Error when creating data base using Database Configuration Assistant

Hi!
I have installed Oracle 9i release 2 in Windows Xp, I want to create a db from the Database Configuration Assistant but they appear the following errors:
ORA 01034
ORA 01501
ORA1109
I press the button to ignore but they continue appearing.. when the process arrives the 12% they stopped.... When i installed the Oracle appeared a pair of errors but when i press the Ignore button the process continued and finish satisfactorily....
Any Suggestion???

Oracle error description
ORA-01034 ORACLE not available
Cause: Oracle was not started.
Possible causes include the following:
1) The SGA requires more space than was allocated for it.
2) The operating-system variable pointing to the instance is improperly defined.
Action: Refer to accompanying messages for possible causes and correct the problem mentioned in the other messages. If Oracle has been initialized, then on some operating systems, verify that Oracle was linked correctly. See the platform-specific Oracle documentation.

Ensure that service is registered in the listener.ora file, reload the listener and ensure that service is an entry of the tnsnames.ora file.

Error while creating data source using Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g

Hi,
I have deployed my web application developed on OC4J 9.0.4 stand alone (Win2K) to an integrated OC4J version(Solaris) using Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g.
However, I get an error when I try to create a data source.
The data source I want to create would have the following parameters (as seen in data-sources.xml on the stand alone version):

Could somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong ?
I tried to manually edit the data-sources.xml file but the data source didn't show up on the Enterprise Manager.
I'm using a new OC4J instance (on the Solaris machine) for my applications. Is the data source error related to this?

I noticed that there is a default datasouce on the EM with the following parameters:

(500) Internal Server Error when create storage table use development account

Yesterday, our team suddenly cannot use storage emulator all, it always said 'can not create database' when start the emulator. Finally, we found a issue may affect this, we delete the WAStorageEmulatorDb30.mdf file in C:\Users\[User], and create manully
in localdb, and so we can start the storage emulator later.
But we still can not use it, since it always throw exception when creating Tables/Blobs/Queues, the exception like this:

Any ideas of this? We still don't know what caused this whole trouble from yesterday, is it possible affect the storage emulator just by code? We were coding, not configuring anything. Strange.

I have tried it before, but not works.
Finally, I solved this issue by delete LocalDB instance, uninstall storage emulator and install LocalDB instance / storage emulator again, it works now. Quite strange.

Error when creating Oracle12c PDB using DBCA response file in silent mode

I am getting an Oracle dbca NullPointerException when trying to create a PDB (Pluggable Database) usingdbca response file in silent mode.
I have a Oracle 12c CDB up and running, listener is also up, $ORACLE_HOME and $ORACLE_SID are also set correctly.
After database install and creating CDB using response files, I am now trying to create a PDB using dbca response file. Contents of dbca.rsp -

My environment need installation using response files only. I had used a dbca response file with "createDatabase" option for CDB and it worked fine. Error is observed only when I run it with OPERATION_TYPE as "createPluggableDatabase".
There is an option to create PDBs along with CDB creation when OPERATION_TYPE is "createDatabase". But Oracle does not give flexibility to name PDBs in this option. If I ask Oracle to create 3 PDBs, it will name them itself like PDB01, PDB02, PDB03 and so on. This doesn't work in my deployment because of applications compile time dependencies on specific PDB names.

Yes, I am pointing to correct response file. I have two of these. One for "createDatabase" and another one for "createPluggableDatabase".
While the first one works absolutely fine, the one which creates PDBs always gives error.
I tried renaming the response file like dbca_dev.rsp for PDB install but same error message. I read in another forum that rename dbca.rsp is not a good idea.
So I kept it as dbca.rsp but built it using PDB template.
When I try after removing -silent, it tries to launch a UI installer. Since I am in Amazon AWS platform, my instance is CentOS based which doesn't support Xwindows display.
I am stuck with -silent install only. When I try with -progressOnly, I get exactly same error.
Also tried removing some parameters but still get exact same error message.
Tried same trick with "createDatabase" response file, now I see parameters missing error message.
It seems like Oracle doesn't like response file install for "createPluggableDatabase".

Error when saving data basis

I am on an implementation project. I copied 0BCS_C11 cube and modified the characteristics to my requirements the data stream generation is successful but when i save the data basis the system gives me the following error.

Getting Error when creating Data Model off OBIEE Analysis

Our BI Publisher is integrated with OBIEE. I am developing BI Publisher report from existing obiee analysis. I am getting error when selecting existing analysis for data Set. Following error gets appear when pressing ok after selecting BI analysis
oracle.xdo.XDOException: oracle.xdo.XDOException: oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException: '=' missing in attribute.
I have done some debugging and it seems error is appearing due to presence of dimensional hierarchy in the analysis. If I remove dimensional hierarchy column from the analysis, this error goes away and I am able to save data model and gather sample XML.
Any idea how to handle dimensional hierarchy column in BI Publisher data set?

“Sorry, this is not supported. If the BIEE Analysis has hierarchy columns then BIP cannot use it as a datasource.”

Error when creating data model - Internal Server Error

When trying to create a new Data Model in BI Publisher (11.1.1), we are getting a “Internal Server Error” message and the page to create data models wont display. We are able to login to BIP with any user, but we cant do anything else… (seems due to a null pointer exception, as shown in this message):

Error when creating sales order using BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2

I am using BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 for creating the Sales order. But I have a problem when Iu2019m trying to create configuration. I think that parameter order_items_in-material should be generated before calling BAPI described above. I try to use order_items_in-mat_entrd, but BAPI return error message id = V1, number = 320 (No item category available (Table T184 ZAPC TEXT )).

Error when save date in SQL database

I try to save a date in to a sql database, but when I run my program I get following error:

Hi Richard,
in your application, you atempt to insert a java.sql.Date value into a DATE column, which has non-zero time-components. Open SQL rejects such an atempt.
Please allow me to quote from the OSS message (452727 2004), which Detlev refers to in his quote:

about one year ago, we had a very lengthy discussion on this issue - not only internally at SAP but also with Jonathan Bruce, the specification lead for JBDC at Sun.
We have the following dillema:
The javadoc of the constructor java.sql.Date(long) states:
"If the given milliseconds value contains time information, the driver will set the time components to the time in the default time zone (the time zone of the Java virtual machine running the application) that corresponds to zero GMT."
With Jonathan Bruce, we tried to clarify when this normalization should take place.
1) Source code inspection shows that it is not the class java.sql.Date the performs the normalization.
2) The Javadoc states that the JDBC driver should perform the
normalization. If it is the driver, more open questions arrise:
a) When shall the normalization be performed?
 - if a setDate method is invoked?
 - only for INSERT and update statements or also for all other parameters?
 - shall the getDate method perform the normalization?
 - what about set/getObject?
 - the java Docs of set/getDate don't tell anything about normalization.
 - according to which time zone shall the value be normalized?
 - UTC
 - vm time zone?
 - database time zone?
3) If an automatic normalization is performed, data will be modified upon insertion (or extraction) from the database. This means that we cannot quarantee if we insert and Date object retrieve it again that the two objects will be equal.
In the discussion with Jonathan, we couldn't clarify the issue. However, Jonathan promised that the JDK should be modified in such a way that the JDK is responsible for the normalization. (So far such a change has not been done).
In order to be on the safe side, SAP chose that Open SQL should reject any Date values that are not normalized. This is what we have
implemented and documented. I agree, that in this repect, Open SQL is stricter than the JDBC standard demands.
To help the application with the task to normalize a Date (and Time) object, we offer the helper class
com.sap.sql.DateTimeNormalizer which you find in opensql.jar.
To come to a conclusion, the bevavoir you observed is from our side not a bug of Open SQL but a feature. Please use DateTimeNormalizer to normalize Date objects appropriately.

Financial Reporting Error when creating grid/connecting to database

Hi,
This is new installation of EMP 11.1.1.2 and we are having issues with FR studio. We can open the studio and create a new report, but when trying to insert a grid we get following error:
"DatasourceIDLogin.LoadDatasourceNames Error: -2147467259 Error Loading DatasourceList to Repository" from which I cannot get out, I have to shut down FR Studio.
The only entry in the host file on the client machine I have is for localhost. If I try to add FR server host I get following error:
"You are not authorized to use this functionality. Contact your administrator"
Any help i.e. if I need to perform any configuration tasks on the client machine, changes in host files, changes on servers, etc will be very appreciated.

Does this prob occur in specific environment or all the three?
You need to make sure that your print server,web server and report server are configured properly.
Try to ping each of them and if still the problem persists make an entry in your host file of these servers with their complete names.

I am creating a data source (RSo2) from Extraction from view, using the Table KONP , then i getting an error saying that

You have to include reference fields also in the extract structure.

BI Publisher throwing error when creating data model from Oracle BI Answers

I'm having issues creating BI Publisher Datamodel using BI EE as a source. When i select the answer and put the inforamtion needed and hit OK ....it's start doing soehting and then it get there ....
In the logs:
It is weird that the Logs is having a message saying that path was not found "/users/mpoler/Data Model without Title.xmd"/_datamodel.xmd
Any clue on what is going on?

Can you try using a different account to run this report, if possible use someone from a different Application role.
The last Time I saw something similar was when the integration between BIP and Analysis was done incorrectly and a few roles were missed.

Error when creating table in cloudscape database

Hi, all:
I installed j2sdk1.4.0, j2sdkee1.3.1 on windows XP. I am able to start j2ee, cloudscape and deploy without error. I try to follow the J2EE tutorial to setting up the database, I go to the j2eetutorial/examples directory and type "ant create-savingsaccount-table", I got error "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: COM/cloudscape/tools/ij".
Following are the environment variables:
JAVA_HOME C:\j2sdk1.4.0
J2EE_HOME C:\j2sdkee1.3.1

cloudscape is from the j2ee1.3.1 bundle. does anyone know how to get around this?

Namespace not found error when creating data server for xml with namespace

I tried creating XML data server in ODI with namespace in xml file. I followed the below steps but could not success in creating the dataserver. however when I remove the namespace in xml file I am able to reverse engineer the xml file.
1) Create xml data server
2) select xml driver - com.sunopsis.jdbc.driver.xml.SnpsXmlDriver
