Errors on page after applying Java plugin1.3.1_02

Hi,
I need assistance on how to troubleshoot my console, with the following errors:
java.lang.VerifyError: (class: Solar, methode: DeleteServer signature: ()V) Illegal use of nonvirtual function call.
Another machine has the error:
load: class Solar.class not found.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.io.IOException: Connection failure with 401
at sun.plugin.protocol.jdk12.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(Unknown Source)
Previously, with the default Java VM that came with IE 5.0, there was no such error and the console appears to be working.
Any insights on what to do to fix this and some information on how to check how IE calls the applets will be very much appreciated (The Script Debugger of IE doesn't show the calls to the applets, or I just dont know where to look.).

you have used a method that was implemented in JRE1.2 -- IE's native JVM 1.1.4 or 1.1.5 . You can do one of two things:
1) convert your html file to make it use a new Java plug-in, or
2) change your code to call a comparble method that is available before 1.2

Error refreshing report after applying security restrictions in IDT

Hi,
I have created a report and now the requirement is that the user should be able to view data of his profile only for which i have created restricstions at universe at Business layer.. But after applying these if i refresh by the user id i get the error where as on removing this no error.
"An internal error occured while calling 'porcessDPCommandsEx' API. (Error: ERr_WIS_30270) (Error: INF)".
If i refresh using any other id other than used at restrictions the reports is getting refreshed. Please advise.
This is on BOXIR4 SP3.

I believe you are implementing Row level restrictions either in UDT or IDT, The below video is for IDT, the concept is same for UDT.

Dialog queue Standstill after applying Java Initial configuration

Hi All,
I am installing NW 7.11 PI and after running Java Initial configuration with j2ee_admin user the system is not starting anymore.
On SAP MMC I notice the "message server connected ok" message and java process is starting.
Then it stops and I see message "Dialog queue standstill" and the system stops.
I can start oracle without issues but when I run R3trans -d I get Ora 1017 error.
I checked all notes regarding this error (400241, 1410573, etc) but no luck. I can connect to orace using sapsr3/<password>/@<SID> without issues. But on trans.log file I see the message that OPS$ can not connect even if I reset the password to default "sap".
It seems to me that tje problem is related to some issue with the Java instance but am not sure.
Please can any body help me out ?

In fact not. The abap instance is also stopped. BTW, it is on Windows 2008 and oracle 11.2.
When I stat the instances on sapmmc, i see on process list the disp+work.exe running, the message server connection ok and it tries to start the AS Java. Then I got that message "Dialog queue standstill"and then it stops.
I can not attach the complete dev_disp and dev_server0 files because they are too long.
See part of the dev_disp below.
I will send the dev_server0 in another query.

Portal Runtime Error in contentCatalogTree after applying SP11

HI,
I am getting a POrtal Runtime Error for the contentCatalogTree iView after I applied SP11. It was working fine before I patch the portal. Has anyone got a solution to this?

Apprantly it seems that the sequence to applying the SP Stacks plays a part. I reverted back to SP9 then went on to SP10, SP10 patch2 and then SP11 and it appears fine now.

Errors in Eclipse after update Java

Today I got notified that a new Java version was ready to be updated. Instead of using the Java update functionality I choose to manually deinstall Java, download the latest version of Java, and install the new version (1.6.0_05). Next I started Eclipse again, and was baffled by the errors in my code. For instance,
The import java.awt cannot be resolvedNaturally I looked at my configuration (Windows -> Preferences -> Java -> Installed JREs) and saw that Eclipse was looking at the correct directory (C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.05). So what alternatives do I have?

I found the reason for my problem. After the update of Java Eclipse was pointing to the correct and new installation directory. It was not the general preferences (Window -> Preferences) but the project specific preferences (right click project, choose Properties). In the 'Java Build Path' I had a 'JRE System Library [jre1.6.0_03] Unbound'. After choosing Edit, I selected 'Workspace default JRE (jre1.6.0_05) and everything went Hunky Dory.
Evaluation:
You can install a new version of Java independently from Eclipse (deinstall, download new version, reinstall). Eclipse will update the JRE to the new version, but you need to change the 'Java Build Path' of the projects you are working on manually to the new version ...

JNI - core dump - internal error on linux after calling Java method

I'm getting a core dump after calling athe main statric method using JNNI.
On linux.
I can get the class id correcttly but when I attempt to call the method it craches with an internal error , anyone know why it would crash instead of just not work.

I see yere points but what I see on linux is it makes it to the constructor of the Java object and somewhere afterwards it bails out, the Java app does work alone. It appears to have problems initializing the JFrame, could there be a problem with the Java inheritance when a JVM is invoked throurgh native invocation??

How to OCR a page after applying a header?

Hi all,
Acrobat X 10.1.3 pro & standard:
I get this error message "Acrobat could not perform recognition (OCR) on this page because: This page contains renderable text."
The only "renderable text" is a page number I applied to the top of the page. The rest of the page remains an image. I am using the Header and Footer tool. Also tried a third party plug-in and our proprietary tool, and get the same error.
I understand that I can flatten and then OCR but my staff members will not. Almost every job we produce gets a page number/heading applied (in some way) and I don't want to add another step to our production.
Acrobat 9 did not require you to flatten "text" layers before OCRing.
Any suggestions?

2. Weird, OCR runs from 9 for me but not 10. Tested on two machines.
3. The exact opposite for me.
In regards to the objects and as described by my IT director, and in layman's terms (for me):
We are combing two things into a new PDF. I guess you can consider it a "layer" on top of the pdf image, shifting the pdf image marginally, and then creating an entirely new file. Built on itext langauge.

Safari won't load pages after latest java update

I did the java update last night and now there are a lot of web pages that don't load. I also tried Firefox and Opera so I believe it is the latest Java update not something else.
Is there a log some where that I can check to see if there are any error messages or other indications of what is actually happening?

Then repair disk permissions...
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
And ... from the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences - Security.
Where you see: Web content make sure the top 3 buttons are selected.
And ..
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Could be a 3rd party plugins causing the problem. Go to ~/Library/Internet Plugins. Move any 3rd party plugins to the Trash and restart your Mac.

Error in Pages after upgrading to leopard.

Hi Everyone,
I just recently upgraded to Leopard and everything is runing smoothly (and beautifully) except Pages. For some reason, every time I open Pages I get this error:
"Some warnings occurred. Would you like to review them now?
You can review warnings at any time by choosing View > Show Document Warnings."
Then when I view the warnings, I read this:
"Substituted Font - The font “Helvetica-Narrow” was substituted for the missing font “Helvetica.”
And in the bottom left corner I see "replace font", but it is grayed out.
Obviously the font is not installed on my computer anymore, but what happened to it? How can I change the "default" font to something else so that I don't see the warning anymore?
Is there anything else I can do?

Rebranding Logon Screen after applying SP18

Greetings,
Our customized portal log-on page has reverted to the SAP standard log-on page after applying SP18. I reloaded the required branding image & text files to \usr\sap\<SID>\JC<Instance_Nr>\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.admin\servlet_jsp\logon\root\layout
I then went to Visual Administrator to update the following parameters:
ume.logon.branding-image and ume.logon.branding-text --> Updated > Saved> and then restarted J2ee. The logon page still comes with the standard SAP branding image & text.
Please assist..

Error could not access a java object field called allowAppDataInServContext after Applying Security

After applying the security patch 12-26 I am getting the error "Could not access a java object field called allowAppDataInServContext". When I removed the update the error goes away. When I read the update it returns.
The error states it occurred in the following line: cfapplication name="somename" clientmanagement="No" sessionmanagement="Yes" setclientcookies="Yes"

After applying the patch showin error in pages

i applied one patch yesterday which size was 1.5mb i applyed that as hot patch after applying the patch when uer want to open the front end it showing this error that
ORA-04063: package body "APPS.ARPT_SQL_FUNC_UTIL" has errors
FRM-40735: WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06502.
when i am clicking the recevable manger form.any body help me here.

They meant to say that the instance is screwed up. You need to clone from your PROD.

Error in BPLE CONSOLE after applying the patch 10.1.3.3.0

Hi,
Since my old version of my soa suite is 10.1.3.1.0 and I applied the patch set(10.1.3.3.0). It changed to 10.1.3.3.0, but when I click the Activity tab of my Bpel Console and checked it for activity states its showing the below mentioned error.
My operating system is windows XP and I also run the upgrade script mentioned in the readme document of the patch set. I don't know what need to be done?
Please help me on this issue.

10133_oracle.sql) in the orabpel. I had run this script after applying the patch.
Still iam facing the same issue.

Could you please help me on this, because I need to do the Fault Handling Framework in BPEL and so i need the faultpolicy folder to be present.
Since I got the folder by applying the patch, but what happend is when i try to check out for the activity status in the BPEL Console Activity tab it is showing the error as mentioned earlier. Any problem with patch implementation or any bug is there. So far i done the patch installation successfully without error and i upgraded the orabpel schema using the mentioned script also. Any other things i need to do?
