebody had the same error? Anybody knows how to solve it?
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Xavi.

Hello guys,
now I don't have the timeout but I have another error.
<SAP:Category>XIProtocol</SAP:Category>
  <SAP:Code area="MESSAGE">PART_BOUNDARY_NOT_FOUND</SAP:Code>
  <SAP:P1 />
  <SAP:P2 />
  <SAP:P3 />
  <SAP:P4 />
  <SAP:AdditionalText />
  <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
  <SAP:Stack>Boundary SAP_c1870c01-c051-11dd-9b08-6e04941dd8e9_END not found</SAP:Stack>
  <SAP:Retry>N</SAP:Retry>
Do you know what could be the problem?
I go to the JDBC adapter and the select has been processed successfully, but now I have this error.
I have a BPM with a synchronous abstract message and two asynchronous abstract, one for the request and other for the response. With the responses I put an action send to send it to a proxy.
Do you know why I have this error?
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Xavier.

  • EVDRE error "encountered problem when retrieving data from webserver"

    Hi,
    in a EVDRE we always get the error "encountered problem when retrieving data from webserver"
    When analysing this further we noticed this is always generated when a base member is selected in the CV and the expansion on the row for this dimension is has one of the following expansion settings:
    DEP
    ALL
    NOEXPAND
    if we select SELF, the error disappears again and the EVDRE works fine again ... is this normal behavior?
    there is no problem with application nor dimension.
    D
    solved it

    Note that the keyword "ALL" does not include the member itself. This may cause some confusion, but as Harish implies, when you select a base member it finds no matches if your memberset is "ALL".
    If you want to design a report to handle the user moving back and forth between base and non-base members in their CV, you either need to include SELF,ALL or SELF,DEP, or something similar....
    OR you need to get a little fancier, and use EVPRO to look and see if the CV member is base -- evpro(app,member,"CALC") -- and then use some conditional logic in Excel to choose the correct expansion options. If Calc=N, use Self, otherwise use SELF,DEP or whatever you choose. This can be a bit tricky if you then want the user to be able to drill down in the report (especially if you want the workbook option to insert add'l rows on the expansion, rather than replace), but it's all possible.

  • 6024E - Error 10846: Unable to retrieve data fast enough error?

    I am using a PCMCIA DAQ 6024E on a Dell Latitude C610 (1Ghz) - I'm trying to do Double buffered analog acquisition over 4 channels
    Whenever I try to run the application (VC++6) i get "Error 10846 - Unable to retrieve data from the backgound acquisition buffer fast enough..."
    I have tried the sample program "Double-Buffered Asynchronous Scanning in Microsoft Visual C++ with NI-DAQ" downloaded from the NI website - has the same result: Error 10846...
    I just need to sample 4 channels at 1kHz continuously, extracting the data every 250ms max - are the following settings sensible:
    i16 iChan = 0;
    i16 iNumChans = 4;
    u32 ulCount = 2000
    i16 iUnits = 0;
    f64 dSampRate = 4000.0;
    f64 d
    ScanRate = 1000.0;
    static i16 piBuffer[2000] = {0};
    static i16 piHalfBuffer[1000] = {0};
    Tried loads of different variations - as well as stopping all other apps running and removing everything from inside the acquisition loop - don't know what to try next. Can anyone help? Cheers!

    Hi,
    The error you are getting is due to the fact that your application is not emptying the PC buffer fast enough so new data overwrites old data before they are copied to the application allocated memory. You can try increasing the buffer size and/or reducing the Scan rate, whichever possible.

    The following error is coming while trying to retrieve data from BW BEx query (on ODS) when the Characters are more than 50.

    That warning / error message will be coming from the MDX interface on the BW server.  It does not originate from BOBJ.

  • Crystal Reports 2008 - C-ISAM/ODBC Error 42000 Failed to retrieve data

    I'm hoping someone out there has a solution to this problem.
    I have a bunch of reports which I've converted from CR8.5 to CR2008 (SP2 + HotFixPack 2.7 Installed)
    Our server is currently running SCO UNIX OpenServer 5.0.7 with a C-ISAM Database serving our accounting software.
    Some of the more basic reports have converted with no problem (daily sales figures etc...), but some reports such as customised purchase orders, and complex sales histories etc... continue to have this problem.
    Note, all my reports functioned perfectly under CR8.5.
    This error occurs within seconds of executing the report.
    FAILED TO RETRIEVE DATA FROM THE DATABASE
    Details: 42000:ERROR  Syntax Error - Database Vendor Code: -1
    After which, the winsock comms need to be reset.
    One example SQL query is as follows (on a report re-designing my purchase order for imported products.
    SELECT purchase_order.po_order_no, purchase_order_line.stock_code, purchase_order.po_backorder_flag,
    purchase_order_line.po_line_description, stock_master.stk_desc_line_3, stock_master.stk_description,
    stock_master.stk_desc_line_2
    FROM   (purchase_order_line purchase_order_line INNER JOIN purchase_order purchase_order ON
    (purchase_order_line.po_order_no=purchase_order.po_order_no) AND (purchase_order_line.po_backorder_flag=purchase_order.po_backorder_flag))
       INNER JOIN stock_master stock_master ON purchase_order_line.stock_code=stock_master.stock_code
    Does anyone have any idea??? Really driving me insane... Is it the order of my links, type of links, grouping??????
    Strangely, some other similarly linked reports work perfectly.
    Cheers in advance,
    Steve

    Hi Steve,
    If you open the Report and then click on DataBase, Log on and connect first. Then open your report, then Database, Set Location and once it's done then Verify the Database. Fix any errors or warnings that may pop up.
    Lots of changes between 8.5 and 2008. CR detects that the report is the old format and it then goes through an series of internal report upgrade routines to convert all functions to the current format.
    Also, all of the database drivers were re-written to take advantage of the updated functionality and Client enhancements. As well as we removed any "custom hacks" that we did back then to fix "issues" int he DB client drivers at the time. All of those "fixes" were removed, to much work to maintain them all, now if there are issues it's usually due to the DB Client not following ANSII 92 Standards.
    One issue that does show up from time to time is that the order you inserted the tables can have an affect on how CR generates the SQL, may not be the case for your issue though, just something to watch for.
    What happens if you create a new report and use that same SQL, save it, close all, re-open the report and run it. Do you get the same errors?
    Also note: you did not say if you also updated the ODBC driver? As of CR 9 we are UNICODE compliant, may be your client needs to be updated also. Also verify it's using ODBC 3 and not ODBC 2 standards.
    Thank you
    Don

  • Failed to retrieve data from the database error message

    Hello,
    I have a fairly simple report that correctly retrieves the data from the database providing that there are no selection formula.
    However, as soon as I add the record selection formula:
    {fireService.serviceDate} >= DateTime (2009, 10, 3, 0 ,0 ,0)
    I get the following errors:
    Failed to retrieve data from the database
    Cannot determine the queries necessary to get data for this report. Details: An invalid range operator has been encountered.
    However, when I use the Database / Show SQL Query option and copy the query directly into the sql query analyser it works perfectly.
    Any ideas?

    I am using a table to select the records from.
    In fact it is a series of joined tables.
    The SQL Query generated is:
    SELECT "fire"."unitNumber", "configLocation"."location", "configFireEquipmentType"."type", "configFireEquipmentSize"."size", "configFireEquipmentRating"."rating", "fire"."yearManufactured", "fire"."LPT", "configFireServiceLevel"."Level", "configTest"."test", "fireService"."serviceRepairs", "customer"."name", "customer"."customerGUID", "customer"."address1", "customer"."address2", "fireService"."serviceDate", "fireService"."comment"
    FROM   (((((((("SAFE2"."dbo"."fire" "fire" INNER JOIN "SAFE2"."dbo"."customer" "customer" ON "fire"."customerGUID"="customer"."customerGUID") INNER JOIN "SAFE2"."dbo"."fireService" "fireService" ON "fire"."fireGUID"="fireService"."fireGUID") LEFT OUTER JOIN "SAFE2"."dbo"."configLocation" "configLocation" ON "fire"."locationGUID"="configLocation"."locationGUID") INNER JOIN "SAFE2"."dbo"."fireEquipment" "fireEquipment" ON "fire"."fireEquipmentGUID"="fireEquipment"."fireEquipmentGUID") LEFT OUTER JOIN "SAFE2"."dbo"."configFireEquipmentRating" "configFireEquipmentRating" ON "fireEquipment"."ratingGUID"="configFireEquipmentRating"."fireEquipmentRatingGUID") LEFT OUTER JOIN "SAFE2"."dbo"."configFireEquipmentSize" "configFireEquipmentSize" ON "fireEquipment"."sizeGUID"="configFireEquipmentSize"."fireEquipmentSizeGUID") LEFT OUTER JOIN "SAFE2"."dbo"."configFireEquipmentType" "configFireEquipmentType" ON "fireEquipment"."typeGUID"="configFireEquipmentType"."fireEquipmentTypeGUID") LEFT OUTER JOIN "SAFE2"."dbo"."configFireServiceLevel" "configFireServiceLevel" ON "fireService"."serviceLevelID"="configFireServiceLevel"."levelID") LEFT OUTER JOIN "SAFE2"."dbo"."configTest" "configTest" ON "fireService"."testID"="configTest"."testID"
    WHERE  "fireService"."serviceDate">={ts '2009-10-03 00:00:00'}

    Hi,
    And also click on check option by opening the query in Query designer,as Mr . Arun suggested.
    And if you get any error in checking, see the long message(detail).

  • Error Message: The data provider required to connect to the local data file could not be found. The file will be added to the project but the typed DataSet associated with the file will ont be generated.

    I am currently taking the course "C# Fundamentals" from Bob Tabors site:  LearnVisualStudio.NET .  I'm on day 8 where we are integrating SQL Server with C#.  In Lesson 6 and 7, (havent' gotten past these two) I am having an
    issue.  In Lesson 6, "Retrieving Data with ADONET 2 in a Connected Scenario (SQL Server Compact Edition) when I go to create the data file I get the error message I typed into the title.  I cannot get the db to appear in the Solution
    Explorer, or open up so I can create a table.  When I try to skip by that lesson, and complete lesson7, I'm running into the same basic problem, where the error messages are different but I get an exception when I attempt to run the program.  Even
    though I have been able to create the table for this lesson, the Exception states I have an invalid object name 'Customers' which is the name of the table. I have tried reading several different suggestions for correcting this issue, but have not understood
    exactly what I need to do.  Since I work from home on my computer, I do not want to do anything with files or downloads unless I understand what I need to do, cause I do not want to lose my job.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi
    According to your error message, we need to verify if Microsoft SQL Server Compact appears in the
    Change Data Source dialog. If not, you need to install
    SQL Server Compact components for Visual Studio firstly, and if you choose to install SQL Server Compact 4.0 , you should note that SQL Server Compact 4.0 supports in Visual Studio 2010 Service Pack 1 or later versions. I recommend you to install the latest
    Service Pack (SP) of SQL Server Compact, and latest SP of Visual Studio, then check if the error still occurs. For more information, see:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlservercompact/archive/2011/03/15/sql-server-compact-4-0-tooling-support-in-visual-studio-2010-sp1-and-visual-web-developer-express-2010-sp1.aspx
    However if there is no problem with the installation of SQL Server Compact, it will be an issue that regards ASP.NET and website deployment. I suggest you to post the question in the ASP.NET forums at
    http://forums.asp.net/ . It is appropriate and more experts will assist you.
    In addition, you can review the following link:

  • Error while retrieving data from SQL

    HI All,
    I am getting the below error while tryting to retrieve the data from SQL. Its working fine in developement server. But in production getting the below error.

    Why is it trying to use a SQL Server Driver to open a Oracle Database?  Do you have the ODBC connection on the prod box setup to use the correct driver?

  • Get "An Error occurred while retrieving data From ProjectWebApp.." when searching content on an External Content Type

    I have set-up an ECT in SPD2013 on SP2013.  It is a SQL Data source called ProjectWebApp.   I have BCS/SSS set-up.  I can create an ECT OK in SPD.  I can add the ECT to a custom list.
    The problem is when I add a new item in the list the following error message appears in red
    An error occurred while retrieving data from ProjectWebApp. Administrators, see the server log for more information
    I cannot filter or return any results.  There is data in the DB.
    Another test I do is to try and create a new App/List using the "External List" template.  When
    I select the ECT a red message appears "External Content Types are not available".  which is odd since I can add an ECT to a list as mentioned above.
    Any ideas?
    Tx

    Hi Andrew,
    Please try the option Allow unlimited length in document libraries in the column settings:
    http://littletalk.wordpress.com/2011/08/18/external-content-type-an-error-occurred-while-retrieving-data-from-a-system-administrators-see-the-server-log-for-more-information/
    If it doesn't help, please refer to the link below and raise the External content type Read List operation thresholds:
    http://lightningtools.com/bcs/business-connectivity-services-end-user-implications-part-one-threshold-limit-errors/
    Please provide error message in ULS log for further troubleshooting.

  • Failure to install SQL Server 2012 SP1 CU8/9 with a "Failed to retrieve data for this request." error

    Hi all,
    Has anyone come across SQL Server 2012 SP1 CU8/9 failing to install with a “Failed to retrieve data for this request.” error.
    The error is too generic for a useful search on web, for me at least anyway.
    Had no problems patching a whole bunch of other servers in the same environment.
    I’m no good at reading these error logs. For some reason the primary replica is referenced in the detailed log???
    The CU8/9 patch has been run by both Domain Admins and local Admin with no luck.
    We are trying to patch a secondary failover replica. (SharePoint 2013 is installed on this server.)
    This is from the summary log:

    Hello SQL Ranger,
    Thanks for posting the detailed log. I dont have exact solution for this but I can give you some hint what could be reason patch has failed below message points to fact that there is some issue with account which is used to install CU patch.Have alook at
    below log.It says that when patch was trying to get details from other node in cluster it was not able to.

    IMO I strongly feel it is issue with the account. Microsoft has also documented about this for SQL Server 2008 .Have a look at following links
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-US;2000257
    Please also assign privilege mentioned in below link
    http://www.bradg.co.za/?p=12
    Hope this helps
