Another thing is, the actual password is not the same password I changed in DBMGUI and in Integration. Can you please help me with this error and -24964,ERR_EXECUTE: error in program execution keeps appearing in the logs.
Thank you.Hello Deanna Mariel Marasigan,
-> please check which user you set for LCA connection in LC10 -> Integration.
You wrote, that it's SAPLC1. Correct?
-> run the SQL statement as superdba user & check if this user is listed:
select * from domain.users
-> To make sure that the lcinit script works with the correct Standard liveCache
user then you should run the commands to check the
liveCache user in the upc container:
In a dbmcli session (e.g. in LC10 -> liveCache:Monitoring -> Tools)
sql_execute user-type=SAP select user from dual
Should return this user - SAPLC1
When an error returns ( unknown user/password ), then no user is set or wrong password.
To set the new password for Standard user in the upc container run:
dbmcli -d LC1 -n <LC-server> -u control,<control> user_sap SAPLC1,<pwd-new>
( please see the SAP note 616555 for more details ).
This sets the new user/pwd in the upc container.
After that the above command should return the user.
Restart the liveCache in the LC10 transaction.
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina -

Except for the "small" fact that we cannot init the LC, the sapdb system seems to run just fine ... hmmm
Any ideas?
Cheers
JanHello Jan Bronee,
During a SCM 7.0 SR1 upgrade of the system SCM 5.1 the you will be asked to run the liveCache upgrade. During the SCM 5.1 liveCache upgrade to the lSCM 7.0 liveCache will be initialized as it was pointed in the SCM 7.0 guide.
As you saw in the link provided by you the "COM libraries changelist mismatch" occurred, SAPTREX library has different CL number and may be not compatible.
=>
I recommend to create the SAP message to take a look closer on this issue.
Use SAP Note 1495739 to update the liveCache,
SAP liveCache Technology Release Information: SCM 7.0 [original link is broken]
What do you mean "the sapdb system seems to run just fine ... hmmm"?
Was you able to run the liveCache initialization to finish the liveCache upgrade before to run the upload liveCache data steps? -
Hi,
I was migrating our SCM 5.1 /Livecache 7.7.03 from Sun Solaris to IBM AIX. The export and import went very well and the sap is up and running now. But, the Livecache is not able to start using LC10 transaction (stop is working with LC10). I use DBM GUI to start. I get a small popup with the following error while try to start using LC10:

Hi there,
looks like you entered "DBADMIN" when you created the liveCache instance in DBMGUI as the DBM Operator.
For SAP installations, this user is always named "CONTROL".
So, drop the instance again, recreate it with "CONTROL" and re-do the recovery of the liveCache backup.

Livecache lock handler not available in APO
Hello Experts,
We are getting the error "Livecache lock handler not available" error when we are running planning jobs in SAP APO.
We are using parallel processing profiles for DP background processing jobs (Macro calculations) and I am getting this error only when a job is run with PP profile.
Below are the parameters of the parallel processing profiles:
Application: DP background processing
No of parallel processes: 2
Block Size: 500
The error message is written in the spool generated for the background job and the job fails. Eventually the process chain fails in which the job is included.
Please provide some pointers if anyone has come across the same error.
Regards,
RaghuHi JB,
Thanks for the note, Basis check the solution in the note and system seems to have met the requirements.
But one thing is likely to increase the MaxSQLLocks in the system as the demand of the locks is more than the availability. So basis is looking at this dimension to increase the number of locks in the system.
Will update soon in case of any conclusion.
Regards,
Raghu -
Problems with liveCache in APO
Hi experts,
I have an issue with regards to liveCache in APO and I hope someone can help me.
Whenever I try to create a Planning Version within a Model (via transaction /SAPAPO/MVM) the following
error message is provided: "General error in model / version management planning".
Through some research I found a document that makes the following recommendation: "Sometimes when you work in a multi-client system, you maybe encounter the following error message: "General error in model/planning version management". This error is due to the fact that in LiveCache the planning version already exists but it cannot be found on database. As a remedy, you have to remove this inconsistency by using the transaction /SAPAPO/OM17. For detailed information, please refer to SAP Note 519014."
Then, as recommended, I tried to execute the transaction /SAPAPO/OM17. But when I tried to execute this transaction another error message was released: "Connection to liveCache failed. Message no. /SAPAPO/OM000".
Moreover, the result of the transaction /SAPAPO/OM13 ( Analyze liveCache and LCA Objects ) shows the following errors and warnings:
Item

Thanks in advance for help.
Greetings,
Francisco Fonseca.Hi sai balakavi,
initially, thanks for the fast help.
As suggested, the issue was escalated to the BASIS team and the procedure chosen was as follows:
Shutdown SAP APO and liveCache (ECC + SE6) services
Shutdown DB Oracle (ORCL + ECC + APO + SE6) services
Logs verification
Restart server
Restart SAP APO and liveCache (ECC) services
Restart DB Oracle (ORCL + ECC + APO + SE6) services
However, the previous problems still persist. So, in order to get more information about the problem, I exported a full report (at the end of this message) on the result of the transaction /SAPAPO/OM13 ( Analyze liveCache and LCA Objects ).
Is there any other action to be taken in addition to shutdown and restart of liveCache services?
Thanks in advance for help.
Greetings,
Francisco Fonseca.

Dear All
I have a SCM 7.0 application with Live Cache installed. The same was working fine till few days back.
However, now, when I am trying to start Live Cache using LC10, I am receiving an error as per the lcinit.log.

LokeshHI there,
why don't you take a closer look to what is in the message?
> Internal errorcode, Error code 9050 "disk_not_accessible"
> 20017,RestartFilesystem failed with 'I/O error'
> ERROR : Restart not possible (please check KnlMsg)
There is a problem with the liveCache disks.
This problem prevents that the liveCache can be started.
For more information you should look into the KNLMSG file.
Why don't you just do that?
The file will tell you what file is the problem and what kind of problem there is with the file.

Livecache lock handler not available
Regards,
Raghu -
Hi Gurus ,
We have done a restoration from the Production to Quality for system refresh .
We have got the restoration sucessfully .
After the restoration , we have changed the

Now when starting the Live Cache ,we get the following error

Anthony D'souzaHello Anthony,
Please review the SAP note::
457425 Homogenous liveCache copy using backup/restore
you got the following error in the knldiag::
2007-08-02 17:11:01 115 ERR 20029 Log DBIdentifier of DataVolume (glpscm:
KLP_20060920_111005) and LogVolume (gaqscm:GLQ_20060530_124209) does not match
The reason is, that your data backup is not compatible to the actuall log on your target system. So you have to perform the explained instance install procedure or go with 'Recovery After Initializing a Database Instance' in DBMGUI to clear the log there.
This is called the 'db_activate' what initializes the old used volumes.
-> What version of the DBMGUI do you have?
And if you carry out a restart before the restore, the error
'-8003: log and data must be compatible' will occur after the restore.
The error means that there is a mismatch between the DBindentifier of the log and datavolume, as you know.
As you saw in the note 457425, which explains the procedure for a homogenous liveCache copy:
"In Version 7.4, a normal recovery is NOT sufficient to import a backup from another system. You must install a liveCache database instance beforehand. You MUST begin at point 1 if you are using this version."
You could create a liveCache (with the option 'restore') and then restore the backup of the source liveCache before the restart, for exmple. The detailed procedure is given in note 457425.
Or if you used the DBMGUI, please go with 'Recovery After Initializing a
Database Instance', you will find a description for using the wizards in the MAXDB documentation:
You could review the documents at : http://maxdb.sap.com/currentdoc/default.htm
If you would like to use DBMGUI to create the instance for the recovery on the target server or use Restoring After Initializing a Database Instance,
see the info at
Tools -> Database Manager GUI -> Creating a Database Instance ->Custom
OR
"Restoring After Initializing a Database Instance" at
http://maxdb.sap.com/currentdoc/30/5ada35596211d4aa83006094b92fad/content.htm
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina -

Regards,
PrashantHello Prashant,
the error does not occur during loading the system tables, but during loading the liveCache applications (lcapps).
The error message you quoted is just the general information, that an error occured, the detailed error message can be seen in the text below that lin:
'CREATE USER %s PASSWORD %s DBA NOT EXCLUSIVE' %
Error----
unexpected Error -2014
ERROR : liveCache LCA not started
The SAP-User should be created in the database (which is either SAPR3 or SAP<SID>). I assume that you specified a password for this user which is not allowed. Please check the entries for this user in the integration data and double-check that you entered the same information with the user_sap command. For further information see
https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/x/UC8
If you still cannot solve this issue, please open a customer message that the support can logon to your system to check what's going wrong.

Livecache not starting from lc10
Hi Folks,
I just did a system restore from our PRod to Test in our SCM system.
Followed the steps in notes 457425 and 877203 to complete the livecache restore, load_systabs, which was successfull, changed the standard livecache user/password for the target system, maintained integration data and tried to bring up the livecache in lc10, but it gives the familiar error

We are planning to upgrade from BW 3.5 to NW 2004s. Our main concern is with the BW-BPS object migration. Per my understanding, there are two provisions BW-BPS and BI-IP - for planning in 2004s (both can run in parallel!!). http://help.sap.com/s
