after the execution of the query on a multiprovider, i select a filter value for a particular characteristic then i get a pop up error message "Error reading the data of infoprovider ZTC_SUV12"

I am running a sales report n its executing fine...I mean...the report is getting displayed properly..but when i am trying to select a filter value...for example...trying to select a sold to party....when i selct that particular sold to party and execute the query...its coming up with an error...pls check..

It depends on the ssytem settings. The problem with your query is that it is not able to fetch all the data due to lack of memory. However, when you are giving smaller range, you are getting the output. You can either ask the basis guy to increase the memory space or try running the query by giving smaller date range.

List workflow Error Occurred when more than 10 fired at the same time?

SPF 2010
I have created a list workflow that simply
copies the value from Columns A, B, C to D, E, F respectively
then it compares that D, E, F match A, B, C
if TRUE, then NUL A, B, C
then if confirms A, B, C "is empty"
if TRUE, then complete the workflow
There are some other logging and email notifications if there are any issues during the process.
Now when I run this on a single item it runs fine. I then try running on less than 10 items, again it runs fine. Then I try 22 and the all get Error Occurred which seems to be happening right at/after a 1min pause action. I also noticed on the server one
of the CPU is at 100% and the Application log reports a "Deadlock victim" (See below).
Unknown SQL Exception 1205 occurred. Additional error information from SQL Server is included below.
Transaction (Process ID 96) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.
The server had 6 GB of RAM so I tried doubling it to 12GB (only 100 staff) and SP not that heavily used at this point.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

The Pause 1min would fall between steps 1, 2. (Revised below)

The pause was added because I noticed that if A,B,C are NUL and the validation step (3) is ran instantly then the compare would report that columns D,E,F where not done updating and the validation would fail.
NOTE: in my testing this only occurred if A,B,C were NUL, if populated the validation step (3) was always correct.
I tested this with logging immediately after the copy step (1) and the logging shows the original values for D,E,F. Is there delay on the actual update, seems ridiculous that the actions are performed in order but yet the "Update" action is not actually
done when the workflow moves on to the next action. (I have created separate Steps in SPD to separate these actions as well).
Any thoughts on that as well?

Authorization check for Selection of Filter Values for Query Definition

I am looking for a solution to the following problem:
Assuming you have confidential master data in your development system.
How can I protect a query developer to see only master data values, that he is allowed to see when e.g. creating a restricted key figure.
I know that you can enable a setting in the "Business Explorer" tab that says "Query Def. Filter Value Selection". The help says:
This field describes how the selection of filter values and the restriction of characteristics function when you define queries.
The values from the master data table are normally displayed when you restrict characteristics. For characteristics without a master data table, the values from the SID table are displayed instead. In a number of cases, however, it could be better to display only the values that are in the InfoProvider. The setting "InfoProvider Values Only" is permitted for this reason.
This would almost do it, but it can be overwritten in the BEx Query Designer.
Is there a way of preventing Query Developers from seeing all InfoObject values when creating restricted key figures?

Thanks for the points. I am not too sure how you guys go about implementing SAP. Sorry I am not trying to be rude but you're not suppose to see any "real" data in DEV where all development takes place. You can't prevent query developers to see data. Without data there is no way they know their queries are right or wrong. Ask ECC guys to load dummy data to DEV environment that closely resemble those data currently in legacy e.g. real data. Sorry it was my mistake at the beginning when i thought it was preventing specific end users to see data that are not belong to them.

Error occured during selection for the DS 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 in RSA3.

I have transported the DS - 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 i from Dev. to QA system and in RSA3 it throwing an error message saying that 'error occured during selection'.
I have checked the respective tables of this datasources all the records are there and also check the table SMOXHEAD_S and the table is not having this datasource.
Any idea why the error is coming and is this because of the table SMOXHEAD_S empty for this datasource.
OR
Shall i activate this DS using RSA5 tcode in the development system and then create a new request and tranport the request to QA system?...Shall we do this in the development system?.

Hi Vachan
The entry in SMOXHEAD_S for your datasource must match the entry in SMOXHEAD exactly.   Check in your dev box to be sure - the entry is there but it is missing in QA.
I wrote this program which copies the entry from SMOXHEAD to SMOXHEAD_S.
Run the program at your own risk your CRM QA box. If the entry is there already then it will do nothing.

When I switch repeatedly between Library and Develop with the R and E keys, I always sooner or later run into a problem where nothing happens when I press R. Really that should go the Develop module and enter crop mode -- what I'm usually trying to do, when this happens, is crop a bunch of photos. So I'll be using Library mode to identify the photos that need cropping, stepping through photos with the arrow keys, then when I find one that I want to crop, I press R, enter develop+crop mode, crop the photo, press E to return to library+loupe view, and continue.
Sometimes this works 10 times, sometimes it only works twice, but always, relatively soon, when I press R, "nothing" will happen. Actually what's happening is an error dialog appears saying "an error occurred when trying to change modules", then the error dialog immediately disappears before I can read it. I know what it says, because if I click the Develop module with the mouse, I get the same message but it sticks around until I press OK.
Once this happens, I'm entirely unable to use the Develop module until I quit the program. I had to quit and restart LR about 20 times during an hour of working with it last night, and this morning, in the first 15 minutes, I'm already on the 3rd restart.
Anyone else see this?
Details: LR 1.1 on Mac OS 10.4.10, 4-core Mac Pro, images are a mix of JPG from a pocket camera and NEF from a Nikon D40. I don't think it is related to the specific images, as it strikes apparently at random, and after exit and restart, I can crop that same photo, but a different one will eventually cause the same problem again.

Sean, thanks for the Return key tip. I knew about that at one point, but lately I was trying to use Enter (the one on the numeric keypad, at the very lower right corner of the keyboard, which is really easy to hit with my thumb even when my hand is on the mouse! And Enter doesn't invoke the crop, so I forgot that Return did). That is a better way.
I don't see the RE problem on my MacBook, only on my desktop computer, and that one is also experiencing other flakiness (
metamatt, "missing text / thumbnails / many Lightroom UI elements disappeared" #, 18 Aug 2007 3:08 pm) so I think I'm going to try a complete reinstall there.

Thanks to both of you for attempting to help. I finally figured out what was wrong . . . it was a Permissions problem. Very frustrating, but after scouring the troubleshooting tips I finally found the one that solved my problem. I had to add a User and give it Read/Write privileges to Lightroom. The file I had to add the User to was Hidden on my Mac, so that added an even bigger challenge to the mystery. Only a few days left on my trial version! I hope I have time to try it out!

Hi,
First of all: when you should use concatenation operator (||) instead of plus sign when working with strings. So, instead of
:CF_CREDIT:= :D_CARRY_F_CR+:D_HD_SUM_REP_CR; you should use
:CF_CREDIT:= :D_CARRY_F_CR||:D_HD_SUM_REP_CR; If :D_CARRY_F_CR and :D_HD_SUM_REP_CR are both numbers then consider to use to_char function before you assign value to :CF_CREDIT.
I wonder, why your CF's returns varchar's if they operates on numbers?

Hello everyone,
When I tried to create a materialized view with refresh fast mode, I encountered following error message.
The MV log has been created on my_table like this:
create materialized view log on my_table
tablespace data3
with rowid, sequence
including new values;
The database link has been created like this:
CREATE PUBLIC DATABASE LINK my_db
CONNECT TO myname
IDENTIFIED BY mypassword
USING 'my_db';
Could anybody please let me know why I can not create MV with refresh fast? What I did wrong?

No, you cannot apply a patch to XE. Basically the XE internal code is the same as for any other edition. That means is there a bug, you have it in XE,too. To get patches you need a licence for metalink/My Oracle Support. But even you would have one, it wouldn't help you, because Oracle does not provide patches for XE.
That's the 'price' you have to pay for this free edition.
