Exchange issue

My FIM deployment is having problem with exchanging emails and I get this the following error logged in the event logs.
Microsoft.ResourceManagement.Service: System.ArgumentException: Invalid or NULL email address

I got Exchange 2010. I logged in to each accounts (e.g. FIM Service account, FIM Admin account, test user accounts) using OWA and was able to send/receive emails w/o any issues; however, I do not see any emails in the service account mailbox, or for any
users.

check if the users in Portal have email Attribute filled, because mails are send from Portal/Service to exhange.

Outlook 2010 has problems dealing with in-line attachment (not an Exchange issue!)

Hi all...
Is there an official way to have this bug looked at?
(Note -- it is *not* the Exchange/PDF bug that has been semi-addressed with the very-recentInterim Update for Exchange 2007...)
If I set up Outlook 2010 to use an IMAP server account (not an Exchange account) and send that account a message from Apple's Mail.app program -- that contains an in-line attachment -- Outlook 2010 displays the e-mail incorrectly.
If I send e-mail using Apple Mail of the form:
<some text>
attachment (and in this case I've tried .pdf, .docx, .xls, etc. -- it seems not to matter what the attachment is...)
<additional text>
<signature>
Outlook 2010 displays the resulting e-mail with a problem:
The received e-mail will look like this
<some text>
then *two* attachments -- the attached file *and* an "Untitled Attachment" that contains the <additional text> and <signature> parts of the e-mail (!)
The reproducible bug (at least here) is that Outlook 2010 should display the remaining text after the in-line attachment within the *body* of the e-mail message.
Again, this is *not* the recent Exchange issue with .pdf files -- this is strictly an Outlook issue.
Any thoughts/help on this one?

In order to get a better understanding of your issue I have a few questions:
1: You mention that the sending client is an Apple mail application. Do you see this issue when sending from a non-Apple email client?
2: Which version of Apple Mail app are you using?
3: If you send the same mail to an Outlook 2007 or earlier version of Outlook do you see the same issue?
4: What is the format of the Email when being sent from the Apple mail client, is it HTML; Plain Text or Rich Text? Additionally, what happens if you send the same email but change the format.
5: If you send an Inline attachment to the Apple Mail application from Outlook 2010, what happens?
6: As per the Post you are attaching a single Inline attachment with text before and after the attachment before sending the email, but when you receive the mail in Outlook you get two attachments. Are these attachments still inline attachments?
7: The second file attachment; next to the remaining text and the signature does it contain any other text? Like some error added by the server?
9: Instead of .pdf, .docx, .xls file if you send an image as an inline attachment from the Apple mail application, then so you see the issue?
10: If you send the files as normal attachment not inline does everything work?

I also came across a user who experience similar issue and they suggested, setting the apple mail application to Always insert attachment at the end of the message.
View->Attachments and select "Always Insert Attachments at End of Message
Let me know what the results are using that setting.

I can t sync my inbox over exchange, everything else works and syns fine.
My inbox keeps downloading and clearing emails. Now it doesnt even download.
The conststant trying to download is killing my battery in 6 hours.

Ive been onto the phone to apple care in the states and they seem to think it is an exchange issue ?
As nice and as helpfull as the guy was I dont believe that for a minute I dont hink it is. My Administrators have checked all aspect of our server and are at a loose end..
I pointed the nice guy in this direction to look at the amount of issues..
Anyways,, annoying as it is, hopefully theres a fix asap..

WRT610n VPN / exchange issue can't connect to server when wired (works wireless)

I had issues with connecting to my exchange server over the internet and while still in warranty I got assistance to fix that issue. What I did not notice then or maybe it started later when I have tried to do the same thing directly wired to the router ( for faster updating) I can't make the connection. It seems truly bizarre that it would work wirelessly but not when wired. I'm now out of warranty and they want me to pay to have them give me the settings needed to make it work.

Reduce MTU value to 1365 on the router.Also,do port trigerring for the ports number 47,443-447,500,1723,2350 on the router.

Exchange issues synch taking longer than usual

This issue is a little difficult to describe. But now when I go to my exchange email "inbox" it seems like it has to download the entire list again, or that its downloading it from a point. For whatever reason it seems like the "synchs" aren't taking hold and require a full download to take place, whereas a check for mail might have taken 5 seconds before, now I go to my inbox and its empty and can take up to two minutes to show me my mail.
I've tried a full reboot of the ipHone. But other than that I'm not sure where to go?

I have run the first two cc requests that the note suggests and I am awaiting a response from client.
On a related note, I have enabled the tracing on a user while he makes the responsibility switch.
The log file generated, makes no sense to me at all. What am I supposed to be looking for! Any "errors" or "warnings" I guess ....?

10.7 Mail and exchange issues after time machine restore

Hey all,
Trying to figure out what the problem is with mail
Background
- was running 10.7.1
- had mail configured with exchange no issues what so ever.
- hard drive failed and I restored with time machine using the recovery hd partition in Lion
- mail started having issues
Issues
- mail doesn't push over. It check on the default 5 minute increment
- mail stop working
- folders don't update
- have to restart mail
- mail redownloads all the message again
what i have tired
- disk utility - single user mode
- removing the mail folder ~/Library/Mail
- removing the mail preferences in ~/Library/Preferences
- recreating all mail account by deleting the above. Works for a bit then has the same issue the longer mail is open.
any help would be appreciated.

E90 mail for exchange issue - spurious calendar en...

My Chief Exec uses an E90 to connect to an Exchange 2007 server, using Mail for Exchange.
Everything syncs ok but some of his calendar entries refuse to sync onto the phone so we can't guarantee that he has all his meetings available.
It does the same for 2.0.7 and 2.0.9
I moved his sim into a Palm Treo and the calendar picked up everything.
Any ideas?

Don't know if it helps but we were told that turning off Cached Exchange mode, in Outlook, resolves the issue. Only problem is that our exchange server is run by a third party company and Cached Echange mode is mandatory to using Outlook. You just get blocked if you haven't enabled it. Catch 22. Looks like it will be Smartphones for the whole of the my company. Thats a massive market that Nokia have just lost, considering that we are the third biggest employer in the world.

Weird Exchange Issue...Help!!

I am trying to set up my work email on an exchange server to sync with my iPhone but I don't think my device is set up correctly. When I was in the office it was pushing emails to my device instantaneously (faster than it came with the blackberry BIS even). However once I turned my computer off none of my work emails were being forwarded anymore. This morning, I opened Entourage (Outlook for the Mac) on my laptop and immediately, I got all the emails that hadn't come through since yesterday.
Then once I turned off Entourage I stopped receiving emails again. However when I checked my email on the outlook web access web portal, the emails began being downloaded to my device again. Anyone know how I can fix this issue and make my iPhone automatically receive emails as they are delivered? Thanks.

Friday was going well until I had users call to say that their Outlooks were disconnected (they all connect via RPC) and they were scheduled to be moved Exchange 2010 tonight...The 2003 Exchange store went offline. I ran the Exchange troubleshooter and we hit the max amount of file names for log files. I attempted to let the troubleshooter repair it but it keeps failing on a specific log file and I don't even have the option to change the backup file location. Interestingly enough we get a file corruption error (I don't have it right now) when opening the troubleshooter...I have a checkdisk running right now and it's taking a really long time. This is a 2K3 environment in a frontend/backend scenario and both servers are VMs running out of our datacenter. Any help is very much appreciated since my one customer left on that system is...

OS 10.2.1.537 Exchange Issue

Ever since i installed 10.2.1.537 OS I have encountered issues with my Exchange ActiveSync account. I have a Exchange 2010 account. After every reboot the account gives a subset error and I have to go into the account and save settings again. After saving settings it makes me reenter device pass code. The Exchange server requires a pass code for all connected mobile devices. After doing this it downloads all email, contacts, calendar etc. This becomes a huge data and battery hog after every reboot.

This is _most definitely_ a bug. I reported the same in these forums with 10.2.1.1055, and when 537 was RC.
Yesterday I turned off password requirements on my 2010 Exchange server, and the problem does not recur. Not a solution for any of my clients. I'd love to tell them all to update to 10.2.1 right now, but I won't because of this issue.
THIS IS a major problem.
As mentioned in this thread, the ONLY way to work around it is to watch your phone, and enter your password in as soon as it reboots, then when Exchange tries to sync it will reprompt for your device password.
OTHERWISE, it wipes the account, and you have to go to the Exchange account and reenter your password and resync everything.
If you change your battery, or it dies in your holster, or you reboot, and forget to do the workaround, your screwed. And heaven forbid you have a lot of email and you're set to sync more than 7 days (this is what I set my account to after first experiencing this with 1055).
I called Telus 2 days ago (the day I got the auto-update notice for the 'official' 537), and spoke to their support who essentially shrugged, and said they would 'tell their team' about it.
In-fricken-credible that Blackberry would let this one slide through to release. 10.2.1.x is awesome, but when you screw up someone's corporate email, calendar and contacts, it really doesn't matter how awesome it is.
I know this is a 'user' forum, but if someone from Blackberry isn't actually monitoring these forums then they deserve whatever they get.

IOS4 exchange issue

Hi,
Since last Tuesday I've had a problem regarding the exchange feature.
When receiving a mail I can see the mail in my inbox and preview the content, but when opening the mail the content is blank.
Calendar entries are at the wrong date. When I try to edit them they shift to another date.
Pictures in contacts show wrong photos.
I installed ios4 about 3 weeks ago, but the issues with the exchange feature only recently appeared.
Anyone know if this is a OS bug or a sync bug?

Quit all multitasking apps by double tap home button and press and hold any app. Then click the "-" icon and quit all running apps.
Then open mail and you can view your mail.

IOS 4.2.1 Exchange Issue "Account Not Verified", Password Incorrect

I have upgraded iPhone 3GS to 4.2.1 and I am unable to set my Exchange Account on 4.2.1.. earlier it used to work on 4.0.
I tried below Option:
Turn ON/Off Airplane Mode
Reset Network Settings
Delete Account and Recreated Account
SSL ON/OFF
Still no luck.
Exchange acount works file over Internet, Mac...but not on iPhone 3GS 4.2.1....
Can anyone let me know solution for it?

Check the following:
Make sure your account is not a member of an AD protected group - for example Domain Admin, Enterprise Admin etc.
Check if security inheritence is disabled on the user object. If it is, turn it back on. This in done through the security tab on the user object -> Advanced and the checkbox in the lower left corner "Allow inheritable permissions....." - this should be enabled.

F-44 - Foreign Exchange Issue

Hi All,
When I clear one invoice say 100 USD with payment of 100 USD in f-44, then exchange rate difference line item is getting created and the same is reflecting in FBL1N but when I make partial payment say 75 USD, exchange rate difference line item is getting created but the same is not reflecting in FBL1N.
Full Payment
100 USD Invoice ( @ 50 INR ) 5000
100 USD Payment ( @ 48 INR ) 4800
Exchange Gain A/c Rs. 200/- ( this line item is created in FBL1N and the same is posted in GL a/c )
Partial Payment
100 USD Payment ( @ 48 INR ) 4800
75 USD Invoice ( @ 50 INR ) 3750
Exchange Gain A/c Rs. 150/- ( this line item is not created in FBL1N but the same amount is posted in GL a/c )
Just need to clarify if the above examples with posting are correct.

Hi,
Foreign Exchange Gain or /Loss will be caliculated when there are cleared itemsu2026. So when you are making partial payment then the exchange rate gain or loss will not be calculated as no items are been cleared.
Instead use residual payment to view exchage rate diff. postings, in case of partial payment when you make the final payment and when the line items are cleared then you can see the exchange rate gain/loss caliculated.

IPad Mini and Exchange Issues Using Google 2-step Verification

I cannot get my gmail email, contacts, or calendar to sync with my iPad Mini, and nothing seems to work. I've set it up with Microsoft exchange using all the proper settings of m.google.com and the app specific password from my account, but to no avail. I've tried regenerating various app specific passwords, nothing worked. I've tried updating to the latest software, but still didn't work. I've even tried wiping my iPad to restore its factory settings, but no luck at all. Any other ideas out there?

Partition Exchange Issue

Hello,
When I am trying to do a partition exchange between one unpartitioned and partitioned table I am getting the following error
ORA-08103: object no longer exists
The indexes of the two table matches. I donot know what caused this problem. Can you please help me in resolving this??

Exchange issue: send/receive mail fine - can't delete or move messages

Just installed Snow Leopard this morning - excited to finally be able to hook into my company's exchange server. Everything appears to be functioning fine (I can receive and see all messages in my inbox, I can send email fine) however when I try either delete a message or move a message to another folder I receive the following message:
"The message "XXXXXXX" could not be moved to the mailbox "Trash - [email protected]"
An error occurred while moving messages to mailbox "Trash - [email protected]""
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice/help!
EDIT: I am not currently aware of what exchange version my company is using.

I'll third the post. Identical problem, but I'm one of the Exchange 2007 e-mail administrators, so people ask me for answers. The autodiscover worked, so I know the settings are correct. Mail, iCal and Address Book all had no problem with the sync. I am also not being blocked by the firewall.
I'll start tweaking settings and see if I can make any progress. Just to reiterate what was stated by Tyrun, I can receive and send messages, but I can't move or delete (send to Trash) any messages. I'm running Snow Leopard, which was upgraded from an out-of-the-box fresh install of Leopard on a brand new MBP. All Software Updates have been applied.
