Error printing from PowerPoint to Adobe Acrobat

I'm having problems printing from PowerPoint 2007 to Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional. I am geting the error message "Adobe PDF creation cannot be continue because Acrobat is not activated. Acrobat has been activated long ago, and I have created Acrobat files before now with PowerPoint, as well as other programs, but now this is happening.
Could you help?

It appears that it might have been some corruption due to having my computer on for the last couple of days. I shut down, let my computer sit for some time, then rebooted. The error has disapeared. I still am curious as to what happened.
Thanks everyone.

  • Docs from Google Chrome (Adobe Acrobat DC) Stuck in Print Queue

Using HP Print & Scan Dr I have cleared up my queue so I can print from my MS Office docs.  However, when trying to print a doc from my banking site using Google Chrome as the browser, the print options come up in Adobe but only go to the queue without printing.  I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe to see if that would free up the queue...no luck.  HP's Dr allows me to print from other docs including email from MS Outlook.  Suggestions? I did go to 2 other websites and was able to print from both in Adobe.  I wonder if it's something with my bank's site?

Hey , Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're experiencing issues when printing from an online banking site using Google Chrome on your computer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this printing issue. However, in order for me to provide you with accurate support today I do need to clarify a few things.   (1) What Operating System are you using on your computer?   (2) What HP printer do you have?   (3) Are you able to print from the online banking website using a different internet browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox)?   Once I have the answers to my questions above, I will be more then happy the guide you to a solution. I look forward to hearing from you!

  • Problem with printing from Powerpoint 2007

Am printing to pdf from Powerpoint 2007 (using Acrobat 8.1.4), using the Print>Select Printer>Adobe PDF route, but the pdfs that are being created look terrible (distorted, washed out colours, etc) and print even worse. Is there an incompatibility problem, or has a setting gone awry? Thanks in advance.

It may vary. I have seen some strange results from OFFICE 2007, where there apparently are some hooks built into the MS software. You might try with OFFICE 2003 or OpenOffice. I have used OFFICE 2003 for some things and gotten excellent results, where OFFICE 2007 created issues. I know that it is OFFICE 2007 since I also played with different versions of Acrobat for Office 2007 and got the same strange results, where things were fine with OFFICE 2003. There may be an issue with the
I just created a new PDF from PPT 2007 and the results were looking fine. For folks to be able to comment more effectively, they need to be able to duplicate what you did and I am not sure that can be done with the information you have provided. Specifically, what job settings file did you use in the Adobe PDF printer, etc.

  • Keep getting an access denied window when trying to print to PDF with Adobe Acrobat X with any prgram/internet except for adobe programs

I am trying to print to PDF from Word, Revit, Firefox and all have given me a Access Denied window popup and would cancel the print.  I have Adobe Acrobat X and Creative Design Suite 6.

So you are trying to print to the Adobe PDF printer? What is the full statement of the error (typically it indicates a folder or such does not allow access)? If you open Distiller, are there settings files available that you can view?
In the print menu, select print to file. Then open this file in Distiller. What happens with these two steps and do you get a PDF after the second step?

  • Printing Problems with PDF - Adobe Acrobat

    Printer - HP Deskjet 3070A

Issue: Printing problems with PDF (Adobe Acrobat Reader)
    Dear All,
    Please help!
My printer was working absolutely perfectly until my brother in law recently needed to borrow my printer. He plugged in his laptop running Windows 8 (awful thing that is). Since he did this to print his own PDF, I cannot print mine.
Although all the text will appear on the page perfectly both in the document view and on actual printing, it appears that some of the transparent formatting stuff on a PDF - such as boxes you have to fill in and transparent areas (such as you find on glorious tax forms) are omitted completely. In fact, in their place I was getting a single black dot. Now, after uninstalling and re-installing updates for the printer, windows 7, adobe acrobat reader, etc.etc. I get squat. Just all the text laid out but none of the shading or boxes.
I have tried fiddling with the printer settings; the  print as 'photo' option, dpi settings, greyscale - as much as I can think of and I am thoroughly stumped.
In a desperate attempt, I even installed the Universal Printer Drivers - thinking it might have been that. No. All I got was a page of gobbledygook. Consequently, I uninstalled and reinstalled the normal drivers again.
If there are any wonderful people out there with any fabulous ideas about how I can get my shading and boxes back; I'd  very much appreciate it. Sadly I have a tax return to fill out (which is already fabulously late) and need my printer to work!
    Much appreciation in advance x

    Hey there @Reverie!
Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!
I can see that the printer is no longer printing in the correct format after it was plugged into the Windows 8 computer!  You mentioned you have run the updates and uninstalled/re-installed the printer software.  Have you uninstalled and re-installed the Adobe software? Are you getting the same issue from other programs as well? Are you getting the same issues if you are logged in as a different user on the computer?
I have located the HP Update Software Utility that may be able to help.  You can download an run the utility.  It may be able to locate any other updates for the printer.
I would also recommend running a disk cleanup on the computer to clear any temporary files and junk files that may be causing some performance or software issues. If you do not know how to run a disk cleanup on the computer please follow this document regarding Delete files using Disk Cleanup.  It is recommended to restart the computer after a disk cleanup. After the restart try the print job again!
Let me know if that helped and thanks again for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Issue printing from PowerPoint

I am having an issue when I print from Powerpoint to PDF Printer.
I have Helvetica fonts. I embeded the fonts.
The text that is using the Helevetica fonts is sometimes completely gone (especially when I am using bullet form) and sometimes part of the word is gone.
    Can anyone help?

This really isn't a Typography Question as much as an Acrobat Question (assuming you are using Acrobat). In some versions of the Windows OS there is a bug printing to postscript printers (which the Acrobat PDF Virtual Printer is) that causes the issue you mention. There is a hotfix from Microsoft to fix this problem:
    http://support.microsoft.com/?id=952909
However, if you are seeing this under Windows 7 then something else is going on. I'd suggest you repost in the Acrobat forum if the hotfix is not appropriate for you. When you repost please add details (OS?, version of Acrobat? version of Powerpoint? If Helvetica is TT or PS and vendor.

none of the commnets or other type of annotations on this page are contained in the structure tree, getting this error on full check of adobe acrobat PDF

You can find and tag the unmarked annotations using the Tags pane - click the down arrow next to
the Options icon (near the top left of the pane), then Find > Unmarked Annotations. You will be given the option to tag the annotations - usually they are hyperlinks in which case use the link tag. Then you will need to create the proper tag stucture. Lots of information about that via google, for example the Adobe Acrobat X Professional: PDF Accessibility (Section 508 Tagging) Reference Guide (http://webtools.ca.gov/files/2010/07/acrobat_X_tagging-manual.docx)

  • From powerpoint to adobe presenter : link problem

    Hi,
Can someone helps me? I have a problem with my link from
powerpoint to adobe presenter; indeed adobe presenter doesn't pay
attention of my link called something like "back to last view" and
it's very important in my presentation. Is that normal? Is there a
    solution?

This is normal. This call is not recognized by Presenter. The
best method to create an effect is to copy the slide an give the
user the ability to go "back" to the slide but by using branching
they are actually seeing a different slide. Then the slide that
they are directed to can be given the direction to go back to the
slide they came from or the slide after that.
