Excel files in OC4J

Question

Hi:
I have an application that has to load an excel file using an html index that points to a particular sheet in that file:
If i open the index.htm file, and try to open the excel file, it opens in the browser (Internet Explorer of course) with no problem; but that is when the file is pointing to the xls file in the local file system
But when i upload both files in my application, and load the index.htm file in a frameset and click over any of the links, instead of opening the xls file, it displays garbage like this

Even if i try to open the link: http://10.1.1.53:8988/stgcPortal/uploads/bulletin/docDePrueba02.xls
it shows me nothing but garbage.
Is there any known problem trying to access an excel file through this port or the oc4j server ???

Sounds like the content type is not being set right by OC4J. I know we you are using Apache that you can set this when via the magic file. Are you using OC4J as standalone web server or are you using it as part of OAS and therefore are using Oracle HTTP Server (i.e. Apache)?
