Exception Cell Values Doubled

Hi, I just finished validating my InfoCube data against SAP and the values all match.  When I run my BEx Query which is defined using exception cells, the values are doubled!  From what I can read in the documentation the Exception Cell Values should override everything and there is no reason from the Exception Cell Definition that the values should be doubled.
Can anyone guess why my values would be doubles with a report based solely on Exception Cells?

Hi,
For the same record, KF values will be more than one.
Ex: for Documnet ABC123 2 KF vlues may be there
Doc NO.......Curr Type......KF
ABC 123.....10..................250
ABC 123......20..................250
In above scenario, if you dont use the Global Restriction on Curr Type the result will be Double (500)
Hopes it is clear

  • Can we see value of CKF in exception cell in query designer-please reply

    Hello all,
I am defining a query in query designer in which i am using the exception cells, I am having two structures in this query. Now at the intersection of these two structure on one particular line I am trying to define the properties of that cell. I selected new selection and after that I added the calculated key figure that I had created. So should that cell show me the value of the calculated key figure (that is what I thought, that if I can put my CKF in that cell it will show me the value for that CKF). I am seeing different results.
Is there any way you can actually show the value of calculated key figure in that particular cell.
    Thanks in advance,
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
You can add Calculated key figure,RKF and even single key figures .The cells are independent of each other and that should not be an issue.
Whatever the key figure is in the cell it should show that value.
Just check again whether you have put any key figure into the selections of the structures
There should be no key fgures into selctions.
    Hope it helps
    Thanks

  • Touble getting cell values from jTable

Hi everybody, I need some hepl to understand this problem.
I have jtable and Im trying to get the values from the cells (first in the jOption panel then to jLabel and to jTextFields).
All cell values are shown perfectly in the JOptionPanel.
But I cant get any values to the jLabel from the first column(0) no matter what row I press from the firts column.
    It gives me this error

  • Trying to get multiple cell values within a geometry

I am provided with 3 tables:
    1 - The GeoRaster
    2 - The geoRasterData table
3 - A VAT table who's PK is the cell value from the above tables
Currently the user can select a point in our application and by using the getCellValue we get the cell value which is the PK on the 3rd table and this gives us the details to return to the user.
We now want to give the worst scenario within a given geometry or distance. So if I get back all the cell values within a given geometry/distance I can then call my other functions against the 3rd table to get the worst scores.
I had a conversation open for this before where JeffreyXie had some brilliant input, but it got archived while I was waiting on Oracle to resolve a bug (about 7 months)
    See:
Trying to get multiple cell values within a geometry
If I am looking to get a list of cell values that interact with my geometry/distance and then loop through them, is there a better way?
BTW, if anybody wants to play with this functionality, it only seems to work in 11.2.0.4.
Below is the code I was using last, I think it is trying to get the cell values but the numbers coming back are not correct, I think I am converting the binary to integer wrong.
    Any ideas?

    Hey guys,
    Zzhang,
That's a good spot and as it happens I spotted that and that is why I am sure I am querying that lob wrong. I always get the a logic going past the total length of the lob.
I think I am ok using 11.2.0.4, if I can get this working it is really important to us, so saying to roll up to 11.2.0.4 for this would be no problem.
The error in 11.2.0.3 was an internal error: [kghstack_underflow_internal_3].
Something that I think I need to find out more about, but am struggling to get more information on is, I am assuming that the lob that is returned is all cell values or at lest an array of 4 byte (32 bit) chunks, although, I don't know this.
Is that a correct assumption or is there more to it?
Have either of you seen any documentation on how to query this lob?
    Thanks

    hi Sandeep,
I'm not sure about the HSSF apis, however, i inserted the Cell Comments using jexcel apis. There is a method setComment(java.lang.String s, double width, double height) in class WritableCellFeatures using which you can insert cell comments
    For more details refer [link|http://jexcelapi.sourceforge.net/resources/javadocs/current/docs/jxl/write/WritableCellFeatures.html]

  • Defining Exception Cells in BEx

Hi, what is cell restrictions in BEx, in help I found that the following help.
But practically I want to know how to use it and in which case we can use it, pls give me with expample.
    Use
When you define selection criteria and formulas for structural components and there are two structural components of a query, generic cell definitions are created at the intersection of the structural components that determine the values to be presented in the cell.
Cell-specific definitions allow you to define explicit formulas, along with implicit cell definition, and selection conditions for cells and in this way, to override implicitly created cell values. This function allows you to design much more detailed queries.
In addition, you can define cells that have no direct relationship to the structural components. These cells are not displayed and serve as containers for help selections or help formulas.
    Prerequisites
The query contains two structures. You can define exception cells only for queries which have two structures. You can use the one structure for characteristic values and key figures for the other. You can then define cells if these prerequisites have been met.
    Thanks

As help explains, you need two structures to enable cell editor in bex. In every query you have one structure for key figures, then you have to do another structure with selections or formulas inside.
Then having two structures, the cross among them results in a fix reporting area of n rows * m columns. The cross of any row with any column can be defined as formula in cell editor.
This is useful when you want to any cell had a diferent behaviour that the general one described in your query defininion.
For example imagine you have the following where % is a formula kfB/KfA * 100.
        kfA kfB  %
    chA  6   4   66%
    chB  10  2   20%
    chC  8   4   50%
Then you want that % for row chC was the sum of % for chA and % chB. Then in cell editor you are enable to write a formula specifically for that cell as sum of the two cell before. chC/% = chA/% + chB/% then:
        kfA kfB  %
    chA  6   4   66%
    chB  10  2   20%
    chC  8   4   86%

  • How to access a Matrix cell value outside the matrix in textbox?

    Hi
I have created a matrix in SSRS. Columns are grouped by Channel Type. I want to access indicated cells value outside the matrix.
After Running the report the report shows
How can I access cell values outside the matrix? Please help

    Hi Aladin92,
According to your description, there is a matrix in the report, you want to reference the first value of total outside the matrix, right?
In fact, Report item expressions can only refer to other report items within the same grouping scope or a containing grouping scope. Are the both textboxes in the same group. To workaround the issue, please refer to the following steps:
      1. Click and select the matrix, copy it and paste it in the report above the original matrix.
      2. Right-click handle of the first row in the upper matrix, click Insert Rows, then click Inside Group-Above.
      3. Right-click second cell of the first row, then click Expression.
      4. In the Expression text box, type the expression like below:
="A total of "& ReportItems!Textbox5.Value & "out of 258 BC CCRs have been evaluated"
      5. Set the text boxes and rows visibility to be hidden except for the text box with expression.

  • What is Structure and Exception Cell?

What is Structure and Exception Cell?

    Structure:
lets assume u have a query with 'Plant' in rows and 'revenue' in columns.
This report shows all plants values and corresponding revenue values..
if create a sturucture in rows>from context menu>new selection-->drag and drop plant and provide description as 'plant'.
now you have two structures one is kf structure and one characteristic structure(Plant).
this report shows aggragated 'revenue' for all plants.i.e. you will not see individual plants in rows.Just one row 'plant' and aggregated value of revenue of all plants.
    Exception:
In exception reporting you select and highlight objects that are in some way different or critical. Results that fall outside a set of predetermined threshold values (exceptions) are highlighted in color. This enables you to identify immediately any results that deviate from the expected results.

  • First Cell value in the first row of the structure not getting displayed

    Hi Friends,
We've got one structure at rows level, there as per our requirement i've taken around 12 "New Selections", that's ok i'm getting everthing fine, but whatever the new selection i put on the top of that structure in that, the First Cell Value for the first column not getting displayed...
I'm really wondering, this is the first time that i'm facing this kind of problem... what might be the reason & what is the solution for that...
    just awaiting for your inputs...
    Regards,
    Balaji Reddy K.

There is no declarative way to do this as the table rows are stamped. This means there is no way to can access a value like (row+1).attributename
So there is some coding needed. Check http://lucbors.blogspot.de/2012/02/adf-11g-fancy-master-detail-or-how-to.html and http://lucbors.blogspot.de/2012/02/adf-11g-even-fancier-multi-master-multi.html which might help you to implement your case.

  • Get Current Selected Cell Value in an af:table

    Using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0
I currently have a requirement where i need to call a server method and pass the value of the current selected Cell value in my af:table.
The reason why i can't just make use of the currentSelectedRow is because i have a set of Columns (NumericValue1,NumericValue12,...NumericValue1n) and my server method can't really tell which cell i picked.
So far, what i did is that i utilized F. Nimphius's article about using contextMenu and passing a clientAttribute.
Re: How to pass parameter to inline popup when mouse over
I'm hoping to do the same thing but without raising a popup on right click. So basically, i'm hoping to select an outputText in the table and this value will be stored in a pageFlowScopeBean.
    Has anybody encountered something similar?
    Thanks.

    Hi Barbara,
    You're aproach sounds intersting.
So you mean to say, i'll create a component which has a bindings to my pageDefinition which needs to have it's clientComponent attribute set to true i believe so that my javascript can find this component.
Then, i'll write a javascript that handles the focus event which then stores the clientAttribute value and stores that in the hidden component mentioned earlier. I'm guessing that once i set the newValue to the hidden component, it should be posted to the pageDef bindings upon hitting server side calls.
I'll try this out and give an update on it.

  • Hiding a cell value in Jtable

Is it possible to hide a cell value in a JTable?. The value should be present in the JTable but just hidden
    tnx

Yes, there are a few ways to do this. I'm sure there are others, but here are 2 quick ways:
    1. When the cell value (Object ) is being rendered, it's toString() method is called. Create a subclass of whatever Object you are using in cells and override the toString() method.
    2. Create you own cell renderer and then you can renderer the contents of a cell however you wish.

  • Hiding Cell Value in a Table

If a cell in a table is less than a certain value how do you make that hidden? Which then also means if a cell value is greater than a certain value it can be seen.

    Hi,
    Are Row6.ph2 and Row7.Cell3 numeric fields ?
It seems that you're using Javascript. In this case, you should access the value of a field using rawValue (ie Row6.ph2.rawValue).
You also need to give a relative (this.parent ...) or absolute path (xfa.resolveNode("form.table.Row7")) to access Row6 and Row7, for example :
    this.rawValue=(Number(this.parent.Row6.ph2.rawValue) + Number(this.parent.Row7.Cell3.rawValue));
if Row6 and Row7 are in the same subform as the total field.
After testing the script quickly, it seems that if you put the rest of the script in the layoutReady event, it works fine.
    if (this.rawValue <8) {
         this.presence = "hidden";
    } else {
         this.rawValue = this.rawValue - 8;
         this.presence = "visible";
I don't really know why it doesn't work in the calculate event, there is no error in the javascript console ...
Anyway, be careful with the layoutReady event though, because if you have a really big form and a lot of script in this event, this could slow the execution / display of your form.

    Thomas

  • Default cell values for column not properly saved in uir file in labwindows 2009 (9.1.0 427)?

I've run into a strange problem with the table control.  Basically, even though I set default cell values for a particular column as numeric, when I try to add items to the list it tries to add them as strings, and returns an error message that it is expecting *char instead of int.  Furthermore, when I open the uir file that contains the table in question in 2010, it appears as if the default cell values for that column are still set as strings, even though in 2009 when I open the uir file it shows as numbers.  I tried converting the uir to C code, and sure enough the C code indicated that the column still is a string type.
I've gone ahead and made a small project to show the issue.  If you open this project in labwindows 2009 and click on the table in the table_bug.uir, and edit default cell values for column 1, you will see that the cell settings have type as numeric and data type as int.  When you run the project, however, it will fail with an error message saying that it is looking for a *char.  When this same project is loaded into labwindows 2010, clicking on the table in table_bug.uir and edit default cell values (column 1) shows the type as string.  When I change this to numeric (and change numeric attribute to int), this runs fine in 2010.  I tried simply changing the uir in 2010, and then using it in 2009, but 2009 complains that the uir is from a newer version (understandable).  If there is any workaround that would let me continue to use 2009 for the time that would be great.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks,

I opened the UIR in 2009 (but I have 2009 SP1) and it still showed that the default value for the first column was a string. I didn't have any problems changing it to a numeric int, and then building and running the project without error.
Here are a few things you can try:
    1) Change the default value to a string. OK out of the dialog, re-enter the dialog, and change it back to Numeric int. Resave and see if the problem has gone away.
    2) You said you get a ".UIR is from a newer version" error when opening the 2010 UIR in 2009. Does the UIR still open if you click okay? Often times this will work just fine. Assuming you don't have any problems with this, make a minor change to the UIR in 2009, such as moving the table to the left, and then back to the right and then re-save. See if your program works now.
