I am getting following error
oracle.jsp.parse.JspParseException: Line # 1, Error: Tag
attempted to define a bean which already exists: webBoard
The first few line of my code is given below

<jsp:useBean id ="webBoard" scope = "session" class
= "com.webBoard.DBBean"/>

Include file causes redefinition of bean which already exists!!

i have a jsp page in which i have 3 directives include.
in every included file i have the same bean used like that:
<jsp:usebean id="myid" class="myclass" scope="session"/>
that causes the following error:

(it s in frensh i tried to traduce it)

Duplicate ids found in the same translation unit shall result in a fatal translation error. The jsp page, together with the included files as specified by page directive "include" recursively, is considered inside one translation unit.
Removing that line in your included files will fix the problem. Of course, you need to include that line exactly once in the including page.

Survey input into a list which already exists?

Can you have a survey populate specific items in a list which already exists?
Example List Columns:
Title
Number
Date
Survey Result A (this is entered by a survey)
Survey Result B (this is entered by the same survey)
Also, can surveys be completed by people who do not have permissions to the site?

          from scratch and WLCS 2.01 SP3 on top of SP2. Since then, I'm having trouble with
          a JSP tag from WLCS's esjsp.jar.
          Here's the code:

Packing into a HU which already exists with an IDOC

I am using DELVRY03 with SHPCON idocs.
I can pack into new HU's using E1EDL37/E1EDL44.
But when I try to pack into a pre-existing, empty HU, it fails as it is trying to create the HU. Anybody do this?

I understand that duplicate values have been inserted into a column that has a unique constraint.
I just can't figure out how to rectify the problem.

already exists in the unique-value field then the DB
refuses to update the field.
If the value is different it will update.Are you trying to insert or update in SQL (identified by the keyword INSERT or UPDATE respectively)?
Even in case of an UPDATE query, if you are going to update the values of some columns to violate the unique constraints, the update will not succeed and you will get the error message.

If this is the case, I am only trying to update and
not create a new item.To put it in simpler words, if you have a set of values defining the uniqueness of a record, you cannot insert another record with the same set of unique values. Similarly, you cannot update an existing record by modifying the set to conflict with another set of unique values which already exist in the database.
Suppose there are two columns A and B defining the uniqueness of the record and you have only two records at the moment like -
A B
========
1 1
2 1
If you try to insert a record with A = 1 and B = 1, it will fail because a record already exists. You cannot violate uniqueness because the database has already been told that there will be only one record for any given combination of A and B.
Similarly, if you try to update the second record from A = 2 to A = 1, the end result would be A =1 and B = 1. There is already a record with that set of values and this will result in a violation of the uniqueness. So, this update will also be disallowed. On the other hand, if you try to update B to some value, say 3, there is no problem in doing so.
For convenience, you can imagine an UPDATE operation to be equivalent to DELETE + INSERT operation, though it doesn't necessarily work the same way internally.
I hope I was clear enough.

WLS 7: "Bean is already undeployed" error

Been beating againt WLS 7.0 some more.
Originally, we had our application running in Tomcat and using WLS purely
for EJBs. Now, we've been trying to get the WAR to work within WLS, and made
some layout changes in order to accomodate WLS.
But now, I'm consistently (though I won't say repeatably, as in I can make
it happen) getting these errors, and once that happens, my app is dead.
The WAR and EJBs are part of the same EAR file. I don't any notice in the
WLS log of WLS "undeploying" the IRNGenerator bean, and I'm certainly not
doing it myself, yet I get this error all the time, and it's a bit of a
roadblock.
This doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm not seeing any other exceptions in the
WLS log that would foreshadow this happening.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Messages fail in PI with error "Message ID already exists in database"

The scenario is from FILE->PI->MDM .
Few messages fail in PI with the error Message ID 415a6324-dd3d-11e3-94e0-00000613e84e already exists in database .
I have already seen the SAP NOTE : 1361305 , My doubt is if this error is any way related to MDM side issue or anything else.
Please help me out .

Can you check once whether message gets failed after it is automatically restarted.
Check traces for each defined pipeline.
I think, at first message got failed due to some reason (i forgot the reason for my case) and when it automatically restart it fails saying message id already exist. Check the root cause why it failed for the first time.
Also check with basis team on tablespace issue.

"already exist" error during JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 installation

Hi all
I am trying to install JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 and i am having the following error:
"Prototype Control Tables and/or Business Data already exist. The installer detected an existing Prototype Environment on your computer. Please go back and switch to Upgrade Mode, or click cancel, and uninstall your existing Prototype Environment and try again."
I have installed successfully the deployment server but when i try to install the enterprise server i am having this error. After installing the deployment server(on windows with oracle database) i do not know which are the default credentials for entering the E1LOCAL database created.
Can you please suggest how can i solve this issue?
