Event ID 8010 : message rejected by remote server

Hi All
We have had a 2010 server running for about 2 months now and are in the process of moving users off out 2003 box and onto to the 2010 box. all seems to be running but seem to be getting the following event on the CAS server:
A message with the Internal Message ID #### was rejected by the remote server.  This message will be deferred and retried because it was marked for retry if rejected.  Other messages may also have encountered this error.
i have googled this and all it says to do is run the get-message command which i have done but i do not see any errors or anything just seems like the message queue
can anyone give me any ideas of what this message means and how to troubleshoot it?
Thanks

I refer to this
event infor 8010, you may refer to the link if you haven read it.
When you run get-message, IncludeRecipientInfo parameter should be included.
Have you refer to queue viewer and tracking log to see what is the error explained?
If both does not working, you may do a
smtp telnet to get what is the error response received

From which account does the email not send?  When sending from an account, the iPad will first try to use the aoutgoing server for that account.  If it can't it will try the other accounts listed.in the setting on the iPad for that account.  It soulds like the server for the account is not working and that the alternate server is resjecting the messag since it did not originate ffrom the account associated with that server,  That is to prevent sending spam.

  • Consuming message from a remote server

I am trying to follow the [JMS examples|http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/bnchp.html] in the Java EE 5 Tutorial. I was successfully able to perform all the steps:
    1. building and deploying the MDB
    2. setting up the JMS resources on both EE servers
    3. running the app client.
I cannot however reproduced the expected result. The application runs without any error and appears to send the messages to the queue. The MDB however does not appear to be picking up the messages (messages are not written to the remote server's log file)
Am I doing anything wrong? I have turned off the firewall on both machines. I am sure that the configuration is correct as I used ant build.xml that came with the example code to perform all of the actions.
    Thanks

I am using Sun Java System Application Server 9.1
I just found half of the solution. While looking at the logs, I noticed that my local machine was trying to access 127.0.1.1 (not a typo, was definitely not 127.0.0.1) so I checked configuration on the remote machine. Turns out that there was an entry in the /etc/hosts file for oceanic (my remote server) mapping it to 127.0.0.1. Apparently this is the ip address that the remote server returns causing subsequent access attempts from my local machine to fail. All I did was to change the entry so it has the correct ip address for the remote machine.
After doing so, I could now flush the message queue of the remote server from the local machine.
One problem remains. A servlet I have on the local machine sends a message to the queue. There is no error so it looks like the message gets to the queue. The MDB on the remote server however does not get triggered when the message arrives.
    Almost there ...
Here's my configuration (i decided to create my own test program instead of the client app in the example. My real application sends messages from a servlet)
Local Server: SJSAS 9.1 on Windows XP
One servlet sendMessage which sends a message to the pspoolQueue
    JMS Resources:
Connection : jms/pspoolConnectionFactory with AddressList property with value oceanic (the name of my remote server)
Destination: jms/pspoolQueue name: pspoolQueue Type: Queue
Remote Server: SJSAS 9.1 on Windows XP
    JMS Resources:
    Connection : jms/pspoolConnectionFactory
Destination: jms/pspoolQueue name: pspoolQueue Type: Queue
The MDB gets "fired" if I deploy it to the local machine (with no AddressList property in the JMS Connection factory of course). Now wondering why it isn't activated when message is sent on a remote queue.

    Hi,
i think this has to do with the "Document Conversions Load Balancer Service".
If you don't need the service than try to stop it:
Start Central Administration > Operations > Services and stop the service.
    or
If you need it the service, try this:
Start Central Administration > Operations > Service Account
Change the service account to "Document Conversions Load Balancer Service" And Select a "Network Services" Click Save
    Hope this helps!

Hi and thanks again for trying to help.
    Definitely works ok from pc.
Have deleted and re-established account a few times now but still the same.
I have actually given up and added gmail account which is working fine.
    Sends and receives no problem.
    Bloody bigpond....
We are not remote at all. Sitting in the fantastic Pavilion Hotel in Phnom Penh. Another couple here having trouble but not bigpond. Hotel staff have tried to help but to no avail.
Giving up and stick with gmail until we get home then start trying to get resolution.
Problem actually existed on a personal wi fi network in Melbourne before we left so I should have tried to resolve it then.
    Thanks again for suggestions.

  • Exchange 2013 CAS server returned '500 Message rejected'

    Hi, all.
Exchange 2013 with CAS server and 2 mailbox servers. Health checks are all 100% healthy.
One of our users cannot receive email from an external user. Our CAS server keeps rejecting the message. I can trace the message and see that it did indeed hit our servers, and was rejected. But I cannot find out WHY it was rejected.
Here is the Delivery Report from the EAC:
Delivery Report for               NAME ‎([email protected])
    Failed
    3/30/2015 1:41 PM <CAS servername>
    The message couldn't be delivered.
    [{LRT=};{LED=500 Message rejected};{FQDN=};{IP=}]
The external user gets this NDR:
<our local CAS servername> gave this error:
    Message rejected
In the Diagnostic information for administrator section:
<our local CAS servername> returned '500 message rejected'
followed by the Original message headers. I think I'm looking for some more verbose logging to see what rule or configuration rejected the message. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Dan

My main question: how can I see what triggered my CAS server to reject this message with error 500?
Our user can receive email from other external senders ok. It seems to be just this one sender having trouble.
Our transport rules are not complex, and I see no rules that would block this sender or domain.
We use Exchange Online Protection. The message gets through EOP and hits our CAS server. The CAS server rejects the message - it never gets to the Client.
The CAS server gives the error 500 - but that's all I can find. I need a command or somewhere to look to see what triggered the 500 error.
I've posted the NDR received by the sender and scrubbed our identifying information.
Rcn.com looks like the sender's online forwarding host - the spf record for senderdomain.net points back to rcn.com. I've run an spf record check and it passes, so I do not believe that is the issue.
    Here is the NDR:

"Your email account" means to tap on the name of your email account. Whatever it is listed as in the settings.
In my mail settings, one of my email accounts is a Comcast account. I tap on the Comcast name and it brings up this window.
Then I tap on the arrow under the Outgoing mail server smtp setting to get to the next window.
In the resulting window, I then tap on the arrow next to the smtp server under the Primary Server setting.
That brings up this window in which I check to make sure that my user name and password have been entered correctly. If those items are missing, enter them in the appropriate fields and then tap done.
