Error:Set by Host Name:CRMDEV;Transaction:R3AS:SMOF_DOWNLOAD

Hi Folks,
I am trying to replicate BP  from CRM to R/3.All the Mappings from CRM to R/3 are already maintained. Also I have created the subscriptions and publications for R/3 in Admin Console. All the RFC Connections are working correctly. When I checked the SMQ1 in CRM I got the following error:
Set by Host Name: CRMDEV;Transaction R3AS:Report:SMOF_DOWNLOAD.
Can anyone guide me how to solve this issue?
Thanks.
Sudhan

Hi All,
Solved this issue myself.
Basically no need to worry about this queue message.
1) I done set the filter for EQUIPMENT in t-code R3AC1
2) Customer Relationship Management --> Master Data --> Installed Base --> Replication of technical objects from SAP ERP --> define default setting for Replication or equipment.
Site name - ERP logical system name
IBase Category - EQ
Obj.Family - 0401
Category ID - MAT_Z401 (Important note is this category is created under R3PRODSTYP hierarchy, under MAT_ category). Equipments in ERP also should create using this Category, then only the equipments will be downloaded)
Delta down load checked
3) Go to R3AS and select load object as EQUIPMENT and start
4) you can see the IBASE in CRM using IB53 or using the webUI search.
Thank you and Regards,
Niranjan

  • Network Error []: Cannot Get Host Name when running business rules

    Guru's
We are getting the following error intermittently when we are running business rules (Planning Application >>Tools>>Business Rules) or running SmartView refreshes:
Network error []: Cannot Get Host Name
The following is then logged in the Essbase Application logs:
    Local/Application/Database/admin@Native Directory/Error(1042022)
Network error []: Cannot Get Host Name.
A quick look at the Essbase Error Messages Doc says it is a network error and we have to consult the network documentation. Unfortunately this is not very descriptive so we logged an SR with Oracle but we don't seem to be getting a resolution.
The environment is 11.1.2.0 and the architecture is as follows:
    Server 1 - MS Server 2008 x64:
Planning, Calc Manager, Foundation Services, Framework Web Services, EAS, APS, Web Analysis, FR Web Services
    Server 2 - MS Server 2008 x64:
    Essbase Server
    Server 3 - MS Server 2008 x64:
    Framework Services, FR Print Services
We have tried doing the following:
    1. Put in the server host names into the hosts file on the Hyperion Servers
    2.  Applied the following TCP/IP settings on all the Hyperion Servers and one of the user machines as a test:
          - Added a new DWORD Value named TcpTimedWaitDelay and set it to 30.
         - Added a new DWORD Value named MaxUserPort and set it to 65534.
         - Added a new DWORD Value named MaxFreeTcbs and set it to 6250
    3. Confirmed that there are no packet drops by monitoring the server NICs so no packet loss could be the cause of this issue
    4. The Essbase Config file has the following settings:
    NETDELAY 2000
    NETRETRYCOUNT 2500
Has anyone come across this issue and if you managed to resolve it, how did you go about it.
    Thanx

    Hi Rahul
The issue is happening to a number of calcs so it it not one calc specifically. I will ask the functional consultants to enhance the logging in the business rules so that we can see if the issue happens on a specific member\block etc and yes we do use Xrefs
We can run this as a calc in EAS without any issues and it's intermittent because this business rule runs 95% of the time in Planning Application >> Tools >>Business Rules without any issues.
    Thanks

  • How to set dynamic host name in the URL of a URL iView?

    Hello,
I am using a standard URL iView that points to some J2EE app I've written and deployed on the same server.
I would like to set the host name to be a dynamic one, this way I won't need to change the iView URL when transporting it from one portal to another. As far as I know the system for a URL iView only controls authorizations but cannot replace the full URL set in the iView.
Any idea who can this be achieved?
    Roy

    Hi Mrityunjay,
forced URL at runtime will require me to call the URL iView from another iView that I will need to code (setting the URL in the Request object). If I did all this I might as well call it from this iView already.
I would like to do it with no further developments. I would have thought that SAP has constants that can be plugged in the URL for this type of thing, i.e. $hostname...

  • Error in URL (host name coming twice)

    Hi All,
I am facing a error while running any query in browser (Web Analyzer), in the URL that the system is generating the host name (sapdevqas) is coming twice due to which the page is not getting displayed, for now I have to delete it manually to make it work. Can anyone tell me how to rectify this & where i am going wrong.
    Thanks,
    Pritam.

    Hi,
If you are using the query designer 7.0 check the URL in table RSPOR_T_PORTAL for the default portal. Is the URL maintained correctly there? If you are using QD 3.5 you need to check the URL according to note 805344.
    Best regards,

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\services is having this bellow line
sapms<SID>     36<nn>/tcp     # SAP System Messaging Service Port
I guess you can realize that 36<nn> is the messaging server port, so you can in put your system no. in place of <nn>.
If you are trying too connect to another system and make sure it's port is also added in the service file and it's open (accessible from this system).

  • Error 5 Missing Host Name - Reimporting PCF Does Not Fix?

I have a virtual machine running Cisco VPN 5.0.02.0090 and apparently corrupted my PCF file last night.
I read up on it and it seems like the easiest fix is to just delete, then reimport another PCF; easy enough. I did this, but still have no hostname. In fact, I have no settings whatsoever when I click "Modify." Could all my versions of this PCF be corrupt, I wondered? I had my business partner send me a fresh definitely working copy. Still no luck.
So I uninstalled and then reinstalled the Cisco VPN; surely that will fix it. Added the PCF again. Still no hostname or anything else.
Just for kicks, I imported another PCF entirely for a company that I don't work for, just to see what happens. And it imports just fine and has all it's information.
So...I had a PCF go bad. When I delete it and bring in a new instance, it too is bad.
What is happening here? How on earth can I fix this?

Are the clients and the server on the same private LAN?
In that case you absolutely want to give your server a static IP address in your LAN environment. That's completely separate and distinct from the public DNS address that you're NATted through.
Open Directory will have all kinds of problems if the IP address of the server changes. This would also hold true for remote clients (assuming you're setting up some kind of port forwarding in your router to let remote clients connect).
So step back a little... give your server a static IP address in your LAN, then replay the setup instructions.

  • FQHN (Fully qualified host name)

    Hi all,
I'm trying to use FQHN in my PI 7.0 installation. I'm not a basis guy but I have installed a successfull instance without using FQHN before, now I want to do this again using FQHN.
I need information on this topic; such as where to set the host name to a FQHN. Is there a guide on this? Any related links and help will be very much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Gökhan

    Hi again,
I have observed that my host name is used in these places:
    • etc/hosts file
    • Exchange Profile hostname parameters
    • SLDAPICUST transaction
    • RFC destinations like SAPSLDAPI, LCRSAPRFC etc
    • Visual Admin: SLD Data Supplier, Destinations -> PMISTORE, JCO RFC Provider
Also, there's an icm/host_name_full parameter in RZ10, which I have changed accordingly.
I have made up a FQHN for my server, which I configured from the computer name in the Windows settings. It has a form like myhost.mydomain.com and it is not on a domain. I have a basic local installation.
In SAPInst, I entered my host name as only , as it would not let me use the form myhost.mydomain.com. Afterwards, I have changed the name in the places I have listed above.
Is this enough for SAP standards for FQHN or have I missed any steps? I really need a guide on this.
    Thanks,
    Gökhan

  • Getting OS X Host Name from Cambia

We would like to configure our OS X workstations to return their hostnames when scanned with Cambia (network monitoring software). Cambia uses netbios, tcp probes, dns lookup and nmap to discover the identity of nodes on the network. Can anyone tell me how to configure OS X to return its host name when Cambia does a scan??
I know netbios is a no-go, but I manually set the host name in the /etc/hostconfig file in the hope that would do it. It doesn't.
Is there a setting or software that would return the hostname via an nmap probe????

  • Need help with Host Name

I have several Macs and PC connected through my wireless network. On My wireless router I am able to see all the computers connected. All the PC's show their Host Name. All of the Macs show their correct IP addresses but show a host name of unknown. I have gone to system preferences and from there gone to sharing and set the macs local hostname to xxx.local. I have not checked the 'Use dynamic global hostname' option. After doing this the host name still shows as unknown. Where do I go in a mac to properly set the host name so it will show up on the wireless networks as well as the ip address?
Thanks in advance for all help.

Setting the host name in sharing was the answer. A reboot was required.

  • [SOLVED] dhcp host names

I'm trying to set a host name for myself when using dhcpcd. I have tried both hostnamectl and the hostname variable in dhcpcd.conf. Still, when I try to open an ssh session from another computer, it does not recognize the hostname that I've designated. It looks like DDNS is required for dhcp host names if I'm not mistaken. Would setting DDNS up for my public IP address allow dhcp host names for the router connected to it?

Oh I see. Well, is not exactly what I though, but sill can be solved by using dnsmasq.
If your router has DNS, then you only need it to resolve your hostname by the ip. Normally, in my experience, just because the router can detect your hostname, does not pass it to the machines on the lan, You need to specify it using a DNS.
Again, if your router has DNS, just add your laptops ip and its hostname there. (using the router is the easiest way)
If your router does not have DNS, you can configure a DNS server. And thats what dnsmasq is. install dnsmasq on a machine on your lan, and that machine will become your dns server, and add your laptop ip and hostname on the /etc/hosts there.
Now, you'll need that the other machines use your DNS server.
If they run linux, add the ip of the server to /etc/resolv.conf.head of each machine, or, if your router allows it, change the parameters of dhcp, so it assigns the ip of your server as default DNS.
Read the wiki article Dnsmasq, for more information. And, read your router manual to see if it has DNS service.
(A less perfect, but more simple aproach is to add the ip and hostname of your laptop on the /etc/hosts of the  machine where you are trying to use ssh; it will work only on that machine, but is faster and easier)

You're using the "imaps" protocol, but you've set properties for the "imap" protocol.  Change all the property names from mail.imap.* to mail.imaps.*.
Also, get rid of all the socket factory properties.
If you still can't connect, see these connection debugging tips.
Most likely you're using the wrong host name or port number.  In almost all cases, it's better to just let JavaMail choose the correct port number.

  • What is "Host name" in setting up mail accounts

I can't seem to send a message. I keep getting an error message that the connection to the outgoing server failed.
My Incoming Mail Server is "pop-server.tampabay.rr.com" is set up correctly, but
My Outgoing mail is "smtp-server.tampabay.rr.com" and this asks for a "Host Name"
What do I put in for the Host name? There is no hyphen available to set this up as "smtp-server....".
It shows an example of "smtp.example.com", but I don't have anything that is "smtp.tampabay.rr.com". So what do I use?

When your typing in the smpt-server click on the icon in the lower left bottom that looks like (@123). This will take you to the alternate key board so that you can enter in the - that you are looking for.
