  • Invoking Jms Adapter from BPEL with enque stoped

    Hi guys, I have an issue.
    In my BPEL flowI have an invoke activity which has a jms adapter as a partner link.
    The thing is that if you stop the enque in the DB, your flow in BPEL continues like nothing happened. It just passes the payload to the jms adapter. From it's point of view is asynchronous , but I want to make sure that the payload is in the queue before I continue the flow.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Oracler,
    I don't understand what you mean by XML schema inline? Where do you define that in a JMS adapter ? Can you be more specfic when you say Try including both the elements(TEXT_LOB , TEXT_VC ) in the schema? I don't have those elements in my schema at all. I have tried the opaque option I still get the same Translator NULL error.
    Please anyone help....

  • JMS Adapter in BPEL

    Hi,
    I'm fairly new to JMS, but I always thought that communication to and from a JMS message broker (OpenJMS in my case) is standardized. However, when reading the developer docs for BPEL it states that you have to configure OC4J specifically for a particular JMS server. Problem is, OpenJMS is not mentioned.
    Can anybody give any insight into how I can get the BPEL JMS adapter to communicte with OpenJMS?
    Arjan

    I believe you need to be on 10.1.3.3 and above.
    Have a look at metalink note 549016.1
    cheers

  • URGENT: JMS Adapter With BPEL: Reply Only Scenario

    Gurus,
    I have the following scenario to be implemented:
    1) BPEL Process A invokes an Async web-service (on some other SOA)
    2) Process A then does some processing.
    3) Then, process A waits for a reply message. The reply is sent in a JMS queue by the async Webservice.
    4) I have an intermediate receive activity within the same BPEL process A that connects to the JMS Adapter. JMS Adapter is set up to consume messages from the queue.
    I see messages pending in the queue but my receive doesn't continue.
    Thanks-
    Ashish

    Hello,
    There are interoperability issues between the Mid-tier and the RDBMS at present because the the mid-tier is using older version of the AQ jar files. At present the mid-tier is based on 10.1.0.5 and the backend will be whatever the backend is. Your issue sounds like a NLS issue given that bytes are fine but text is not. The characterset of the database will probably be important in this situation. So you check if the issue reproduces with different charactersets if possible. What characterset are you using and what is the Payload that the queue table is built on?
    I would also suggest you try and build a standalone java application which reproduces the problem. You could most likely achieve this by creating a 10.1.0.5 RDBMS home and using the jar files from that install and then run it against your database to see if it reproduces the issue.
    Anything that you can do to break down the problem will help Oracle Support identify what the issue is.
    Thanks

  • Esb parallel processing problems with jms adapter and bpel

    Hi,
    I have esb project which dequeues from a jms adapter and then the esb router calls a bpel process. This bpel process takes about 10 seconds. The first step this bpel does is to return true ( to the client) to the esb router so the ESB thinks he is ready. This does not work.
    Now if I use in the esb router asyn routing rule to the bpel ws then the esb dequeus all the messages from the queue. All the esb entries are green. But the esb starts one for one the bpel process and then updates the esb entry with a new start time ( very strange) .
    If I use a sync routing rule then it dequeues and call the bpel process one for one.
    How I can parallel proces the jms messages ,because I have 2 quad cores cpu's . Async routing rules looks like the solution.
    How can the esb detects the bpel is still running even with the first action in bpel is to return true. I expected when the esb retrieves true from the bpel ws it ends the current esb entry and goes on with the next. So the total esb time takes a few seconds and not so long as the last the bpel proces finishes.
    And why is he updating the starting time.
    Thanks Edwin

    this bpel does is to return true ( to the client) to
    the esb router so the ESB thinks he is ready. This
    does not work. I am not sure if it can ever work, if you reply and then still proceed with your BPEL process.
    Here is something I would like to suggest:
    Can you try ESB -- (sync) --> BPEL, where BPEL process itself is Async. In that case, esb will consume all the messages very fast and BPEL will get that message and put in Delivery Queue and reply back to ESB. Now BPEL will process them simultaniously based Receiver/Worker threads defined in your env.

    Hi Ajay,
    It seems that your SCA is looking for a connection factory with the JNDI name "eis/confac" instead of "eis/jms/ajayQueue" which is the one you configured. You should have a "*_jms.jca" file in your project with the following entry: <connection-factory location=" .. . Could you check that it is pointing to the correct JNDI
    best regards, Nicolas

  • JMS Adapter timeout property

    How do I set timeout property for JMS adapter in BPEL in SOA Suite 10g ?
    Scenario :
    In one of the business scenarios, a JMS message in enqueued to WebLogic JMS queue from BPEL process.
    There is a asyncronus invoke activity to the JMS adapter partner link.
    This invoke activity to the JMS adapter took 15 mins in one of the invocations and hence giving timeout to the bpel client.
    Query :
    Is there any way I could set the timeout for this invocation, either at partner link level or a JMS adapter connection factory level.

    Hi,
    This is supposed to solve ERRJMS_PROVIDER_ERR error for JMS adapter.
    Please refer metalink NOTE:393468.1.
    I am not sure if it works for 10.1.2.0.2 version but probably it works on 10.1..3.X version.

  • Configuration for JMS Adapter Sensor action and JMS Queue sensor action..!!

    Hi,
    Id like my BPEL process to send an XML message to JMS on Websphere,I was able to do this through a JMS adapter.But I would more like to add sensors into my process which would really do the same thing - send an XML message to JMS Q.
    Now I understand that there are two ways to do this,JMS Queue and JMS Adapter - thorugh bpel sensor action.
    I am able to use JMS Queue and it works fine , but adds its own xml tags to the message,Is there any way I could send only my xml payload as a message to the queue??
    Also could any1 tell me what is the configuration for JMS Adapter sensor action?
    Any suggestions how do I go about it??

    Hey Anirudh,
    Thanx for the response :-)
    All these hold good when I have an AQ adaptor right,But the thing is I want to send a message to a 'JMS' queue with out actually using an adapter configuration wizard and everythng..So I resolved to JMS queue Sensor action..Heres the xml snippet from the sensorAction.xml files which is generated..
    <actions targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Test_JMS_Logging" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor" xmlns:tns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Test_JMS_Logging" xmlns:pc="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor">
    <action name="JMS_LogEntry" publishName="" publishType="JMSQueue" enabled="true" filter="" publishTarget="jms/L_Queue">
    <property name="JMSConnectionFactory">jms/L_QueueCF</property>
    <sensorName>ActivitySensor_JMS</sensorName>
    </action>
    </actions>
    This works grt and adds messages to the queue..But adds its own header info according to the sensor.xsd loacted at the Oracle_home\bpel\system\xmllib\ folder.
    Right now the XML message added to the Queue is:-
    <actionData xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor">
    <header>
    <sensor sensorName="ActivitySensor_JMS" classname="oracle.tip.pc.services.reports.dca.agents.BpelActivitySensorAgent" kind="activity" target="AddLEntr
    y" xmlns:pc="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor" xmlns:ns2="http://www.ulrhome.com/2008/10/L_Entry" xmlns:tns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Test_JMS">
    <activityConfig evalTime="completion">
    <variable outputDataType="string" outputNamespace="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" target="$WriteL_Produce_Message_InputVariable/L_Entry/ns2:L_Entry/ns2:LCName"/>
    </activityConfig>
    </sensor>
    <instanceId>950016</instanceId>
    <processName>Test_JMS</processName>
    <processRevision>v2009_04_15__40833</processRevision>
    <domain>default</domain>
    <timestamp>2009-04-15T11:21:23.596-04:00</timestamp>
    <midTierInstance>app01.ulrhome.com:9700</midTierInstance>
    </header>
    <payload>
    <activityData>
    <activityType>scope</activityType>
    <evalPoint>completion</evalPoint>
    <durationInSeconds>0.011</durationInSeconds>
    <duration>PT0.011S</duration>
    </activityData>
    <variableData>
    <dataType>12</dataType>
    <data>
    <ns0:LCName xmlns:ns0="LC_Test1http://www.ulrhome.com/2008/10/L_Entry">LC_Test1</ns0:LCName>
    </data>
    <queryName/>
    <target>$WriteL_Produce_Message_InputVariable/L_Entry/ns2:L_Entry/ns2:LCName</target>
    <updaterName>AddL_Entry</updaterName>
    <updaterType>scope</updaterType>
    </variableData>
    </payload>
    </actionData>
    My requirement is that I need to add a sensor to the BPEL process which posts 'Only my payload message to the JMS queue'..
    What I would want the message in the Queue to be is : -
    <data>
    <ns0:LCName xmlns:ns0="LC_Test1http://www.ulrhome.com/2008/10/L_Entry">LC_Test1</ns0:LCName>
    </data>
    Also while creating a Sensor action I get another option as JMS Adaptor,I am not sure of what value to type in this wizard..Heres what I keyed in..M sure this is not right..Cos it dosnt work :-)
    <action name="SensorAction_JMS" publishName="" publishType="JMSAdapter" enabled="true" filter="" publishTarget="jms/LoggingQueue">
    <property name="JMSConnectionName">Log</property>
    </action>
    </actions>
    Could any 1 tel me what values are the right values..And does JMS Adapter mean that I have to create a JMS Apator in the project and give that connection name as a Value..
    I am not finding sufficiant Documentation for 'JMS Adapter' so M clueless and right now any help will be appriciated :-)
    Regards,
    Akshatha.

  • Release the connection in JMS Adapter

    Hi,
    I’m sending the message to JMS queue (queue is running in weblogic server) using JMS Adapter in BPEL. My question is how to release the weblogic connection once the message produced to queue. It is happen automatically or we have to release the connection explicitly. If it explicit handle means how to do it?
    It would very helpful for me if you send any reference doc or url about this.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Thanks
    Chandramohan

    The JMS adapater of SOA will handle this for you. You do not have to do anything with closing connections.

  • JMS adapter Usage

    Hi,
    JMS Adapter usage: BPEL process1 sends message to a JMS Queue.
    Bpel process2 subscribes to the same queue. For some reason Bpel process2 fails.
    What happens to the message?
    Thanks
    Nirmal

    If the consumer BPEL is asynchrnous, then the BPEL cannot be a part of the global transaction (with JMS Adapter).
    If the consume BPEL is synchronous, then the BPEL can be a part of the global transaction (with JMS Adapter).
    In the second case, if the BPEL transaction fails, then the jca.retry will happen i.e., the message is given to the BPEL instance again for jca.retry number of times, if it fails all the times, we can set paramaters such that the message is redirected to another queue...
    go to the Delivery Failure tab of the JMS queue/topic, and give the values for the following properties...
    Redelivery Limit : 3
    Expiration Policy : Redirect
    And also give the queue name where you want to redirect the message...
    Transaction in Oracle SOA 11g - BPEL
    Hope this helps

  • Configuring JMS adapter for a BPEL process which puts a msg in a Q of MQ

    Hi,
    I am trying to develop a BPEL process which picks up a message from a Q in Websphere MQ and puts that message in another Q of MQ after processing that.
    I have updated the oc4j-ra.xml with the following inputs:
    <connector-factory location="eis/MQSeries/Queue" connector-name="Jms Adapter">
              <config-property name="connectionFactoryLocation" value="com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueueConnectionFactory"/>
              <config-property name="factoryProperties" value="QueueManager=TestManager;TransportType=1;Hostname=machine's ip address;Port=1414;Channel=channel name for connecting to client"/>
              <config-property name="acknowledgeMode" value="AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE"/>
              <config-property name="isTopic" value="false"/>
              <config-property name="isTransacted" value="true"/>
              <config-property name="username" value="admin"/>
              <config-property name="password" value="welcome"/>
         </connector-factory>
    But while testing the BPEL process, I get the error:

    Can anyone tell me what has gone wrong in setting the connection factory for the Q or what else I have to configure to sort out this problem?
    Thanks,

    I am experiencing the exact same issue while configuring for Tibco EMS!!!
    I have also checked the oc4j-xa.xml file etc and I am also unable to find any guidance on the steps required from XML config files through to adapter wizard entries!

    I assume I have to enter a new JNDI-Entry somewhere but the JNDI-Browser in the Application Server is readonly.

    There are two ways to get data into BAM. There is the ADC web service that BPEL uses and then there's Enterprise Link which is the ETL tool that can grab data from Databases and other sources. I only used EL for jms and for ETLing data into a a BAM data object, I never used it for real time. The only real time BAM I've done is with BPEL projects with BAM sensors. I don't think EL is sophisticated enough for looking for changes in rows of data.
    Maybe you can have a db trigger that publishs the changed data to table specially designed for your task. Then you can create an EL "Plan" that runs periodically at a high enough rate that it appears to be in real time in BAM.
    Another possibility is to have the db trigger fire off an xml message that contains the data to the BAM ADC webservice. The BAM ADC web service is http://server:port/OracleBAM/Services/DataObject/DataObjectOperations.asmx.
    It has documentation on how to use it. I don't know if you're db can execute application code or not though.
