1. Why are you using JDAPI to upgrade from 6i to 10g? You can use the Forms Migration Utility instead.
2. Are you running this in UNIX environment? If yes, have you set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to $ORACLE_HOME/lib directory?

    I assume here that your application is deployed on a different physical machine of where LCES is deployed and running.
    Do the following test:
    - Say that LCES is deployed on machine1 and your application is deployed on machine2. Ping machine1 from machine2 and note the ip address.
    - Ping machine1 from machine1 and note the ip address.
    The two pings should match.

  • UDESEncrypt Errors when using the JAVA engine (NW IDM 7.0)

    Folks,
    I'm seeing an error when I use the uDESEncrypt function with the Java Engine in NW IDM SP2 Patch 3.
    The error I am getting is:
    runFunctionsInString($FUNCTION.encrPWD()$$) got exception
    org.mozilla.javascript.EvaluatorException: uDESEncrypt: Key should be exactly 24 bytes long.
    The code calling it is:
    // Main function: encrPWD
    function encrPWD(Par){
         //Example calling DSE internal function
         //UserFunc.uStop("Terminated by user");
         key = "C:\Program Files\SAP\IdM\Workflow\configs\KEY\keys.ini";
         OutString = UserFunc.uDESEncrypt(key, Par);
         return OutString;
    I have also seen this error when using Patch 4.
    Interestingly enough, the error does not occur when using the Windows Engine.  Anyone else seeing this?
    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi Matthew,
    Try to replace the '\' with '
    key = "C:
    Program Files
    SAP
    IdM
    Workflow
    configs
    KEY
    keys.ini";
    Alternative approaches,
    1) setting key empty and it will look into %DSE_HOME%\KEY\key.ini
      which should be C:\Program Files\SAP\IdM\Identity Center\Key\key.ini on default installation path.
    2) or setting the key to something like = 6D5A2AF59B1CDD7F9592484F178331C891537A3F9B91D362
       a 24 byte key...
    Also when using DES you should ensure that in Identity Center underneath Options/General
    you have encryption algorithm set to 3DES.
    Normally if you intend to use this for password provisioning in IC you would also
    on the identity store (for instance 'Enterprise people') underneath 'password policy' check
    of for 'enable password provisioning.'
    By doing so the MX_ENCRYPTED_PASSWORD with be set when operating through
    workflow (3DES encryption version of the MX_PASSWORD) which allows you to obtain password
    when provisioning to other target systems...

  • Practical use of Java Logging API

    There was a recent technical tip about the Java Logging API, but after reading it I still don't understand how to use it in a real situation.
    Can anyone help me with this with a practical example?
    At the moment I have try-catch clauses that catch exceptions and print a message in a System.err log that I can consult if there's a specific problem.
    How should I be using the Logging API? I feel sure that it can help me, but can't see how.
    Thanks for any practical information.

    What if you don't want to write to system.err anymore? What if you need to write something to the windows event log? What if system.err is irrelevant (nt service), ...

  • Using a Java 5 API in a 1.4 project

    All my projects have to be developed in the Struts framework using Java 1.4.something but I really would like to use Watij web automation for a quick web scraping however it's Java 5. What is the best way to incorporate it into my project seeing as I can't directly use as it won't compile in my current project with Java 5.
    Here's the link if anyone is interested, it seems extremely interesting.
    http://watij.com/
    I already tried creating a Java 5 project, JARing it up and then just importing it in my struts project and calling the method I want however I end a
    java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException

    I think you may have to look at all your jar files in the project including struts jar packages, and watij home page, and verifying they all are java5 compatable. My guess is your error is caused by watij using java reflection to do something (assuming there is nothing in the project or struts using reflection) . You may try creating a small struts project that is java5 compatable and seeing if you can use the watij tool on it without an error. That way, you will isolate problems with watij and struts problem with java5, from who knows how many other problems the major project has with java5. Are you using a server such as tomcat? that has to be compatable with java5 too.

    I'm going mad about this.
    Is there a way to address a custom package in the scripting QPAC, which uses
    FormDataTypeInstanceImpl?
    Steve

    Removing the LiceCycle jars from the lib folder did not work. I still get the same error message.
    What I wanted to do is provide some basic utilities, without having to spend a lot of time designing QPAC user interfaces.
    My utility class contains methods like this one:
    @param
    pFormData
    @return
    @throws
    ParserConfigurationException
    @throws
    SAXException
    @throws
    IOException
    public static
    org.w3c.dom.Document formToXml
    FormDataTypeInstanceImpl pFormData
    throws
    ParserConfigurationException, SAXException, IOException
    byte
    data = pFormData.getXFAData
    InputStream objXMLInputStream =
    new
    ByteArrayInputStream
    data
    // create new Document object
    DocumentBuilderFactory objFactory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance
    DocumentBuilder objBuilder = objFactory.newDocumentBuilder
    org.w3c.dom.Document objDocument = objBuilder.parse
    objXMLInputStream
    return
    objDocument;
    Even without ever invoking the aforementioned method, I get the error
    NoClassDefFound: FormDataTypeInstanceImpl. Which is pretty weird.
    Do I have to write my own classloader?

  • Getting error in using the create Reservation API in OM

    Hi All,
    we want to reserve the item while creating the orders from interface tables.
    We are using the INV_RESERVATION_PUB.Create_Reservation for creating the reservation based upon the Lot numbers.
    We have first written the declare block(Anonymous) and reserved the quantity that was working fine using the batch is, orig reference (source order number) etc.
    But when we are using the same code to create a procedure it is giving us the following two errors.
    INV_RSV_SR_DETAIL
    Invalid Serial Number.
    We have checked that these errors are in the validate_serials proc in inv_reservation_validate_pvt Package.
    Can any of you please help us here so that we can overcome this issue.
    Thanks
    -Shivdeep Singh
    We got the error ... we are using a tbl type var for serial nos and initializing it from 0. Now are initializing it with 1. Everything is working fine now.
    Thanks

    Hello Aditya,
    Thanks for showing interest in my question.
    To answer your question of what I am trying to do, I hope this can shed some light.
    I was given a PO number and an Outbound delivery number to work with.
    We have created a custom (module) program that handles transactions regarding outbound deliveries, and one feature of this program is to do a reversal of Outbound deliveries already posted.
    When using this reversal feature using the given PO as reference, the error message which I mentioned in my previous post, is displayed on screen.
    The user is curious why this happens and yet the posted outbound delivery involved is reversed.
    Additional info:
    • VL02n > Post Goods Issues - to process(?) given Outbound delivery
    • Custom program - to do the reversal process
    • VL02n does Mvt 641 while the reversal does Mvt 642.
    I apologize as to not being so clear but I am not so well versed with MM and its workings.
    Thanks.

  • Accessing custom attributes in LDAP using WD Java - UME APIs

    Hello Friends,
    I am trying to access a custom attribute from LDAP in WebDynpro Java. I am using bellow code.
    IWDClientUser clientUser = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
    IUser sapUser = clientUser.getSAPUser();
    if (sapUser != null) {
    String[] str_emp = sapUser.getAttribute(<Name Space>,"Attribute Name");
    if (str_emp == null || str_emp.length == 0) {
    wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess(" NULL ");
    return;
    } else {
    strEmpID = str_emp[0];
    wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess(strEmpID);
    The name space is "$usermapping$". I am not sure why it is like that only for this attribute i am trying to access.
    I am getting null value if i run this code.
    Can any one help
    thanks
    Shobhan

    Hi,
    Are you sure this is the right namespace? The default namespace is com.sap.security.core.usermanagement.
    You can get all namespaces and the names of all attributes defined for a user using methods getAttributeNamespaces and getAttributeNames : [Interface IPrincipal|http://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/current/se/index.html].

  • Sending a Rich Text (RTF) email using the Java Mail API

    Folks
    I've spent about half a day trying to find out how to do this, now I'm not even convinced you can. Here's the problem...
    I currently use JasperReports to generate an HTML report, this I then send as the body of a Multipart email. Because there are two images in the report, these I inline attach, it diaplsy in Outlook perfectly.
    The problem comes with a bug in Outlook (recognised by Microsoft) where after a while the images stop displaying, you just get the little red cross. Having dug around this is because Outlook doesn't always clean the inlined files from the temp directory. When this occurs next time you view an email that has the same image file in it, the file in the temp directory is appended with a number. This happens correctly until 99, then it throws the towel in and just gives you the red cross. Although I could orgainse for the folder to be emptied on network, I can't on client networks. Thsi sadly means that this approach isn't going to work for me.
    My latest idea is to get JasperReports to generate an RTF version instead, then set this as the body of the email. I don't know if this will still require me to inline the images, if it does it's no better, but because I can't find a working example on how to send an RTF bodied email I can't even find out.
    Any help anyone can provide is greatly appreciated.
    Tom

    I'm afraid neither of these are really feasible. The email is sent to many external parties, and guaranteed access to a server is unlikely to happen. I guess I could change the file name, but then I'd have to parse the HTML everytime and change the many reference to the file in there.
    Why is information about sending RTF email so scarce? I assume it possible?
