ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using Data Services

Hello,
we are facing ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using BO Data services
(Oracle 10g database, BODS Xi 3.2 SP3)
Test Job performs
1- truncate table
2- load table (tested in standard and bulk load modes)
Scenario when issue happens is:
1- Run loading Job
2- Job end in error for any Oracle data base error
3- When re-running the same Job, Job fails with following error
ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified
It seems after first failure, Oracle session for loading the table stays active and locks the table.
To be able to rerun the Job, we are forced need to kill Oracle session manually to be able to run the Job again.
Expected behaviour would be : on error rollback modifications made on table and BODS stops Oracle session in a clean way.
Can somebody tell me / or point me to any BODS best practice about Oracle error handling to prevent such case?

the ora-0054 can occure depending how the job failed before. If this occures you will need the DBA to release the lock on the table in question
Or
AL_Engine.exe on The server it creates the Lock. Need to Kill Them. Or stop it..
This Problem Occurs when we select The Bulkloading Option in orclae We also faced the same issue,Our admin has Killed the session. Then everything alright.

MFG_LOOKUPS 은 view로 fnd_lookup_values의 lookup_code값을 가지고 오는

Cause:      The data received is not the same as the data sent.
Action:      Attempt the transaction again. If the error is persistent, turn on tracing and reexecute the operation.

Push Data in SAP Tables using Data Services

Hi
Lets suppose that I have used Data Services 4.0 to pull data from KNA1 table , and loaded into the MDM where data cleansing , enrichment and deduplication has been done, and then MDM writes to a file.
How can Data Services then push the cleansed data back into the SAP table ( KNA1) ? [or it cannot be done due to multiple reasons ]

JBO-26030 and ORA-00054 error when updating a certain row

I have a page that saves data when you leave a cell in a table. Everything seems to work fine, but when you get to some cells the JBO-26030 error pops up and then no matter what you do you can't ever save anything on that cell. You can close everything down and reopen and change other cells, but when you go back to that cell the error message always pops up. I think it's mainly happening on the cell that is a drop down with 3 values (P, F, and NT). P is the value and key for the drop down.
Then when I go into the database through Toad I try to change the value just so see what happens and that's when I get the ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified error. This again only happens when editing that row.

This error is caused when the block property 'DML returning values' equals YES. This property was introduced as of forms 6. What does it do ? As per the on-line help of Forms, "A database update or insert action may initiate server-side triggers that cause alterations or additional changes in the data. In Release 6, when using an Oracle8 database server, Forms uses the DML Returning clause to immediately bring back any such changes. When this property is set to Yes, Forms will automatically update the client-side version of the data, and the user will not need to re-query the database to obtain the changed values". When this property is switched to yes the generated insert/update statement will contain the 'returning clause' and this clause is causing the error.
As far as I have tested, the only way at present, to get rid of this error is to set 'DML returing values' to NO. So, not to use this functionality.

Hi Carol-Ann,
The key issue here is
"KUP-04063: unable to open log file owb_county_timezone.log
OS error Permission denied".
Looks like you don't have sufficient system priviliges on Unix.
This is wat AskTom mentions about it:
"the directory must exist on the SERVER.
the concerned user is the "oracle software owner" as far as the OS is concerned.
oracle must have read write access to this directory
and the directory must exist on the SERVER (database server) itself."

Loading standard R/3 Hierarchy in BO Database Table using Data Services

i'm trying to load Cost Center Hierarchy from R/3 to BO database table using SAP BO Dataservices 4.0
i have replicated the Data Flow and Abap Data Flow explained in SAP documentatio (SAP BusinessObjects Data Services 4-0 SP1 Supplement for SAP) and http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/ReadingR3Hierarchies
but it doesn't work
i get errors like:

It appears that the structures of the two Data Transports going into the Merge Transform don't have the columns in the same order. One of the Data Transports has PARENT_DESC listed before PARENT_ID and the other Data Transport has PARENT_ID before PARENT_DESC.
Basically, you need to change the order of the columns in one of the Data Transports so that it structurally matches the other Data Transport that it's being merged (UNIONed) with.

Ora-00600 error when dropping a table

Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production
When I tried to drop a table, I got 600 error:

I guess this is because it had a parent table, which I dropped (I used "drop table <parent_table>", and it did not give me error, very strange).

This is a bug. There is no Patch avaialble for this yet. This error is seen where recyclebin is enabled. Possible workaround is to disable the recyclebin.
This happens with the dictionary corruption due to inconsistency between obj$ and seg$.
This is a correct answer but still i would suggest to contact Oracle support.

Ora-01830 error when loading xml doc

Hi,
I keep getting this error whenever I try to load an xml document.
ora-01830: date format picture ends before converting entire input string.
The date element in the xml document is in this format:
2003-06-26T11:17:40.130
The datatype in the XML Schema is DATE and the "table" created by Oracle gives the column datatype as DATE.

ORA-06502: error when inserting into table via db link with long datatype

Folks,
I am getting the following error:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small.
This occurs when an insert is done via a database link into a table that has a LONG data type for one of the columns, and the string contains some carriage returns and or line feeds.
I have checked by removing the db link, and inserting into a local table with identical column data types, where there is no error.
So this might be another db link bug?
So I need to remove the carriage returns and/or line feeds
in my pl/sql block in the page process. I have tried
l_text := REPLACE(l_text, CHR(10), ' ');
l_text := REPLACE(l_text, CHR(13), NULL);
but still getting the ORA-06502. Would really appreciate some advice here, please.

Time to 'fess up':
My fault sorry, the error was coming from another page process where I had allowed insufficient string length for one of the variables, and my error message did not identify the page process clearly.
This leads me to make a request for future releases, could the system error messages state which page process caused the problem?
One other thing I notice, and this might be a feature not a fault, the page processes are numbered: "Page Process: 3 of 5". However process 3 is not the 3rd one to be processed, and probably refers to the order in which they are created. Should the number reflect the process order?

(500) Internal Server Error when create storage table use development account

Yesterday, our team suddenly cannot use storage emulator all, it always said 'can not create database' when start the emulator. Finally, we found a issue may affect this, we delete the WAStorageEmulatorDb30.mdf file in C:\Users\[User], and create manully
in localdb, and so we can start the storage emulator later.
But we still can not use it, since it always throw exception when creating Tables/Blobs/Queues, the exception like this:

Any ideas of this? We still don't know what caused this whole trouble from yesterday, is it possible affect the storage emulator just by code? We were coding, not configuring anything. Strange.

I have tried it before, but not works.
Finally, I solved this issue by delete LocalDB instance, uninstall storage emulator and install LocalDB instance / storage emulator again, it works now. Quite strange.

Is it mean I can't use OUT params in HS_PASSTHROUGH with ODBC Gateway?

2.3 Known Restrictions
which states:
* Does not support stored procedures
Reason for this restriction is we have no control over the foreign ODBC drivers and the function it has implemented. As you've also already figured out it works for your MS SQL Server connection, but fails for the iSeries which is indicating an issue with the driver or its implementation.
And that's the reason why it is documented as a known restriction and if you want to call a foreign procedure you have to use the dedicated foreign database gateway (if it is available) - for example DG4MSQL for MS SQl Server and DG4DRDA for DB2 databases on IOS, LUW and z/OS.

ORA-12560 error when trying to do a data pump

I installed oracle 11g and was attempting to do a data pump from the dev machine to my computer however when I run the impdp command I get an ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error.
A co-worker thought I might need to add a loopback adapter as that had been the only thing different from his machine where everything worked fine so I added the loopback adapter but it still didn't work. We thought maybe the adapter had to be in place first so I uninstalled the database and installed again but that also didn't work, I still get the same error message.
Any ideas on what I should try?

The updates depend on data in a mySql database that I want to approach using an ODBC connection.
I cannot figure out what I need to do to select data from an ODBC source from an oracle session.
