I am running on EP 7.0 SPS13. We are testing GP by including an Interactive Form (.xdp) as a callable object. The form is just a test form and have only two fields: Name and EmpNo.
I have testing this form using ObjectDefinition>Instantiate Form.
when form opens up in new window  the below error is thrown up. Please let me know if I have to do any configuration on server side.

Hi again,
To inlcude adobe form as callable object in GP you need to
create a callable object of type Composite form.In the template of composite form you need to include the adobe form.
In the adobe form create a button.Specify the control type as Submit.Submit format as- PDF and we need to provide the url.
I am not sure of what url(might be the process url).Check it out.
Also refer to these documents.

  • Date Format Issue with Interactive Form

    Hi, here is the scenario:
    -We just upgraded to SP17 from SP15
    -I'm using Livecycle Designer 8.0
    When we were on SP15, this was not an issue.  I was wondering if anyone encountered this problem and if so, if there is a workaround?
    I create an interactive form to start a guided procedure process.  Im passing the data from my desktop Interactive form to another callable object in GP to send an email with the PDF attached.  This all works correclty.
    My date/time fields are set to type DATE with a display pattern of YYYY-MM-DD.  When I create the form in the GP administrator to my desktop and open the PDF, the date format is correct. However, when I submit the form to start the process, the incomming date fields to be mapped to my second Callable Object have change in format from "2009-02-18" to  "Wed Feb 18 00:00:00 EST 2009".
    This is true in the new form I receive via email, and also in NWA->monitoring->guided procedures when I check the instances.  The input mapping is already set to the false formatting.
    When I open the form from the second callable object with the incorrect date format (in designer), the date's display patterns are set to YYYY-MM-DD but are not being displayed as such.
    New discovery....I tried to create a Business Logic callable object and format the date.  I created a string input and date output and mapped them accordingly.  When I perform a "TEST" from the design time and use the input "Wed Feb 18 00:00:00 EST 2009", the string is automatically converted to 18/02/2009 in the output, which is what I want to occur.  The only problem is when I run the actual process, the same "Wed Feb 18 00:00:00 EST 2009" is being output instead of the 18/02/2009 in the TEST.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks.

    This test program might help...
    import java.util.*;
    import java.text.*;
    public class ExpandYear
        public static void main(String[] args) throws ParseException
         SimpleDateFormat sdf_2dyear = new SimpleDateFormat("MM/dd/yy");
         SimpleDateFormat sdf_4dyear = new SimpleDateFormat("MM/dd/yyyy");
         String test1 = "3/21/00";
         System.out.println("test1: " + test1 + " to : " +
                      sdf_4dyear.format(sdf_2dyear.parse(test1)));
         String test2 = "4/9/99";
         System.out.println("test2: " + test2 + " to : " +
                      sdf_4dyear.format(sdf_2dyear.parse(test2)));

  • Adobe Interactive Form is displayed in Read Only mode

    Hi All,
    I created Adobe Interactive Form in SFP.
    The following properties are set to the form.
    Layout Type -ZCI Layout
    Preview Type - Interactive Form
    XDP Preview Format - Acrobat 7.0.5 Dynamic PDF
    In PDF preview tab, I can enter data into the Text Fields.
    I added this form in a web dynpro ABAP application using Interactive Form UI element.
    The following properties are set to the UI element.
    DataSource - bound to the context
    displayType - native
    enabled - checked
    templateSource - Formname
    readonly - unchecked.
    When I run this application, the form is displayed in readonly mode.
    I can't enter any data into the text field.
    Any of you guys know that how to resolve this?
    Thanks
    Thruna

    Hi,
    I already face the same issue and after several days working on this issue and many hours on debugging it seems that interface type is very important if you want to use the form in WD4A (this requirement is confirmed by SAP thru an OSS message for me )
    Does the interface based on DDIC or XML ?
    If it's a DDIC interface , sorry that can't works in WD4A as interactive forms. You must define the interface as based on XML for this .
    Hope this help you.
    PS : Finally ,as my forms was very complicated my customer decide to not make it available in WD4A .....

  • Callable Object DataForms Input not found

    Hi Experts,
    I am using NW2004s.I need to create a Callable Object which takes input parameters and display output parameters. Here i don't see Data Forms>Input while creating callable object.which one is the best option for creating callable object similar like data Forms>Input.
    Thanks a Lot
    Madhan

    Hi Madhan,
    The Callable Object of Type "Data Forms -> Input" has been removed.  You can view all of the available callable object types by selecting the GP Administration Workset -> Manage Permissions -> Callable Objects.  Please see <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/ff/1b3a4209a6ae04e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">HERE</a> for documentation.  As a replacement for this, you can use either Data Input Form or Web Dynpro Form.
    Also, please see <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/0f/619fd378a641b29386063019c24fc4/frameset.htm">Available Callable Object Types</a> for a list of supported callable objects.

    Appreciate any suggestions.

    Make an entry below that with your ip address and the hostname.   Reward some points pls.

  • Interactive Form/File Approval Callable Object - %PDF- error

    I have a GP which send out an Adobe Form via E-mail and waits for a response.
    When the form is returned, I want to render the Adobe form from the UWL as part of the task.
    I understand that the Process Control - Interactive Form/File Approval Callable object can be used for this.
    However, when I try to open the task I get an error message saying the File does not start with %PDF-
    Looking at the process context in the NWA, I do see the PDF binary content at that step.
    Any ideas?
    I have followed an example setup as shown on:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/0a/964dfc764b4a428f4321f1ba33dbdd/frameset.htm
    Thanks
    Hennie Pieters

    Thanks a lot Greg for the response.
    If the output of an interactive form includes a structure called 'Interactive Form' with the attributes you mentioned, that will serve my purpose.
    However, I am not seeing these fields any where in the default output of MY interactivev forms. Do I have to do something explicitly to see it in the output.
    I would appreciate your prompt response.
    Thanks

  • Sending my callable object as interactive form thru workflow for approval

    hai
            I have created a sales order form as per the requirement given by sales head.Also i ve created a role in portal and have deployed my application implementing the rfc s required. i need to send my callable object(component1) to the saleshead with approve and reject button where when he approves notification mail should be sent to the required persons and if he rejects it should come back to me.(order initiator).i need to complete this soon and i dont have any idea about _+sending my callable object as interactive form thru workflow+_ .plz guide me with the steps(step bye step process) to be followed which ll help me to complete this project.

    Can we know the reason why do you need to extract the Interactive Form from Workflow.When you are calling the workflow try to save the form in a shared folder and save the url of the shared folder in a field and try to acces it by using SAP Activity.You can create a button for that create an SAP activity and when you click on the button the Interactive Form can be opened.
    Iam not sure weather i have answered your question or not?

  • Interactive form callable object using adobe form manager

    Hi,
      I have several interactive forms in an application that is created using Adobe Form Manager. Is there a way to create a callable object from this application and use it in the Guided Procedure?
    Regards,
    Yuvaraj S G

    Hi Andre,
         If I use Adobe Livecycle Designer, I need to create the whole application from the scratch which will take too much time.
         So, I'm finding out if there is a way to reuse the application that's already available.
    Thanks a lot for the reply,

  • Error testing Web Dynpro Callable Object (GP Interface)

    With reference to thread:
    Interactive form as  Callable object error on testing the object.
    FYI, I'm running NW04s, EP 7.0 SPS 13, JDK 1.4.2_14, Unix OS
    Hi All,
    I have created a Web Dynpro App with a Adobe Form as the frontend. I have included the caf/eu/gp/api as a DC and implemented the IGPWebDynproCO interface. Next I created a Web Dynpro Callable object in GP and ran a test and received the following error:
    Result: Technical Exception
    Details: Could not create web dynpro callable object component
    Output Parameters
    Callable object implementation did not return  output parameters
    Can anyone help me resolve this? Do I have to make a manual entry in the HOST file? If so, what is that entry? Are there alternatives?
    Thanks
    Kunal.

    Hi,
    For creating WD callable object you need to add following three DC in your WD DC project.
    In the Web Dynpro Explorer of the Web Dynpro Perspective, expand the node DC MetaData -> DC Definition, and select Used DCs.
    a.      To create a DC dependency, open the context menu and choose Add Used DC.
      b.      Select Local Development  -> SAP-EU  -> caf/eu/gp/api/wd  -> DC MetaData  -> Public Parts  -> GPWebDynproCO. For Dependency Type, select Build Time, Design Time, and Run Time. Choose weak from the dropdown list.
      c.      Repeat the previous step to define a dependency to DCs SAP-EU-> caf/eu/gp/api (public part external) and SAP-JEE -> com.sap.security.api.sda (public part default).
    You need to do one more thing like bellow.
    Select your Web Dynpro project and open its context menu. Choose Properties.
    1. Choose Web Dynpro References -> Library References.
    2.  Add a reference for library caf/eu/gp/api.
    I think this will help you.
    Thanks
    Chandan

  • Guided Procedures Adobe form callable object GRANT POINTS!!!!

    Hi,
    I am trying to add Adobe form to the GP. I created a simple form template .XDP which contains only two element to test in GP
    I created CO  no problem based on XDP.
    When I am trying to preview my GP I see the following functional error :
    No activity is currently selected
    or if the CO is attached to the first block for execution this one:
    The next activity is not yet available: try again later using the "Refresh" button
    Any Ideas ?
    Any other COs including WD app COs and other types of callable objects in the same GP work just fine
    Thanks

    iForm1.setDynamicPDF(true);
