Error while deploying a simple bpel process
Hello All,
I have installed jdeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 and created a simple bpel process using string concat function and when I tried to deploy the same BPEL to process to a SOA server, I am getting the below error.

Getting the error while deploying the HelloWorld BPEL process
Hi Folks...
I installed the BPM of version soa_windows_x86_bpel_101310.
I designed and rebuilt the HelloWorld BPEL process in Jdeveloper10.13.1. It is executed with out any errors.
I tried to deploy it in BPEL console 10.1.3.1.0. Then I got the following error
Missing process descriptor file. The process deployment descriptor file "bpel.xml" has not been packaged in the BPEL archive "bpel_41030.tmp". Please generate the BPEL archive again using the "bpelc" tool and redeploy the process. The BPEL archive "bpel_41030.tmp" may have been generated with an older version of "bpelc"
Can any body help me how to rectify the error in BPEL console.
Thanks in advance...
Gopal.Hi Gopal,
Did you find any solution? I am having same problem...while compiling it compiles with 1 warning and am able to deploy from jdeveloper not from bpel server.
Warning: TopLink found problems in bpelProccessName. Please ensure that these are corrected before deployment.
Thanks -
TNS:Operation Timed Out error while trying to invoke BPEL Process from sql
Hi,
I am trying to invoke a BPEL Process from PL/sql code. When i try to invoke the process, I am getting the following error message
ORA-29273 HTTP Request Failed
ORA:06512: at SYS.UTH_HTTP at line 1029
ORA:12535: TNS:Operation Timed Out
ORA:06512: at line 18
I have the SOA suite installed on my local machine...and the BPEL process that i am trying to invoke is deployed their.
Any idea what could be wrong..following is the code piece
soap_request:='<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<soap:Header/>
<soap:Body xmlns:ns1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Test">
<ns1:TesProcessRequest><ns1:input>is1_1land</ns1:input></ns1:TesProcessRequest>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>';
dbms_output.put_line('soap_request: '||soap_request);
utl_http.set_proxy('3.209.30.25:80', '3.209.32.149:8888');
http_req:= utl_http.begin_request('http://3.209.32.149:8888/orabpel/default/Tes/1.0 '
,'POST'
,'HTTP/1.1');
dbms_output.put_line('after Begin Request' );
utl_http.set_header(http_req, 'Content-Type', 'text/xml') ;
Please adviseyou are right the file adapter doesnt invoke any bpel
process, instead it is polling the file from
directory location?If it is polling for new files, shouldn't it create a new instance of the BPEL process automatically the moment it finds a new file? In other words, should a new file trigger an instance of the BPEL process rather than being started from PL/SQL?
Can this file adapter not be invoked as bpel process
in that case?The file adapter is part of a BPEL process. The BPEL process can be invoked from e.g. PL/SQL.
In this case this file adapeter return to an RECEIVE
activity...I think this receive cannot be invoked as
a BPEL process rite?Can you explain what you mean with this?
Also , will all synchronous request return "TIMEOUT"
error, if tried to invoke from pl/sql?Only if the synchronous process instance takes more time to complete (and thus to return) than the value specified for a time-out to occur. If the instance completes in for example 10 ms and the time-out time is specified as 30 seconds, no time-out will occur.

Error while invoking an asynchronous BPEL process
Hi ,
I am trying to call an asynchronous BPEL process through java client.
Following is the code which I got from SOA bpel samples present in the following location
<SOA_HOME>\bpel\samples\tutorials\102.InvokingProcesses\rmi\com\otn\samples\async
The code fails while registering the callback
String convId = GUIDGenerator.generateGUID();
nm.setProperty(NormalizedMessage.CONVERSATION_ID, convId);
deliveryService.post("HelloWorld", "initiate", nm);
// register the callback
watchdog.registerAsyncCallback(convId, testAsyncHandler,
locator.getDomainAuth());
The error says java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/collaxa/thirdparty/json/JSONString
I tried to search for this in google. But it seems noone has got this error or maybe noone has used this at all.
Maybe I am missing some jar file, but I am unable locate that.
Can someone help me in this please.Hi,
These sort of class not found errors come when you are running from a client which does not have all the jar files requried to invoke BPEL using the client API.
org/collaxa/thirdparty/json/JSONString is orabpel-thirdparty.jar.
The complete list of Jar files you would need in the classpath are:
ejb.jar ($ORACLE_HOME/home/lib)
oc4j-internal.jar ($ORACLE_HOME/home/lib)
optic.jar ($ORACLE_HOME/opmn/lib)
orabpel-common.jar ($ORACLE_HOME/bpel/lib)
orabpel-thirdparty.jar ($ORACLE_HOME/bpel/lib)
orabpel.jar ($ORACLE_HOME/bpel/lib)
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Shanmu.

Error while deploy a simple EJB
Hi , I'm having a problem while trying to deploy a ear [witch only contains a EJB ] in weblogic 10.01 AKA 10mp1 ,

A little more info
MyClass.java:62 = private static Logger log = Logger.getLogger(MyClass.class);
I also have try
MyClass.java:62 = private static Logger log = Logger.getRootLogger();
Both with the same result.
My Log4j properties are simple

log4j.appender.std-out=org.apache.log4j.ConsoleAppender
log4j.appender.std-out.target=System.out

log4j.appender.std-out.layout.ConversionPattern=%d{dd MMM yyyy HH:mm:ss,SSS} [%t] %-5p %c %x - %m\n
log4j.rootCategory=${root.log}, std-out
Also have Try Hard Code Properties , but having the same error.

ConsoleAppender appender=new ConsoleAppender(out);
appender.setTarget(ConsoleAppender.SYSTEM_OUT);
Logger.getRootLogger().addAppender(appender);
I'm aware of a "bug" of Weblogic 9.2 to 10.02 that weblogic adds first his jars instead the web-inf\lib jars I have added this xml's to the weblogic-application.xml
<wls:prefer-application-packages>
<wls:package-name>org.apache.log4j.*</wls:package-name>
</wls:prefer-application-packages>
Please note a add the weblogic-application.xml in ejb META-INF folder , as well in the EAR META-INF folder
That doesn't resolve my problem has you can imagine already
I'm using log4j 1.2.15 and log4j extras both download from maven repository
I'll really appreciate some sort of guide since this problem is really annoying me

this implies to be in the same initial context then the bpel engine, whicuh you cannot be as long as you are not either part of the ejb code of orabpel or a child of it. and if you are you can use the Locator API without the jndi properties.

Thanks,
APHi,
We are also getting this error when deploying BPEL process. It happend us now already on second server, where we have 10.1.3.3 instaled. So latest version. Funny is, that we were able to deploy same BPEL on this server several times before, and then suddenly it is not possible to do so anymore. Exactly the same BPEL process version can be deployed on some other servers. So it is something specific with the server, but we have no idea what exactly.
Does anybody has some answers for this? Thanks!

Error in deploying a simple EJB 3.0
Hi ,
I am getting the following error while deploying my simple ejb of version 3.0 in Weblogic 9.2.
Exception preparing module: EJBModule(build) [EJB:011023]An error occurred while reading the deployment descriptor. The error was: Error processing annotations: java.lang.NullPointerException.
During my evaluation of Weblogic 9.2 for EJB 3.0 , I have got the following questions.
EJB Specification states that EJB's in EJB 3.0 can be developed and deployed without the need of deployment descriptors. I have created a simple EJB with two file Env.java and EnvBean.java and the source code is given below.
a) I just complied these class files and when I was trying to deploy without ejb-jar.xml and weblogic-ejb-jar.xml, the console was not at all allowing me to deploy.Why is this so?
b) After I created a META-INF file under root of classes directory by placing ejb-jar.xml with empty <enterprise-beans> element, console was allowing me to deploy with errors in parsing ejb-jar.xml. The error was either session/entity/mdb is a required under <enterprise-beans> element. Why is this required when there are several examples stating <enterprise-beans> element can be empty.
c) Later I updated ejb-jar.xml with <session> element under <enterprise-beans> with the following values. I got the above error when deployed with this change.
I had been struggling to deploy this simple bean for almost a day.Pleas point me if there is any documentation that solves my stated problem or if there is a solution.Thanks in advance.
regards
Karim
ejb-jar.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ejb-jar xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" version="3.0"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/ejb-jar_3_0.xsd">
<enterprise-beans>
<session>
<description>This is the stateless ejb</description>
<display-name>Env Bean</display-name>
<ejb-name>EnvBean</ejb-name>
</session>
</enterprise-beans>
</ejb-jar>
Env.java
package examples ;
public interface Env {
public void display();
EnvBean.java
package examples;
import javax.ejb.Remote;
import javax.ejb.Stateless;
@Stateless
@Remote(Env.class)
public class EnvBean implements Env {
public void display() {
System.out.println("Welcome to EJB 3.0");
}Presumably you're using the EJB3 tech preview, and not a vanilla WebLogic 9.2 install, right?
Can you post the full stack trace?

Tom....For deploying a bpel with human task, you need a bpel engine. oc4j_soa instance has the BPEL engine. Thats why.

Error while deploying BPEL Process
Hi ,
I am new to BPEL and learning it using dev guide. i am using JDev 10.1.2.0.0 with OAS.
i build a simple BPEL process which uses a DB adapter for interaction with DB.
My DB tables are not related to each other in any way.
please help for resolving some problem:-
Is it necessary to define relationship for table if i want to use some Select, Insert or say any operation those have run time parameter?
For understanding i, then defined a self relationship of table like 1:1.but while deploying this process i got following error:
<::Outbound><oracle.tip.adapter.db.ox.TopLinkXMLProjectInitializer initialize> Initializing an existing toplink project for use by the database adapter.<2006-09-18 18:17:42,817> <ERROR> <default.collaxa.cube> <BaseCubeSessionBean::logError> Error while invoking bean "domain manager": Error deploying BPEL archive.An error occurred while attempting to deploy the BPEL archive file "bpel_DBTest_1.0.jar"; the exception reported is: Problem 1: [orcl.wsdl]: null
Here orcl.wsdl is my wsdl of DB adapter.
Can you guys please help me..
thnx in advance.

Please verify the schemas defined in wsdl.
[Potential fix]: If your site has a proxy server, then you may need to configure your BPEL Server, designer and browser with your proxy server configuration settings (see tech note on http://otn.oracle.com/bpel for instructions).
Kindly let me know if you have any pointers on the above.
Thanks in Advance.
