Errors in slider action

Hello guys,
I want to use a slider to show some images, but I'm missing
something in the
script.
Here's what I did so far.

Two years ago I made this site which uses the same script. If

I agree with Kito's comments that you really want to set a component's valid state to false in a Validator. However, that is not the only way to deal with error conditions.
Consider the classic use case of a login page. A validator makes perfect sense to ensure that the username and password fields have been filled in (by using a RequiredValidator), but it doesn't necessarily make sense to check whether the username+password combination itself is valid there.
What I'd suggest for situations like that is to have your Action go ahead and add a message (via a call to FacesContext.addMessage()) if it detects a problem, but don't bother trying to change the valid state -- simply return null so that the login page will get redisplayed. If you've used the <h:output_errors> component tag, it will display the appropriate error message so that the user will know what they have to do, regardless of the valid state of the component.

Slide Action on Exit Cancelled by Length of Audio File

Status: Solution to problem works but makes no sense
Problem: Slide actions on exit designated in the Properties Inspector do not function. Although the "jump to slide" action was selected, the transition at the end of the slide moves to the next slide. I encountered this problem as I was developing a series of slides that would supplement a single beginning slide. Using click boxes I wanted the learner to be able to click on an item, go to a slide with more detail, then return to the original list on the starting slide. I set the supplemental slides up in the Property Inspector--Actions to "Jump to slide" and selected the beginning slide number. When I ran the project, the click boxes moved to the correct slides but the supplemental slides did not return to the beginning slide. They only transitioned to the next slide.
Solution: This makes no sense to me and is the source of my question. I'm using text-to-speech as a temporary method of making a rough cut at timing while I am waiting on narration files. The audio files created by text-to-speech usually run to the end of the slide and are exactly the same length as the slide. Grabbing at straws to fix the problem, I added 0.2 secs to the slide length so the slide timing was slightly more than the audio file. Voila! The selected action (jump to slide X) functions as expected. I made the same change on the balance of seven slides and the entire routine works as designed. I have not tested slides using imported narration or narration recorded within Captivate to see if the same problem presents.
Why would this be? Why would the length of an audio file prevent an exit action from functioning?

Monitor stopped due to setup error or custom action

Hi folks,
i have installed the sun cluster and created a resource group for my oracle database. I have created resourece's for database server and or listener.
My question is when I am issuing the scstat command on my oracle server resource i get the following mesg.
"Monitor stopped due to setup error or custom action"
What does it means, does anybody give me some hint about it.

and then i notice that i am using "sqlplus '/ as sysdba'" as Connect_strings, that is why i can start/stop the database but not able to monitor the database, for that i need to create an oracle account as it mentioned in "sun cluster data service for HA-Oracle" like

Get an error message when trying to log into CC to download my initial apps.
Purchased from Amazon and the process completed successfully until I attempted to log in and down load from adobe.com. had to create new adobe account just to post this question.
The error message appears repeatedly 'There was an error with this action. Try again later.'
The error message is followed by a series of 5 groups of numbers and letters with dashes between each group.
Windows 7 rig. Attempted 3 different browsers. same error.. 'There was an error with this action. Try again later.'
attempted fix posted by another forum member recommending the removal of a .db file in the appData folder. No .db file existed as described.

LiveCycle unable to access Cache Controller. Exception message - Error accessing the cache container - Error on GET action for cache Replicated:UM_CLUSTER_INVALIDATION_CACHE

The incident starts after all the members are removed from the DCS Stack DefaultCoreGroup view and added back again by WebSphere Application Server. Following exceptions are seen after LiveCycle was added back in again to the view.
We have a clustered environment with two nodes 2A and 2B. Server 2A crashed and therefore all members on 2B node were removed from the DCS view. Later the new core group view was installed but LiveCycle did resume operations as expected.

I have tried looking for the root cause about why LiveCycle was not able to resume normally, didn't find anything related.

LiveCycle uses Gemfire as distributed cache for cluster members. If you are using TCP Locators (caching based on TCP instead of UDP), below are the possible situations which might lead to “ForcedDisconnectException” :
- There is time difference between two nodes.
- These is network connectivity issues.
- The high CPU usage by the member crashed.

Having the same problem in CS6. I can tell you that converting back to CS4 will NOT solve the problem. It seems when support for backward compatibility is discontinued, there's just no way to get

The weird thing is when i play the file on my computer it

Error "the SendObject action was cancelled" when trying to send as PDF in Access 2010

When presented with the choice or what file type to send if I choose PDF I get error "the SendObject action was cancelled." If I choose other file types it works as normal.

First I created two DCs:

2)J2EE server component library DC
and followed the procedure given as in

Why does "Jump to Slide" action disable the quiz slides?

Here is what I have setup:
I have a Captivate 4 program using AS 2. The program is a total of 23 slides (quizzes and tutorials). The program is broken into 3 lessons with one of the slides set as a menu slide. Each lesson button on the menu jumps to the slide that is the first slide of that lesson. At the end of each lesson I have a completion slide with a menu button that jumps back to the menu slide when it is clicked.
Here is the problem:
When I start the program and complete any of the lessons and return the menu, none of the question slides work in the remaining lessons. The question slides show up, but the radio buttons and submit button are no longer active on those slides. Its as if the program thinks the slide is complte, but nothing is selected. I have narrowed the problem down to the “Jump to Slide” action that I use on the Menu button in the lesson completion slides. If I would complete the program in a linear way without jumping back to the menu slide I don’t seem to have any problems. The problem seems to only occur when I jump backwards through the slides.
Has anyone else had a similar problem? Is this a bug with Captivate or am I missing something?

Hi there
The unfortunate fact is that question slides work best if you can place them all in a linear fashion where you move from one to another without ever going backward. We often see posts here where things fail to work when you choose to jump backward and forward in the movie.
Perhaps one workaround would be to force a specific order of progression. Sprinkle the "menu" slide so it follows each segment. That way you could also easily implement something like check marks or a progress indicator to show completion of the segment.

Error During Leaving Action.

" The object currency of CTR CARK/3000250306 is USD and not GBP".
please guide me what to do.

Error message with Action Script 2.0 file

Hi,
I am trying to edit an old flash file that uses Action Script 2.0. I am using CS6 and keep getting the following error message after publishing:
Scene 1, Layer 'AS', Frame 1, Line 5, Column 29
1067: Implicit coercion of a value of type int to an unrelated type String.
Can you suggest any fixes or workarounds? I also have Flash 4.0. Can i downsave the file? If so, how?

Thank you. I think that did fix the original two errors. But now upon test of the file, I get some new errors:

Error while executing action SMCO in VMS Build-to-Order process.

Hello All,
When I execute the Action 'SMCO' for service order confirmation, the system says that the action cannot be executed due to the error: "Actual date(s) is in the future (check parameters)". Also the Actual start & End Dates are blank in the service order. This is creating a problem such that the Action 'SMIO'-Create Billing request for service order cannot be executed for completion of the Build-to-Order process.
Is there any customizing setting in ECC - Customer Service (CS) component which is causing this error?

Thank you for the response.
The Action matrices I use are ECMM (Primary) and ECSD (Secondary) and the set up is perfect. I was able to do it earlier and we also had a detailed system walkthrough but it seems to be different now may be due to some customizing changes.
It seems to be an issue with the setup in customer service (CS) which is controlling our VMS. I am executing the actions in the sequence SMNO (service notification) then SMOR (service order) and then SMCO (service order confirmation). Now the issue seems to be with service order confirmation where my Actual Start and End dates are blank which should not be the case to confirm the service order (SMCO).
Pleaes let me know if you need more information on this.
