In above query what is it_vbrp1-vbeln? if it is internal table you are missing some thing like For all entries in it_vbrp1.Check it once.

My name is arun. I am having trouble resolving the following error. I tried to google, search oracle forum but no avail. I would really appreciate some help? I hope someone point me to the right direction with this problem. Thank you.
Scenario :
I have done the following :
1. Created the external directories using a user account(KDEV199). However by default its owned by SYS user.
2. Created the table necessary for selection. This was done by user account(KDEV199)
3. I have granted the folder privileges owned by oinstall:oracle where the 2 physical files exists. Thus all the files is owned by oracle. This was done at OS layer.
4. I have created 2 files necessary to extract data & read in oracle. This was done at OS layer.
The problem is that i have the following when i try to select the table :

ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using Data Services

Hello,
we are facing ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using BO Data services
(Oracle 10g database, BODS Xi 3.2 SP3)
Test Job performs
1- truncate table
2- load table (tested in standard and bulk load modes)
Scenario when issue happens is:
1- Run loading Job
2- Job end in error for any Oracle data base error
3- When re-running the same Job, Job fails with following error
ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified
It seems after first failure, Oracle session for loading the table stays active and locks the table.
To be able to rerun the Job, we are forced need to kill Oracle session manually to be able to run the Job again.
Expected behaviour would be : on error rollback modifications made on table and BODS stops Oracle session in a clean way.
Can somebody tell me / or point me to any BODS best practice about Oracle error handling to prevent such case?

the ora-0054 can occure depending how the job failed before. If this occures you will need the DBA to release the lock on the table in question

AL_Engine.exe on The server it creates the Lock. Need to Kill Them. Or stop it..

There are a few different scenarios that I can think of where this might come up that all involve what might resulting in parallel (concurrent)processes:
Loading packets in parallel - that is there are X number of processes loading packets concurrently. This could be set in your IMG settings system wide or in the InfoPackage for just this datasource.   You seem to indicate that you don't have this.
Database parallel processing - RSAMDIN - ORA_PARALLEL_DEGREE ( there was a different RSADMIN parm for older versions - forget what SP the change came with).
You have multiple InfoPackages for the datasource, each loading what should be a different range of data, and they run atthe same time.
You could be loading from two different datasources to the ODS at the same time.
If any of these are true, I would look at bumping the INITRANS setting up. Your DBA will probably need to do this for table and its indices. There is a Note - 831234 that allows you to create a parameter in RSADMIN that will specify a INITRANS value (e.g. 20) rather than using the default. The ODS would need to be activated to pick this new setting up for the table to be altered.
You could also look at the Processing settings for the InfoPackage and change to PSA first, then target to see if that helps.
Or if you are loading from two different datasources at the same time, you might adjust your schedule so that doesn't happen.

Internal error when accessing a table -

Hi,
The program which is running as background was running for last 1 year, last two days the RFC call in the program is dumping.
In DUMP its showing Internal error when accessing a table
Error : DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
I checed the size of the table its quite huge for the application.
So there is no issue with table.
Please advise what causes these sort of error.
System is ECC 6.0
With SQL server 8.0

SM58 : Internal error when accessing a table

Hi there,
We have just upgraded from R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.0. After the upgarde we face many "Internal error when accessing a table" in sm58. Is there any table mapping mismatched happened during unicode conversions? How to check the details? Most of the errors are SWW_WI_EXECUTE_INTERNAL_RFC, SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT_IBF and etc which are workflow modules.

If you searched the notes, as Dan proposed (and didn't find anything relevant), and the answer to the Greg's question is positive, then I would suggest regeneration data basis and ConsArea due to data model inconsistency.
If it doesn't not help - open customer message to SAP.

Error when selecting volume

Hello,
I just restarted my Maxtor external hard disk (which I use for time machine) because my Mac did not recognize it anymore.
Now it does but I get an error when selecting the volume for Time Machine. The error says:
"The file '.0011246f8842' can not be saved in the map 'Time Machine-reservekopieen'."
Does anybody have a clue what I need to do to get my Time Machine working again?

I'm not sure if that's the same message, but it sounds like a common permissions problem.
Try this: Open the Terminal app (in your Applications/Utilities folder).
In Terminal, the prompt looks like this: user-xxxxxx:~ <your name>$
(where <your name> is your short user name). It's followed by a non-blinking block cursor (unless it's been changed via Terminal > Preferences).
At the prompt, type the following exactly as shown, substituting the name of your TM drive exactly, including any spaces, between the quotes:
sudo chmod 644 /volumes/"TM drive name"/.0011246f8842
Press Return. You'll get some warnings and a request for your Administrator's password. Type it in (it won't be displayed) and press Return again.
Then try a +Back Up Now.+

Error when selecting the Report Center tab of the Issues web DB

I started a DB from the Issues web DB template. Everything worked fine when I shutdown last night, but this morning I started receiving the following error when selecting the Report Center tab.
You must specify an object for the BrowseTo to open. I have noticed that the ReportCenterDefault form no longer displays. How do I correct this?

Error when copying a table

When copying a table to a name which already exists (as a procedure) SQL-developer replies that the copy- process took place although it didn't.
You do not get the error message ORA-00955 "name already exists"

Error when selecting values in column prompt

Hi,
I have one report in OBIEE with large filter on it, it was giving error initially, but i modified filter, i'm getting results in results tab now, but when i'm selecting values in coloumn prompt, i'm getting error.
Error:
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: [nQSError: 14023] None of the fact sources for Business Unit.BU Business Unit Code are compatible with the detail filter.
Query is going through three dimension tables and one fact table. But in BMM layer, each dimension table is joined to 4 fact tables.
I'm not able to resolve this error.
Please give me any suggestions to solve this error.

OK I think this might be a dumb question but I can't figure it out:
User John has been granted SELECT privilege (directly, not through a database role) to schema FRED.table1;
User John can issue select * from FRED.table1; and it works just fine.
User John has then been granted SELECT privilege (directly, not via a database role) to schema
MARK.view1;
MARK.view1 only selects from FRED.table1. No other tables are in the view1.
Schema MARK can successfully query the views. SELECT * FROM VIEW1 returns results.
I also checked the MARK schema to ensure that it has been granted SELECT on FRED.table1 directly which it has.
Now, when logged into schema John, I try SELECT * FROM MARK.VIEW1; and I get ORA-01031 insufficient privileges error.
I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this. If John is granted SELECT ANY TABLE, it of course works but I don't want John to have that powerful priv.
To recap, John has SELECT on both MARK.VIEW1 and the table which VIEW1 selects from (FRED.TABLE1).
John can select from FRED.TABLE1 no problem but receives a privilege error even though John has SELECT on MARK.VIEW1.

Oh, Oracle EE 10.2.0.4Are you certain John has been granted select on Mark.view1 ? In order for that to work Mark would have to have been given select on Fred.table1 WITH GRANT OPTION ... otherwise the grant would fail and then John would not be able to select from the view because the grant was never successfully issued.
Here's a basic test case (which i think conforms to what you've outlined) to get it working.

How to resolve error when Loading External Table?

Iâm getting the following errors when attempting to load External Table -- I've changed the file extension from .csv to .txt to resolve ORA-29913 but error re-occurred. See syntax of External Table below.

Hi Carol-Ann,
The key issue here is
"KUP-04063: unable to open log file owb_county_timezone.log
OS error Permission denied".
Looks like you don't have sufficient system priviliges on Unix.
This is wat AskTom mentions about it:
"the directory must exist on the SERVER.
the concerned user is the "oracle software owner" as far as the OS is concerned.
oracle must have read write access to this directory
and the directory must exist on the SERVER (database server) itself."
