I am doing a file-RFC-file scenario. This is based on the blog: /people/arpit.seth/blog/2005/06/27/rfc-scenario-using-bpm--starter-kit The company ID is sent to the RFC through a xml file. RFC will return the company details which will be written again into a xml file.
My source file is getting picked up. But while sending the company ID to the RFC, i am getting an error. It says: Exception caught by adapter framework: RfcAdapter: receiver channel not in list of running clientPools:. I have checked the RFC and is running perfectly.
Can anybody help me to solve this error?

Hi,
it is better to restart the RFC adapter engine.
Is this RFC adapter is active in the Adapter Monitoring ?
Also change the RFC adapter configuration and activate it. Then activate the Receiver Agreement.
Also refer SAP note -730870 ( question no 17 and 20)

Exception caught by adapter framework: unable to create a socket

Hi All,
I am using Idoc to XI To SOAP scinario. I got a alert asying that some messsage id is error. When i am trying to monitor that massage by taking help of the messgae id in the alert the message was successful in the SXMB_MONI,. Then i Went to message monitoring There the message statu was syetem error. Errror log is *Exception caught by adapter framework: unable to create a socket*. The communication channel was inactive wehere as the statsu of the channel was active in the directory... what is the reasonm for this error. and how to resilev this.

As pointed already, a socket exception occurs when then message cannot pass the Firewall settings....there will be a port configured to send message to the SOAP receiver.....ask network guys to make relevant settings so that the port is free from Firewall restrictions.
@Supriya --> Active/ Inactive status of the channel in ID and in CC monitoring are different things.
To change the status of your CC in RWB --> Stop & Start your SOAP CC....the channel will remain inactive till no message is passed through it....once a message is passed the status will change to success/ error.
You can also change the CC status to Automatic.

My scenario is based file -->RFC with BPM (parforEach) and multimapping.
File adapter is picking data according to input file, but RFC couldn't able to process each split data. I am gettign following error.

yes i did with the custom Rfc and the result is still the same
and to be more confident i was creates another xi scenario from file to Standerd Bapi BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL by creating a simple file with only one field and mappedwith only the request Message type of this Bapi and tested it.
and even this scenario is also showing the same in reciever rfc and under runtime work ench its showing the same as my old scenario and it is as follows

Debugging for exceptions caught by adapter framework

I am getting an error ' Exception caught by adapter framework while processing message to remote system..'
Is there any way to debug in such cases.
while executing sxmb_moni i am getting status processed successfully but getting an error in the runtime workbench of XI in message monitoring for component adapter engine.

Tamoghna,
This error comes when the adapter is not able to communicate with the target system. eg, if it is a JMS scenario, and the host is not reachable then you get this error. If you are in a domain, try to give fully qualified system name or ip address.

Hi,
This posting is meant save time for anyone trying to specify a default web app
for each of their virtual hosts (as opposed to specifying a default web app for
each of their wl servers). This applies to weblogic 6.1, on NT. (I haven't tried
this on other platforms).
If you are trying to use the admin console to do this, give up. It's not possible.
The "Virtual Host/Configuration" window lets you specify everything about that
vhost configuration EXCEPT a default web app. (The "Default Web Application" drop
down menu will always have only one option to choose from: "none").
Instead, shutdown your server, and edit your domain's config.xml file manually.
Attached is an example config file that specifies that the web app "kz" should
be the default web app for the vhost "wl.kz.com", and that the web app "kahuna"
should be the default web app for the vhost "www.kahuna.com".

How to configure default parental settings for all users (10.7)?

I've made a silent installation of iTunes using MSI files and it works well.
I need to enable parental controls and configure it. Users must be preventing of changing these settings.
At the end of the iTunes installation I automatically created registry keys :

I use iTunes 64 bits on Windows 7 64 bits.
Where is the mistake?

Default access specifiers for void main()

I m having one problem that if i make void main(String a[])
syntax like private static void main(String args[]) and run using jdk1.4 it will run. So my question is that why this is possible still i making main() private. If i run it in jdk1.5.0 then it give error main is not public so what was the problem with the jdk1.4?

Process flow for initial data transfer is from R/3 (IDoc)>XI(XML)>SCM(XML)
We are using sap standard mappings to perform the conversion to XML. SXMB_MONI in XI shows "processed successfully" but getting error in runtime workbench in message monitoring of component 'adapter engine'. the error log is showing:

Hello Tamoghna,
If I've understood your scenario well, you should be using the IDoc Adapter. Assuming that you have an IDoc from the sending system, you need not do any XML conversion. This will avoid any XML related errors.
The error appears to be connection related. Please check that your Target system connection properties are defined in XI (TCode SM59). Also make sure the ALE name in the SLD is correct.

We are facing an issue for a File to websphere MQ (5.3) implementation.
When we run the interface , it is giving an error in the run time work bench , Adapter error:
Exception caught by adapter framework: null
Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: RecoverableException.
Would also like to know if we need to mention Channel Name while configuring the adapter.
we have already placed the required driver for WebSphere MQ in XI server i.e com.ibm.mq.jar , com.ibm.mqjms.jar ,com.ibm.mqbind.jar

Hi John,
If you are working with IBM MQ 5.3, you would also need connection.jar deployed in the JMS driver.
You can mention the MQ channel name in the Receiver channel configuration in XI.
Ensure that the listener service on this channel is started.

Sender Mail Adapter Error: exception caught during processing mail message;

HI , I am configuring mail to file scenario. Need to read mail content (no need to capture From,TO or Subject details) and create a file with the content in the mail.
Need to read mails from microsoft outlook. Exchange server has been configured for POP3 protocol.
Following are the details provoding in sender mail adapter:
URL: provided url in the format: pop://<server name>
Authentication method: plain
provided user credinetions to access mails.
poll interval - 1min
content encoding none.
processing parameters : quality of service-exactly once
Since there is no need to capture From,TO or Subject details, didn't select the option - use mail package.
Verified for unread mails in the mail box and made sure that there are few unread mails.
Also, created data types and other components in IR and completed mapping.
But after starting sender mail communication channel, getting error "exception caught during processing mail message; java.lang.NullPointerException" in RWB-adapter-communication channel monitoring.
please let me know what needs to be done to resolve this error.

HI Stefan, i tried, but still it is giving same error. Yes, i am able to access outlook mail with the user credentials given in the communication channel to access exchange server.
I am using message protocol: xipayload . Also since i dont have to capture TO,from,subject details., created data type just with one element of type string, not in the standard format .Does this makes any difference.

seems the issue was caused by the lack of heap memory for the JVM container of OACORE process: "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError", therefore by bouncing the OACORE process you have resolved the issue.
However you should consider increasing the heap memory (or the number of JVMs) so you can avoid in the future such kind of issues caused by the load on the instance because the high number of users. For more information please see doc. JVM: Guidelines to setup the Java Virtual Machine in Apps Ebusiness Suite 11i and R12 (Doc ID 362851.1)
For R12.1 and higher the minimum values you should have configured in $ORA_CONFIG_HOME/10.1.3/opmn/conf/opmn.xml are:
-Xmx1024M -Xms512M -XX:MaxPermSize=256M
-XX:NewRatio=2 -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps

RFC Sender Adapter - MP: exception caught

Hi Friends,
We have one RFC to SOAP scenario in our PRD system.
When we execute an RFC in the R/3 side, the sender RFC CC receives the message. (The message id is generated). But, the message is not entered into SXMB_MONI.
When we checked the audit log. The error is as below:
RfcAdapter received sRFC for Z_RFC_SUPER_ACK from P88/300. Trying to send message synchronously.
MP: entering1
MP: processing local module localejbs/RfcAFBean
MP: exception caught with cause com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Connection RFC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System is currently not started.
We have checked Program ID, RFC Connections in R/3 system. It is correct. The standard module " localejbs/RfcAFBean - Local Enterprise Bean " is used in the sender CC, only this module.
We have few RFC receiver communication channels, all are working fine.
Only this Sender RFC CC, we are facing this problem.
We found the similar thread "RFC-Connection not started ?". The same problem we are facing. They suggested to bounce the system and restart.
Since it is PRD system, it is not able to do that immediately. Since all RFC receivers are working fine, we feel that it is not required to bounce.
Can you kindly help me friends, how to solve this problem.

The RFC sender cc is active in ID and started.
The status of the channel in CC monitoring is red. (due to this error).

Exception caught by adapter framework: No configuration / default adapter specified for EDISeparator
