Error when executing Query with user date settings = mm/dd/yyyy

Hi all,
I created a remote cube with datasource = TCURR table with proper conversion of the date etc.
The query on top of this remote cube works fine if my user date settings is set to dd.mm.yyyy
But when a user in USA, with user date settings = mm/dd/yyyy, executes the same query, they get a message
SYST: Date 31/05/2006 not expected.
Message no. FGV004
The input variable on the Query is on 0CALMONTH.
This message appears immaterial of what calmonth input I give.
has anyone encountered this error? if yes, what could be the solution please?
thanks
Emmanuel

When we are trying to execute report in BO INFOVIEW on production  system, we are facing following error (After 10 mins of execution).
    ========================================================================================
    Windows Internet Explorer
    Stop running this script?
As script on this page is causing Internet Explorere to tun slowly.
If it continues to run, your computer might become
    unresponsive.
    ========================================================================================
Please note: We are getting data via Crytal report. Only, execution in infoview is giving error.
If we are executing same report with less data(E.g a days data) then we are getting output in Infoview.
However, when we execute report with more data (6 months data) then we are getting attached error after 10 min of execution time.
    Helpfull reply will be awarded.

If it is indeed a server timeout issue, the following document might be usefull: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/index?rid=/library/uuid/606e9338-bf3e-2b10-b7ab-ce76a7e34432
It's about Troubleshooting Time-outs in BusinessObjects Enterprise XI, but  a lot is still applicable.
    Hope this helps...

  • Error when executing query with variables in excel

When I execute a query in excel, it gives some errors if it has some variables (From Date, To Date etc):
Error Specify a value for variable From Date
Error Specify a value for variable To Date
I need to execute the query and then save a view. I want to do this in excel as I am not able to save a view if I execute in a web browser.

    Hi Sanjeev.
Of course Excel supports input of variable values.
What version of BW/BI both backend and frontend are you using?
Please check if you can execute the query in TA RSRT. You could try to generate the query again here.
    Hope it helps.

  • Error in flatfile load - date not compliant with user date settings

    Hi,
I want to load a flatfile into BI 2004s.
so i created a flatfile datasrource, transformation etcetc.. all fine so far.
the file contains 2 dates in format YYYYMMDD and are loaded in DATS infoobjects (also yyyymmdd).
but when i load the data into the PSA it immediatly dumps with error message "19771009 does not match the user-dependent date format --> long text"
the long text sais 19771009 does not correspond to the date format that is assigned to the current user BIWREMOTE. which is correct.. cos there date is DD-MM-YYYY
when i change the date format in the user settings to YYYY-MM-DD it works fine...... in the forground. In the background, whatever i do, it dumps with this errormessage.
    so i have 2 questions:
since when is, while loading to the PSA, the date format linked&checked with the date format in the user setting? i cannot recall ever having this issue.
    did anyone encounter this problems.
    grtz
    rogier

    Hi ,Ronald Silberst,R. Poelmann,
I am facing similar kind of problem, Could u please tell me how you overcome this problem. How to set and adding the RSDAT convesion routine into the datasource definition.
Appreciate your help . Can any one have some idea please share.

  • Internet Explorer Script Error when running report with user-entered params

We are using Crystal Reports Version 11.0.0.1282.  We have multiple copies each installed on a separate computer.  We have a relatively simple report with a prompt for 2 values (parameters) to be selected or input by the users.  The desktop is either Windows XP SP3 or Windows Server 2003 SP2  On all the XP/SP3 computers, this report works as expected.  On the exception computer, the Windows Server2003 Desktop, we see the prompting screen with place holders for graphics instead of the buttons.  When we attempt to select a value for the parameter by keying in the value and clicking on the OK link (no button), we see message box titled "Internet Explorer Script Error" with text: An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: xxx (varies depending on param chosen)
    char 1
    error: Object expected
    url: file:///c:/doc...../temp/1/prompting1.html
    ===============================
Searhing around the forum and using Google, I found a suggestion to be copying the "prompting" folder and dll from a known working system - tried this, it didn't work.
So. I still need a solution. Any other suggestions??

If I create the report without asking for user-entered params, it works.
    >> Can you please specify the browser and the tool to display the report you are using? Generally the

The active browser on the computer is IE7 - 7.0.5730.13
I am using the installed crystal reports 11 program to run the report.  I open the report in CR by going to File/Open and selecting the report. Then I get prompted for my ms sql login info, which I enter.  Then I see the "Enter Values" window with my data entry fields; but I don't see the nice formatting and buttons which I see when I run this from the other computers; I see only the placeholders.  I select or enter data and click on the "OK" link.  Then the message box pops up.  The message box pops up when I click on any of the links or on the "x" in the upper right.  Mesage box is explicit - Intenet Explorer Script Error, etc., as I described in my original post.

  • Error when executing query

    Hi,
I have a report created using the infoset as an infoprovider. There are multiple reports created with this infoprovider. Few of them are working fine and few of them are not. The error for such erroneous reports are as below. Recently we upgraded BW to EHP1 and the problem has occurred since the upgrade. The error is
EError reading the data of InfoProvider ZPA_IS01
EIllegal selection by InfoObject from outer join table
EErrors occurred during parallel processing of query 1, RC: 3
EError while reading data; navigation is possible
    I>> Row: 54 Inc: WRITE_MESSAGES Prog: CL_RSDR_AT_QUERY
I have checked the query. It is fine. I compared the query with that of Production and even that is fine.
This issue is in the development and test environments.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Albina

    Hi,
Recently we went for BW upgradatiaon (BI7.0) , the error you are facing could be due to the following issue,
If infoobjects are used in infoset as infoprovider ( in BW3.5) after upgrade this infoobjects will not be selected automatically as infoproviders. So it will not be available for Infoset.
Please check whether any infoobjects are used as infoprovider, if so manually change them as infoprovider ( In BI7) and activate.
Since, few reports are working on the infoset , this could be those reports are not using the fields from the infoobjects. so it is working it seems.
Please check and let me know.
    Thanks,
    V.Senthil

    left outer join OWHS T4 on T4.[WhsName] = a.[U_Prj]

    a.U_WONo = '[%0]'
In this code, when the variable is assigned to field U_WONo, then I get an error
Must Specify A Table To Select From. Statement 'Service Contractors' (OCTR) (s)  could nto be prepared.
But when the values for variables are hard coded, the query executes.
I have been working on it from long time, but same error exists. Could anybody help resolve the same...
    I am using SAP B1 2007 B, patch level 15.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards
    Rohan

The error messages may be misleading. With complicated queries with parameter request I frequently saw references to service contract (or something other).
Sometimes SBO does not manage correctly variables in complicated queries and there is a note about the workaround to solve the problem:[Note730960|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=730960]

  • Error when executing query  CL_RSR_RRK0_ATTR_C

    Hi Gurus,
I activated the query '0CCA_C11_Q0002' from BI content. When i execute the query i am getting the error message: 'System error in program CL_RSR_RRK0_ATTR_C and form CHECKALVL-01- (see long text)'.
I execute the same in RSRT1 with 'ABAP Web' , i got the same error message.
But when i click on "Genarate Report' tab i got "Text variable 0T_FPERY in "Variance &0T_FPERY&" cannot be replaced - value not found".
Can any one help me to solve the problem.

    Thanks

Please refer the note :  1091018
A query terminates with message BRAIN 299: "System error in program CL_RSR_RRK0_ATTR_C and form SELTO_SELDR_14-02-".
    Reason and Prerequisites
This problem is caused by a program error.
The error occurs if a query does not contain any key figures, but a non-cumulative key figure has to be read becasue of the "Virtual Characteristics and Key Figures" user exit.
    Solution
After you implement the corrections, you must regenerate the affected queries.
    SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI
Import Support Package 16 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI (BI Patch 16 or SAPKW70016) into your BI system. The Support Package is available when Note 1074388 "SAPBINews BI7.0 Support Package 16", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
In urgent cases, you can implement the correction instructions as an advance correction.
You must first read Note 875986, which provides information about transaction SNOTE.
To provide information in advance, the notes mentioned above may already be available before the Support Package is released. In this case, the short text of the note still contains the words "Preliminary version".

  • Error when executing query its urgent

    hi,
when iam executing my query in query designer through web morning i got the result in web.
but when iam executing the same query in wad it is throughing an error like (System error in program SAPLRRK0 and form GET_FIELD_POSITION-01-))
now again i check that one in querydesigner again it is showing the same error in querydesigner also
    vijay

    Hi,
Refer Note 931975 - Problems when you execute a query
    Symptom
At runtime, a query contains a generated ABAP program and a data structure, which is stored in the shared buffer. Due to the gap described here, the version of the ABAP program may not correspond to the version of the data structure.
This causes several terminations when you execute this query:
    X299 Brain SAPLRRK0; Form GET_FIELD_POSITION-01-,
    X299 Brain SAPLRRK0; Form APPEND_KHANDLE_1-02-,
ASSIGN COMPONENT L_FIELDNAME OF STRUCTURE C_SX_GVAR, and others.
    Other terms
    RSIX, SX_REPORT,
    Reason and Prerequisites
The error can occur if one person changes a query and another person simultaneously executes the query. A query may also be changed implicitly if one of the objects used in the query is changed in another query.
    Solution
The attached corrections apply only to Releases 3.X. An advance correction cannot be provided for NetWeaver 2004s.
Before you implement the attached correction (in 3.X), you must change the two following method interfaces. Otherwise syntax errors occur in the CL_RSR_REPORT_RSIX class and the RRI0 function group when you implement the corrections.
    1. In Transaction SE24: Change the MODIFY method of the CL_RSR_REPORT_RSIX class as follows:
Insert the I_S_RKB1D import parameter with the type RSR_S_RKB1D.
    2. In Transaction SE24: Change the READ_SX_REPORT method of the CL_RSR_REPORT_RSIX class.
Delete all existing import parameters (that is, I_GENUNIID, I_DVERS, I_IDVERS and I_GENTIME) and insert the I_S_RKB1D import parameter with the type RSR_S_RKB1D.
After you implement the corrections, you must delete the incorrect information in the shared buffer. To do this, enter '/$SYNC' in the command field in every application server. Alternatively, you can also call RSRT -> Environment -> Generate Queries. As a result, all queries are regenerated but all OLAP caches are rejected.
    BW 3.0B
Import Support Package 31 for 3.0B (BW 3. 0B Patch 31 or SAPKW30B31) into your BW system. The Support Package is available when Note 0872272 "SAPBWNews BW 3.0B Support Package 31", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
    BW 3.10 Content
Import Support Package 25 for 3.10 (BW 3. 10 Patch 25 or SAPKW31025) into your BW system. The Support Package is available when Note 0872274 "SAPBWNews BW 3.1 Content Support Package 25", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
    BW 3.50
Import Support Package 17 for 3.5 (BW 3. 50 Patch 17 or SAPKW35017) into your BW system. The Support Package is available when Note 0872277 "SAPBWNews BW Support Package 17 NetWeaver'04 Stack 17", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
    SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI
Import Support Package 08 for SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI (BI Patch 08 or SAPKW70008) into your BI system. The Support Package is available when Note 0872280 "SAPBINews BI 7.0 Support Package 08", which describes this Support Package in more detail, has been released for customers.
In urgent cases, you can use the correction instructions.
To provide information in advance, the notes mentioned above may be released before the Support Package is available. In this case, however, the short text of the notes still contains the words "preliminary version".
    Thanks

  • Java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00933: error when  executing query

    Hello,
I am trying to execute the following query from a jsp page.
    String sqlUpdate ="UPDATE table_name SET name ='"+name+"', description='"+description+"', proj_link='" projlink"', active='" active"',sort_order='" order"',image='" image"',category='" category"', technology='" technology "' WHERE id="+id+" ";
    stmt.executeQuery(sqlUpdate);
I get the follwoing error java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
When I omit "description" from the query it executes fine. But when I place it back into the query I get the above error. The table is in Oracle database and the datatype of description id varchar2(4000). I declared all the variables used in the query, I then assigned values caught from the form and then am trying to update the form varibles in the table.
    Thanks,

    Hello,
I am trying to execute the following query from a jsp page. There's a big part of your problem. You shouldn't be doing database stuff in JSPs. If you must, you should be using JSTL and its <sql> tags.
    String sqlUpdate ="UPDATE table_name SET name ='"+name+"', description='"+description+"', proj_link='" projlink"', active='" active"',sort_order='" order"',image='" image"',category='" category"', technology='" technology "' WHERE id="+id+" ";Not using PreparedStatement here is just a silly noob error.

PreparedStatement will eliminate that problem.
