Event.MOUSE_DOWN freezes my app

My class extends Applet class, and I have an application which has a couple of buttons and text fields. However, the problems occur with events in
public boolean handleEvent(Event event) method.
I have a bug which freezes my application when the user doesn't click on any particular button or text field but instead clicks within the app window frame. After that point I have to click outside the main window in order to "unfreeze" the app.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Could you describe some more clearly what this 'mouse-down' should do? I think we can answer your question better then.
For now perhaps your handle-event does not call it's parent method?

}However I suggest you use the 1.1 event model instead of the 1.0. Unless you really need to do it this way.

Well, yes, data does get corrupted sometimes.
The trick is finding what data.
By 'cleaned' are you therefor meaning that the drive has been erased and the system re-installed?
Because that's the quickest way to deal with such a situation.
Back up the system first of course,
Add back 3rd party apps one at a time in case one of them is causing the problem.

These selections work in the Google Calendar. but I cannot find the way to do it in the standard ipad or iphone calendar
all I can find to select are "Monthly , weekly , . I want to be able to select "day of the week " or "day of the month" Thanks ,

The iPhone/iPad version of iCal doesn't have this option, but the Mac desktop version does (assuming you use a Mac). Follow the directions below and then sync your device with your Mac and the repeating event will appear in your mobile device.
Open iCal on the desktop. Make a new event. Double click on the event and then click "edit." Change the repeat option to "Custom..." Select frequency as "monthly." Click the bottom radio button that says "on the" to enable you to set which day to repeat on. Close the event info window and then sync your device.
I hope they enable this option in the mobile software soon. It is a glaring omission for a calendar program.
P.S., sorry, I just noticed you didn't include a Mac in your hardware list. I don't know how you'd accomplish this with Windows. Maybe this post will help someone else, though.

Right now, I am using this below mentioned event

CurrentWindow_VisibilityChanged;, but it fires even when app relaunches.
Please anybody help me to solve this issue.

Unknown events in the photos app

After Install 5.1 there are unknown events in the photos app like 137imprt or 138imprt and so on. Is there a way to delete them, I already delete all pctures in this folders.

I found this work arround:
first I opened the empty folder, than I added one (old) picture in this folder, opened the picture, deleted this picture - and then disappeared not only this picture even the folder!

I am also having this issue but just since updating OS and pages in December. I have a purchased copy of Pages and keep all software updates current. I am running Pages 08 version 3.0.3 on an Imac running OS X version 10.9.1
I have not seen any replies in the forums that would resolve this issue.

Photo events empty to other apps

Hi all, since updating to 4.3 on the iPad
(original), some (maybe half) of the events in the photo app dont show in other apps, for example, Pages and graphic apps. They show fine the actual Photo app though. The events that are empty to other apps also show a scrambled image as the event thumbnail when looking through the events.
Anyone else have this issue and/or found a fix.

Open Iphoto.
Select all events
Open "Batch Change"
Set "Date" as current date
It will then set all time the same
It will then sort by event name
Sync and all events will be in alphabetized ord
got this from another thread, def fixed the problem but makes all the dates the same (forcing it to use alphabetical). Hopefully new OS will solve this nuisance bug/feature!

How recently did you backup your iPad? You can restore from that backup, which would, at least, restore calendar entries from the date of that backup.

Can't add/modify/delete events from iPad calendar app after updating to iOS-5

Ever since I upgraded the OS on my iPad, I haven't been able to delete/modify events on the calendar app. I have to do it on my Mac first then sync my iPad to it. How do I fix this. Can't delete Calendar app & reinstall.

Have you restarted the iPad? some have reported that restarting it, by holding down the sleep and home key until you see the silver apple, can resolve the issue.

Printing freezes KDE apps

Trying to access the print dialog, either using ctrl-p or through the menu, freezes KDE applications. I've tried Okular, Gwenview, Kmail, and they all exhibit the same issue. Has anybody run into the same problem?
I'm using KDEmod 4.2.3, but I was also having the same issue before, and I tried pacman -Syu to see if updates would resolve the problem. I didn't really check if my KDEmod version was upgraded, but like I said, the problem occurred before my last -Syu.
As you can imagine, this is pretty frustrating...I've been tempted to switch out of Okular for now, just until I can print from it again. But I view pdfs more than I print them out, so I can't (yet) justify putting Okular down for a while since it's so solid as a viewer. KDE4 printing, in general, has been seriously hobbled and torturous to work with. I hear a lot of the fault goes to Qt, but that's really not a great excuse when trying to produce a viable desktop for power-users. At least get me something I can access CUPS settings with, so I don't have to kick up the clunky web interface everytime I want to change a setting...

I have two printers:
1) Phaser 6250 (networked postscript)
2) HP Deskjet 6840 (wireless)
installed KDEmod 4.2.4 (i686)
no problem with printing from kde apps (okular and kate)
so it is possible that there is a bug, but another option is that you have some problems with cups configuration?
it is difficult to say what is going on as you have not provided any more information except "printing is freezing KDE apps"

With iOS 7 and certain apps I get a message that ask me to connect to iTunes to receive notifications. After clicking "OK" it comes back repeatedly and freezes the App: Friends, Dropbox, among others. The only way to escape is to shut down and restart.

How can I solve it in orther to use the apps? It doesn´t occur with my iPad, only with my iPhone 5.

Freezing up & app server

Using JSC2 (build 060120) on a P4 2.6ghz w/2gig RAM, Win2K pro.
The development environment will freeze after developing for a while, say an hour, sometimes I get lucky and it is longer.
The problem appears to be communication with the bundled application server. Stopping and restarting the IDE does not solve the problem and is very difficult since the proces is being hogged down. The issue does not go away until I go into task manager and kill the appserv.exe process.
Are there any plans to be able to connect directly to tomcat or other application servers instead of Sun's app server?

I do have OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space messages in my output, but they are hours after the originally reported issue. I have seen those on previous days and simply closing down the GUI and killing the server took care of those.
In the case yesterday, the app server seemed to take over the machine, the GUI and nearly everything else crept to a halt pretty much until I killed the application server.

Event Structure Freezes Vi After Capturing The First Event

My Event structure catches the first instance of my button press but then it freezes my Vi. The reason is because of the while loop but I need the while loop to constantly read from a serial port and send data to a serial port. The vi included is stripped down to be just a while loop that does nothing. I have also tryed putting the event structure in the while loop, but the same thing is happening.
Any ideas?

Also, put the button inside the event structure where it is acted upon, from LV help (suggest you read the entire events section of help):
When you trigger an event on a Boolean control configured with a latching mechanical action, the Boolean control does not reset to its default value until the block diagram reads the terminal on the Boolean control. You must read the terminal inside the event case for the mechanical action to work correctly. As a reminder, a note appears in the Edit Events dialog box when you configure a Value Change event on a latched Boolean control.

AS3 is there an event for when Android app is exiting on it's own?

Ok, I made an app for Android. And when we push the middle button or back(lefthandside) button of Android phone, we all know that Android apps still runs in the background.
So my code is this:
the first line(addEventListener) is in a private function which runs as soon as you open the app.

Basically, I want saveProgress() to run when the app ACTUALLY exits from running in the background. I noticed that my app actually exits when I open another app like Candy Crush. I guess the Android OS exits apps automatically when the apps are not being used and when the app you are using takes a lot of RAM. However, my code only works when I run my app in AIR Debug Launcher(Mobile). I know that because I see the trace in the function in my output window when I click on the x button on the right corner of the app window. But when I connect my Android phone to the computer and then ---> AIR3.8 for Android settings ---> Publish, and then I "Begin Remote Debug Session", and on my Android phone, I open my app first, then open Candy Crush so that the Android OS automatically exits my app, I don't see the trace. So I finalized that the code didn't work on my phone.

How to manage Events in the new app Photo ?

I downloaded the new app Photo, and I have a big problem of using : I can't use the same way of managing my photos than iPhoto.
In the previous iPhoto, I create "Events" and these events constitute a "album".
For example, I have iPhoto Events "Soho", "Tower Of London", "Pub with friends" etc in the album "London", which operate like a Playist.
Since I have been using Photo, my iPhoto events became Albums, and the new Events are Moments, that we cannot rename !
The problem is when I am in the London Album, I can't reach my event "Pub with friends" directly, I can only reach the Moment, with a non-explicite name... So I don't know where I was, that's catastrophic for me and my XXX photos..
How can I do to avoid this lost of information ? It's not possible to rename all the Moments by the name of the old events ?
I liked this way of classification, Apple stucked us in this way and now changes the rules !

Do you mean that the contextual menu will only offer "Show in Moments"? The moments are more useful, if you assign locations by adding GPS tags to your photos before importing them to Photos. Moments are based on dates and locations. That will take care of the "where I was".
If your photos have GPS assigned, you can click the name of the location in the Moment and see the photos on an Map, for example:
Click the location name "Cutty Sark" and you will see the the map:
And the map in Moments:
