Error Number & Error String

Hi
I have clarified some doubts. Please see the screen shot below.
What is mean by Error No: 30477, Error No: 45, Error No: 21., etc.,
Please explain "Error Number"" and "Error String" topic.

Unfortunately, i don't know which function is returning this error message.   I have a generic error catch routine, which i obviously need to make more specific, and in the function where this error occurs i have several NIDAQmx function calls.   I was hoping by finding more description on this error message it might help me determine which function was returning the error. 
Here are some of the functions I call:
DAQmxCreateAOVoltageChan
DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming
DAQmxSetWriteRegenMode
DAQmxWriteAnalogF64
The main problem is that i support the application in question and a remote user is having the issue.  I cannot repeat it on my station.

  • Javascript Error! Error number: 45 error string: Objects is invalid line: 387, Line 428

    I am running Indesign CS3 on an XP computer. I installed a plugin for barcodes from teacup Software, Barcodemaker for Indesign CS3 win and this has crashed my Indesign CS3.
    Everytime I startup I get this Javascript error! Error number: 45 Error string: objects is invalid line: 387 I hit enter and iget the same message line: 428.
    The adobe knowledge base has a message http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb402389&sliceId=2
    I can't find the file Pluginconfig.txt on my computer to delte as suggested in this article. Can anyone help with this issue.
    I have uninstalled the plugin and I have try to repair/reinstall my copy of Indesigh CS3 version 5.0.4 but it still is not possible to use Indesign.
    Has anyone encoutered this problem? Can you tell me where to find this file Pluginconfig.txt.

    This is a hidden folder, so you'll need to set Explorer to show hidden files if you haven't already. Start by just renaming the folder to _InDesign Recovery and it should rebuild on the next launch if this is going to work. If it doesn't work, you won't have lost anything.
    Might work even better if you were to try a system restore, however. Do you have a restore point from before the plugin was installed?

    It’s giving an invalid number error. When we pass one value it is working fine but when we pass a string of values it gives this error. I have opened an SR around this but would greatly appreciate your help

  • Find the Column Name which gives Invalid Number Error

    Hi,
    There are about 150 columns in a table and data to this table is from a external source like flat file. when these data are loaded to the table for a particular column it gives Invalid Number Error. So need to find for Which Numeric Column a String Value is about to be inserted.
    since we are sure not whether the proper Values are coming from Source in Front End we pass the Value within ' quotes.
    So how do we get the Column for which the error is raised :-)

    If you are using SQL*Loader, the log will tell you which row and column has the error.
    Otherwise you may need to code your own debugging statements.

  • Invalid Number Error Please help Urgent

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a report in discoverer where in I get an invalid number error for the statement
    ,DECODE(final.TYP,'Sales',to_char(final.future_supplpy),'B/O','B/O') sale_type.
    We have the requirement that when TYP is Sales i need to display future supply and when the TYP is B/O i need to display B/O.
    The query runs perfectly fine in TOAD but in Discoverer Desktop when i run the report i get an error message
    invalid number.
    Please help its urgent

    Hi Ashwani
    First of all, your statement appears to not be handling anything other than Sales or B/O. Is that deliberate? If not, you need a default, catch all value at the end like this:
    DECODE(final.TYP,'Sales',NVL(final.future_supply,to_char(final.future_supply),'B/O','B/O', default_value) sale_type
    You also might want to make sure there aren't any NULL values in future_supply or in TYP and if there are you might want to consider using an NVL for these, like this:
    DECODE(final.TYP,'Sales',NVL(to_char(final.future_supply,NULL),'B/O','B/O', default_value) sale_type
    Also, when using DECODE you don't always need to use TO_CHAR as the DECODE conversion to a string typically takes place automatically. CASE is different as it insists that all results are of the same data type.

  • Scorecard error "For input string" ....

    Hi has anyone had and solved the following error?
    When selecting "Last Run", one of my scorecards is returing an error "For Input string "7127912115" right after loading the Key data domain details.
    When selecting "Now" it works fine.
    However, when I send out the "Share link" it come back with the same error.  See attached.
    Please help?

  • Error number -1728 Applescript & some issues with spotToProcess

    I have been working on this script for weeks. Basically I would like to batch (using AS) illustrator files. (open, find spot colors, change to process, save, close). So far I'm able to open files but the part when is supposed to change them into process is falling giving me an error number -1728 from document 1 of document 1.  I tried to put as many --comments on the script
    I want to clarify my knowlege in AS is basic. What is this error? I search specifically for this error number with no success.  What I have was pieced together and modified from 2 scripts I found. I'm challenging myself with not too much success but If I don't to ask, I don't learn. Can you anyone guide me to a solution?

In your example your first returned value is 1 which is a number, so when it get's down to 'A' it is trying to implicitly convert that string to a number and failing. You should only deal with one datatype so in this case you would be best to surround all your returned numbers (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9) with single quotes.

  • TO_CHAR to convert date getting 'Invalid number' error

    I am trying to convert a static date value using TO_CHAR function but I can't believe I am not able to do it such a simple conversion.
    //Obviously this is easy and everyone would like to give this as an example and this is what I see everwhere on Google and it works.

    How can I make it work like this?

    I keep getting "Invalid number" error. I changed my constant date to different formats but none works.

    Your first literal is not a date, assuming you didn't set NLS_DATE_FORMAT.
    So the code should have been
    SELECT TO_CHAR(to_date('2010-JUN-23','YYYY-MON-DD'), 'YYYY-MM-DD') FROM DUAL;
    Please note DATEs are always converted to VARCHAR2 when you SELECT them, using NLS_DATE_FORMAT.
    When you use a DATE string literal it ias always implicitly converted to a real date, by using NLS_DATE_FORMAT.
    So if you want all your dates formatted as YYYY-MON-DD, you need to set NLS_DATE_FORMAT to that mask.

  • Try: Assign The Error Number To A Variable

    I know there must be a way to do this, but I can't find it.
    In the 'On Error' part of a Try, is there a way to set the error number to a variable?
    So, I'd like it to look something like this:

    Oracle OracleAS Web Cache 10.1.2.3.0, Build 10.1.2.3.0 080201 is writing events like this:
    [alert 13215] I/O Error when writing access Log buffer to file. error number: 28
    I've looked for this alert and i've found this description:
    WXE-13215 I/O Error when writing access Log buffer to file. error number: %d
    Severity: alert
    Cause: I/O error happened when OracleAS Web Cache tried to write to the access log file.
    Action: Check the status of access log file. For example, see if the disk is full
    Anybody knows what "error number: 28" stands for? The logs are sended to other server and it seems that the disk size is ok.

    I tested again...it seems LabVIEW doesn't like the way I wrote the measurement files. I attached a set of VIs (ZIP-file) to give you a clue how it was done. When I try to save and read a file containing just plain DBLs from a 1D-Array (see attached file generating VI) it works perfectly well for large file sizes.
    So there might get something messed up by the way LabVIEW saved the measured data. You'll notice, that I (accidentally) left the "prepend array string size" input of "write to binary file" function unwired which means that the size information will be written as a type of header. Maybe this is the reason that it doesn't work as expected...
