Error in the MI2.5 client application

Hi,
In the MI 2.5 standard application I am getting the following error:
com.sap.mbs.core.api.BOException: Failed inserting Mam005: com.sap.mbs.core.api.BOException: Failed writing to Row: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Actual decimal length exceeds maximal decimal length 1
in the line
((WritableBO)object).write();
of the class Mam005ManagerImpl
Can any one help me to solve the problem?

Encoding Error when invoking form from client application.

I have an issue in retrieving the form data from the client application. Form (XDP File) is displayed in the browser as PDF through

Error on the installation of Web Application Server Java 6.40 SP9 on my PC

I got the following error when I try to install Web Application Server Java 6.40 SP9 on my laptop using the CD that comes with the Book 'Java Programming with the SAP Web Application Server'. I'm currently using window XP.
The installation failed on the 3rd step 'SAP System Installation'.
I logged on my laptop as my own userid, but I should have the administrator's rights.

- I can use DB ok but not the AppServer. Error when I log into the Enterprise Manager.
* If I start AppServer and then DB:
- I can use AppServer but DB does not start cleanly.

You are going to have to provide more information...
The only time I ever encountered this was when I went to do a service call on someone with a loose connection on the plug right in the back of his iMac. Not every time but often when he wiggled the screen to adjust it he moved the power bar and / or power cable just enough to momentarily break contact.
We plugged everything in securely and the problem never recurred...
If yours is shutting down & restarting because of a power circuit fault there must be a problem with it that should be looked at.

Hi Ashish,
This occurs because the Web Dispatcher does not support the external session ID (ESID) of the portal. As a result, the Web Dispatcher passes on requests that are intended for a certain HTTP session to another application server and not to the server where the session and the respective user context are located.
For the support of ESIDs in Web Dispatcher, one of the following SAP Web Dispatcher versions is required:
6.40 patch level 93
7.00 patch level 26
For higher releases, no particular patch level is required.
However, at least one of the above-mentioned versions of the sapwebdisp(.exe) executable is required.We recommend that you additionally import the above-mentioned versions of the icmon(.exe) executable and the admin directory that are used for the monitoring the Web Dispatcher.
The Web Dispatcher installation is described in the online help.
In Releases 6.40 and 7.00, the following parameter has to be specified to activate the ESID support:
wdisp/HTTP/esid_support=1
In higher releases, ESID support is the default setting. If you do not require this, you can deactivate it by setting

Graphical Error in the Report aftr import Application

i did import an application into Apex 3.1 , which Application level import
taken from Apex 2.2 ,
it is Working Fine but & even All the Graphics etc Working Fine but,
When running the individual page,in the Report it is Still Giving the Right Result but it is missing with Graphic picture in the Top Left Corner, it is giving as Application at the Top Left but Graphic in that appeara as Graphic mismath?
please Suggest about any further update needed to Fix this Problem

Look at the page definition (HTML Header section, etc.) and all of your templates used by the application and that page for references to #APP_IMAGES# or #WORKSPACE_IMAGES# (or maybe even #FLOW_IMAGES# and #COMPANY_IMAGES#) to identify the name of the image file and then upload that image as an application or workspace image using the Create Image button at:

We have an application designed for an old oracle version which issues some sql which is no more supported in todays database version.
We want to use the application unchanged with a new database server.
Old Server Version: 7.3.4 (still in production...)
New Server Version: 10.2 or 11.2
The application issues an
ALTER SESSION SET OPTIMIZER_GOAL = FIRST_ROWS ;
which results in ORA-01986 and the application dies.
We would like to hide the error 01986 from the application using a trigger:

Access denied when opening project using project professional client application

Hi,
I have some users who are members of 'Team Members for Project Web App'.
They can open projects using the browser just fine.
But, if they try to open it using the menu : Projects Tab > Open > In Microsoft Project,
the project professional client application starts but shows an error : 'you do not have the required permissions to perform the operation'
Is there some restrictions for 'Team Members for Project Web App' with the project professional application?

Indeed team members should not be added to the PM group. But they should not either edit directly the proejct plan. The process is the following:
The PM assignes a resource on a task, either from PWA or MS Project Pro,
The PM publishes the project plan,
The TM goes to the task link in the quick launch menu on the left side,
The TM enters the actual work done on his assignments and submit it to the PM,
The PM goes to the approval center, sees the task updates waiting for approval, approves or rejects the task updates,
The PM opens the project plan, updates the remaining work and publishes again the project the the task updates are taken into account and send to the TM.

Can an EJB client application access to EJBs on two domains concurrently?

It is well-known that there can be multiple domains in a SUN application server. If two domains are started up, can the same EJB client application call different EJB methods from the two domains? If can, how to implement? Please kindly give a snippet of sample codes.
Another question: can EJBs among multiple domains communicate with each other? If can, tell me how to implement and had better provide some sample codes as well.

Not able to Check-out/Check-in .pdf file from Client application in SharePoint 2013

Hi,
When I click on .pdf document in document library its getting opened in browser not client application.
I have done all the below settings.
1. Set Opening Documents in the Browser as Open in Client Application.
2. Activated Open Documents in Client Application by Default.
Still .pdf files getting opened in browser.
Then I Tried by doing the below Internet Setting.
In Internet Explorer -> Manage add-ons and disabled Adobe PDF Reader -> Disable (So that the pdf should open in Browser).
Now I am able to Open the document in Client application but its not connected to SharePoint (
I am not able to do Check-in/Check-out/Save file back to SharePoint).
Can Any one Help me with this issue.

the option to open a PDF in the browser is based on the Web Application's list of allowed MIME types... it cannot be controlled on a per-library basis.

As Alex mentioned, You are out of luck. Unlike SP 2010, you cannot install SP 2013 on Windows 7 or any other client OS.
Your best options are:
Since Windows 8 Pro or above supports Hyper-V, you can run SP 2013 as a VM on Windows 8 pro
You can use VMware Player (free) on Windows 7

Regarding errors in client Application to invoke the webservices

i am using weblogic workshop to develop webservices on weblogic server8.1
i develop webservice and wsdl file also
but when i am writing dynamic client application to invoke the webservice( particular method)
then it gives error like this
