Error obtained when launching executable jar in Mac - Jar works in Windows
Hi,
I have a problem using my executable jar in mac. When I run the application(executable jar) from Windows OS, it works perfectly.
But when I try to launch the application from Mac, I get the following error
apples-imac:CreateJar apple$ java -jar TreeTable.jar
Unable to load sqlite: java.lang.
UnsatisfiedLinkError: no sqlite_jni in java.library.path
I use the db sqlite.jar
I had the same error when I executed the application in Windows
E:\Personal\1>java -jar TreeTable.jar
Unable to load sqlite: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no sqlite_jni in java.library.path
But, when I used sqlite_jni.dll, it solved the problem.
Can you kindly help me by saying what need to be done, so that this error does not come anymore in mac.
Any help in this regard will be well appreciated with dukes.

Install sqlite correctly on the Mac. It is looking for sqlite_jni.so on the java.library.path and not finding it.

I just unistalled PS C3 through 6 on my computer leaving only PS CC for use going forward. Having done this I now get this error message when launching PS CC: "One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing. Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop." The thing is PS CC still appears to be working okay once that error message is cleared. How can I get rid of that error message? I can't reinstall using the CC Updater because it still sees PS CC on the system thus it won't install another copy. I'd just as soon not uninstall it and I'm not sure that would fix the issue anyway.

You can uninstall PS CC through the Control Panel in windows/Utilities in MAC & the reinstall PS CC.

AAMEE 3.1.105.0 generated packages run fine when pushed to Macs that do not have an existing previous version of CS.
However, if pushed to a Mac that has CS4 installed, CS6 installs but Acrobat Pro X will not launch ("Internal error occurred").
We are using the latest Adobe CS6 Design & Web Premium installer DMGs from licensing.adobe.com and we are following the standard workflow.
I know Adobe's position is "We don't recommend or support concurrent installs of Creative Suite" (I get that).
Since OS X lacks package management (ala Yum, RPM, etc.), the term "Uninstall" is vague, but we appreciate Adobe's "cleaner tool".
Unfortunately the "cleaner tool" is only marginally effective, it leaves a mess behind.
And...when "cleaner tool" is used to remove CS4, it whacks CS6.
Wait...it gets worse...when "cleaner tool" is used, we now can't push our CS6 package to the Mac...we get...<drumroll>..."Internal error occurred" when launching Acrobat Pro X.
Someone shoot me...please put me out of my misery.

DonOK, we resolved the issue. Apparently there was a ~/Library/ColorSync folder present, not owned by the logged in user, and the logged in user had no access. Given OS X's domain model, it looks like Acrobat Pro X looks at that folder when it launches, even though it doesn't need to, and it can't get into it, so it tosses up the error.
Removing the folder (since it's not needed) resolves the issue. If the folder was needed, we would change ownership and permissions so Acrobat Pro X could access it.
Problem solved.

General Error Message When Installing Flash Player on Mac
I have a new MacBook Pro. I have OS 10.8.2. I cannot get FlashPlayer to download. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Flash Player 11 from the Adobe website. Doesn't work. Every time I try to download, I get an error message that says "Error: General Installation Error" Can someone PLEASE help? I've spent hours with this and am very frustrated.

Ok I keep getting the error 16 when launching Photoshop elements 12, 1) It says to re-install (did that and did not work twice), there is also the Cache.db unlock (did that - not a solution either)... I need more information on what the problem could be ?

Getting application path when launching a Jar
Hi,

how do you get the application path when launching a jar file?
NNiolUnless you mean the standard application folder. That application path is an OS specific concept. On Windows systems, for example, you can get the application path by using System.getenv("ProgramFiles"); but that won't work on other systems.
If you're looking for a constant location to store data files, you'd do better to create an application-specific directory under System.getProperty("user.home");.
And if you're just looking for the place where your jar file is, you can successfully follow the previously given advice.

Solution on this?Sounds like OSX has lost track of where it is. Try a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.
If that doesn't help, try repairing your backups, per #A5 there. -

Because the .desktop file is part of the upstream source, it's always created as part of the build procedure.
I did not mean "what is the direct cause of the icon". I meant "why did the maintainers choose to include the icon when there is no GUI application to link it to" (see below).
I don't see why there is an issue with these optional dependencies at all, the deluge wiki page is perfectly clear on the subject.
The issue is that a broken `.desktop` file is being added. The fact of the matter is that if both Deluge and some window manager have been installed, `pygtk` should become a mandatory dependency. Unfortunately, pacman is not capable of that kind of reasoning.
See an earlier post of mine for some more general problems I have with the pacman dependency system.

I keep getting error 205 when downloading CC on a 2nd computer. PC, Windows 7. We had turned off anti-virus and ran cleaner. Any suggestions of how else to do it? I have creative cloud installed on another computer, but do not see the .exe file on it so I can't copy and move it.

I recently upgraded to iCloud 3.0 on home computer and now i get error messages when I open Outlook 2010. It worked fine before with iCloud 2.1.2. Any solutions? I'm on Windows 7, Outlook 2010.

I get the following error message when trying to download ITunes on my computer running Windows XP - Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple Application Support\CFNetwork.dll
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

when i finally connected my mac to work network on windows environment everything related to apple including App store, Safari, software updates, iCloud and iTunes do not work using a proxy server and everything else is working very well including chrome browser…i tried everything but no clue...anybody have solution for this..???
I also forgot to note that this problem also persists with the new iBooks application. I cannot get past the 'Get Started' screen or access the iBooks Store. Again, all top bar menus are unresponsive.
