Event help please!!!

In a game I am currently making I have had some problems with The keyPressed() and keyReleased() methods. If i press spacebar to fire (its in keyReleased()) while i'm moving, my ship will stop (since the moving is controlled with keyPressed()). Also, on my computer I can move diagonally (ie hold two keys at once) but on my friends computer he can't. Third, my high score screen glitches if SHIFT is held down. So here are my questions:
Is there any way to use keyPressed() and keyReleased() at the same time, or do they always conflict?
Why is my friend's computer not registering two keyPressed()s at the same time, and is there any way i can fix this?
Is there any way to check if a key pressed/released/hit is a key that gives a valid ASCII character?
Any help is truly appreciated!!!
You need another thread I am betting. You should not do any work in the event thread. just get the data out of the event thread but your work should all be done in another thread, or else just what you are talking about will happen. when the event thread is interrupted, your app will stop.

Upgraded to Iphoto 9.5 now all my photos are in one event - Help please
I upgraded to iphoto 9.5.1 with the Mavericks update. Now all my photos (8,217) are in one event. I spent hours breaking them down into different events and now it's back to one. I tried repairing and rebuilding the database per other forum discussions but nothing changes.
I'd love some advice on how to re-organize the photos without having the manually recreate all the events.

When I add an event to calendar on my iphone, it updates on my MacBook Pro. But when I add it on my Mac, it does not update on my iPhone. Help please.
Change your time zones in the settings, They are not on the same time zones.

Hello. I am trying to investigate why my BB usage is so high and have come across some recorded event entries in the 'event log' which I would like explained. Is there an expert/moderator who can help please? What I am trying to establish is whether these entries could mean that there are outside users, using our broadband via P2P/Skype etc?. IMove 9... Project cannot locate clips after I chose "Split Event Before Clip." Help please!
iMovie 9; chose "Spit Event Before Clip." Project now cannot locate Event clips for that Project. All Events and Clips are on an extenal HD. All I see are !-points for all clips in the Project. Help!
I noticed another Event folder for the same clips so I "Merged" them. Still nothing. I've had nothing but problems with the waaay overdue project. I really need some help, please!

In order to fix this, I need to run:
PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade b2b -force -inplace -cmd application content -install -cmd install features
But SP doesn’t recognize “b2b”. is the the content or config db?

i dont know how i got my photos to my ipod touch from my pc and now i wanna delete them but couldn't. so need help. please let me know.
To turn off auto sync - launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices - check the box at the bottom that says - Prevent iPod, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Click OK and then quit iTunes.
Connect your iDevice to your PC.
Launch iTunes,
Click on the device name on the left side of the iTunes Window.
Click on the Photos Tab in the iTunes window on the right.
Untick all of the photos or albums that you want to remove.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
If you untick or uncheck the Sync Photos heading and then click Apply it will remove all of the photos from the device when it syncs. In this screenshot - I have only certain albums and events selected to sync. -
LR6 freezing on full screen. Help please?
I have just got LR6 (WINDOWS 64x). When I use the Full Screen (or F key shortcut) I cannot exit the full screen without using Task Manager (Ctrl/Alt/Delete)and ending task (ie, LR). When I do this LR closes without saving, or having the option to save, the catalogue. This is most frustrating and time wasting. Also now do not have the ability to view images on the full screen. LR6 works OK providing that I don't use the full screen option. I have also noticed that the image processing/loading is noticeably slower. My graphics processor checks out OK. Help please???
I'm sorry, but I am a bit out of ideas here.
I suppose the rest of your system like RAM is well enough too.
Does the Windows event log have any entry after the freeze? Too bad it's not BSOD - that would at least show a hint where the issue might be.
FWIW, I'd try with an older graphic card driver as well - you never know. -

Do you have location services turned on? See Settings > Privacy > Location Services
In any event Maps can be used to obtain directions by supplying the start and end locations after touching "Directions" in the upper left corner. -

I designed a JFrame game, that uses gif files as ImageIcons. The game works perfectly when I run it from console with the java.exe command.
However; now I want to create a wraparound and run the JFrame in the Internet Explorer from an applet. So I created a new file that extends JApplet; this new file creates a new object of the JFrame-game's class and show()'s it.
And I created an HTM file that runs the JApplet class. However, the internet explorer cannot open the applet because it has trouble loading the pictures (gif files). How can I load the pictures from my applet for my frame???
I dont want to change the Java security file. I just want to make the images accessible by my applet. I cannot use commands like setImage in my applet because my JFrame sets the Images.
(I repeat)My JApplet only invokes an object of my JFrame class and shows it.

My JFrame reads pictures and assigns JButtons pictures. when I run the frame there are 16 buttons with the same picture, and when I click the buttons there is a listener in the JFrame that changes the pictures. Simply put, the JFrame has no trouble finding and loading the pictures.
Then I created a JApplet as follows:

i'm trying to design a program where by i can load dynamic classes
the problem i'm getting is that only one class is loading.
classes are loaded by their names,and index numbers of public methods from a linklist
.When the program runs only the first class is ever loaded and only the methods of that class ..

So far, only the first class is ever instantiated and runs fine. But subsequent classes do not even get pass the "... ... Class.forName(...).newInstance();" line.
Funny thing is that there are also no exceptions. The JVM just seem to hang there. -
Blast speed is currently 2 Mbps/9 Mbps on the Comcast Speed Test. Help please!
I've had the Blast service for quite some time, and have noticed painfully slow internet browsing for the last couple of months. I mean...pull-my-hair-out-slow. I just did a Comcast speed test and the results were 2.31 Mpbs and 9.01 Mpbs. Um....that would explain things. But not really... as I'd love to see the speeds I'm supposed to have. Even double digits would be nice! I'm trying to run ShaperProbe but I get the error "Servers are busy. Try again later." I've tried a few times. I'll post the results if I can get the scan to work. ShaperProbe has not been usable for some time, unfortunately. Check to see if Comcast is reporting an outage for your area by logging in to https://customer.xfinity.com/Secure/MyServices/ or by checking the voice response system at 1-800-Comcast.
If no outage is reported, see Connection Troubleshooting Tips. If you want to troubleshoot this yourself and still need help, please provide Information Requested for Connection-Related Posts.
If you are using Wifi it's best to switch to an Ethernet connection if possible while measuring speed and checking the reliability of your connection to Comcast.
If you'd rather have them do the troubleshooting call them at the phone number on your bill or 1-800-Comcast and have them send a tech out to identify the cause and correct it.
If the tech finds bad coax, splitters, amplifiers, or connections in your home (even if Comcast originally supplied them) you'll probably have to pay for the visit unless you have their Service Protection Plan (http://www.xfinity.com/spp/, about $5/mo). If the trouble is due to a faulty Comcast modem, eMTA, gateway device, or anything outside your home, you shouldn't be charged.

Lightroom Brushes are adding a Tint, even images converted to B&W
I'm using Lightroom 4.4 on Mac. Having an issue where all brushes and graduated filters are adding a warm yellow tint, no matter what the color settings are for the brush. The tint persists, even if I convert the image to B&W within Lightroom.
