Error: the 'MBAM Policy' view does not exist.
MBAM 2.0 SP1 with SCCM 2012 integration:
I am receiving this error when the reports are run from the reporting services point and from inside of the SCCM console. The view that the reports are testing for does exist in the SCCM database. I do not understand why the reports are giving this error.
Each of these MBAM reports have a test for the view V_GS_MABM_POLICY :
DECLARE @query nvarchar(70)
SET @query = N'SELECT COUNT(EncodedComputerName0) AS Status FROM V_GS_MBAM_POLICY'
BEGIN TRY
EXEC(@query)
END TRY
BEGIN CATCH
SELECT 0 AS Status
END CATCH
If the Try fails then you receive the above error message in Red Font.
This view - V_GS_MBAM_POLICY does exist so I am not sure why this is occurring. I have completely redone the MBAM setup on the SCCM 2012 server after removing all the MBAM collection and reports, etc. following the instructions from this article -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2831166 I also removed the classes. I ran the setup again - just the SCCM integration feature and it gives me the same results. Some have suggested that the inventory has
to be collected by the clients first before these reports work and that doesn't appear to be the case. This red font error message is only shown if the view is not reachable. Anyone have any ideas?
I was mistaken, the view is queried for a count and if 0, it displays that error message. So it may be correct that this is normal until the first clients return data that populates the MBAM/Bitlocker tables.

MBAM - SCCM 2012 Reports - Error: the 'MBAM Policy' view does not exist
Hi
I have installed MBAM with SCCM 2012 integration. A single server install with SQL server 2012. Mostly it has gone smoothly and laptops are being encrypted and pins stored and recoverable. The problem I have is reports are not showing. I get the following
error message.
"Error: the 'MBAM Policy' view does not exist"
Any ideas why this is? I get the same error message with all 4 reports.Hi Slycy,
There is another thread that seems to be a similar issue
here that may help you. The last post in particular has a number of steps that you can use to speed up creation of the views:
Just for future reference, there are quite a few things that have to happen before the view is created. This is merely how CM works.
Make MBAM MOF changes
Select TPM spec version in hardware inventory
Install MBAM CM Integration feature
Perform a machine policy refresh cycle on a client to get the MOF changes that need to be inventoried
Perform hardware inventory
Update MBAM Supported Computers collection membership. The machine should appear if it meets the criteria
Run another machine policy refresh on the client so that the Configuration Baseline will come down
Make sure that the MBAM agent has woken up once
Evaluate the Configuration Baseline
The MBAM views should be created now.
You don't have to do this for every machine, but this is the process to speed it up. If you let CM do it, it could take over a week before the view is created the first time, depending on when Hardware inventory runs, etc.
Hope this helps,

ORA-00942: the table or view does not exist
Hello!!!!
I have tree simple mappings each one with only one dimention and sometimes external or normal tables. One of them is ok but I can´t deploy the others.
In Controle Center I have this messege: the table or view does not exist.
I genereted both queries and run in SQL navigator with the same message.
I realized that I can set the schema properties for external tables but I couldn´t do the same for Dimension (or I don´t know where I can do this).
I believe that I have to set this propertie for dimension to have my mapping running ok, but I realized that the only one mapping that is ok does not have this propertie set.
Where is the problem?!!?!?!?
I validated these mapping and they have warnnings about column length, no errors.
In the previous OWB version I used to set this propertie, but in 10.2 I don´t know if is realy necessary.Try to open the package body with a tool like TOAD and try to compile it. When you use TOAD the process stops where the error is. Then you know which table or view doesn't exist for the OWB. If the table or view does exist then it is almost certainly a missing privilege that prevents you from succesfully deploying your mapping. If the table or view does not exist then you've got to deploy the underlying (bound) table.

Jörg -

Error 'The location you entered does not exist or is flagged as inactive.'
Hi
In iRecruitment, when Employee Candidate applies for any job, we are getting the error 'The location you entered does not exist or is flagged as inactive.' And it stops employee from applying to any jobs. We are in 11.5.10.2 version.
Appreciate any pointers on the same.
Thanks

Edited by: user5733015 on Dec 19, 2009 8:35 PMHi Hussein
Thanks for the update.
I have gone through all those notes. But, the issue we face here seems to be a peculiar one. First of all, it happens while applying for job (iRecruitment Self Service) and not while creating a contingent worker or creating an employee in the form, as given in the notes.
Moreover, We haven't had this error either in development nor in test instance. It happened only when we migrated the setups to Production. Moreover, the test and development are nothing but the clone of production at various time intervals. We have tested this on the very latest clone of production (that happened on 15th november) and verified that it doesn't popup there.
Can you give me some insights 'What could be the actual problem'?
Considering the solution given in the notes, it talks about 'Setting the default work location for the business group'? Where to set this up?
Appreciate all your help.
Thanks

Invoice created via SUS having error -The template item 1 does not exists
Hi All,
We are in SRM6.0 and in our PRD system, we have few invoices created through SUS showing error "The template item 1 does not exist.
These invoices went into "To be corrected" status and when I hit check it gives me above error message. The message itself don't make much sense to me. Please note we can create new invoice in SRM manually and everything works fine.
Appreciate any pointers.
Thanks, SachinWe have analysed the issue and found we are getting this error because these invoices are missing with "BE_LOG_SYSTEM" field in table BBP_PDBEI and "BE_REFOBJ_TYPE" field is showing "BUS2201 instead of "BUS2012".
Any feedback why we have these difference as compare to good invoices (created directly in SRM).
Thanks, Sachin -
RDS Gateway + Smart Card Error [ The specified user name does not exist.]
I have the following Windows Server 2008 R2 servers:
addsdc.contoso.com, AD DS Domain Controller for contoso.com
adcsca.contoso.com, AD CS Enterprise CA, CDPs/AIAs published externally.
fileserver.contoso.com, RDS Session Host for Administration enabled
rdsgateway.contoso.com, RDS Gateway enabled
tmgserver.contoso.com, 'Publishing' rdsgateway.contoso.com but with pass-through authentication
And the following Windows 7 PCs:
internalclient.contoso.com
externalclient.fabrikam.com
There's no trust between the domains, the external client is completely separate on the internet but the CA certificate for contoso.com has been installed in the trusted Root CA store. All servers have certificates for secure RDP.
I enrolled for a custom 'Smart Card Authentication' certificate with Client Authentication and Smart Card Logon EKUs from the CA, stored on my new Gemalto smart card using the Microsoft Base Smart Card CSP.
From internalclient.contoso.com, I can RDP to fileserver.contoso.com
using the smart card just fine with no certificate errors.
From externalclient.fabrikam.com, I can RDP to fileserver.contoso.com
via rdsgateway.contoso.com using a username and password just fine with no certificate errors.
From externalclient.fabrikam.com, I can RDP to fileserver.contoso.com
via rdsgateway.contoso.com using the smart card to authenticate to the gateway, and a username and password to authenticate to the end server, just fine.
BUT from when using a smart card to authenticate to the end server via the gateway, it fails with:
The specified user name does not exist. Verify the username and try logging in again. If the problem continues, contact your system administrator or technical support.
When I move the client into the internal network and try the connection again (still via the RDS Gateway), it works fine - the only thing I can think of is being outside the network and not being able to contact the AD DS DC for Kerberos is causing the issue
- but I'm pretty sure this is a supported scenario?
The smart card works fine internally, the subject of the certificate is the user's common name (John Smith) and the only SAN is
[email protected] which matches the UPN of the user account as it was auto-enrolled.
Does anyone have any ideas?I had a similar issue where I am using a smart card through a Remote Desktop Gateway. I had to disable Network Level Authentication (NLA) on the destination Remote Desktop Server. If anyone has another way around this, I'd appreciate hearing it. I'd prefer
to use NLA. -
Cannot optimize volume - Receive error "The specified extrinsic Method does not exist"
When I try to optimize a volume on a server running Windows Server 2012 (R1). I receive the below error. This volume is an ISCSI target to our Compellent SAN. Other Servers don't have an issue with volumes created on the same SAN and I have already ran ChkDsk
and it returned no errors. Oddly enough I can run a "Defrag T: /D" but a "Defrag T: /O" returns
"Incorrect Function. (0x80070001)" (Incidentally an "Optimze-Volume T -Defrag" also works)
Any Ideas? I'm stumped!

This is an Exchange 2013 server but I wouldn't think that that would exclusively cause a problem like this (unless there is something under the hood that Exchange 2013 is secretly
doing). The C drive is for the OS, the M drive is for the Exchange DB, and the
T drive is for the Logs. The C drive is "directly" connected and the M and T drives are on the same SAN (different LUNs) via iSCSI. This is running as a virtual guest on VMWare ESXi v5.5. I have other servers setup the

Windows 8 Remote Desktop Error "The Requested Security Package Does Not Exist"
When my remote host (win server 2008 R2) is configured to use SSL for security layer, RDP from my Windows 8 gets
"An authentication error has occurred. The requested security package does not exit."
When the host is set to use RDP security layer, it works fine.
Registry key solution for Win7 suggested on other posts does not seem to apply to win8.
This is a Lenovo desktop, I uninstalled silverlight and bunch of other OEM installed programs.This fixed my problem in Windows 8 while connecting to a Windows 7 host. I needed the pku2u entry. I decided to look it up and here's the info for anyone that's interested.
Introducing PKU2U in Windows
Applies To: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2
This product evaluation topic for the IT professional describes the Public Key Cryptography Based User-to-User (PKU2U) security support provider (SSP) that is new in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
PKU2U protocol
The PKU2U protocol in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 is implemented as an SSP. The SSP enables peer-to-peer authentication, particularly through the Windows 7 media and file sharing feature called Homegroup, which permits sharing
between computers that are not members of a domain.
How PKU2U works
Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 introduce an extension to the Negotiate authentication package, Spnego.dll. In previous versions of Windows, Negotiate decides whether to use Kerberos or NTLM for authentication. The extension SSP for Negotiate,
Negoexts, which is treated as an authentication protocol by Windows, supports Microsoft SSPs including PKU2U. You can also develop or add other SSPs.
When computers are configured to accept authentication requests by using online IDs, Negoexts.dll calls the PKU2U SSP on the computer that is used to log on. The PKU2U SSP obtains a local certificate and exchanges the policy between the peer computers. When
validated on the peer computer, the certificate within the metadata is sent to the logon peer for validation and associates the user's certificate to a security token and the logon process completes.
For more information about developing SSPs, see
Custom Security Packages in the MSDN Library.
For more information about the Negotiate extensions (Negoexts), see
Introducing Extensions to the Negotiate Authentication Package. -
**** Everyone...
Please, would someone give me some help to resolve the error (WIN7):
"The specified domain does not exist or could not be contacted."
I have Open Directory, DNS and SMB running. No errors are present.
Any info I can give to help solve,please ask.
Thank you.Sorry, that problem is not an DNS problem but an SMB 3.0.28a (version used in SLS 10.6.1) problem in conjunction with Windwos 7. It is well know that Samba versions before 3.3.4 won´t work with Windows 7, see http://ggts.net/2009/05/17/joining-a-windows-7-system-to-a-samba-domain/ and https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6680
You can to some easy command-line test on the Win7 client, e.g. nltest dctest:<domainname> and you will see that domain and pdc are properly resolved but the client can not be added due to password bugs.
It´s time for now Apple to move on to a more recent version of samba, version 3.0.28a is 20 months old!!!
Right now, OS X Server 10.6.1 with OD/SMB as PDC is not usable with Windows 7 clients right now! Since this bug is known since 2 months and fixed 5 days later it´s quite impressing how Apple looks after their customers! -
Error: table or view does not exist
Hi,
I created a procedure where it inserts records from other table (different machine/database). when I execute it, the error was Table or View does not exist+. It seems that it cannot access the table from the other machine/database.
here is my code..

ACCOUNT_NUMBER ,
TELEPHONE ,
ADDRESS
select
TBL_ACCNT.ACCOUNT_NUMBER ,
TBL_EMP.TELEPHONE ,

where PHONE_NUMBER > 0
) TBL_ACCNT
where TBL_ACCNT.PHONE_NUMBER = TBL_EMP.TELEPHONE
Do I need to create a grant or something to access the table from the other machine?
Help me please...
TIA.. :)hi,
the code I posted above was from the procedure I created in Designer. here is the code in the Operator after I run it..
insert into OBI_DEV.TEMPX_ACCOUNT

Table or view does not exist when using in PL/SQL block
I hav something strange...
When i execute a query it works just fine... When i use the exact same query in a function i want to create, i get the error 'table or view does not exist'
I create the function with the same user then when i'm executing the query.
For example:
select name,userid from portal.WWLOG_ACTIVITY_LOGS
if i execute this... it works fine. I get my results.
However when i create a function:
CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION EBUSINESS.GET_USER_CREATOR (p_userid IN Varchar2) return VARCHAR2
as
/*CURSOR c_user_creator IS
select distinct name,userid from portal.WWLOG_ACTIVITY_LOGS
where sub_domain = 'user' and action = 'create'
and name = p_userid;*/
v_creator varchar2(500);
v_ret_val VARCHAR2(500) := 'NOT_FOUND';
BEGIN
select userid into v_ret_val from portal.WWLOG_ACTIVITY_LOGS
where sub_domain = 'user' and action = 'create'
and name = p_userid;
--v_ret_val := x.userid;
--end loop;
-- Is the user in the group or not?
/*OPEN c_user_creator;
FETCH c_user_creator INTO v_creator;
IF c_user_creator%FOUND THEN
v_ret_val := v_creator;
ELSE
v_ret_val := 'NOT FOUND';
END IF;
CLOSE c_user_creator;*/
Return v_ret_val;
END;
The table or view does not exist...
I tryed with cursor, select into, for x in (select....)
Nothing works.
A select grant is a select grant right? Are there different grant you should use so you can select it into a function or just do a normal select?
I also tryed to create a view that just sais select * from WWLOG_ACTIVITY_LOGS but that doesn't work...Are there different grant you should use so you can
select it into a function or just do a normal select? Yes. Grants on objects used in functions/procedures must be given directly to the user, and not through a role. -
APEX_APPLICATION_FILES: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
Hello,
As my first APEX task I am attempting the upload/download demo on http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32472_01/doc/appdev.300/b32469/up_dn_files.htm
The ultimate goal is to store PDF files in the database.
In order to complete step 1: To create an application using the Create Application Wizard:
- I first created a user from SYSTEM called 'myapp'
- Next I logged into 'myapp' to continue the exercise. (I am wondering if that is where I am going wrong... If so, please clarify)
- Knowing that I would want to save the upload to a table I created a table with a BLOB
I did the steps for the upload and ran the application - no errors to there.
Next I needed to "To create a report on APEX_APPLICATION_FILES:".
I started the wizard as instructed. When I pasted the SELECT ... FROM APEX_APPLICATION_FILES, I got the table or view does not exist. A quick review of the TABLES tab shows only the tables that I created. Not any of the system tables or views.
I logged back in as SYSTEM and reviewed the 'rights' given the user 'myapp'. All were checked.
I knew nothing of Oracle when I installed XE, so I took defaults or whatever the install doc said to do. Is that part of the problem? It is clear that I do not have rights to see that table, but I also do not see the table when logged in as SYSTEM.
Any insight appreciated,
RickThanks for the reply.

l_blob BLOB;
BEGIN
INSERT INTO tab1 (col1)

RETURN col1 INTO l_blob;
l_bfile := BFILENAME('IMAGES', 'MyImage.gif');

DBMS_LOB.loadfromfile(l_blob, l_bfile, DBMS_LOB.getlength(l_bfile));
DBMS_LOB.fileclose(l_bfile);
COMMIT;
END;
Is the 'BFILENAME' function that causes the 'get a filename' dialog box of Windows to open for the user to find which file to upload?
I'm going off to look for a newer version of APEX, thanks. -
