Error while creating a production order from a sales order

Hi
Even though the product has BOM when i try to create order with a sales order reference it is showing a warning message " NO BOM FOUND" . How to correct this error .

Dear ,
Goto -CS02-Enter FG -Goto Header -Staus Long Text -Check wether BOM status is set to 1 -Active .
Check the usage of the BOM -Should be 1-Production .
Check wether BOM is locked and Deltion Flag set -Header Status Long txt tab
Check the valididty of the BOM and Sales Order Schedule delivery date
Try and come back

Serial number error while creating the production order

Hello frds,
I am getting the following error while creating the production order.
"Item 000000 requires exactly 100 serial numbers for the asset".
If i give 100 serial numbers in the order, the error is solved. But i do not want to assign 100 serial numbers, i want to assign only 2 numbers.
I have tried using the new serial number profile also, but it is giving same error.

Select the serial number profile and go to serialization procedure and set the ser. usage status 02 - Optional as below.
Procd Procedure description Ser.Usage
PPRL PP order release 02
since the serail number creation is optional for order relase this will allow you to relase with out error and with serail number assigned in partial.

Error while creating web dynpro project from DTR

Hello,
I am getting following error while creating Web Dynpro project from DTR,
org.eclipse.jdt.core.JavaModelException: File /<track name><DC><package>/.classpath is read-only.
Still project gets created but evenif I check out view , it does not allow me to edit it.
Also I have checked in and activated some changes but active copy in DTR is not reflecting those changes.
I tried Add subtree option in DTR perspective for folders in this project. Is it result of that?
Please help me in this regard.

Hi Beena,
.classpath file should not checked in to DTR(uncheck the Read only properties). It is local file it contains class path for local system.
Generally in webdynpro project only src folder should be checked in DTR.

Error while creating the product group by MC84

Hello Friends,
I am creating the product group by MC84, and in product group field i have given the product group name i.e P2345, and its description i.e product group for waluj, plant i.e cw01 and Base unit i.e KG.Now when i press enter system is throwing the error"The field is defined as the required field;it doesnot contain an entry."Message no.MG144.And with this error system is placing the cursor on product group field.As i have already given product group name than also system is throwing the error.
Though i know the alternative method to create product group by MMO1 and selecting the material type PROD, then also i want to know why system is throwing the error while creating the product group by MC84.
Please guide.

This message says that you have not entered a mandatory field.Enter proper values for all mandatory fields and then you will not get this error.
Try to create the product group as material of material type"PROD"
Then you go on adding the memebers in SOP Transaction.
In some of the versions of SAP it is the problem.
I have also faced this problem in some versions.

How to create planned order from the sales order for a processing item

In the MTO sceanrio, assembly order is created directly from the sales order. I would like to create a planned order from the sales order.
I tried the Planning strategy group 81 in the material master but it didnt work.
Could you please let me know how to do it? Is it Schedule line config that controls whether planned order is created?

Planning strategy 82 is the best & standard way of getting production order created on sale order create.
just assign this strategy in MRP 3 view under strategy group.
If not then using sale order reqt type ( KMFA- Assembly with production order) & assigning this to your sale order item category is also another way to create prodcution order without using planning strategy in material master.
Follow steps in SPRO-->Sales & dist --> basic functions >avail check &transfer of requirements> transfer reqts-->determination of reqt type using transaction
Here you may select the item category you in sale orders & assign KMFA to your item category. this will then give option in sale order create to change reqt type to KFMA for assebly orders.
If you need KFMA to be default assign it to Item cat/ MRP type ( PD) combo.

Error While creating a Product Group

Dear All;
When running MRP, we would like to run it for specific materials only.
To do so, we need to group the materials in product groups.
While creating a product Group using T.code MC84, i get an error message
"The field is defined as a required field; it does not contain an entry
Message no. MG144"

As ponited by you, the material type "PROD" is realted with creation of product group.I am able to resolve the error, "actually the work schedulling & MRP views were not activated for "PROD" resulting in the above error.

Hi All,
I'm getting a critical error while creating family members and dependents record from portal.
CRITICAL ERROR
"Type conflict in the ASSIGN statement in the program CL_HRPA_CONVERT_0021_US=======CP ., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE"
I checked the short dump in R/3 Side and searched for OSS note and didnt find any. I raised an OSS message.
If any had've already comeacross this, pls let me know.

How to create an Installed base from the sales order

Dear Friends,
could any one let me know the process of creating an Installed base with the below process.
Once a sales order is created in SD, an istalled base need to be created in CRM system with reference to sales order.
There are around 50 final products and approximately 2000(BOM)components for each product exists. but the client wants to maintain only few components
like 100 to 200 components in Installed base.
In CRM system, can we maintain Installed base Template with that 100 or 200 components. If yes, how do we assign the Individual objects(Serial numbers) to each component.

there can be two possibilities
Option 1. Create Install base in CRM while creating Sales order in ECC using RFC CRM_IBASE_CREATE. Make some reference of sales order in the Ibase. later when you move equipments to CRM then you can attach these equipments to Ibase (Already created in Thru RFC)in Badi CRM_EQUI_LOAD(This BAdi is called while moving equipments from ECC to CRM).
Option 2. Don't create Ibase at the creation of Sales order. but while creating Equipment just add some indiacator in the equipment to know which sale sorder this equipments belongs.
and once these equipments moves to CRM. Using the BADI CRM_EQUI_LOAD you can club all the equipments(of same sales order) under one ibase.

Error while copy with reference of quotation to Sales Order

Dear All
I am creating the sales order with reference to quotation . while , doing so , I get an error of
Customer not maintained in Distribution channel - 'D1' .
The Quotaion is having following structure
Sales Organisation -- AAAA
Distribution Channel - S7
Division - D3
But while copy the error erupts notifying to create the customer master for division 'D1' . If created of division D1 then the sales order is created with reference of quotation.
Kindly guide.

Perhaps the configuration settings have been changed (to make D1 the reference division for D3 for master data ) since the quotation was originally created.

Hi Emmanuel,
As far as I know you cannot create a purchase order based on a sales order using the DI API. I know in SBO you can do this, but I don't think using the SDK. The reason why it's giving you the message "Base Document Card and Target Document Card do not match" is because one is a vendor and one is a customer.
