Error when creating a new Data Source
All, This is on BI Publisher 11g.
When I create a new data source and supply password and then click "Apply" button on top right corner, i get following error
Error 500--Internal Server Error
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
what am i doing wrong?
Thank you for reading this post.
Thanks,
R
The schema/user is system and the password is alpha-numeric, upper/lower case, no special char ...
As a workaround I was able to add the password to the entry in the datasources.xml file and restarted BI Pub.
The JDBC is working ... I can test the connection successfully ... just wont save the entry

Error creating a new Data Source for Oracle connection
I'm trying to create a new data source connection to our
Oracle 10gR2 server using ColdFusion Administrator 6.1 Standard on
a Windows 2003 server.
I created a System DSN ODBC connection for Oracle. I can use
the ODBC connection when connecting an Access db to Oracle but when
I try to use it w/ ColdFusion Admin it generates the following
error message:
Connection verification failed for data source: sitest2
[]java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC
Driver][ODBC Socket]internal error:
Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException:
[Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC Driver][ODBC Socket]internal error:

Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Runtime Error when creating a new group
I'm getting a runtime error when creating a new group on a site collection?
Thanks in advanceThe most possible reason is if your site collection is reached the maximum site quota limit,then there is chance to get the run time error while creating a new group.
In this case,you will get the error while creating/updating the group or while adding the new user/uploading any content.
Also Ensure the group name is not having any special/unsupported characters.
Feel free to share the error screenshot/entry in the ULS logs.
Please remember to click 'Mark as Answer' on the answer if it helps you

as I get the following error: Incorrect procedure name: 'executeUpdateNativeQuery' (Error code: 10000)
I am following page 482 of the Data Federator User Guide.

Hi Jason
There is a typo in the documentation, the name of the procedure is:
executeNativeUpdateQuery
By the way, you can get the full procedure list by entering the following query in the administrator
SELECT * FROM leselect.system.procedures
Hope this helps,

Getting 401 error while creating a Report Data Source with MOSS 2010 Foundation
I have setup SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services with SharePoint 2010 Foundation in SharePoint integrated mode. SharePoint Foundation is in machine 1 whereas SQL Server 2008 R2 and SSRS Report Server are in machine 2. While configuring Reporting
Services - Sharepoint integration, I have used Authentication Mode as "Windows Authentication" (I need to use Kerberos).
My objective is to setup a Data Connection Library, a Report Model Library, and a Reports Library so that I can upload a Report Data Source, some SMDLs, and a few Reports onto their respective libraries.
While creating the top level site, "Business Intelligence Center" was not available for template selection since SharePoint Foundation is being used. I therefore selected "Blank Site" as the template.
While creating a SharePoint Site under the top level site, for template selection I again had to select "Blank Site".
I then proceeded to create a library for the data connection. Towards this, I created a new document library and selected "Basic page" as the document template. I then went to Library Settings for this newly created library and clicked on
Advanced Settings. In the Advanced Settings page, for "Allow management of content types?" I selected "Yes". Then I clicked on "Add from existing content types" and selected "Report Data Source". I deleted the existing
"Document" content type for this library.
Now I wanted to created a Data Connection in the above Data Connection library. For this when I clicked on "New Document" under "Documents" of "Library Tools" and selected "Report Data Source", I got the error "The
request failed with HTTP status
401: Unauthorized.".
Can anybody tell me why I am getting this error?
Note: I have created the site and the library using SharePoint Admin account.Hi,
Thank you for your detailed description. According to the description, I noticed that the report server was not part of the
SharePoint farm. Add the report server to the
SharePoint farm and see how it works.
To join a report server to a SharePoint farm, the report server must be installed on a computer that has an instance of a SharePoint product or technology. You can install the report server before or after installing the SharePoint product
or technology instance.
More information, see
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb283190.aspx
Thanks.

"logon failed" error when connecting to XML data source
I have an HTTP source that generates XML. I have a schema that describes this XML. If I save the XML to a local file it works fine as a data source with the schema. However, when I try to access the same data via HTTP, I get the following error:
Logon failed.
Details: Cannot open file
Server returned HTTP response code: 401 for URL: http://localhost:8004/report.xqy?Validate%20XML=0&Use%20WS-Security%20Config%20File=&WS-Security%20File%20Location
However, if I enter that URL in a browser it works fine. And even if I disable security on the HTTP source, it produces the same error.
I have tried a local HTTP source as well as the same source running on Amazon EC2.
Any ideas?Thanks for the help.
I am new to crystal reports, so I do not understand your suggestion. Both of those points look like they are related to Adobe Flash.
I am trying to create a report using the standard report creation wizard:
1) new, standard report
2) create new connection
3) xml and web services
4) xml data source
When using the sample from the SAP site, it works fine:
http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/downloads/samples/cr/customer_db/customer.xml
When connecting to my source from a browser, it works fine. When using my source as a local document instead of over http it works fine. It is only when connecting to my source over http that I get the failed logon error.

Approval workflow error when creating a new custom entity in FIM 2010 R2
Hello,
i'm hoping somebody here can help, me i've been struggling with this for some time now. On a fresh FIM installation i create a custom entity named "Role" and add a few custom attributes.
I then create an approval workflow and MPR for normal users to create entities of type Role, but another user must approve this request. The other user has a working mailbox - i've tried firing an action workflow that sends a mail notification when someone
creates a new role and it is working fine. But, when i enable my approval workflow (the only field i changed from default is the approver) on the MPR, the workflow always failes with the message:

Reason: The server workflow rejected the operation.

Error when creating a new CrystalReport.rpt file.
I get the following error when attempting to add a new CrystalReport to my project:
Database Connection Error: ‘ADO Error Code: 0x80040e14
Source: Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 11.0
Description: Line 1: invalid procedure number (0). Must be between 1 and 32767.
SQL State: 42000
Native Error: 1005 [Database Vendor Code: 1005 ]’
This is happening as soon as I select the database:
It asks me to enter the database password, then crashed out with this error, without giving me the chance to even select any procedures.
There are procedures there, and the user account used to log in has access to them.
I'm using Visual Studio 2010.Database Vendor Code: 1005 is being passed from the database client through the report engine - unmodified. E.g.; look for the error in your database documentation.
See:

Failed to open the connection. Details: [Database Vendor Code: <vendor code number>].

SCSM Authoring Tool verification error when creating a new property
I am needing to add several new fields to an existing customized ServiceRequest Extended Form. Using SCSM I exported the management pack (as a bundle) and then used PowerShell to export to a .xml. Now when I open the class and try
to create a new property I get an error stating:
The management pack could not be verified due to this error:
Verification failed with 1 errors:
Error 1:
Found error in ...servicerequestextendedform.category with message:
The Target attribute value is not valid. Element ....ServiceRequestExtendedForm.Category references a Target element that cannot be found.
I am very new to this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!you probably want to go back to original sources, rather then exporting from Service Manager, since the export will break any sealing and might cause issues when authoring or resealing.
You'll also need :
a Sealed version of the class extension, since this is going to need to be loaded into the authoring tool before you see the extra properties,
an unsealed copy of the MP that contains the form customization, so you can edit it
the original key used to seal the current customization, so you can seal the upgraded form using the same key so it will upgrade the MP correctly in your production environment.
The specific error you're running into looks like a MP reference error, but it's hard to be sure without seeing the original XML. i'd make sure that you have opened the sealed versions of any other MPs this MP depends upon. -
PLS-00428 Error when creating a new trigger
Hi,
I'm encountering the PLS-00428 error when I run the script below.
CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER TIBCOUSER.po_response_trigger
BEFORE INSERT ON po_response FOR EACH ROW
BEGIN
IF:NEW.ariba_processsequence is null then
SELECT pttransid AS pttransid, 'Product Test Pass 1' AS pttransname, aribaorderid AS aribaorderid, '0' AS errorcode, '' AS MESSAGE, SYSDATE AS ariba_insertdate
FROM po_request
WHERE adb_l_delivery_status = 'N';
UPDATE po_request
SET adb_l_delivery_status = 'C'
WHERE adb_l_delivery_status = 'N';
END IF;
END;
Can someone point out what is missing or what is wrong with the script? Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards,
JiggerHi Jigger,
I was able to create the trigger using the script below.That's nice, you got the trigger created. Below is your trigger, I have added some comments.
create or replace trigger tibcouser.po_response_trigger
before insert or update
on po_response
for each row
declare
-- 1. These variables should really be anchored to po_response
-- 2. They should be named differently than columns in po_response
-- 3. It seems that you don't need them (See 7.)
pttransid integer := null;
pttransname varchar2(255) := null;
aribaorderid varchar2(255) := null;
errorcode integer := null;
message varchar2(255) := null;
ariba_insertdate date := null;
adb_l_delivery_status char(1) := null;
begin
-- 4. This is never true, since adb_l_delivery_status is null, here
-- So, I guess your trigger never does anything, so in a sense it works
if (adb_l_delivery_status = 'N')
then
-- 5. This select will raise too_many_rows, when there is more than one record in po_response.
-- 6. It seems you will have a problem with mutating table

-- 8. The select is confusing, since variables are named equally to columns
-- 9. You select constants, why not just assign them right away

Kishore1. As you are taking service, your database is oracle database, you might have created a user/schema .
2. When you are creating FDM application and that too providing details of database , there is a button 'options',which has more options like tablespace..etc.
3. If you have created a schema and it has a specific table space ,then you need to provide these details also.else, while creating a user, if you have selected everything as default, then no need to go to 'options'.
Thankx
Nick
