You showed a kernel panic file from OS X, apprantly Log Me In is installed into OS X or running when you log in.
You should be using the developers installer/unistaller to remove Log Me In from OS X.
Somehow it's in OS X, I don't know, but it's there and you need to remove it. I'm not dealing with Windows, just OS X.
Talk to Log Me In people and find out what is installed where so you can do a manual deletion out of OS X.
If that doesn't work, you have to reboot holding the Shift key down manually search for any Log Me In or Himachi files on your computer, in your System/Library/Extensions folder too, use the free Easy Find.

  • Why do I have to select my network using Network Diagnostics every time I turn on my MacBook Pro and go to Safari?

Every time I turn on my MacBook Pro, before I can use any programs that access the internet (i.e. iTunes, iBank, etc), I have to go into Safari where it prompts me to perform network diagnostics.  (I use a wep encrypted wireless network.)
During network diagnostics, I select my network and at some point it tells me that my network appears to be working properly and then defaults to the Apple.com webpage.  I then Quit network diagnostics and exit Safari and then I am fine to do whatever I need to in the other programs.
This is quite annoying and I wish it would just remain on my network without me having to do this every time I turn it on.  Is there some thing I can do or some setting that I am missing that would allow me to avoid this?

    Is your network hidden? See:
    WiFi, Internet problems, possible solutions
    Secure your network

Change the name of the network and the password, then connect manually and when it asks to save in Keychain do so.
If it's still giving problems and it'a not the router, it's the computer, then go through this list.

  • Every time i turn on my macbook pro, it gives me the message: "Your computer was shut down last time because of a problem" even though it only happened once last week

My computer crashed lasts week. And now, every time I turn on my computer, at the login screen it says that my computer shut down last time because of a problem, and gives me the option to restore my windows, i've tried both options, it still comes back.
My computer is a macbook pro mid 2010 running OS X 10.9.1
comment if you need any more information
    Thanks for the help!

First boot into Safe Mode, Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode, and then reboot again normally.  The safe mode boot will take longer as it runs repair procedures during the boot.
If that fixes the problem I'd also update the system to the latest 10.9.4 via the  OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 Update

Which model do you have? If a mid-2010 15", there are known problems with the GPU and the logic board will be replaced free.
    Clinton
The Mid 2010 15-inch MacBook Pro problems are related to kernel panics, so the GPU is still working. In the case of the OP, the GPU has stopped working completely, so his/her problem doesn't belong to the kernel panic problem, so the OP may have to pay. I may be wrong.
Also, the 10.8.4 update won't help as this is a hardware problem, but it's always good to keep OS X updated

  • Why is my 15'' macbook pro Early 2011 slowing down in performance often?

Why is my 15'' macbook pro Early 2011 slowing down in performance often? It's barely got anything in it and it lags alot of times. This is supposedly running on quad-core i7 2.2 yet I have to restart at times to make sure it gets better. Why is that so?
I turn on activity monitor and there aren't even anything taking up power or memory. It just lags out of the blue.

Activity Monitor may still offer a clue. By default, it shows only "My Processes," those related to your user account. To see the real picture, you need to set AM to show "All Processes" as in this view:
Click the header "%CPU" to sort by usage. Most true resource hogs are only apparent in this view.

  • Boot usb macbook pro early 2011

    Hello guys
i'm trying to install windows (i have a legit license key) on my macbook pro early 2011 (i5 @ 2.3ghz, 4GB DDR3 1333MHZ) through usb because my superdrive is dead and i don't have dvds to burn. i modified the info.plist to make the bootcamp assistant capable to make a bootable usb key of my iso (it's just adding my references to the plist so it recognize it as a macbook without superdrive, no big deal). but when i rebooted my laptop, it says no bootable disk please insert and hit enter. so i did, but it did anything. at the boot menu (cmd or alt button when booting) it shows only the macintosh hd (lion partition) and the recovery hd (lion installer) but the bootcamp partition was made properly in fat32 and so on... i tried to boot on the key but no way it wont.
my question is : is there ANY way to boot from that f*****n usb key? i saw that rEFIt can make it but i don't trust in that software (have no warrenty if a screw something i'm the screwed one loooool)

Can't be done, sorry. You'll need to repair or replace your SuperDrive.

My macbook pro (August 2010) keeps freezing when apple mail starts up. This happens every 2nd time I turn on my Macbook Pro. This forces me to hold down the power button to restart my Macbook Pro. Does anyone else experience this, and is there a fix? Thx.
since upgrading to OS lion, my mac book pro (2010 August) keeps freezing (non responsive, requires restart) when i turn on my mac and the system is trying to open apple mail. while apple mail is attempting to collect new mail, the macbook pro freezes. this happens every 2nd time i try to start up my computer. this only started happening after i upgraded to OS lion. please let me know what I need to do to fix this. being forced to restart every 2nd time i turn on my macbook pro has been very frustrating. not sure if apple mail is also the cause of my macbook pro for being very slow during start-up (on the occasion the computer doesn't freeze).

I am having similar 'freezing' problems with many programs (Mail, Safari, iTunes, etc.). I have done a clean install of Lion instead of an upgrade when it came out. Perhaps something went wrong with my install? I'm thinking about wiping and reinstalling.

  • Macbook air Wi Fi and sound stops every time it goes to sleep. i have to  restart it every time to use wifi and sounds. this started happening just after the latest upgrade to X. any reasons why its doing that and how to fix it.

Macbook air Wi Fi and sound stops every time it goes to sleep. i have to  restart it every time to use wifi and sounds. this started happening just after the latest upgrade to OS X. any reasons why its doing that and how to fix it.

Test after taking each of the following steps. Back up all data before making any changes.
    1. Make sure the network is on the preferred list by following these instructions. It's important to read the article carefully, as it's the starting point for any further efforts to solve the problem. If you skip any of the steps, the problem may not be solved.
    2. Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading "Symptom: The network connection drops unexpectedly."
    3. Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
    4. From the Location menu at the top of the Network preference pane, select Edit Locations. A sheet will drop down. Click the plus-sign button to create a new location. Give it any name you want. In the new location, set up the Wi-Fi service with the same settings you used before. Click Apply and test.
    5. Launch the Keychain Access application. Search for and delete all AirPort network password items that refer to the network. Make a note of the password first.
    6. In some cases, the problem has been resolved by repairing permissions on the startup volume.
    7. Turn off Bluetooth and test.
    8. Reinstall OS X.

  • Macbook Pro(Early 2011) not turning on; Flashing Orange Light on Charger

So yesterday, I did a teardown of my Macbook pro (early 2011) in an effort to clean the keyboard because some keys weren't working. I used rubbing alcohol and As I was putting the keyboard and trackpad connectors back in, I heard the computer making a startup/shut down noise so; I realized I neglected to unplug the battery - out of fear of shock and impulse, I unplugged the battery quickly. The computer shut off and, ever since then, my computer won't turn on. When I plug in the charger; it initially gives me a very faint green light, and when I hold on the power button it changes into a very dim orange blinking light.
    I've tried:
    1) Resetting the SMC (No such luck)
    2) Unplugging the battery; letting the charger charge the motherboard overnight (No luck)
I'd really appreciate some fresh ideas; just to reitterate, it only stopped working the second I impulsively unplugged the charger. So, can a battery die from something like that? Short circuit? Any advice would be really appreciated as I'm in the middle of finals week and really need it.

My only issue with that is that there weren't any hardware issues before i decided to open it up. I know the apple people will be very eager to charge me for something in not convinced is a hardware issue. I just get the feeling i screwed something up while I was putting it back together. I'll post a picture of my logic board soon to see if there's something obvious I'm missing

  • 15in Macbook Pro early 2011 won't shutoff nor can I run disk utilities. Any suggestions?

    Situation:
I have a 15in Macbook Pro early 2011 that I can not shutdown nor can I run disk utility to repair any issues. I recently had it serviced to replace a failing hard drive.
    Known issues:
         - Disk Utility: Will not respond. A couple days ago I had to run it to repair some damage to harddrive. When I try to open it, it is frozen with the rainbow ball.
         - Shutdown: I can not shutdown or restart my computer as it freezes during shutdown with grey screen. I can manually turn it on and off by holding down the      power button.
         - Disc Drive: This may not be related but I can not eject DVD in the disc drive.
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. I currently live overseas (for school) so just going to an Apple store is not really a realistic option for me at this time. Thanks

Take it back to where you had it serviced, there is usually a ~90 day guarantee
you can force a shutdown by holding the power button for longer than usual.

  • My MacBook Pro (Early 2011) will constantly loose it's internet connection.

Okay, so I have wireless internet service which works great. I have an android smartphone, an HP laptop and a MacBook Pro (early 2011). My android smartphone and my hp computer both connect perfectly to the wireless network. On the other hand, my Mac connects at times but it rapidly looses connection. All of the wifi bars on the mac appear as if the computer was connected, but there is no connection. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's getting very annoying because I have to turn my wifi (on the mac) on and off to get internet connection again. I would really like to receive uninterrupted internet coverage on all my devices, including my mac. PLEASE HELP!

I am having the same issue. My macbook pro is one of the models from late last year. Within the past few weeks I have been getting disconnected from my wifi for no reason. It still shows that I am connected but nothing will load. When I dissconect and reconnect it loads up fine and everything works again, though in another 10 minutes it will crash again.

  • MacBook Pro (Early 2011) No Wifi Hardware Installed

    Please help me! I'm confused.
My 13" MacBook Pro (Early 2011) Keeps saying that No WIFI Hardware is installed.
My Mac has been running great until earlier this week. I turned it off one night before bed and then the next morning as I switched it on, it said there was no WIFI hardware installed. I launched recover mode which is when I figured my WIFI works in recovery mode just not in the Mac itself. I reinstalled a fresh copy of OS X Yosemite which worked for a day, but sure thing the next day I loaded the Mac and then there was the same issue. So I reinstalled OS X Yosemite... AGAIN!! this time I hit an error, Yosemite had deleting my recovery drive and unmounted my Macintosh HD but thats anther story to fix another time. Once I finally repaired my disk to install Yosemite my WIFI was working again... until I restarted my Mac and it went off and the error reappeared. Luckily Apple released OS X 10.10.2 so I plugged in the ethernet and installed it which has fixed my WIFI... for now, I'm to scared to restart my Mac. Does Anyone know what is going on? Thank you
Like I said when it gives the error (No WIFI Hardware installed) the wifi connects in recovery just not on my Mac OS. I'm currently using my Mac to submit this question and all seems fine so far.
    Thanks again.

Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
    1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
        b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
    2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
    4. Reinstall Yosemite: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.
    5. Reinstall Yosemite from Scratch:
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
How to Clean Install OS X Yosemite
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • Will Windows 7 Pro run with 16GB of Ram in Macbook Pro Early 2011 13-inch?

Will Windows 7 Pro run with 16GB of Ram in Macbook Pro Early 2011 13-inch?, Does the brand of the Ram matter ?
I installed Crucial 16 gb and the Mac runs just fine but Windows won't start. It gets to the login screen then it turns white.

I decided to make another try today after some reading and googling the internet.
I started windows with my old 4GB memory and changed the bootconfiguration with msconfig. I typed manually in max memory tp 16384 MB and saved the settings. Then I turned it off and inserted the 16GB ram again. Then it started really but when looking at the properties of my computer it says 16 GB installed but I can only use 2,16GB. So I opened msconfig again and changed the settings once more and restarted. Now it says 16GB installed but I can use 14,2GB so I guess it is ok now for some strange reason. I suppose the lost 1,8GB is for the system ?? Do I dare to turn it off again :-) what will it say next time ?
I am so happy and greatful for all your help, I really really appreciate it and I hope my solution will come to use for someone else with same problem.
    Thank You all :-)

  • HT201257 Holding down "D" no longer starts Apple Hardware Test!  Any idea what's happened and how I fix it?  Or do I need to go to the Genius Bar?  MacBook Pro with Lion Preinstalled.

I have a MacBook Pro with Lion Preinstalled, so AHT was present on the hard disc and worked when the product was new.  One of the first things I did from new was run AHT and it worked fine.  But now it doesn't start - instead the machine (eventually) boots into normal OS X.
Holding down "D" no longer starts Apple Hardware Test!  Any idea what's happened and how I fix it?  Or do I need to go to the Genius Bar?
Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 (11D50b), if it makes any difference.
    Any ideas?

Thanks.  However, even with an internet connection that doesn't work for me - the machine just (after an extended delay) boots normally.  It doesn't download.
Option-D works for an Internet-based AHT.  However that only works with an internet connection.  It doesn't seem to download it and install it - it needs internet every time.
Any idea how my local copy of AHT disappeared?  I haven't repartitioned the drive or knowingly deleted anything.  And how do I reinstate it (because if you need AHT your hardware problems may preclude internet access!)?

  • My Macbook Pro (Early 2011) is freezing nearly everyday?

    Hi
My Macbook Pro (Early 2011, purchased at launch) is freezing nearly everyday. This problem exists for a long time (Since purchase). Whenever I let my macbook turned on, it freezes after some time. (Quite often in the night). I do not have any hardware hungry applications running. The freezes occure at normal usage. The only way to solve the freez is a complete hardreset.
I do not have any idear why this problem occures.

So, here is the copy of the console...
the freeze must be happened at 06:51
