Exception in ESB Header Functions (ehdr:getRequestHeader)

Hi,
I was working on the context based routing in the ESB.
My scenario is a simple File to File scenario where I want to make some changes
in the Filter Expressions in the Routing service part.
I want to include the Header functions in order to route the file adapters.
If I Input some two text files of different name in Input File what file name I have
specified in the Header must only written in the Output File.
For this I am trying it in RS Filter Expression part and when I drop the Header
function ehdr:getRequestHeader function some exception is shown like
Funtion of name "ehdr:getRequestHeader" not Found .
I was also using the sample Headersupport demo working component which they
have specified in the following link.
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/esb/files/esb-presentation-headers.pdf
Anyone have Idea on this.

See the samples on the new ESB OTN page. http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/esb/index.html
There isn't much GUI support but look at the JMS sample jdev project and study the filters for routing and xsl for setting headers. The hardest part is setting the namespaces correctly.

  • Getting the file name using ehdr:getRequestHeader function in style sheet

Hi, I am facing an issue while using ehdr:getRequestHeader function to get the name of the file, which was placed in FTPS server and read by FTP Adapter. In style sheet I am trying to get the file name as below.
    <xsl:variable name="fileName"
    select="ehdr:getRequestHeader('/fhdr:InboundFTPHeaderType/fhdr:fileName','fhdr=http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/ftp/;')"/>
and based on the file name I am trying to fetch the values from Property file, map it to a schema and make a SOAP service call.
When i use the above functionality in style sheet exception occurs and in ESB instance I am not able to view the exception.
It is saying as 'Details of the message are not available, The message details would have been purged'. In logs it is showing the following error trace.

When I use the same function getRequestHeader for FileAdapter, it is working fine. Do anyone know why this issue occurs? Is this an issue with environment?

As far as I can see the problem is the invoke of the SOAP service. This could be because of an empty filename but maybe there are other issues. First, make sure that the filename is read correctly by looking it up in the BPEL runtime process. Maybe the content is different than you expected it so that the read action for the properties give wrong result. Are you sure that ehdr is the correct prefix for the ftpheader?

After searching the forums I have made sure that my DemoProcess.bpel file has the following namespace defined in it:
    xmlns:ehdr="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/oracle.tip.esb.server.headers.ESBHeaderFunctions"
I have also tried this on a clean install of SOA suite 10.1.3.4 on another box and I got the same error message.
    Any help appreciated.

    Hi Chris,
My understanding is that the ora: functions are not usable from within XSL. They are for use in BPEL.
You can use orcl and xp20 from XSLT. This has been confusing as context help has listed other functions that should not be called from XSLT. This is resolved in 11.1.1.
    Hope this helps!

  • PHP Form Redirect without Header function

I need help with a PHP form that needs to redirect to a thankyou page upon sending. I have tried the header function but it doesnt work because i have multiple PHP references throughout the page that prevent the header function from working. Is there another way to redirect once the email sends? I am leaving out the rest of the form and functions but this is what i have currently that affects the message sending:
    In form page requestquote.php:
    <? include('sendemail.php'); if($cmsg) echo"<h1>".$cmsg."</h1>"; else { ?>
    In sendemail.php:
    mail($recipient, $subject, $formcontent, $mailheader) or die("There was an error in your request. Please go back and try again.");
    $cmsg="Thank for you requesting a quote. A Blue Grace Representative will contact you shortly." ;
    Thanks,
    Ben

I need the thankyou page for conversion tracking on the website, which cant be done with a simple message. Thats what i have currently in the form.
If i put the code in the form action area, will it redirect only upon sending? I want to make sure it goes through the process of validating all the fields and sending the email before it redirects.

  • Header function in ADOBE X

When we use the header function in ADOBE X and shrink the document to avoid overwriting, we get a line in the right margin which appears to be the end of the original page location.  How can we fix this issue?

I tried again this morning, and received similar results.  This was a 3 page document and the line appears on page 1.
Unfortunately we are not allowed to update the version any of our installed software until our IT department approves it.

  • CATCHABLE EXCEPTIONS in the remote function call (RFC)

Please tell me what are the CATCHABLE EXCEPTIONS in the remote function call (RFC) and to which exception class do they belong????
    Thanks in advance.
    Dinesh Dhiman

    HI,
With external function calls, the EXCEPTIONS addition of the CALL FUNCTION command can be used to assign return values to the exceptions defined in the interface of the called function module. Class-based exceptions cannot be propagated to the caller from a remotely-called function module, and have the effect of an exception that cannot be handled.
As well as the exceptions defined in the interface of the called function module, an external function call can also have the following predefined exceptions:
The <b>SYSTEM_FAILURE</b> exception is the response to a runtime error that occurs when the remotely-called function module is executed.
The <b>COMMUNICATION_FA</b>ILURE exception occurs when the connection to the partner system cannot be established or if the connection is lost during communication.
    Note
We strongly recommend that you assign a return value to both these exceptions for every RFC, and that you handle this return value, as otherwise a runtime error will occur in the exception situations in question.
    Regards,
    Sesh

  • Exception thrown in native function.

    Hello,
I've encountered a bizarre, yet repetitive problem with
Dreamweaver 8. Whenever I close out of any file (.htm, .cfm, .dwt
for example) that contains any JavaScript I get the following error
    and then DW crashes:
While executing DWMenu_File_Close command in menus.xml, the
    following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
    Exception thrown in native function.
I've been working with Dreamweaver for a few years, gone to
MAX, my partner is a certified professional, and a user group
manager. I can't fix this problem. It's got to be related to my
system, as she has no problems whatsoever. I've been through the
newsgroups, the technotes, developer center, and a reloaded my
system (XP Pro) a few times.
    Thanks - David

You can try this simple fix -
    Quit DW.
    Find this file -
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
    Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
    Explorer > Tools >
    Folder Options to unhide them)
    and delete it.
    Restart DW. Works better?

  • Capturing Runtime Exception in ESB

How to capture the Runtime Exception in ESB?
Is there any special API to handle the Exceptions and Logging?

If it's a Sync call the caller should get SOAP fault and if it's Asynch then it goes into ESB error hospital logic. Depending on type of fault (Retriable vs Business) you can retry or view the error from ESB Console. What special exception handling you need?
Only logging available for now is Instance Tracking. Any sophisticated requirements need to come up with their own Auditing service.

  • Header () Function

    Hi All
I want to use the header function to redirect to another page after information from a form has been submitted and processed. I can do this without any problem, but I need to pass a variable that is needed by the destination page with the header information.
I trying to do it using the code below, and it's the part in orange that's causing the trouble!
    if ($done || !isset($gallery_id)) {
    header('Location: http://localhost/photo_gallery/admin/year_view.php?year_id="$year_id"');

What is the correct syntax to enable me to pass the variable? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Found the answer.

  • Question is it possible to have an exception section in a function?

    Hello,
Question is it possible to have an exception section in a function?
    Thanks
    Doug

Functions are program units that execute one or more statements and return a value through the RETURN clause. Functions can also receive or return zero or more values through their parameter lists. The syntax of a function is:
    CREATE [OR REPLACE] FUNCTION name
       [ (parameter [,parameter]) ]

  • Oracle ESB header handler

We want to perform Authentication/Authorization in Oracle ESB (10.1.3.4) for all our business processes that are invoked from the UX. If user has proper
credentials, the credentials will be passed in the SOAP header, then only we want business operation to be invoked. Is there any way to write a custom java header handler/interceptor to perform this action? In case the authentication fails we want to return an exception to the client.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • ESB: Header

    Hi All,
We have are facing issue of ESB not propogating header information to endpoint. Did any one face this issue?
Following link says, "Some Oracle Enterprise Service Bus features are available in Preview mode and will be supported in a later release." and it contains "Header support for SOAP Headers, such as security, encryption, and WS-Addressing"
Is it still not supported in 10.1.3.3?
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/win.1013/relnotes/esb.htm#BDCDJDDF
We don't want to use getRequestHeader and setOutboundHeader for each element and attribute of header as we are handling WS-Security Header and we don't want to limit the application only to one type of security.

Please specify the Inbound Adapter type, and the Outbound Adapter type
    File/Xml/CSV/DB/JMS/AQ ?

  • ESB Header Issue

    Hi All,
ESB doesn't send header information from Request to Oubound. Only way to pass is to add a xformer and use getRequestHeader and setOutbundHeader for all variables that needs to be passed as a part of header.
Is any other way to do this?
