Error on creating the PDF file in 'Manage Impersonalized Forms'

Hi
Once i have created and uploaded the XDP file so that it appears within the 'Manage Impersonalized Froms' area, when i click create button to create the PDF download file i see the error . . .
Cannot retrieve template structure: Error creating PDF
Is this a configuration issue because i can't find a reason why i get the error.

Just installed Acrobat 9 Standard on new HP Touchsmart running Vista 64 bit - tried to create a pdf from a *.pub, and got the error message above, and "please correct the error and try again". If I knew what the error was, I'd try to correct it.

If you check the PDF file with ctrl-D and select the font tab, you will likely find that the font you mention is not embedded. The font not being embedded will make major differences in terms of what fonts Acrobat or Reader finds to do a substitution. Also, the fonts may not display correctly if you have the Use Local Fonts check box selected incorrectly (just try changing that choice).
Fonts can be a major issue in terms of licensing for embedding and such. Also, different job.settings file selections may cause fonts to not be properly embedded.
Since the printer works, the issue of the other packages is the need for PDF Maker to be active in those applications that you are trying to import files from. To check PDF Maker, you need to test it in those applications, not in Acrobat. Trying things in Acrobat is the last step, not the first step. In WORD, there is a need for certain settings to be properly set to allow PDF Maker to work. These may be the issues you are having. So, go back to the applications of interst and be sure that PDF Maker works from the application -- this is the create PDF button.

Unix script error while mail the pdf file.

When i execute this query it will make the pdf file in the output folder as well as in the tmp folder as a text file. but after that it will give me error in the log file as follows.:

Can you try the script removing local while declaring the tmp variable ?

This is all i am doing.
It is sending a mail with the attachment but we are not able to open the attachment. it's giving an error like file is damaged and couldn't be repaired.
I serched in the forum but i couldn't get the answer.
I suspect there is a problem in getting the OTF data..

WebInterface Server - Error while opening the PDF file

Hello,
We are using webinterface to display the MSDS genearated.
Our customers use the link provided to them for displaying the msds.
We imported a few MSDS ( CG36 ), which are in PDF format & displayed successfully on the webinterface server.
However the newly generated MSDS ( Create Report ) from SAP EH&S system are not getting displayed on the webinterface server. We are getting following error message:
Error reading resulitng document from filesystem. Class:
COM.td.ehswww.results.EhsDocument.
Method:getResolvedDocument().This error could have been caused by a misconfigured filter.ini.
We checked and found that the filter.ini file is same on both quality & production system.
We are able to generate & display the report successfully on quality webinterface server.
Problem only appears on the production webinterface server.
We also tried to search for the SAP notes on this issue.
But we could not find out any relevant note for our issue.
Any help in this regarding is highly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your help.
We checked on both quality & production webinterface server.
The Tomcat service is not executed with any specific user.
The system is working fine on quality , we are getting errors only on the production.
We also identified a strange behavior on the production web interface server.
We are able to see files under following menu path:
There are error files getting generated.
I guess these error files are getting generated while converting the rtf file to pdf file.
The resultant PDF file is not getting generated and hence system is giving the error on the webpage.
Can you guide us as to why these error files are getting generated .? What can be the root cause of this issue.? and How to prevent this.?

Adobe PDF Printer failed to create the PDF file in Acrobat Pro X

Trying to convert single and multiple page files (PPT, XLS etc) to PDF documents... get about half way through the process when it all seizes up and the error message in the header appears.
Any ideas about how to fix this?

      You may not having the permissions to create files in 'C' folder. Change the path and try again.

Error in Viewing the PDF File in Enterprise Portal

Dear All,
I have uploaded a PDF Document of around 30 pages in KM and made an iview to view that document but when i click on the iview the document is not opening properly and after sometime the Portal/system is getting hanged.But when i open the pdf document with less number of pages there is not problem.
I am using EP 7.0 and Adobe Reader 8.1.
Any help or suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I have created an Custom Adobe Form and calling this form through a Custom Program and generating the PDF and could able to download on to my desktop but when i am tyring to open it i m facing the below Error.
"There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired" .

Error opening the PDF file while sending the PDF as an attachment

Hi All,
I am sending a PDF as an attachment in the mail. I am using the code pasted on 'Jul 28, 2006 8:59 AM' subject OTF Format of Purchase Order in email unreadable.
My problem is when I open the attachment in SOST or in the mail, I get the error message "Adobe could not open *.PDF because it is either not a supported file type or because the file type has been corrupted."
Please let me know if anybody has faced such an issue.

Here a spool output is converted into PDF and then sent as an email.
I think instead of using FM to change the width, try the logic mentioned in the link.
Also instead of FM CONVERT_TO_OTF use :
1. CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF
I hope this should solve the problem.
I had referred the same program from the link and it worked absolutely fine. Also check the adobe acrobat version, i guess old version doesnt support SAP, though not very sure.

Automatically Tagged the PDF files Created from Templates

I have some PDF templates which have texts, fields, table, or lines in it. They are made accessible by tagging manually and creating special reading order when press tab through the pages.
After run a program which uses Adobe FdfApp and FdfDoc object to add data in the fields of the templates and save as an fdf file, then use CAcroAVDoc / CAcroPDDoc object convert fdf file to a PDF file. This PDF file will keep special reading order when press tab through the pages, but no Tag. (Tagged PDF: is No).
Is there a way can keep the tag of PDF templates, after run FdfApp? If not, how automatically to create the PDF file tag or import tag from its template?

Error in creating a PDF in Lightroom 4. Why?

I am using Lightroom 4. When I export my book that has been created with Lightroom, I always get this message. "An error occurred while saving the book. There was an error creating the PDF file."
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom, but the problem remains. If you have any suggestions in fixing this problem, I would love to hear from you. Thanks!

I have had that error also, but only when the previous export is open in the PDF reader. For example if I create a book export it, open it to look at it, then go back and do some changes and re-export to the same file I get the same error you describe.
Probbly a OS conflict as the PDF is still open therefore it cannot overwrite it.

Image Policy when I create a PDF file: warn and continue doesn't work

Hi!
I need to create a PDF file with lots of images, and I need to know if any of that images is in low resolution (<300 ppi). I have tried to use the image policy in the PDF settings but it doesn't work, because if I choose "Warn and continue" (if the resolution of any image is <300 ppi, warn and continue) the program creates the PDF file but don't warm me and I don't see any message... and I'm sure that there are bad images because I have made a check test with 72ppi images.
