Error loading a .exe labview application (attachement)
I developped a monitoring application in labview 2010, containing video monitoring using 2 webcams. In the module for video monitoring I call the avicap32.dll and the user32.dll using the call library function.
It runs perfectly. But when I build a .exe and run it on the development PC it will crash before loading and tells me that the following files (attached) can describe what went wrong:
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\WERE917.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\WER4348.tmp.appcompat.txt
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\WER4378.tmp.mdmp
when I run the .exe on another PC (with the labview 2010 RTE installed) it generates an "Entry Point Not Found - The procedure entry point wscat_s could not be located in the dynamic link library ntdll.dll" error and other one "Entry Point Not Found - The procedure entry point _except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll". And opens the program with a broken arrow.
when I press on the broken error, it gives the following error:
Missing external function user32.dll: SendMessageA:C in VI myvi.vi.
Missing external function avicap32.dll: capCreateCaptureWindowA:C in VI myvi.vi.
I'm sorry about the large amount of information, but I had to put everything I saw.
Does anyone knows what went wrong and what should I do?
Thank you

Post the code you are using to build the .EXE.
I suspect you have a path issue to the actual dll calls. Make sure your paths are absolute paths

How do I embed bitmaps into a built (.exe) LabVIEW application?
I am trying to embedd bitmap images (icons) into the exe file of a built LabVIEW application. I tried it, and got them in a "data" folder. I want everything in the .exe file, you know, just like C/C++ or just about any other programming language.
If anyone has any tips, I would be grateful.
I know about embedding the images in the controls, but that is not my goal. I need images as files to be embedded, somehow, into the .exe. The reason is I am using the picture control to read the images, but they are static once they are read. If it is possible for the picture controls to somehow retrieve the images from some other source, that would work also.
Otherwise, if someone knows how to dynamicall
y embed bitmap or other images into buttons in an array, that would be useful as well.

Actually, many C and C++ programs, like LV itself have folders of data
that aren't linked into their code. But, if that is what you are
looking for, one pretty easy way is to load the images into memory and
place them into a 2D array of data, a string etc. Make an array of
these and make the value default. At runtime, you can now skip the file
I/O, or you can write the data to a temporary on launch and read them
back whenever you like.

Error loading csv file from application server
Hi all,
While uploading a csv file from the application server to psa we are getting the following error,
Error 2 while splitting CSV data record
Message no. RSDS_ACCESS011
Diagnosis
Error 2 occurred while splitting the CSV data record 1
1 = Could not find a closing escape character
2 = Invalid escape character
3 = Conversion error
4 = Other error
System Response
The function was terminated.
Procedure
Check the values of the data separator and escape sign, and try again.
But i've checked the file and the escape sign, data seperator in it also. Everything is fine. The same file we are able to load successfully in quality system.
How to solve this error??
Thanks in advance.Hi BI consultant:
Could you please provide more details?
For example:
1.Is your P application server a UNIX flavor? (Solaris, AIX, UX, Linux)
If yes..
2. Are you able to see the contents of the file correctly with a "cat" or "vi" command? (at operating system level).
If no...
3. Did you upload the csv flat file to the server via FTP?
If yes...
4. Did you use the "binary" or the "ascii" parameter on the FTP command used to upload the file?
Probably you need to upload the CSV file again to your application server and make sure you can se the file contents ("cat" or "vi" command) before trying to execute the InfoPackage.

Francisco Milán.

Error 6 while Building Labview Application OSX
Hello everyone,
I have an application I am trying to compile on OSX10.8 using Labview 2012. I built the application fine yesterday, however, after some work today I don't seem to be able to replicate the feat.
Everytime I try to build I receive the following error:
"Error copying files. Source: Macintosh HD:Applications:National Instruments:LabVIEW 2012:resource:lvanlys.framework Destination: Macintosh HD:tNIAB:appName.appupport:lvanlys.framework Delete in Copy From Folder To Folder.vi->Librarian Copy.vi->AB_Destination.lvclass:Copy_File.vi->AB_Source.lvclass:Copy_SourceItem.vi->AB_Build.lvclass:Copy_Files.vi->AB_Application.lvclass:Copy_Files.vi->AB_EXE.lvclass:Copy_Files.vi->AB_Build.lvclass:Build.vi->AB_Application.lvclass:Build.vi->AB_EXE.lvclass:Build.vi->AB_Build.lvclass:Build_from_Wizard.vi->AB_UI_Frmwk_Build.lvclass:Build.vi->AB_UI_FRAMEWORK.vi->AB_Item_OnDoProperties.vi->AB_Item_OnDoProperties.vi.ProxyCaller<APPEND> Macintosh HD:tNIAB:appName.appupport:lvanlys.framework"
Anyone have any suggestions?Nothing that should matter. I updated some logic in the VIs and added some OS dependent conditional disable structures. The project file has remained the same.
I think it might be a permissions error. Before this particular error, it randomly started giving me some errors when I tried to save things saying I didn't have permission to save certain things. So I attempted to fix all the permission mismatches with some good old chmod. And then it started giving this error.
It also does not appear to help to revert the code to the state it was in when it was first built. This leads me to beleive it is not something to do with the source code. -
Dummy: Illustrator.exe - Fatal Application Exit

* Adobe Creative Suite 1 Premium
Tried running in XP compatibility, never gets past load screen
Tried running as Administrator, same error
Tried running updates: 5 of the 8 available CS4 updated failed to install (none appeared to be associated with Illustrator, however).
Anyone else encounter this or know of a solution?
Dont' know why the error lists "Dummy: Illustrator.exe" nor why it is looking for version 4.0.1 of the VersionCue.dll. I located version 4.0.0 in a slightly different directory path.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Version Cue CS4\Client\4.0.0\VersionCue.DLL
I may try moving a copy into the expected location and see if that allows a launch.
-mtThe root cause of this issue has finally been identified. This issue, cause, and solution are documented here:
http://www.adobe.com/go/kb408524
Please note that if a previous update failed due to the root cause, then it can leave your files in a state which will prevent future updates from working, simply because they don't find the files in the expected state. In which case, you need to do the complete solution, which involves a clean re-install (sorrry :-(

I have been developing a VI file that has
been working fine, until now. I am using 8.6.
Every time I attempt to open this file
I keep getting:
How do I fix the error code:
Labview: Memory is
full.
An error occurred loading VI. LabView load error code 1:
LabView load error code %ld: %p”
On a separate dialog:
“Not enough memory to complete this
operation.”
I ran VI analyzer which told that the
VI:
One or more errors occurred during
analysis.
Testing errors tab – Vi not loadable
and my file name. At the bottom in the error description I got:
“Error 74. Memory or data structure
corrupt. <my file path> and <file name>.”
Could not be opened.
Is there anything I can do to recover
the file?Hi kevin_khan,
I went ahead and tried to open it and got the error attached.

Teststand error states that a vi failed to load in the Labview Run-Time Engine
I am getting an error in teststand that states that a vi failed to load in the Labview Run-Time Engine version '14.0.1'
If I look at the software loaded on my system with the NI Measurement and Automation Explorer I have Labview Run Time engines for version 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, & 2014 on my system.
How do I get this VI to run on this system when it is called by test Stand?
Thank youThe RTE 14.0 was loaded as part of my deployment and after I ran this I got an update notice for the F1 patch which I also loaded.
I do not have labview loaded on this system, only the run time engines from running my deployment.
When I launch t he teststand sequence, when it calls the labview VI, I get the following error moessage:
Error: Failed to load VI 'C:\builds\RelayVoltageMeaure.vi' in the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine version '14.0.1'. LabVIEW: The VI is not executable. This error may occur because the VI is either broken or contains a subVI that LabVIEW cannot locate. Select File>>Open to open the VI and verify that you can run it. VI Path: C:\builds\RelayVoltageMeaure.vi[Error Code: -17600, Failed to load a required step's associated module. ]
I have attached the teststand sequence if this helps.
Thanks

Hi,
a colleague in India cannot install the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 8.5.1 on Windows XP. On attempting to install, an error box is shown, which says:
(window title)
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library:
(message box text)
Runtime error!
Program: C:\National Instruments Downloads\LabVIEW 8.5.1\Runtime Engine\setup.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
http://img529.imageshack.us/my.php?image=runtimeerrorvt7.jpg
I didn't find any relevant clues for this in NI forums. A search at Google brought me to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/884538/en-us, offering a HotFix to solve the problem. Unfortunately, the installation of this HotFix does not solve the problem.
Do you know this behavior and do you have any ideas how the problem can be solved?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards
Manuel

log in as administrator and kill all processes not needed and try again. I've seen cases where one of these free download tweak applications (like "Memory Defragmentation" and stuff like that) caused that error.

Example for loading a csv file into diadem from a labview application
Hi everyone, i'm using labview 8.2 and DIAdem 10.1.
I've been searching in NI example finder but I had no luck so far.
I have already downloaded the labview connectivity VIs.
Can anyone provide a example that can help me loading a csv file into diadem from a labview application?
ThanksHi Alexandre.
I attach an example for you.
Best Regards.

Having problems with Bridge shutting down after saving photo in PS Cs5,,,,,,,,, Also when i attempt to update either PS or bridge get an error message in Adobe application manger "Error loading updater workflow"
Sorry for the late reply. My email firewall has become a little over zealous & sent a lot of my emails straight to my junk email folder, so I have only just now discovered your reply in my junk mail folder.
The only "don't open files exceeding xxx megabytes" instruction I can find in my Prefs, is in the Bridge Prefs for Thumbnails, & mine is set at 1000mb. The biggest files I handle are bigger than 200mb so I should be able to open a few, not just one.
However, this doesn't explain why I can open a psd format file of 180mb, close it, but then can't open a RAW format file of only 26mb immediately after.
I can open the RAW file only if I restart my computer - very annoying!
However, thanks for the advice about the video card & memory.
So, I'm still stuck as to what the issue is. -
Just did the iTunes update that iTunes said was available, now iTunes won't open. I just keep getting a Runtime Error message.
R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the apps support team for more info.
Is anyone else having this problem?
I tried to re-install and got the following message: iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 1114)
Does this mean I have now lost everything?I just had the same error:
R6034

I went to http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925 and did a complete removal and reinstallation of iTunes. You MUST follow the directions here exactly...it's more than just iTunes that must be removed, and it MUST be done in the order in which the support article says. I followed the exact instructions, and iTunes is back on my machine (no more C runtime error) and you do NOT lose your music...it's all in my library, as it was before.
Good luck! -
My iTunes will not start. The box on the error message APSDaemon.exe, And message says "This application failed to start because MSVC80.dll was not found. Reinstalling may fix." I did the reinstall and I get the same error. The error first happened after I approved the an iTurns update.
Same problem today. Took five times to reinstall without any error messages. Apple has posted a way to fix and you should follow their's first. I finally got to upldate correctly by doing their fix but with one difference. I did the following:
1) Went to the C:\program files (x86)\iTunes and C:\program files\iTunes folders and moved every file ending in .dll to the desktop (even if two files in same location had the same name, just replace)
2) Restarted computer and still got error message
3) Uninstalled all apple programs possible in the following order......itunes, apples software update, apple mobile device support, bonjour, and apple application support.....all performed using the microsoft control panel
4) put all the .dll files on the desktop in the trash and emptied (this is a step apple support did not specifically put in their fix but for a final try I wanted to delete everything apple).
5) Restarted computer.
6) Re-installed itunes from apple website
No error messages during re-install and was able to open shortcut in one try. Even updated my ipad to make sure everything was working.
