Exchange 2010 Provisioning from OIM 11g

I am having trouble provisioning to Exchange 2010. The error I am receiving is "Empty Arguments Passed in either Root Context,Admin FQDN,Admin Password,Server Address,Port Number in the IT Resource." I don't recall setting any of these parameters as part of the Exchange IT Resource. Do these come from the AD IT Resource or some Lookup object that I have missed? During the request I only specified AD Server, Mail Store and Mail Alias.
Thanks,
Pete

Check the values in ADITResource. Yes these come from ADITResource.

Any one has an idea on how to resolve this

    - I understand you ran schedule task, but did it bring all the valid values in the lookup ?
    - In addition to it, are you supplying all the values i n the form while doing so ?
    - If you are doing auto-provisioning , do it manually and see.

  • Transport service does not start automatically after upgrade to exchange 2010 SP2 from Exchange 2010 SP1

    Hi,
I am trying to upgrade Exchange 2010 SP2 from SP1, but Transport service does not start automatically.
Tried manually start services, it started successfully but again goes down within few seconds automatically.
    Reboot server. but no luck.
    Any help.

    Hi,
I recommend you use event viewer to check if there are any relate event logs. This may help us to find the cause.
In addition, as Amit mentioned, Exchange 2010 SP2 isn't supported by Microsoft, I think upgrading to SP3 is a much more sensible approach.
    Thanks.

  • Error while provisioning from OIM to MS Exchange

    Hi All,
I am trying to provision a user from OIM to MS Exchanger server 2007. For that i used MSFT_Exchange _91110 connector. I also deployed the AD connector(MSFT_AD_Base_91100) before deploying this Exchange connector.
I can provision a user from OIM to AD using AD base connector. But when i am trying to provision a user from OIM to MS Exchange i am getting an exception that

I already enabled the scheduled task Exchange mail store lookup reconcilliation and its status is running.
    What could be the error?
Can anyone help me where i am going wrong?
    Thanks & Regards.

  • User Provisioning in OIM 11g to Oracle DB 11g R2

    Hi All,
We have installed OIM 11.1.1.5. We have created User in OIM and wanted to provision it to database 11g R2. For this we have created a table in DB.
We are not sure about the next steps or which connectors to use....
Experts can u please guide me through steps or link or snapshots to achieve the above scenario?
    Regards,
    Newbie

    Hi Kevin,
Thanks , that was a complete document.
However I achieved User Provisioning by creating GTC. This i found in below document-
    http://tooweaktogivein.com/2010/02/16/oim-provisioning-db/
Now my query is how do i fetch the values entered in UDF by admin (User Form) to the Form which comes when we select Resource Object (probably process form as i don't see any option as Object form in 11.1.1.5).
    Currently- 1. Admin creates user
    2. Admin selects Resource Object (Created via GTC)
    3. Admin has to re-enter the values which we created in our table (To be stored in DB).
Summary- how to populate the values entered in step 1 to step 3
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Issues with offline provisioning in OIM 11G

We are facing an issue with OIM 11G where we are trying to provision few resources via offline provisioning. Ths issue is that when I do a provisioning/disable/enable on the resource the status of the resource says something like "provisioning in queue/Disable in queue/Enable in queue". This is not happenning all the time but seems to be consistent when I repeatedly disable/enable the resource. Once the status of hte resource remains "in queue" it is never changed back to the actual status which says provisioned/disabled/enabled. Can anyone provide me an insight of what is happenning here and how the offline events are processed within OIM? Is there any way to get the status of the resource back to normal? Please let me know.
    Thanks!

The user in your it resource, do you have it lowercase? Also, does the user exist in your target?

  • Extend Provisioning (from OIM to OID) for already provisioned resources

We use OIM 9.1.0 to provision users to several target systems, for example OID. Not all information stored for a user in OIM is also provisioned to OID (for example department or location or phone is only stored in OIM). The provisionig task automatically is created via access policys.
    This works fine.
Now we want to provision some more data (including department and location) to OID. So I changed the oid connector configuration to also provision these fields. This works fine for new users (which are not already provisioned to oid).
But we also need these additional fields in OID for users which have already been provisioned in the past. How can this requirement be implemented? Is there a way to resubmit these provisiong tasks oder to automatically update the process form.

Create a schedule task which will read the data from OIM User Profile and update the process form using tcFormInstanceOperationsIntf OIM APIs.
Also create their Label Name updated task in OID Workflow (Process Defintion)

  • SPML web service provisioning from OIM 9.1.0.1 using the OOTB GTCframework

    Hello there,
There is a .NET web service client which is successfully able to access the weblogic application server wsdl from oim 9101 and it can see the complete user profile as a response from the same.
1.) Now, there is a situation where oim needs to send some attribute values to that .NET web service client, after the data from their side comes to OIM and updates a single attribute values for e.g. PIN. How can we do that ?
2.) and I want to add some UDFs into the existing SPML provisioning user profile. How can I do that ?
3.) Also, how will OIM know that it was able to successfully send the attribute values to the web service client.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10391_01/doc.910/e10360/creategtc.htm#Toc153968032
I have gone through this. I didnt found this in OIM 9101.
Any ideas/references/clues/hints appreciated in this concern.
    Thanks in advance,
    - oidm.

In the entire thread many experts have given nice queries in different formats...
The best approach would be to open up the SQL Developer, connect with the OIM Database and experiment with all sorts of SQL queries provided by all the experts..
Learn some SQL techniques, like Inner Join etc...
Then you yourself will be able to figure out what you need, in exactly which format, for which users and for whom you have to restrict
Then not only this question, you would be able to solve dozens of similar such issues yourself...
And trust me, nothing can match that...
Just in case, you are not familiar with SQL Developer,

  • Restore exchange 2010 mailbox from database and restore the mailbox to pst file

    Hello,
I'm running exchange 2010Sp2 rollup5 ver2, the mailbox database in question is in a DAG.  The databases are being backed up by commvault.
So, I received a request to restore a couple mailboxes from 10 days ago and export the mailbox to PST file for archiving.
How would you go about the restore.  I'm thinking the database needs to be offline, so I don't mistakenly overwrite my production databases.
Where should backup guy restore the database/log file (completely separate server from my mailbox servers?)
Once database/logs are restored, what is the procedure to make the mailboxes visible
Once the mailboxes are visible, what is best way to restore one to a PST file?
thanks in advance for all your help.

    Hi
For DB Restores with commvault you have to reed the product documantation.
The Database must not be offline.
I would recommend to try the following steps:
    1. Create Recovery DB on Exchange
    http://terenceluk.blogspot.ch/2013/06/restoring-mailbox-from-exchange-2010.html
    2. Restore to this Recvovery DB from Commvault
    (Commvault Administration Guide)

  • Steps to enable Automatic provisioning in OIM 11g

    Hi,
I am trying to configure my OIM 11g to automatically provision the resource into OID.
I am able to do the provisioning manually but as per my requirement, when I register the user details in OIM the record must be created in OID automatically.
Can u please mention the steps I must follow for the same.
    Regards

    Hi Pk
I Checked the task "System Validation" status for the Resource. It was Pending as told I selected Auto Save in the process definition of the resource in design console.
Now my resource gets provisioned but only when I attach user to the Role created by me. By default user gets attached to the All Users Role.
What configuration changes should i make so that the user on creation gets attached to custom Role created by me.

  • Move Exchange 2010 SP2 from Physical to Virtual

I am currently running Exchange 2010 on a server which is hugely underutilised so am hoping to virtualize Exchange and other servers on this machine.
What is the best way to move/convert Exchange?
I will require this machine to be reinstalled with Server 2008 R2 server core to run only Hyper-V.
I thought of backing up (to multiple locations, just in case!!), reinstalling the server with core + Hyper-V, then restoring the backup to a new VM.
Or should I use the Sysinternals Disk2vhd tool first. Convert to VHD, then reinstall server with core and add the VHD as a new VM?
The Exchange databases and logs are on a separate RAID 5 array which would be left untouched so would making this disk available to the Exchange VM would allow it to continue where it left off after the server was restored from backup to the new VM?
I also read it is not recommended to use P2V tools with Exchange, but since I am required to reinstall the machine what choice do I have? In that case should I install Exchange on another server, move all databases and users to that server, reinstall old server,
install Exchange VM, then move all databases and users onto the new VM?
The more I think about this, the more my head spins, so any insight is appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • Move Exchange 2010 Server from AD Server to a new Member Server

    Hi All,
I would like to get some suggestion on a particular task which i have presently , In my organisation i have a Exchange Server 2010 installed on Win2008 R2 DC (FSMO role Holder), also i got a ADC on Win2003 R2 Server for the same Domain , My
task is to move Exchange 2010 from DC to a new Member server without loosing mail boxes and present configuration  ,Kindly guide me with the steps to achieve this task easly
    Thanks & Regards
    Sameer

Hi Sameer and thanks for posting. Its good that you are moving exchange server from DC, because installing exchange server on DC its not recommended. To get the job done: 1.Install exchange server on the new Member server. (You can spread the roles on
the different servers if you are in the enterprise level organization.) 2.Create MailBox Databases according to your management style. 3.Move the mailboxes from DC server to the new Exchange server. 4.Move System Mailboxes to New server. 5.I would move FSMOs
to the ADC and shut down the old exchange for a week. 6.If everything was alright uninstall old exchange and move FSMOs back. I hope this helps. Farhad

  • Remove Exchange 2010 DC from single server environment coexisting with Exchange 2013

My new Exchange server (2013) has completed all the migration steps including public folders. Mail is working well.  I do not use the old DC running Exchange 2010 for any local domain logins or computer control, it is strictly for OWA as is my new Exchange
2013.  I went through the uninstall of Exchange 2010 with out error but cancelled it after it said it was ready to uninstall. When I shut down Exchange 2010 server mail no longer is available.  What am I missing? I am using same Public IP and different
private (192.168.1.4 new EXchange 2013, 192.168.1.7 for Exchange 2010) I changed these settings in my asa Firewall and that is working with new settings as well.  Send and Receive connectors are on new while old one have been deleted.  Do my MX records
need to be updated to reflect new server (ex2) as opposed to old server name (ex)?
You can come to Maui for a "Site Inspection" lol!
    System Admin

    Hi
You need to make sure all your DNS settings are correct with the new server IP as well as autodiscover. Remove any routing connectors between exchange 2010 and 2013.
Not best practice to run exchange on a DC but if you comfortable you have migrated all system mailboxes, user mailboxes and that the settings on your new server match the old one then proceed with the uninstall.
Your ISP will obviously route mail to your firewall as you are doing the NAT from there.
