Error opening Oracle Form 5.0

Hi,
When I open one of the FMB file, I got the following error and then not able to open the FMB form up.
1. FRM-91010: Module_Access parameter must be FILE or DATABASE
2. usage: f50des32 module=<name> userid=<userid/password>[parameter]
3. optional parameter are (default values given)
4. Module_Type=FORM module type(FORM, MENU, LIBRARY)
May I know how to resolve this problem?
Thanks,
Peggy

I've never seen this error, but the message seems to indicate that the module or form f50des32 has some database logon parameter that is invalid:
userid=<userid/password>[parameter]
Try opening the form using Form Builder 5, and look for a database logon.

    I installed 9IAS portal and the forms/reports server. The portal works fine, but when I try the 'Run Form Web ( runform.htm)' I get an error "Error opening Oracle*Terminal file fmrweb." The file does exist in my c:\oracle\806\forms60 directory and my FORMS60_PATH is set to c:\oracle\806\forms60 as well. Anybody having ( had ) similar problems? Note: 8.1.7, portal, and formsserver installed on the same Win 2000 machine. No Oracle apps. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Christian,
    It's probably working because you're now using fmrweb.res instead of the foobar fmrwebdk.res. Just look out for that missing quotation mark :)

    Can you reproduce the issue from a different browser?
    Can you provide a screenshot of the error message?
    Can you find any errors in the database/application log files?
    Have you tried to bounce the services and see if this helps? Also, run AutoConfig and make sure it returns no errors.

  • Error opening the form in Reader 7

    I have designed a form in LiveCycle designer 8. The form has a regular Submit button which posts data a URL (a java servlet) using HTTP URL encoded.
    The form opens and works as expected in versions 8 and 9. However, when I open the form in 7, I get the following error:
    Invalid enumerated value: urlencoded.
    The fault occurred on line 105111.
    I changed the button to HTTP Submit Button, and it started working fine in Reader 7. Just wondering if there is anything else I need to take care of here.

    Hi Vincent,
    Thanks a lot. it works now.

    Thanks in advance for any help!

    Of course you found another one. Each .and every Oracle database client home (such as developer, app server) has one.
    Don't just change the port - the tnsnames.ora in the dev home does not point to a database service. It only points to an extproc [external procedure called by a database]. You need to put a database service entry into that file similar to the one in the database home. (Easiest solution - copy the tnsnames.ora from db home ... after you've made a backup)
    And please don't tell me you are using Developer 6i - a simple Google search would verify that the networking is incompatible.

  • Open Oracle Form in client side from BPEL Process

    Hello,
    I'm new in BPEL and I'm trying to do a Process who open a Form before it finish. I do that with a Java embedding with the next code:
    try {
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("rundll32.exe url.dll,FileProtocolHandler http://dl380:8890/forms/frmservlet?config=atender&otherparams=CLIENTE="+variable );
    } catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    But this code open a form in the server side and I need that it be open in the client side. Someone know what's can I do?
    I hope you help me in this!
    Thanks in advance!
    Alejandra

    Hi Sreedhar,
    Probably there are simpler options, but one thing you can do is to create a new function in Oracle to access the same form (Service Contracts Authoring), and include this in the Form Parameters:
    QUERY_ONLY="YES"
    That will make the function read only (in theory). Now you can call that function from the OAF Page instead of OKS_OKSAUDET.
    Hope it helps.

  • Open Oracle Forms app from APEX

    How can I open an Oracle Forms application from within APEX?
    Right now, the Forms app is accessed simply through a Bookmarked hyperlink, so it seems to me I should be able to open a browser window and send it the same url from within APEX. Can someone provide all the details please? Thank You.

    I don't know about Oracle Forms specifically... but you should be able to put a link to any arbitrary URL within your Apex application, and have the browser access that URL.
    For instance, you can create a button and set that URL as the button's location, or create a Display-Only item with a default value set to a block of HTML including an &lt;a href&gt; tag.

  • Error opening new form via Call_form

    I wrote a forms that captures error code from the calling forms and shows message_text, cause and action for that error.
    When calling form causes a ORA-00054 error (lock record), I cannot call the form that displays because focus is not passed to called form.
    What can I do? I need to call this form to show message_text, cause and action.

    Hi Archana,
    There are many ways to pass values between forms.
    1. You define a global variable before issuing a call/open/new form and use the value in the called/opened form.
    2. Create a database package spec and define variables there. Use them to set values and read from other forms.
    3. Create a parameter list and pass the list to the call/open/new form built-in and read from there.
    If you explain your usecase more, we can suggest you a good way to implement it.

    The key phrase here is
    I am try to use Oracle Directory file sitting on a Windows Server.
    Is Windows interoperable with Linux? Does Linux understand UNC?
    Don't think so and don't think so.
    Are you using Samba on the Windows Server and did you NFS mount that directory on the Linux server.
    If you didn't it is not going to work. Apart from that: Windows can deal with forward slashes so that is not the problem.
