Error when intializing PXI-2567 Hardware

I get an error when initializing my hardware(PXI-2567). The error is related to the source name. When I input the source name same as that found in the Measurment Explorer, which is in this case PXI4::11::INST, I get an error that the source does not exist. However, it does work with no errors if I input the source name as PXI1Slot17. How can I use the name PXI4::11::INST instead with out errors ?

You cannot use the PXI4::11::INSTR resource descriptor because using it opens a VISA session to the instrument. Using this initialization technique only allows you access to Traditional DAQ functionality. The Independent Topology of the PXI-2567 needs functionality beyond that provided by Traditional DAQ, and therefore initialization requires the use of the DAQmx resource descriptor (PXI1Slot17). May I ask why you want to use PXI4::11::INSTR as the resource descriptor? There may be another workaround for what you are attempting to accomplish.

Go to Edit Menu/Preferences/Audio Hardware and ASIO tab and click on it.
Under the Input tab, make sure that you have your microphone selected.

Hardware Error When Burning a CD or DVD

I keep getting the following error when I try to burn a CD or DVD via my internal burner....
The drive reported an error:
Sense Key = HARDWARE ERROR
Sense Code = 0x09, 0x02
FOCUS SERVO FAILURE
Using Toast 6 Titanium 6.0.7
Any suggestions.....?

You can buy and install the hard drive you want to. However, on Late 2009 and newer iMacs the temperature sensor is in the hard drive, so if you replace it with a hard drive that has not got a temperature sensor you will have serious fan problems.

I downloaded OS Mountain Lion 10.8... and when I was getting ready to install I get "This disk has S.M.A.R.T. errors. This disk has a hardware problem that can't be repaired. I have read some of the same comments below. Why?

I saw several other questions below of people having the same or similar problems. Does this mean that my hard drive is about to crash? I plan to head to the place I purchased and have it checked out. I backed up my data a couple of days ago. Any comments?

Yes, S.M.A.R.T. is a built-in diagnostic on the hard drive, and it is reporting a problem that may cause it to fail.
You can see the same status in Disk Utility, and possibly get more info. Run Disk Utility and select the DRIVE in the sidebar. Be sure to select the DRIVE and not the volume indented below it. At the bottom of the window, there is a field for S.M.A.R.T. Status. If there is no problem, it should say Verified.
You can also do a Get Info on the drive (File -> Get Info) in Disk Utility, and the Info window provides more detailed information (toward the bottom) about what is being checked.

PXI-2567 fuse

I regularly blow the 5V fuse on my PXI-2567 boards (I only use the 5V supply). The card is wired through a Virginia Panel G12 interface to a custom load board. The fuse sometimes blows by simply changing test fixtures. The one time I paid close attention, the fuse was fine while I disabled and removed the current fixture, but then blew when I connected a new fixture to the interface. The fuse never blows during test operation so it's not an over current problem. I have verified that all relays are disabled when I change fixtures. One possibility is there is a current spike when I connect the new fixture, but it would have to be a lot of static buildup to cause this. (I am in nice dry Colorado.) Has anyone had experience with this and is there a recommended decoupling scheme to prevent the current spike? How about using fuses that are not slow blow? Any other ideas of why the fuse is blowing?

So you are using a PXI-2567 that is
connected to a Virginia Panels G12. I’m assuming the relays the 2567 is
controlling are in the test fixture. I’d be happy to help you narrow this problem
down. I have some questions about your test setup that may help us figure out
what is causing the fuse to blow.
1.
What
relays are you using with the 2567?
2.
Are
the 2567 all channels open every time you switch test fixtures?
3.
Do
you have any kind of capacitive load on the 5 volt line in your test fixtures?
If you do, this could cause a current spike on connection that is blowing the
fuse. A capacitive load will draw a lot of current from a dc source until the
load is charged. This could also be why the fuse blows on connection of a new
test fixture and doesn’t blow when you remove a test fixture. If a specific
test fixture is not blowing the fuse every time it may be that the initial
current draw is just enough to sometimes blow the fuse but not always.
4.
Is
there any fixture that has never blown the fuse? If so does is that fixture’s
relays wired differently than the multiple fixtures that have blown fuses?
Any additional information you can give to
help narrow down the cause of the problem will be helpful.

Program error when try to use 3D repousse in Photoshop CS5 extended?

Please help!!!! Unable to use 3D repousse Photoshop CS5 Extended (my system info is described below)
I tried almost everything that is available in Adobe library help, also re-installed programs as requested by Adobe support (suspected to get rid of me), it did not solve the problem.
I used to have 3D capabilities, and also crop tool worked well before (now it changes all layers when using crop even in background). My PC is same, nor I downloaded plugins or changed video cards (these things are too advanced for me!), also restored preferences many times.
My system makes automatic updates, reviewed graphics and adobe as recommended.
OpenGL settings is odd …only can access basic, other modes are not highlighted (normal or advanced).
ERRORS (for 3D Text)
1-“Your 3D scene now exceeds the limits of lights and/or textures for the video card’s hardware-accelerated 3D rendering. As long as the limits are exceeded, 3D rendering will be done in software only, and some features (e.g Repousse)will be disabled.”
2- “Your video card does not meet the requirements for hardware-accelerated 3D rendering. All 3D will be rendered with software only “
3-“ Could no complete the text layer command because of a program error”

thank you for replying...but it seems an easy answer again like one given by support....I had photoshop working perfectly before with same video card, I think in one project I clicked something in program (photoshop)that was not ready to correct it by itself... It should be available for the program to give warning several times to the user, I do not know what made Photoshop to disable OpenGL settings, and not be able to reverse action!!!!! How do I change a GPU sniffer? I an not a tech, all these things I just learned reading....had spent hundreds of hours....really dissapointed of Adobe and its support....it is not fair to sell an expensive program without support, it seems to me that I know now more than a live customer support.

Error when starting a converted VM (from vmware server edition)

My first iBook suffered from persistent KPs on start up. Eventually I resolved the issue by cleaning the cache files. There are a number of cheap/free share ware apps. My favourite is Tiger (or Leopard) Cache Cleaner from here: http://www.northernsoftworks.com/

Why do I get 'ResolveManifestFiles task failed' error when building a WPF app that references WinRT API?

I am working on a WPF app that I want to create for Windows 8. I followed steps mentioned in
Hansleman's blog to make some manual modifications using WinRT functions in a WPF app. Everything worked well, until I tried to publish the app. When I clicked on publishing the app I got error "The 'ResolveManifestFiles' task failed unexpectedly.
System.ArgumentException: Value does not fall within the expected range."
Afterwards, it will produce the same error when attempting a simple solution build.
Even if you create a simple WPF project and add the references mentioned in blog to access WinRT functions and publish, this issue can be reproduced.
I think it would be common scenario to call WinRT functions from WPF and someone should have done it. Is anyone aware what should be done to fix this issue?

I am having the same problems and came across this article while researching a workaround.
It is surprising more people aren’t talking about this.
Here are the steps to reproduce the problem; Using Visual Studio Express 2012 (x64) create a new VB Windows Forms Application.
Unload the project and edit the [ProjName].vbproj in the solution explorer.
Add <TargetPlatformVersion>8.0</TargetPlatformVersion> to the <PropertyGroup>.
Save and reload the project. In Add Resource/Reference Manager add the Windows.minmd found under Windows/Core.
This WinRT/Desktop solution will run as expected. Now try to Publish this solution.
It will FAIL with the following ERROR; “The ResolveManifestFiles task failed unexpectedly, Value does not fall within the expected range.”
Attempting to build or run the solution again now will fail with the same Error.
The only way to build the project now is to remove the “Enable ClickOnce security settings” option under the project properties Security settings.
Occasionally using this trick, the solution will build but not run.
When that happens jiggle around with Debug/Release Solution Configurations and the Any CPU/x64 Solution Platforms then rebuild and try the run again.
This fussing around will get you through development however any attempt to publish with restore the ClickOnce security setting and create the previous Error.
The first question here is how do you publish a WinRT app for the desktop with VS2012 Express.
Then secondly, if that is not possible can we publish this Express solution with a 3rd party deployment tool like InstallShield Limited Edition or the WIX Toolset.
Neither however seems functional in a VS Express environment.
Then thirdly, are there ways to access hardware sensor devices from a desktop solution without resorting to the WinRT API.
Any ideas or new research directions would be greatly appreciated.

Error when running the LabVIEW program

I'm newbie in LabVIEW....I have a problem when i'm running the LabVIEW program...i want to analyse data using the LabVIEW through the real experiment....
My problem is, there is an Error when i try to start the program...This Error forced me to restart the program several times until it can run.......By the way, i'm using Picoscopes 3206 to connect the LabVIEW program in PC with the real experiment.....

You have to try to isolate the problem...
Use 'Diagram disable' or 'Case' structure to run special part of code or try write a specific code to access and manage your equipment.
Several questions could help:
- Are you up to date with your hardware driver?
- Do you call external ressources (ex: dll)? perhaps with instability
- Do you properly close connection with your equipment after using?
- With your offline mode, do you load all the code, including hardware driver or do you use a special method without no loading the specific code?
- When you are able to run after many tries, is the program stable? Can you re-start it without exiting LabVIEW?

What is the 0x80070570 error when installing Win7 or Win8 or Win 8.1 on a clean SSD/HDD ?!

My computer was working perfectly with Win7 for about 2years until I formatted on monday to clean a little bit my drives ... Since then I'm unable to install windows again. I have the 0x80070570 error.
The complete error message is:
Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure that all files required for installation are available and restart the installation. Error code:0x80070570.
What is the 0x80070570 error when installing Win7 or Win8 or Win 8.1 on a clean SSD/HDD ?! These versions are full from MSDN.
What I did already:
check my RAM (16go gskill)
remove unnecessary hard drives
replace my "old" SSD with a clean new one
remove my sound cards
remove the mouse and use only keyboard
reset the BIOS
check every LED on the motherboard (asus sabertooth z77) and there is no problem
What are the problems?

Hi,
If all images cannot be installed, we have a reason to suspect the hardware cause.
If you use two memory slots to get 16G RAM, I suggest you test with just one (8G) to check the result.

Same thing is happening to me. Adobe has not responded to anyone about this error. It appears that Abobe XI is not compatible with IE 11. I do not get this error when I use Chrome or Firefox. Only IE 11 does this. I have tried clearing cache and cookies.

Error message is FAILED TO GET DISPATCH FROM IBRWSR2. Then when you click on it the next error message says: PHTML IS NULL. You have to click this error message twice and then the PDF finally loads. Happened every time

As a last resort I will try uninstalling the Adobe Reader XI and install Adobe Reader 10 instead. It seems to work ok. But when I try to install version 10 the Adobe site tries to install XI. Any ideas?

How to use niSwitch_InitWithTopology with PXI-2567 relais card

I'm trying to get the NI Visual Basic example niSwitchControllingAnIndividualRelay.vbp working with a PXI-2567 relais card.
I doesn't seem to get my ResourceName and Topology (the first two parameters of the niSwitch_InitWithTopology function) right (the example program creates the errors 1074130544 "This session is not valid" and 1074135030 "Failure loading driver module").
Where can I find the right ResourceName and Topology for the PXI-2567 (self test all right) to fill in these two parameters ?

Hello AlessioD,
the relay card PXI-2567 stopped "working" again (I don't know why). So I checked the 'Tools' - 'Select switch card' from the Measurement and Automation Explorer with as result the error "Failure loading driver module" on 'OK'.
Seems that the driver module of this PXI-2567 can't be loaded. NI-switch 32.dll gives the same error report from the Visual Basic sample program.
What can be the problem and how to fix it ?

Error when trying to change the look of a site collection

Hello everyone!
I have a single-server on-premise installation of SharePoint 2013 and I noticed that you can change the way fonts, colors etc. are used on a site collection by selecting "Change the look" from the site settings. However when I browse the page I
get an empty page with the spinner on the right just going in circles.
The browser log displays an error from _layouts/15/designgallery.js with this message:
SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character
The file is minified so unfortunately it does not tell me much more. However I also noticed a call to the webservice at /_layouts/15/designdata.ashx?hashcode=-1638098219&lcid=1033. Although this call returned a http 200 response the page turned out to
be the "Sorry, something went wrong"-page with a correlation id as well. Looking up the correlation id in the trace log I found this unexpected error

Has anyone encountered this error before or knows what the issue might be? I suspect that this error prevents me from changing the look of the site collection.

According to your post, my understanding is that the “Change the look” page displayed blank, and it still shown working on it.
This issue is always related to system requirenment. Did your environment fit for the hardware and software requirements for SharePoint ?
You can check with the following article:

Did the issue occur in other site collection or web application?
You can refresh the page or reopen the page to check whether it loading.
Did you find any error or unexpected occurred in the ULS log or event log?
For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log is at
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS
