Event for Check box in the list

hi,
I have a 10 check boxs in list using
loop.
WRITE CHK1 AS CHECKBOX.
endloop.
and if I click on 8th checkbox. i need to trigger an event, like what we have in
AT LINE SELECTION. or AT USER COMMAND.
i don't want to use below logic because when there are 300 records it starts reading from first line and giving time out dump. I don't want to run the loop for 300 to find out for one selected box.
Do.
ADD 1 TO w_line.
READ LINE w_line line value INTO porec.
Enddo.

I'll confirm that - at least to the best of my knowledge. There is no event that is triggered when a simple checkbox is ticked on a list.
You either need to make them buttons (ie at user-command) or hotspots (so the 'click' also triggers at line-selection).

Hi,
You can create a view with based on the Approve column. In the view, set the filter column as "Approve" and set the value to "yes". Then your view will show only approved items.

Check bix in the list (report out put)

I have a field GW_FINAL-DECISION of char1 in an internal table.
After executing the selection screen the data from internal table is displayed on the list.
WRITE : GW_FINAL-DECISION AS CHECKBOX.
when I select the check box from the list, the value of the internal table is to be saved as 'X'.
please help me in this regard ASAP.

I think its better if you use ALV to display the report output and you can handle the check box issue with user_command subroutine of Reuse_alv_grid_display function module. Its simplest approach to solve such problems.

You can output the first character of a field as a checkbox on the output screen by using the following syntax:
Syntax
WRITE <f> AS CHECKBOX.
If the first character of field <f> is an "X", the checkbox is displayed filled. If the first character is SPACE, the checkbox is displayed blank.
In other words, the user can fill or clear them with a mouse click. For information on how you can check if output fields are ready for input or not, see Enabling Fields for Input. Fields that are ready for input are an essential component of interactive lists that allow a dialog with the user (see Interactive Lists.

Activating auto PO Check Box in the purchasing view for plant level.

Hi Techies,
Right now i have an issue related to auto PO check box in the purchasing view for the plant level. There are three plants A,B,C.. For the plants A and B the automatic PO check box is visible and the user is able to provide input values. But when it comes to plant C the auto PO field is not available and hence the user is unable to provide input for auto PO.
Is there any configuration to be done to activate the auto PO check box in the purchasing view in the material master with respect to plant C?
If so could you please guide me with the settings?

Hi Techies thanks for you all info.
Now today i just tried to created a new HALB Material in the plant C which i had issues yesterday. But when i created today a new material the Auto PO feild is available for entry. THen i tried to go to the material which i created yesterday for editing it. But i was unable to do it.
I checked the transactions which most of you referred(Very Useful). I found that all the plant s had the same screen selction setting and set as Opt Entry. The field screen referrence for MM01, MM02 Transaction s are also set as opt entry. The screen reference for HALB is also set as Opt entry. Still i m not able to find the field auto PO in the purchasing field.
So does it mean that a material once created without auto PO enabled or visible can never be updated after that? But i think its not the case and we should be able to edit it(correct me if im wrong).
Really having my fingers crossed to find a solution for this issue.

I currently run OS X 10.10.1
Now i have been trying to work on this for a while now and what i want to do should be simple but its apparently not.
Here is an example of what i want to happen.
I will have 2 tabs: Contact | Sales
Now Contacts will have the list of names and various information about a customer, While Sales will have one drop-down box for each Cell Row that will show the names of the person in tab contacts
for what i am wanting to do i cant use the data format pop-up menu because the list is edited everyday several times a day.
Now how do i do this, Excel can do this so how can numbers do it?

How do can I have the form fill in a check box if the user has entered text in a textbox?

I have a form that is submitting an xml data file that is picked up by MS Word and used to populate a document. However, there's a 'Miscellaneous' field where the user can type in addtional information that would not drop easily into the Word document (exceptions, items not on the drop down lists, etc.). I'd like to test to see if that Miscellaneous field has infomation in it and if it does, to set a invisible checkbox to "1" so that I can insert a text message in the Word document that there's additional information in the .pdf form that will have to be addressed manually in the Word document.
I've tried

but while it doesn't generate a Javascript error, it doesn't set the value either, and I haven't found any function that checks for whether a field is empty. I'm sure there's got to be a way to do this, but I'm stumped. Any help greatly appreciated!

It appears you are using LiveCycle Designer, so you will have to use the syntax of FormCalc or LiveCycle Designer JavaScript.
For FormCalc:

Object Model - cl_salv_hierseq_table Check box in the parent entry

I am doing a report with cl_salv_hierseq_table (Object Model) , in that i need to put a check box in the t_table_level1 level. I know that SALV is not have an option to edit.
My requirement is from the list user select multiple parent entries (ie t_table_level1 ) and selected entries must be converted to web template and send to HTML repository.
Currently i am struck up with creating a check box in HIERSEQ list

Urgent Help Required for Check Box in Table Column

Hi all,
Could any body help me to solve my problem?
First of all I have created a table whose one column is check box. The column of the tables are Name,Phone,ID,Address and a checkBox columns.In one view
the table will be found with data. I want to click on some of the rows(suppose there are 5 rows, but based on some condition I have selected the check box of 3 rows).
Next there will be a button(Supose SEND Button).
After selecting the check box I want to press that button and then a new window will come which will show two tables. one for selected rows(with the same columns name except check box) and another for Unchecked rows with the same column name(Name,Phone,ID,Address).
Could any body help me by sending the details and code?

Hi Sudip,
1) create custom controller and appropriate context structure there (dataNode(Name,Phone,ID,Address,Check))
2) create view StartView. Map data node from custom controller to node in view. Create table and bind context node attributes to appropriate table columns.
3) create view ResultView. Map data node from custom controller to node in view. Create 2 nodes (CheckedData, UncheckedData) with supply methods. Create filtering implementation in supply methods (add checked and unchecked node elements to appropriate nodes).
4) create new window with resultView as default view
4) in startView in button action handler put something like
     IWDWindowInfo _windowInfo = wdComponentAPI.getComponentInfo().findInWindows("Popup");
     IWDWindowManager manager = wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager();
     IWDWindow _window = manager.createWindow(_windowInfo, true);
     _window.open();
So, just tried localy and it works.

Hide "more" button in a list view, only works for first item in the list

I have the following code in a list view that outputs several dozen items in a web app. The code only works for the first item, how can I make it loop through and execute the test for each item in the list view? The {tag_hide more button} is a checkmark field that yields a numeric 1" if checked otherwise yields a numeric "0".

What's the URL for the site where you are using this? Offhand, it looks like it should work with your first example so you are either placing the script before those elements are loaded or you might try wrapping your current javascript inside the:
$(document).ready(function() {
--- your existing javascript here
This make sure the code runs once all the html is loaded on the page. Without seeing a URL and debugging with the js console in Chrome I can't give you a solid answer.
But, I do know that you can probably do this with a lot less markup. Once we figure out what the actual problem is I have a better solution mocked up for you on jsfiddle.
When looking at my HTML code on jsfiddle, please realize I setup some dummy HTML and removed your tags and added actual values which would be output by your tags. The main thing I did was remove the whole div.more-selection and instead, added a "data-is-selected" attribute on your div.more-option element. Then, in my javascript for each div.my-option element on the page, we loop through them, find the value of that data attribute and hide that div if it's less than 1 (or 0).

You'll see in the end result that only two divs show up, both of those divs have data-is-selected="1".
You can try pasting the javascript code near the closing </body> tag on your page and make sure to wrap my js inside a <script> tag, obviously. My way is neater on the markup side. If you can't get it to work it's likely a jquery conflict issue. My version is using the $(document).ready() method to make sure all the code is loaded before it runs.

How to handle the check box in the alv tree display

Hello,
in my ALV Tree Report i have a check box in the output.
I have one check box in the selection screen as select all .
if this is selected then all the check boxes in the output must be selected that is (X).
am using CL_GUI_ALV_TREE for this.
Please give me some input how to make that check boxes 'X' in the above mentioned case.

How can I format a field to have a Check Box in the center.

I am a new adobe user and I am creating a form in Adobe LiveCycle Designer. Most of what I needed to do I was able to figure out, but I cannot find a way to place a Check Box in the center of a chosen field. Each time I use the Check Box from the library it automatically places the Box in the center-right of the field. Then when trying to format the paragraph, I get no options about where I'd like the box to reside within the field. Is there a simple way to get a Check Box into the center of a Field or will I have to pursue other options. If I do have to pursue other options are there any ways to limit a text to an X and have it either be On or Off?

This behaviors usually happens when you create the fields but a copy paste command from one of the fields. The copy paste command assumes that your intentions is to maintain a copy of the field in two separate locations (e.i, a form field "company name" printed in each and every page of a multi-page form document.
Go to the properties fields of each field and make sure to assign unique form field names.
