Error Printing in Client App ZEBRA TLP 2824

Hi, thank you for reading this, I been looking literally for 8 days now for over 18 hrs, and I can not find the solution. Please help me.
I created a project on Visual Studio 2005. Within the project there is one report that prints fine on my local machine but when I move it to the client the page is not passing with the right dimensions. It is very strange. I'm using a Zebra Printer TLP 2824 page size 2.25 x .75 no margins.
I have tested several scenarios and many settings. It prints on the client but only 1.25";; on the width (the height prints fine)
The estrange part is that if I place a box object, it will print on the 2.25";; width but if I place any text bound or unbound it will only print 1.25";; to the left.
I use this code on the click event:
Dim report As New ReportDocument()
        report.Load("C:\Program Files\TEST\Install\Test2.rpt";;)
        Dim margins As PageMargins = report.PrintOptions.PageMargins
        margins.bottomMargin = 0
        margins.leftMargin = 0
        margins.rightMargin = 0
        margins.topMargin = 0
        report.PrintOptions.ApplyPageMargins(margins)
        report.PrintOptions.PrinterName = "Zebra  TLP2824"
        report.PrintToPrinter(1, True, 0, 0)
        report.Close()
I tried direct print with the above code and also using a viewer on a form. Using a viewer I can see it well on my PC but again on the client I can only see a page of about 1.25";; x 1.25"; (but still the whole box object prints on the 2.25";; width and with the right height) just the text is being cut out or something by the width.
The software installed on the client PC are the generated by the build:
Net 2.0 SP 1
Microsoft Report Viewer Redistributable 2005
Crystal Reports for Net 2.0 (x86) v 10.2.0
On my PC I'm using (Installed by Visual Studio 2005 Professional):
Net 3.5
Crystal Reports XI Release 2 .NET 2005 Server
Could this be the problem? How do I get updates for my client PCs?
Any help will be really appreciated.
In advance, Thank you.

Hello,
The other issue is the Framework. CR XI R2 has a dependency on the 1.1. and 2.0 frameworks for printing, we use the framework printer functionality.
Search this forums for deploying issues, lots of posting to help you.
Thank you

    Sorry bare with me I'm still confused.  Are you saying that you are using a LabVIEW application that outputs ZPL data to a Zebra Printer (TLP 3844-Z).  And you want the commands to write out a smaller font than what you are currently getting?  As a quick recommendation I would call back and reword your problem to Zebra Tech support.  It never hurts to ask twice.
    Can you please post your code?

  • Calling EJB from from a client app

    Hi all,
    I am trying to call an EJB component from portal. The example EJB I have taken is from SDN Bonus Calculator example - Application Server/Web Dynpro/Samples and Tutorials/Using EJBs (20)
    I deployed the EAR file - no issue
    I wrote the following code in a client app and trying to connect to the EJB remotely.
              try {

                   InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext(properties);
                   //InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext();
                   // get ejb home
                   home =
                        (BonusCalculatorLocalHome) ctx.lookup(
                             "localejbs/MySessionBean");
                   theCalculator = home.create();

    Hi Sabbir,
    Following code works for me in calling EJB from normal java application. Did you added the jar files to your application?. see the required jar files in end of code.
    Create simple java applcation do the following steps:
    Give JNDI name to the EJB(HelloJNDI)->Add the HelloEJB to HelloEAR ->deploy
    Proxy Program to call ejb:
    import javax.naming.Context;
    import javax.naming.InitialContext;
    import com.sample.Hello;
    import com.sample.HelloHome;
    public class HelloTest {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
                       Hello remote = null;
                      try {
                        Context ctx = new InitialContext();
                        HelloHome home = (HelloHome) ctx.lookup("HelloJNDI");
                        remote = home.create();
                        String result = remote.hello();
                        System.out.print("Result:" + result);
                         } catch (Exception e) {
                                System.out.println("Exception:" + e.getLocalizedMessage());
    1. Go To  Run > Java Application ->New->select your project and select your main class(java program from which your going to call EJB)
    2. Click  next tab ->(x)=Arguments
    paste the following code in VM Arguments
    -Djava.naming.factory.initial=com.sap.engine.services.jndi.InitialContextFactoryImpl -Djava.naming.provider.url=localhost:50104
    replace the server IP address with your server IP address where your ejbs are running.
    Under Class path settings for the program put the following jar files.
    You can search for them from net weaver soruce folders
    or copy from D:\usr\sap\J2E\JC01\j2ee\j2eeclient
    ejb20.jar
    logging.jar
    exception.jar
    sapj2eeclient.jar
    Add Corresponding ejb.jar
    and RUN >>>
    this makes testing of your client programs easier, you can find the error trace on which line and saves lot of time.

  • Can't Print ( No Client Printer available ) on SGD 4.3.915 Webtop

    Using SGD 4.3.915 with Java JRE 6.0 Update1 (or any Java Version), connecting via Webtop (ie 7 and firefox 1.5.0.12) returns you a "no client printer" error. Using classic webtop is just fine, pdf printing is available there.
    Default printer on client (win xp sp2) is a network printer connected via unc share.
    any checklists available? Maybe some fiile system permissions, can s/o post me the correct permissions and ownerships for the /opt/tarantella/webserver directory pls?
    regards
    joerg

    the sgd is running on a sles 10.
    the initial installation was fine, but we had some printing issues and java permisions, so we "opened" the fs permissions to get it working.
    now i needed a template to change it back to the original fs permissions, therefore i extracted the rpm file.

  • Tips on localizing rich client apps

    We are currently using a properties resource file with around 1200 lines of localized
    messages/text. There is also an ApplicationResource class which contains string constants corresponding to the keys in the language file.
    -- client_en_US.properties --
    table.column.name=Name
    table.column.address=Address
    ApplicationResources.class
    public static final String TABLE_COLUMN_NAME="table.column.name";
    public static final String TABLE_COLUMN_ADDRESS="table.column.address";
    -- client app --
    ApplicationResources.getResources().getText(ApplicationResources.TABLE_COLUMN_NAME);
    The biggest disadvantage with this solution is that the ApplicationResources class gets very big and consumes quite a lot of memory, you'll end up with a string instance for each text that you want to localize. The advantage is that client devs don't have to look into the properties file for the proper key name instead they can use code completion(eclipse etc) and use the constant defined to get localized text. We also minimize runtime errors when property names are not found.
    We don't have any restrictions on the memory on the client side but I feel that this solution is definetly not very optimal and quite "ugly".
    Any suggestions on how to do this "properly"?

    The biggest disadvantage with this solution is that the ApplicationResources class gets very big
    and consumes quite a lot of memory, you'll end up with a string instance for each text that you
    want to localize.Actually, you don't create any string instances that you wouldn't otherwise create. Further, the class consumes disk space but not necessarily memory, because the static final fields are inlined into the classes which use them, so if they're the only members of the class there's no reason for it to be loaded.
    I feel that this solution is definetly not very optimal and quite "ugly".There aren't any nice ways of doing this, because you have to have some duplication. Your way of doing it is no worse than any other I've seen.
    If you really want to be sure that you don't hit runtime issues, my advice would be to write a model checker to put into your build process which scans the bytecode for calls to getText, asserts that the parameter is a constant string, and scans the properties files to ensure each has an entry with that string as its key.

  • Client apps accessing WL 6 services

    Hi All
    This is an addendum to the question I posted :
    Subject: External clients accessing WL(4.5.1 SP13) JNDI
    Date: Thu, 15 Feb 2001 14:07:38 -0500
    (BTW, I heard from only one person till now).
    I would repeat the question. We all have clients (applications) which
    would want to make use of our services (beans, etc). How are they able
    to access the Weblogic server's JNDI space?
    Only by having WLInitialCtxFactory and other related classes in their
    classpath??
    If that IS the case, isnt it defeating the purpose of using JNDI. Where
    is the transparency of location here. Looks like I still need to bundle
    Weblogic server classes to my clients (how many ever they may be).
    Support says there was no other way in WL 4.5.1. Is it any different in
    WL 6?
    If there is another way people are dealing with this situation, I would
    be grateful if you can reply to this post.
    Thanks
    Madhu
    (PS Weblogic engineers, please respond to this)

    Hi
    I wish there was a way that one could access using ANY JNDI implementation
    PROVIDED the credentials could be verified within the Weblogic security
    realm.
    Then I could ask the client to use SUN/Netscape or any other vendor's
    implementation and give the client a generic guest kind of credentials.
    What would be the issues involved if this were to happen?
    In our situation, the client might be another team hosting their own
    applications on Websphere or SilverStream and I cannot ask them to load up
    WL classes too. You know how it works.
    Thanks
    Madhu

    Hi,
    for WL5.1 there is a fourth approach which needs careful investigation
    to work properly but which is successfully used with Java Webstart
    within our development team. I guess this will work for WL6.0 in a
    similar manner. We use java -verbose and utils.verboseToZip to extract
    only the classes needed into one wl specific jar. The advantage is that
    there is an overal jar of about 2MB, so it's realistic to distribute
    from ISDN connections onwards. The disadvantage is that you need to
    follow every code line of your application very carefully - especially
    error situations - to get all the necessary classes.

    Conversation: Client apps accessing WL 6 services
    Subject: Re: Client apps accessing WL 6 services
    Yes, dealing with the same problem.
    At the moment we think that there are three strategies:
    1. Deploy all WL classes on the client (weblogicaux, current
    servicepack-jar
    and a jar containing the complete classes directory). This takes about
    20
    MB. Since we will use Java Web Start for deploying our applications we
    install this 'weblogic bundle' along with the installation of JWS. From
    then
    on, only the servicepack jar (~2 MB) will be updated on the server and
    therefore downloaded by JWS to the client. It's not an ideal situation
    but
    it allows 'quick and easy' developing
    2. A second approach is to develop applets and use the plugin to execute
    them on the client. The plugin allows single class loading (JWS only
    loads
    jars!) and requests for a class only when it is needed. This way you
    don't
    need 20 MB of jars on the client but still many weblogic classes are
    loaded.
    (And aren't we tempted to use Java Web Start instead of applets embedded
    in
    a browser!)
    3. The third approach we are currently looking into is develop an
    application totally independent of Weblogic (Thus, no
    WLInitialCtxFactory).
    Disadvantages are that you can't use some of the benefits of WL (like
    optimized t3 connections and maybe easier developing). Advantage however
    is
    that our applications are independent of the type of application server.
    Briefly this is where we are now. We were also a little discouraged
    while
    browsing the newsgroups and noticing that this seems to be an issue for
    many
    developers.
    Maybe someday...

  • ADF mobile Client App: Issue about using db sequence for populating row_id

    Hi,
    I'm working on an ADF mobile client app POC project. In the mobile app, new record can be created, the column type for row_id is VARCHAR2(15), I used the db sequence created in MC db, converted the seq number to a string, then set row_id via initDefaults method.
    The new records are created and row_ids are set with the proper sequence numbers when first time launching the client app in blackberry simulator. But if I exit the app and re-launch the app again, I got net.rim.device.api.database.DataTypeExpection when trying to create a new record.
    Could anyone please help me and let me know what could cause this issue? What should be the proper way to populate the row_id? Appreciate your response in advance!

    using 10gR2 on Sun-Solaris. Getting consistently "db file parallel read" over 35 ms as an average wait for the past few months. No performance issues as such.
    Using RAID 1+0. DB Size is 2 TB. Transactions are OLTP/Batch
    Is this metric high or normal. How to justify that..
    Looking at your results it's not really possible to say.
    db file parallel read is a request for a number of randomly distirbuted blocks, and the time for a read is the time for the last block of the set to be returned.
    Without knowing how many blocks are being requested at a time you can't really determine what constitutes a reasonable time. Given that you say OLTP + Batch, and have a large volume of scattered reads, it's quite possible that you have some queries on the Batch side doing very large index range scans - which would allow for some very large db file parallel reads.
    I take it from the use of statspack that you're not licensed for the diagnostic and performance packs; it would be easy to query v$active_session_history to get some idea of the number of blocks per request as this is given by the P2 parameter. As it is. you may be able to get a rough idea by messing about with the various "physical read" numbers in the Instance Activity section of statspack.

  • Error #1096 fault(Client.CouldNotDecode)

    Ever since i updated my Flash Player plugin for Firefox 3 my
    application keeps reports the following mx:HTTPService error #1096
    fault(Client.CouldNotDecode) This issue is only in FireFox but in
    Internet Explorer I have no problems bringing up the data. Both
    browsers
    have the latest version of Flash. When i test my code on a
    older version of the flash plugin for FireFox it works. Any ideas
    as to why. The XML is properly formatted with no errors.
    The funny thing is it all works perfectly in Internet
    Explorer Why is this. Is this a bug in the FlashPlayer?
    Also my XML is properly formatted.

  • Latest Microsoft RD Client App (8.0.8) does not work on iPhone or iPad.

    We use the RD Client app from Microsoft on all of our mobile devices. The newest version of RD Client (8.0.8) doesn't work on any iPhones and iPads. It crashes when it tries to connect to the designated remote gateway. All previous
    versions seems to work, 8.05, 8.0.6, and 8.0.7. We tested it on a MAC desktop and Android devices and they seem to work fine. I tried uninstalling and the re-installing the App, but it still doesn't work on the iphone or ipad. It just crashes and close
    out. We tested it on iOS 7.1.1 and 7.1.2. This is definitely an issue with the latest RD Client software. We tested on a lot of iPhones and iPads and all results been the same. Need help.

    Hi,
    If we do not use Remote Gateway, does the issue also occur?
    Meanwhile, please provide us the log for check.
    Thanks.

    Hi @EslamHassan
    Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I gather that you have a question regarding the HP All-in-One Printer Remote app.
    The LaserJet M127fw printer is not a supported printer for the HP AiO app. I have included the HP Printers and Supported Mobile Printing Solutions document for reference.
