Exceptions in server overrides all end up in IFS-68200

Question

A question on exceptions raised in S_Tie classes.
Every exception I raise in my custom code, for instance,
throw new IfsException(100001, new Object[] {error});, eventually always translates to:
IFS-68200: Unknown exception occured during operation.
in the API used by the client-code, for example an FTP-client.
Is there a way to have the API return my custom error message, as programmed into the S_Tie class?

I'm not going to test it for you. You asked what caused the exception and I answered. Your code was checking reply.charAt(0) (and indexes 1, 2, 3) without checking the length of the reply string - that's what caused the exception. If you're not getting an exception now, it's only because you aren't testing it with the same data that you did before. You'll still get the exception under the right circumstance (when the length of reply is less than 4) unless you change the code as I specified.
