Error on windows phone 8.1 application

I'm using visual studio 2013 ,and developed an application on windows phone 8.1 ,as a Reminder or Alarm , But i have one error that occurs which is :
Error 1 Cannot find type System.Windows.Controls.Control in module System.Windows.dll
Any Ideas ?

Most probably device token is the push channel url which is returned by MPNS when a request is made to it.

How to print a grid from windows phone 8.1 application

Hello ,
I want to print a grid from a windows phone application.
For tablet I can print using this namespace:
using Windows.Graphics.Printing;
using Windows.UI.Xaml.Printing;
But they are only for Tablet.
Please suggest a solution of printing from windows 8.1 phone application.

Linkedin integration error in windows phone

Hi, I just integrated the linkedin url in my windows phone app. I'm able to connect to linkedin properly for the first time but when I try to connect it again I'm getting the following error "The partner did not properly implement the authentication

Getting out of memory exception while loading images in web browser control one by one in windows phone 8 silverlight application?

Hi,
I am developing a windows phone 8 silver light application .
In my app I am displaying images in web browser control one by one , those images are the web links , the problem is after displaying 2 to 3 images I am getting out of memory exception .
I searched for this exception how to over come , everybody are saying memory profiling ,..etc but really I dont know how to release the memory and how to clear the memory .
In some sites they are adding this

From your error message looks like it is a VS designer issue, I would recommend you do the same as Ken suggested, besides keep your windows update and reboot the device machine should help.
Another possibility is maybe you update with Silverlight 5.0, as I can see from a old post:

Windows Phone 8 Silverlight application performace issue.

Hi Everybody,
We are developing an application which is having 100 pages (Chat Application), in this application we can send images,audio,video,contact,location everything by attachments. Application is running perfectly but if we use application for one hour by sending
all attachments and doing some navigation's like one to another page, application becoming slow down and crashing. I have observed major issue with memory but I could not able to resolve this issue. I want to clear all memory consuming by pages, and how can
I make this application perfect and fast.

As long as pages are kept on the BackStack they won't be reclaimed by the Garbage Collector. So you either have to structure your navigation in such a way that the user's navigation doesn't result in an ever longer BackStack.
E.g. if I navigate forwards from Page A to Page B and then Page C I should not provide a button to jump to Page A but rather have the user do back navigation which will remove the other pages from the back stack. Alternatively you could clear the Back Stack
whenever the user visits the start page of your App.
Another common issue that is keeping pages alive even when they are no longer on the back stack is that they have registered to static events or to events on objects that are kept alive (e.g. Singletons or something like that). In that case the event still
is a reference to the page and that in turn keeps it from being collected by the GC. To fix this you should unregister those events when navigating away from a page.
Hope these hints help you in fixing your memory consumption problem.

Windows Phone 8.1 "Can't Install Company App" Error

I'm using VS2013 Update4 to build a Windows Phone 8.1 application. I can deploy the app from Visual Studio with no problem. My developer phone is unlocked. My company
has a certificate from Symantec. I have the pfx file. We don’t want to use the Windows store.
I am simply trying to test that the appx file can be installed (sideloaded?).
I've followed the Microsoft guidelines to optimize and sign the appx file. I've created an aetx file from the pfx. I put the aetx file and the appx file on the phone. I tap the aetx file and it says : "Add
workplace account?” Would you like to add the workplace account for the xxx Company?"
I click add and nothing really happens (I'm not sure what should happen). Then I tap the appx file and it says : "can’t install company app".
Any suggestions? Thanks!

This appears to be a signing issue of some sort. Our Symantec certificate is registered to the company name, which is 4 words with spaces in between the words. If I understand correctly, the Identity in the appxmanifest must match this
name on the certificate.
However, according to msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/br211441.aspx
the identity must be
A string between 3 and 50 characters in length that consists of alpha-numeric, period, and dash characters.
Does anyone else have a space in their company name? How do you fix this? Thanks!

Toast is not redirecting to specific page when phone is locked in windows phone 8 application

I subscribed to toast notifications to my windows phone 8 chat application..
It is redirecting to specific page when i minimize the app and close the app.
But in following scenario it is not redirecting..
I opened app and then i locked the phone.
I got notification then i clicked on toast.
It is not redirecting to that page i specified.
When i look into rootframe_navigating event in app.xaml.cs, i found that the notification uri is not coming when we lock the phone when app is opened.
I hope you understand the scenario.
Is that bug or should i do anything for redirecting when phone is locked also?

Inking for Windows Phone 8.1 (Not Silverlight)

Is there any way to use Inking for Windows phone 8.1 application. I am able to use it in Silverlight application for freehand drawing.
But is there anything available to use for this purpose in WinRT?

Windows phone emulator not working with windows 10 technical preview 9926

I recently updated my computer to technical preview 9926 and now when I launch the windows phone emulator in 2013 visual studio for windows. It says "Starting windows phone OS" for like 10 minutes. Then it gives me an error message:
windows phone emulator is unable to connect to the windows phone operating system: The phone did not respond to the connect request. Some functionality might be disabled. And then it will boot up for a little and the home search and back
button wont work and it will never deploy my app then it will crash and bring me back to visual studio. My hyper v is turned on I have checked all the network switches. The emulator used to work with the technical preview but ever since the newest update
it stopped working.
Any help would be appreciated.

Disable slider value change on tap Windows Phone 8 8.1

I'm working on a windows phone 8.1 application with some sliders for various settings.
I would like to know if it is possible to only allow a user to drag the slider to change it's value. I do not want
the value of the slider to change when the user taps an area away from the slider thumb (eg jump to the tapped point).
I have tried to set IsTapEnabled to false, and I have poured through the slider xaml documentation.
I still cant seem to disable 'tap change value' of the slider. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Error while loading image from Windows Phone gallery into my Unity application

Hi,
I have developped a Windows Phone plugin for my Unity application which enable me to open the Windows Phone gallery in order to select an image and get its physic path.
I've used this path to load the image in the application with a WWW object but I get this error
"Error. Operation has failed with error 0x80070005: access is denied."
The path is correct because I display it and I've ticked the ID_CAP_MEDIALIB_PHOTO in the WMAppManifest.xml (Capabilities tab).
Here is my Unity C# test code to load the image with the path.

The error is correct. Your app doesn't have direct access to that path. It can directly load files only from its app data and install directories.
To load from the libraries I it needs to use the StorageFile to get brokered access.
The easiest way may be to copy from the library to local data then use WWW to load that. Otherwise you'll probably need to wrap the StorageFile can for use in unity. Unity has such a wrapper in the Unity Engine.WSA namespace that you can try

I get exactly the same error on Windows 8.1 Enterprise. After installing Windows Phone Emulator via MobileTools_EmulatorWP81GDR1. I did repair of "Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 SDK and Emulators - ENU" but the error persists.
Any news regarding solution to this issue?
