we created an iBot, when we click the iBot under myiBots floder we are getting these error

It hard to analyse the issue base on the limited information, Are there any error message on the log? Under C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSAS11.\OLAP\Log (this could be different for your server), there are 3 log files that are generated:
msmdrrv.log
FlightRecorderCurrent.trc
FightRecorderBack.trc
The msmdrrv.log simply points to the other two logs. There might be some detail information for this error. Please provide us the detail information about it, so that we can make further analysis.

Error in ibot/agent with recipients based on a Analysis with a union

I'm getting the error code 77006. I think it's a bug in obiee 11.1.6 with a "Get Recipients from the Analysis Used in the Agent Condition" option when using a Analysis with a union.
When i rewrite the analysis without the union the ibot/agent runs without an error.
Does anyone know if this issue was ever solved in a patch?

End of flile communication error in IBOT delivered excel file

Hi All,
We have scheduled an IBOT which will run 6 days a week. Report( Pivot view ) is pulling 4 weeks of data. I ran the report on Saturday IBOT got delivered and in excel sheet it displays report fine with 4 weeks of data. On Monday IBOT got delivered, when I open the IBOT it gives " Cell Too Large to Open " error message on excel. Tried to open as CSV file and it gives below error message.
Error message reads an ORA error. ' End of file communication error '. Same report works fine
Dont know why same report runs fine some times and why gives end of file communication error some times. What can be the work around or alternative solution for this issue.

IBots error, works most of the times

Hi all,
I am getting the following error in iBot(s) (however this happens inconsistently, and the iBots runs fine on most days):
"[nQSError: 77006] Oracle BI Presentation Server Error: A fatal error occurred while processing the request. The server responded with: Path not found (/shared/_ibots/common/Report)
Error Codes: U9KP7Q94
Error Codes: AGEGTYVF"
Have double checked my configurations, moreover this error is not consistent and runs fine most of the times which leads me to believe this is not an authentication issue.
Has anyone faced a similar situation, do let me know if more details are required?

Hi,
Make sure you are pointing the ibot to the right path of presentation catalog. In the job manager on the application server, Under Ibot tab change to point to right presentation catalog. Also make sure you have right port information. Try restarting the server on which OBIEE is installed. This should resolve your issue.

Error While saving a iBot

I am getting the below error while saving a iBot.
Oracle BI Scheduler Error: [nQSError: 16001] ODBC error state: S1C00 code: 106 message: [Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver]Optional feature not implemented . at stage of execute transaction command with data source: Procurement_Demo
I am using xls as a datasource to create Repository. I have created scheduler tables for iBot in the same datasource.
Can i not use XLS as a datasource for iBot?
If i can use , what is the solution of this problem.

Please close your SharePoint Designer application, clear/delete the cached files and folders under the following directories from your server installed SharePoint Designer, then check results again.

The exactly erro refers to a problems when you try upgrade from these version to 11.5.10.
Can you read this note and apply solution? The note refers a patch, but the problem is the same.
After Patch 4334965, adstrtal.sh & adstpall.sh is failing with errors [ID 360046.1]

Error while saving Ibot

Hi im using siebel analytcis.
I have created those tables required for configuring the scheduler in the database, i am able to start my scheduler services also.
But when i try to save an ibot, the following error comes:

One more point, When I am providing Administrator password in Job manager that time I am not able to save my Ibot but when I left that password blank in the
Job manager I am bale to save but not able to run & getting above authentication error.

Is this issue because of user id (Administrator) that I have provided in Scheduler, general tab? can we provide same user id /pwd (Administrator/Administrator)tht we use for our RPD?
Or do I need to create another user with Admin priviledges?

I am here trying to run the script with Oracle unix user with which the OBIEE has been installed on linux server. I had checked that, all the files and script has necessary permissions, but missing some authentication. For further information, my instanceconfig.xml file has the following contents... ( where cryptools has run and passphare is mentioned in the instanceconfig.xml file)

Cannot save Ibot - Error message as insufficient buffer space

Hi,
I am trying to implement the ibots and I have followed the step by step procedure as in

Now when I create an Ibot and try to save it, I get the message as
Oracle BI Scheduler Error: [nQSError: 12008] Unable to connect to port 25 on machine xxx.xx.xx.xx [nQSError: 12002] Socket communication error at call=recv: (Number=10055) An operation on a socket could not be performed because the system lacked sufficient buffer space or because a queue was full.
Can anyone let me know what this error corresponds to and how this can be fixed?

Sounds like some memory issue or some network problem. Check to make sure you telnet to port 25 of SMTP server from the command line.

Did you try looking at the Administrator username and password in the Job Manager Configuration screen?
The error message "Authentication failed for Administrator in repository Star: invalid user/password" simply says that the userID and password do not match the same settings in the repository.

OBIEE 10g iBots SA System error : No Devices found for User ###

Hi All,
I have implemented SA System in my RPD as I wanted to send emails to obi/non-obi users.
But its giving error - No Devices found for User ....
I found this error in S_NQ_ERR_MSG table.
I have an entry in SA_User table, and when I login to OBI using same user, I can see my delivery profile automatically set as expected because of SA System Implementation.
But its not working when I want to send mail to same user using iBots conditional request.
Please advise what I am doing wrong here??

Well .. now the No devices issue is resolved if i select the checkbox for Interactive Dashboard and Active Delivery Profile in the Destination tab of iBot.
But still No mail received :(

Its was a small mistake..
The SA System columns in Presentation and logical area should be exactly as expected.
In my case, the correct column should be 'Time Zone' but I had it as 'Timezone'. :)
Small mistakes are hard to find... neways.. hope this will help some another soul ;)

Basically i am not able to get the point numbr 6 in this blog i.e where do i make the schedulere port entry : -
Open your instanceconfig.xml and add in the scheduler details. This step basically lets the presentation server know about the machine and port details of the scheduler. By default the scheduler port is 9705.
Please help me to add the scheduler port in the instanceconfig.xml .

Rohit,
The fix to this is fairly straightforward.
You have input an incorrect path for the -infile parameter when calling cryptotools.
You entered , -infile OracleBIData_HOME/web/config/credentialstore.xml
when it should be, -infile C:\OracleBI\web\config\credentialstore.xml , depending on the absolute physical path to the credentialstore.xml file.
It looks like you were attempting to use either a Nix (unix/linux) path with the forward slashes or you where trying to use a environment variable for "OracleBIData_Home". I can see from the c:\ that you are on a Windows machine so the Nix path won't work. Also if you are attempting to use an environment variable that you have confirmed is indeed set, then you need to use %OracleBIData_HOME% in the command prompt which would look like %OracleBIData_HOME%\web\config\credentialstore.xml
So to answer your question your command should appear as below if I have accessed your path to the OracleBIData home correctly, you may need to change it based on your installation,
C:\OracleBI\web\bin>cryptotools credstore -add -infile C:\OracleBIData\web\config\credentialstore.xml
Just be mindful of your paths and your backslashes vs. forward slashes.
