Error loading 'ole32.dll': Missing export '_resetstkoflw' from 'MSVCRT.DLL'

I'm getting the RT error:
Error loading 'ole32.dll': Missing export '_resetstkoflw' from 'MSVCRT.DLL'
LabVIEW RT 2011
I've reinstalled RT several times but am still seeing the error.
I only see it after closing my application.
I've attached a report of my RT system.
Any ideas on what I might be missing?

Hello Robert,
I wasn't able to find too much about this error on our end, but doing a wider search it seems errors involving MSVCRT.DLL usually take place when this Microsoft C Runtime Library file is replaced by a third-party file that lacks "_resetstkoflwfunction". It's odd that the error occurs only after closing the application. Here is a third-party website I was able to find which explains this in a bit more detail, and might be a fix to try if your are comfortable: How to Fix Common Msvcrt.dll Errors?

• Error loading 'ModelCom.dll': Missing export 'GetModuleHandleW' from 'KERNEL32

Hallo zusammen,
Error loading 'ModelCom.dll': Missing export 'GetModuleHandleW' from 'KERNEL32.DLL'
Fehlermeldung:
Error loading 'ModelCom.dll': Missing export 'GetModuleHandleW' from 'KERNEL32.DLL'

• Error Loading lvdaq.dll

Hello LabView Discussion forum.
I am currently using LabView 2009. My research supervisor has been attempting to open Legacy files from Labview 7.1 on the more modern version, with no success. After doing a little research, I found that I needed to download Traditional DAQ in order to get the newer version of LabView to open the older file. I first downloaded the DAQ for 7.4.1 and installed it with setup.exe, after which I attempted to open the program. I got the "Error loading lvdaq.dll... Initialization failed" error. I then downloaded 7.4.4, thinking perhaps it would be a better version. Same error. I am now downloading version 7.1 (an earlier legacy DAQ), thinking that perhaps the version numbers ought to match up from the origin of the older file to the legacy DAQ I have to run it. Hopefully this will work (and if it does I will simply delete my post), however if it doesn't, I shall update my post, and hopefully get some help figuring out what needs to be done.
I thank you in advance for any assistance rendered.
Solved!
Go to Solution.

I had quite a few "Can't find file" errors, which we fixed by manually browsing through the library files (.llb) and finding the files in question.
Once all of the files were found, I attempted to load the program, and I got a (nidaq.32) error, which we fixed by downloading the legacy version of DAQ.
Once this had been done, I attempted to load the program again, only to get the error consistent with my post title.
The error comes up when I attempt to open the VI, not just when I load LabView.
As you said, it might be that version 9 simply is unable to, but I don't know why that would be the case. Lack of backwards compatibility in a software like this doesn't seem to make very much sense.
I'll check it though. Thank you very much good sir! I'll update the thread if I find that version 9 is indeed not compatible.

• RUNDLL Error loading CTMBHA.DLL invalid access to memory locat

Error message at start up:? "Error loading CTMBHA.DLL? Invalid access to memory location"
Does anyone know if this file has to do with Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED MB Ready, DR release 5.0.3708 ??If so, I will follow the reinstall instructions per the FAQ.?Thanks.

Here's the solution from the_Riddler that works:?So I broke out REGMON from sysinternals, and tried the install when the Status 200 error came up I saw that they were accessing the "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Creative Labs\Licenses" directory.. So I went to the Directory and renamed the B3420000.dat file there to B3420000.dat.old?Then did another reinstall and sure enough the application continued and allowed me activate the product and continue the install..

• What causes inconsistent error: Error loading "mydll.dll" Invalid access to memory location.

I have a set of sample code vis which are wrappers around an external dll using the call library function nodes. These work in all versions of LabVIEW from 6.1 to 8.2. In version 8 and 8.2, there is an inconsistent error which appears after a vi is opened, run successfully, closed and then re-opened some time later - all without closing LabVIEW. The error is reported without an error number as 'Error loading "myDll.dll". Invalid access to memory location.' If LabVIEW is closed, reopened and the vi loaded again and run, it works fine. The same error occurs if a second vi calling the same .dll is loaded and run after the first is successful.
Since the vi works just fine the first time it is opened, why does this error occur the second time? What do I have to change so that I don't have to close LabVIEW every time I want to run a different VI?
Thanks in advance.
Mike.

Mea culpa. We have found a fix for this. It relates to our dll structure. We create a message pump in the dll associated with a hidden window. When the dll is initialized, the window is registered with the operating system. When the dll is unloaded, the window is closed but we weren't de-registering it. This caused the problem the second time the dll was loaded. By de-registering when the dll is unloaded, the problem has been solved.

• Error loading jvm.dll - urgent!!

Hi,
When I try to compile using javac, I get an error as stated below:
Error loading: y:\sys\nt\j2sdk-1_3_1\jre\bin\hotspot\jvm.dll
What am I missing?
Thanks

check if jvm.dll exists in y:\sys\nt\j2sdk-1_3_1\jre\bin\hotspot. May not be a good solution but try to uninstall and re-install j2sdk. Also check ur CLASSPATH settings

• Error Loading JVM.dll on WinNT

Hi
We have recently, installed Oracle Apps 11i. While applying a patch on Apps 11i, we were getting a Java error - Error Loading: ...\classic\jvm.dll. And we are unable to apply the Apps11i patch.
I checked the entire Server for JVM.dll, but could not find it.
After checking this forum, I found, that, a similar BUG in Java has been reported, but most of the BUG descriptions are for WIN 95 and WIN2K and NOT for WinNT.
Could someone help me out.
Enviroment Info:
Product :- Oracle Apps 11i
Platform :- WinNT 4.0
Regards

jvm.dll should be in the <java>\bin\classic directory.
If it's not, then I THINK there's something wrong with your java runtime environment (jre).
Is this something you installed yourself - the java - or was it soemthing dropped on yoour system by the Oracle product?
o former: Get a new jre.

• Getting errors loading flat file into BI 7 from application server

We are able to load the file via local (from the PC) successfully but when we try and load the exact same file from the application server we get an error:
Error 'The argument '151.8470707' cannot be interpreted as a number' when assigning application structure, line 478, contents "11 140604 1000 8110 902070 P..."
What is really strange if we split the file into 2 we are able to load each of the sections successfully from the appliation server. We have a need to load the whole file from the application server and don't wish to split it up. Can anyone tell me how to make this work??

what I should do is the following:
open the 3 files you have using notepad and compare line 478 in the original file (that had the error) with the corresponding line in one of those 2 other files. what are the differences? the answer to this question might give you a clue.
and if you don't see any differences try to cut and paste that one line with the error to a new 4th file and load this one and see if the error reoccurs (I think it will).

• BPC75NW: Error Loading Master data for BPC Dimensions from BW InfoObject

Hello Gurus,
I'm trying to load master data for BPC Dimensions from BW Infoobjects.
The ID thats used in BW is 32 char long. When I run the load, the ID is truncated after 20 chars and the records are reported as duplicates.
Due to this the load is failing.
I cannot use any other ID as the texts will not be loaded in that case.
Is there any work around to handle this?
I cannot load the transaction data either.
I looked at some posts and blogs in sdn, but nothing really helped.

Thanks Everyone.

Poonam - Could you explain more?
I tried using a additional Dimension property to hold the 32 char ID. But I cannot access this in the transformation.
Is there a way to refer the dimension property in the Transformation file or in the UJD_ROUTINE BADI implementation?

• C++ builder 6 unresolved external error loading a dll

Im using LabVIEW 6.1 and i'm trying to export a DLL that performs math routines (such as FFT and stuff..) to include it im my BC#B6 project. I chose the C Calling convention (because the Standard Calling Convention cannot be converted by the Coff2omf.exe tool (to get rid of the 0x21 error)). Still, i now get the following linking error (it searches for an underscore before the first letter of my function):
[Linker Error] Unresolved external '_calcul' referenced from E:\WORK\PROJECT\CALLINGFORM.OBJ
for now i only have a simple "multiply by 2" function that takes an int and returns an int :
int16 __cdecl calcul(int16 Input);
I would like to know...
1 - How to get rid of this problem - where is the source
of the problem (application builder i guess)?
2 - Will I have this problem if i link dynamically the driver?
3 - do i need to link the Run-time engine dlls to make it work in both static and dynamic loading?
Simon Lapierre
[email protected]

Hello Simon,
Thank you for contacting National Instruments.
When you created your DLL in LabVIEW, a LIB file should also have been created. To call the DLL in C#, make sure that you include the LIB file in C#.
In answer to your questions:
1. You can solve this problem by including the LIB file in C#.
2. You will not have this problem if you dynamically link the driver.
3. You do not need to link the Run-time engine DLLs to make it work in both static and dynamic loading.
I hope this helps. Let me know if this does not solve your problem.

• Error loading in DLL (Crystal reports 2008 version 12.3)

we have installed the software but While adding the reference in VB,and while selecting the (Crystal Report ActiveX Viewer 12.0) we can't add as a reference it is showing (error in loading DLL) so please request you to check this error which is attached and revert on this As early as possible.

Thread moved to the NET - SAP Crystal Reports forum.
For timely response, it is important to make sure you post to the correct forum (check the header of each forum).
From your description, I suspect that you are trying to use the COM based Report Designer Component(?). This component has been retired in CR XI R2. The activeX viewer you are trying to access is only included for internal purposes and you are not licensed to use it at all. In CR 2008, you will have to use the CR SDK for Visual Studio .NET.

• Error loading jvm.dll

our company has an application that we use for company business that runs off Java. Lately, I have several users that can no longer launch the application. All are receiving the same error "The Java Runtime Environment cannot be loaded from <C:\PROGR~2\Oracle\JINITI~1.18\ bin\hotspot\jvm.dll> We are running IE 10, Window 7 and latest version of Java. • Error Loading DLL: Missing export

Hey,
I'm having a problem running an RT DLL (call it file2) that uses an RT DLL (call it file1) that uses nixnet. When I try to debug file2, I get the error message:
Error loading 'file1.dll': Missing export 'nxClear' from 'file1.dll'
I know that the linking is somehow messed up because nxClear is not a function in file1.dll. It's a function from the nixnet library. I would think that nxClear would be an import for file1.dll so it seems like I haven't got something setup correctly. To include the nixnet library in file1.dll, in the .c file that uses it all I have done is #include "nixnet.h" and this has been sufficient for debugging file1.dll. But now that I'm using file1.dll in file2.dll it seems confused about where nxClear comes from.
How do I link stuff in file1.dll correctly?
Any help is appreciated,
Kevin Key

I discovered that I had to include the nixnet.lib file in the project. Although, it's not necessary for other ni libraries (for instance nidaqmx) because they must be linked in correctly.

• How do I stop Win7 from breaking my software? Ole32.dll and "Power" service suspected culprits.

Hello and thanks for any help with this.
I built a new computer for my aunt and her one major request is that she still be able to use her card maker software Creatacard (yes misspelled just like that) by American Greetings. I thought this would be no issue, I could give her a much faster machine
and get her off (the no longer supported) WindowsXP all at the same time by moving her to Windows7 and copying all her files over from the old PC to the new one.
I tested the software first on a test PC of mine and found it would not install in a 64bit environment (error message saying use 32bit during install) which I solved by using Windows7 32bit. It worked perfectly so I proceeded to build her machine thinking
that issue resolved. Problem is after the new rig was built and SP1 plus all windows updates were installed the Creatacard software would not load. I get an instant popup message saying "Creatacard Application File has stopped working" with the options
to "Check online for a solution..." and "Close the Program."
Checking online does nothing noticeable and close program doesn't help as every time you reload it fails immediately with the same message. Clicking on the "view problem details" drop menu reveals that this is an APPCRASH with the following clues
Fault Module Name ole32.dll
Fault Module Version 6.1.7601.17514
I have researched and tried everything I could find online about this crash and none of it (up to and including completely re-installing Windows, systematically loading a few Win-updates and trying the app after each batch, editing the registry multiple
times, trying alt versions of ole32.dll, and using a Linux live CD to alter windows settings) has fixed the problem. I have learned the following though:
When windows is first installed the card maker software (CMS from here on) works fine.
After windows updates itself and a few device drivers auto load (like when you first plug in a USB mouse or Flash drive) CMS breaks.
Loading windows normally after it is up to date always causes CMS to crash and give the above message.
When I perform a "clean boot" CMS works fine once again.
When I boot into safe mode CMS works fine.
Someone online suggested a service could be the actual problem and there being 140 of them I used the 50% method to quickly narrow the list and found that yes indeed windows services do appear to be related because if I don't allow the "Power"
service to run the CMS works perfectly. With a bit of testing to see what it does I found that it controlled wake/sleep settings, delay until your monitor goes dark etc and that if the Power service is disabled it remembers the last settings entered and I
thought GREAT! Finally after many days of frustration and being balked by nonsense I have a solution. My aunt will never use/miss the power settings I will set them up for her once and then kill that service and all is well for a Happy Holiday... (from my
research online some may already guess where this is headed) until I went to play a video............ and there was no sound.
A little red X had appeared next to the speaker icon down in the system tray next to the clock and hovering over it gave a popup with "The Audio Service is not running." This is where the BS gets deep. I had of course NOT disabled the sound (Windows
Audio) service and a quick check showed it and all the services it depended on were in fact on and running. The Windows trouble shooter offered to fix the issue and so I let it run but it comes back with "one or more Audio service is not running"
and attempting to restart the service on its own came back with a "Not fixed" result. Now if I go to check dependencies for the "Power" it claims that no other services depend on it and it depends on nothing but that is an outright lie.
Further digging shows me the Power service's "path to executable" as... C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k DcomLauncher and many other services show they depend on DcomLauncher to run.
Long extra trouble shooting session short here is where I am at. I can have the sound working or the CMS but not both.
Uninstalling and re-installing the sound card drivers didn't help (since sound is being stopped at the windows OS level) either.
As soon as I turn on the Power service and reboot the CMS breaks. As soon as I disable the Power service and reboot the CMS works perfectly but all audio breaks. Both of these are a deal breaker as she will not leave her old slow XP machine without her CMS
and I cannot give her a new machine that has no sound. Reboots take 30 seconds on this new PC so were it mine I could just live with it as the CMS has no sound and I don't need music playing when I am designing a Christmas card. Use the sound/power on 99%
of the time and disable them and reboot whenever I make a card and then enable and reboot when I am done. This would be over her head though I fear as she is a senior and not very tech savvy. My question then is...
Is there any way to have the CMS work while still keeping the Windows Audio service (and all the other not listed but still existing dependent services) running? Or alternatively is there something else I can do to the ole32.dll to make it stop the crash/error?
To be clear I would happily accept a system without the Power service running if (like it actually says under dependencies) nothing else other than the "Power Options" in Control Panel ceased to function.

Thanks Michael. Apologies for the slow reply I was away for a bit (holiday blitz at work and visiting family madness etc.etc.) back now, I set both options you requested to "never " and retried the CMS software with no change.
I do have progress of a sort though, as a test I took a separate test PC and put a clean install of Win7 on and loaded up the CMS software (it worked perfectly) and then took the version of ole32.dll off that machine and put it onto the computer I had built
for her (using Linux) and...
got a new error code. Darn I was so sure I had found a clever solution this time lol.
Anyway now when the CMS fails it gives me a similar error but the offending module is "ntdll.dll" sooo... I tried taking the "working" version of ntdll.dll from the test box and moving it over (making sure to back up the existing ones
first so I could put them back if needed) to her new PC and the PC would not boot.
It seems to want the original versions of a few Dynamic Link Libraries and if I could somehow give it those while not breaking Win7 it should theoretically work seeing as it no longer errors with ole32.dll.
ntdll.dll however seems necessary for Win7 to boot.
So what I am wondering now is:
Is there some way to have both versions of the DLL file in the system32 folder (bypassing the "cannot have two files with the exact same name in the same folder" thing) or rename the original DLL's something else and somehow make the CMS look for
the new named versions so the system has the updated DLL's it needs to boot/run and the CMS has the old ones it wants to run or is there someway to have a self contained install of the CMS, say on a USB flash drive and give it it's own E:/windows/system32/needed
dll's path to the files it needs?
Willing to try any other options or settings you may have come up with as well.
Thanks again for your reply and my apologies for not answering sooner.

• Error During INSTALL of Application Export File

An error is reported during INSTALL of an application that I am trying to copy (Import/Install) from a "development" Work Space into a "production" Work Space. The production (target) Work Space is on the same HTML DB instance as the development Work Space.
I am receiving the following INSTALL error:

ORA-06550: line 15, column 1: PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol ",'39','RD8','8','S','10','U','43','UD','41','UG','11','W')) END)" when expecting one of the following: . Following is some pertinent (hopefully) information:
The above INSTALL error takes exception to part of a Region Select (sql) that works fine in the development Work Space.
The common HTML DB (v1.6) instance is on UNIX.
A new Work Space was created on the same instance.
A new schema name was created during creation of the new Work Space. However, this schema does not point to a database. (We were not certain how to setup the schema to parse to our live database.) I will be running DBLINK upon production application startup in order to access the database objects.

Please refer to above error message.
Again, any insights or suggestions are appreciated.

Urgently need help! I've read several other Forum messages having a related problem but none having same Install error message.

The "snippet" of Region Sql Select code that relates to the reported error is:

HTML DB version is: 1.6.0.00.67. I've also tried to Export/Import/Install the application into the "same" Workspace specifying the same schema, and only changing the Application ID. However, I get the same Install error (see above).
Any suggestions on things to try in order to get application into production is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Bernard.
