Error REP-0001 While starting the Report service

Hi
When trying to start the reports service from 9iAS, i am getting error message as "REP-0001 Unable to open the message file", and in the Window Title it shows "Message 16200 not found, No message file for product rw".

Hi,
You(The user) need to have access permission to read the mesg files. The DBA installing Reports will be able to run the reports.
Grant read access to rwus.msb and rwus.msg files on $ORACLE_HOME/reports/mesg/
Try to run it, should work.

Hi John,
Yes,It was working earlier.
When I have added NTLM authentication for FDM I am getting that error,but instead of that if
I am adding the authentication provider as LDAP(CSS) I am not getting that error.
So finally i have added only one authentication provider and that is LDAP(CSS).
I fallowed ur document for integrating the FDM application with planning application.(http://john-goodwin.blogspot.com/2008/07/planning-v11-drill-back.html )
For the global logon information I have given admin and password , which I have given while adding the LDAP authentication (CSS).
I am getting machine profile missing error when i clicked on the dimension and the target dimension test box contain connection failed.
Can u suggest me where am I wrong?

An error has occurred while loading the report

Hello all,
I'm trying to view a Crystal Report from my CRM application and I receive the follow error message, but only when trying to view it on a laptop:
An error has occurred while loading the report. Please contact technical support.
Has anyone else run into this problem?

Did it never work or do you get this error only now?
Always or only sometimes only?

Error while starting the Informatica services

Hi All,
I have installed Informatica on my local machine. All of sudden my Informatica services in services.msc went down. If I start the Informatica service means, it is starting in services.msc. But after few seconds it is again going down in services.msc. Again if I start the service then it is starting and after 15 seconds it is going down again and again. I am not sure with the issue.
Due to that Informatica administrator page is not logging in and also I couldn’t connect to any of the Informatica clients.
I checked the catalina.out file and find the below error message:

Error while starting the BI services

Hi,
I am using obiee via windows server 2003, suddenly my OS stopped working and because of which I had to power off my system abnormally. when i logged into the system and started the BI Services, the weblogic service exited with the following error:-
<WebLogicServer> <BEA-000365> <Server state changed to FORCE_SHUTTING_DOWN>
Please help ASAP.
Your solution will be highly appreciated.

Error 3: "Windows cannot start the Firefox Service on Local Computer...?

When I click on the Services option under Microsoft Management and try to start the FIREFOX SERVICE I get this hiccup:

One of your services is not running. Are you able to login to the Enterprise Manager Console:
http://serverrname:7001/em (or whatever port WL is deployed on)
If so, you will see what is not running.
If you are not able to pull this URL up, then WebLoigc is not running. 11g on Windows only installs 2 out of box services, "Process Manager" and "Node Manager". You still need to start WebLoigc or create it as a windows services. From there you can access the EM and manage all the other services.

Error while starting the expedition service: URGENT

After successful Installation of Contract Management D:\pv\Contract Management\, I used the weblogic URLand deployed the D:\ pv\ Contract Management\ ear\ expedition. ear and named the deployment as expedition. Soon after when trying to start this deployment services, the below error is thrown.

possibly an error in your startweblogic.cmd file

Error while starting the report server

When starting report server in Oracle 10g Reports from command prompt with
rwserver server='server_name' It is flashing a error "'The procedure entry point psoasyn could not be located in the dynamic link library orapls10.dll"

This kind of problems may occur when several Oracle products are installed.
Create a BAT file that will set the PATH variable before calling rwserver.exe

Repersentation of #error in HFR while exporting the report in Excel

Hi All,
We are working on Hyperion Financial Report 9.3.1 with Essbase as a data source.
We are replacing the #error with 'NA', which is working fine when we are viewing the FR reports in workspace.
But when we export this report in Excel, word "NA" is changed by 0 (zero), which is misleading the user.
How can we stop this conversion (NA to 0)?
Any suggestion and help will be appreciated.

I tested the case with the way you offered me. I can reproduce the problem. I think it should be a bug of the product.
I searched that on ML3. I found a bug which said that. This bug has been fixed in EPM 11.1.1.0.00. I tested that on my EPM 11.1.1.0.00 system. It works fine. The NA value can be exported in excel.
So would you like to upgrade to EPM 11.1.1.0.00 to fix the issue?

Windows could not start the Server service on local computer Error 193:0xc1

Hello,
Not able to start Server (lanmanServer) Service in Windows Server 2008 R2
Its a VM and on logging into the Server it sometimes shows as started and then will stop by itself,
If we try to start manually it always gives the error --Windows could not start the Server service on local computer Error 193:0xc1
All dependent services are fine and running ,did sfc,did copy svchost and svcsrv.dll files from a working Server of same.but no help,no shares of this server are accessible since this service is not running
on checking the event log its shows an error "Server is not a valid win32 application"

Reporting Services provides a special account that is used for unattended report processing and for sending connection requests across the network. The account is used in the following ways:
Send connection requests over the network for reports that use database authentication, or connect to external report data sources that do not require or use authentication.
Retrieve external image files that are used in report. If you want to use an image file and the file cannot be accessed through Anonymous access, you can configure the unattended report processing account and grant the account permission to access the file.
According to the error message, password of unattended execution account has expired. To troubleshoot the problem, please refer to the following steps:
Start the Reporting Services Configuration tool and connect to the report server instance you want to configure.
On the Execution Account page, select Specify an execution account.
Type the account and password, retype the password, and then click Apply.
If credentials are passed in the connection string, you need to modify password of the connection string.
