Web Services - Quiz Takers scores are zero for Meetings

Hello,
I am using the Adobe Acrobat Connect Web Services to read data from a Connect Pro Hosted account.
I have a piece of content (a SCORM quiz) which I am able to get scores from if I query the piece of content directly (using the "report-quiz-takers" action). Anyone who has taken the quiz by opening the content directly (via the direct URL) have scores I can get at.
However, if that same quiz is shared while inside a meeting, I can't get the scores or max-scores of the quiz attempts. They all come up as "0" (zero). Actually, max-score is blank, and score is always zero. The best I can get is "Status" which will be "Completed" or "Incomplete".
Any idea why the score always comes up "0" if a person takes the quiz while inside a meeting?
Any help greatly appreciated!
-Jeff

Hello Jawahar
If you run your (RFC-enabled) function modules using the SAP-GUI (i.e. in dialog) then the GUI automatically replaces leading zero when the function module returns any data. However, calling the same function module remotely you will always see these leading zeros.
These so-called conversion exits are defined as attribute of domains in the ABAP dictionary. If the function module used for the WebService is a standard fm then you have little chances to get rid of the leading zero. Perhaps the WebService has some attribute to suppress conversion exits or activate them when retrieving the data.

  • Can a web service be used as the datasource for a View Object?

    Has anyone used a web service as the datasource for a View Object?
    I am trying to do the same thing as "Publishing BC4J Components as a Web Service" example, except I want to recreate the View Objects on the client so that I can iterate through them and display them on a web page.
    I probably have two choices:
    1. Use the web service as the datasource.
    2. Use a file as the datasource with no data and then populate the View Objects from the XML from the Web Service.
    Please advise.
    Thank you.

    You can adapt the examples provided in the BC4J Toy Store demo for how to build a programmatically-populated view object to create a view object that fetches its data from a web service.
    The methods that you need to override are the same for any kind of programmatically-populated view object.

  • PL/SQL Web Service.  Out Parameters are included in Request.

    I am using JDEVELOPER 11.1.1.3.0. I generated a web service from PL/SQL successfully.
    When the web service is generated and deployed (Deployed to the IntegratedWeblogicServer) it wants the output parameters to be included with the request.
    Here is an example of my wsdl.
    <wsdl:message name="AMP_WS_getCustomerDetails">
    <wsdl:part name="pGuid" type="xsd:string"/>
    <wsdl:part name="pCustName_out" type="xsd:string"/>
    <wsdl:part name="pCustomerId_out" type="xsd:decimal"/>
    <wsdl:part name="pStatus_out" type="xsd:decimal"/>
    <wsdl:part name="pMessage_out" type="xsd:string"/>
    </wsdl:message>
    <wsdl:message name="AMP_WS_getCustomerDetailsResponse">
    <wsdl:part name="pCustName_out" type="xsd:string"/>
    <wsdl:part name="pCustomerId_out" type="xsd:decimal"/>
    <wsdl:part name="pStatus_out" type="xsd:decimal"/>
    <wsdl:part name="pMessage_out" type="xsd:string"/>
    </wsdl:message>
    In the AMP_WS_getCustomerDetails I am not expecting pCustName_out, pCustomerId_out, pStatus_out, or pMessage_out to be included. They are out parameters in the pl/sql.
    Has anyone else run into this?
    Thanks for any help.

    Parameters relate to procedures. Web Services require XML messages.
    Where are the parameters coming from? You cannot pass a dynamic number of parameters into a procedure, but you can pass a structured type as a parameter which can contain multiple values, whether that is an array/collection type or an XML document itself.
    Just package up the values into the XML and pass it to the web service.
    If this doesn't answer your question, please post more information, with some example data and code. Read the FAQ: {message:id=9360002}

  • AC 5.3 - Web Services as part of Function Groups for inclusion in RAR

    I need to be able to add webservices into my function groups to create risks  for AC 5.3 SP9.
    Is there any guide available on how to create rulesets that contain webservices and how to load the equivalent of the USOBT/SU24 and TSTC information for web services?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Simon

    Simon,
    Can you please provide clarification on type of web services you are referring to? Are those hosted on SAP system or Non SAP system? How user access is restricted to web service?
    I believe you will have to load the web service authorization data as if it is for a Non-RTA system (using RAR data Extraction functionality).  As RAR SOD rule logic is based on Risk -- Function --Action --- Permission concept, you will have to represent webservices as dummy actions, add dummy permission if there are any further authorization restrictions on web services. Define and load dummy text and permissions ( to replicate USOBT/SU24 and TSTC information)
    Define functions and risks based on dummy actions/permissions, generate rules. Refer latest AC configuration guide for Non-RTA system's data mapping templates which you will need to upload the authorization data
    Hope I understood your question correctly, let me know if u meant something else.

  • Web Service Problem! URLs are basically broken.

    We recently updated our SQL Server 2012 SSRS implimentation from 11.0.3339 (SP1 CU2) to 11.0.3381 (SP1 CU6).   We are on Server 2008 R2 SP1.  I am pretty certain that this is related to the Cumulative update since I have 6 seperate
    and entire clusters doing the same exact thing but I can't find a fix on CU7.
    Two symptoms started popping up pointing to a problem with the SSRS Web service.
    Symptom 1
    1. Before the change, our emailed SSRS subscriptions were sent out with a valid link, now they error out.
    Reporting Services Error
    An error occurred in the HTTP Runtime object for application domain ReportServer_MSSQLSERVER_0-96-130358835578081507. Most likely, the HTTP request contains an unsupported verb or invalid syntax. (rsHttpRuntimeError) Get Online Help
    Unable to validate data.
    SQL Server Reporting Services
    2. Before the change you could drill down our SSRS URL through the web service.
    http://servername/reportserver/folder/report and then when you click on a report name, it would display the report, like you'd expect for the web service.  Now you get this error:
    Reporting Services Error
    An error occurred in the HTTP Runtime object for application domain ReportServer_MSSQLSERVER_0-27-130358853340658138. Most likely, the HTTP request contains an unsupported verb or invalid syntax. (rsHttpRuntimeError) Get Online Help
    Unable to validate data.
    SQL Server Reporting Services
    Can anyone else reproduce it or better yet do you know of a fix?
    Thanks,
    Keith

    Hi Keith,
    The issue may be due to Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) was enabled on SSRS server. Please refer to the following steps to fix the issue:
    Use Notepad to open the web.config file of Report Server and Report Manager. In SSRS 2012, the default location is: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer
    (Note: Please backup the file before modify it.)
    Add the following <machineKey> section in the <system.web> section:
    <machineKey validationKey="AutoGenerate,IsolateApps" decryptionKey="AutoGenerate,IsolateApps" validation="3DES" decryption="3DES"/>
    Reference: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911722/en-us
    Hope this helps.

  • Web Services Test Page: No input fields for SOAP header parameters?

    Hello,
    we're using OracleAS / OC4J 10.1.3.1 and have developed a web service that has some self defined SOAP header parameters.
    I would like to use the Web Services Test Page provided by the OAS but it seems that there is no opportunity
    to provide input values for these SOAP header parameters.
    Do I miss something there or is it not supported by OAS?
    I've read the documentation but could not find a clue.
    any help is appreciated,
    Regards,
    Martin

    I hear you. As you have probably heard, OC4J is being replaced by WebLogic Server and the 10.1.3.x releases are the last that will be produced. We'll do maintenance on it of course, but little/no new feature work. This would be a new feature we'd have to add, so I'm afraid there's not much chance in having it done.
    It's not ideal, and of course more work for you, but if you want to provide your client with a test page that exposes the SOAP headers as form fields, you could always develop and ship one yourself.

  • Web services design issues.... for a newbie

    I have to develop several web services (JDev 9.0.2.822 and 9iAS R2). Almost all examples that can be downloaded from OTN expose simple web services that user java datatype like strings, ints and the like. In my case, the web services I should develop transfer custom information which are modeled as value classes or entity EJB's in my app. We deal with complex objects which contain collections/arrays/lists of other objects, and although most of the bussiness logic of the app is exposed via stateless session beanss and clases, I can not select their nethods since there ar no custom serializers for them.
    By reviewing the sample newsfeed web service I noticed that int their implementation they decided to "hard-code" the data by doing an XML-query to the db and constructing a custom XML document. this document is returned as a java string so the web-service is, at the end a very simple one, which uses no custom serializers. Of course there is code to create the XML doc, and there should be some XML parsing at the client in order to deserialize the XML into java in order to do something with it.
    My question is, is this the "preferred" method to deal with custom complex datatypes. should I include code in my beans and value classes so they "serialize" itself to XML so my web services have to deal with simple java strings? I have no experience in developing serializers, and I can't see why they are used? I am not sure which path should I follow, for example, should I use an array serializer to serialize a collection/array of object or should I better develop a method which will create a custom XML document repesenting the array? Are there any trade-off?
    I have to start development right away, so please give me some insinght.
    Thanks,
    Fedro.

    Yes, Oracle9iAS is currently production on 9.0.2. The target for OC4J 9.0.3 was end of summer but I have not seen it arrive yet. It is supposed to work in conjunction with 9.0.2 - i.e. you can use the OC4J 9.0.3 with the rest of your Oracle9iAS implementation. I think you are reasonably safe assuming it will be here by year end. I sit on the JDev side of the house so don't have specifics on what their actual delivery dates are but would guess sometime during September. The developer preview of OC4J 9.0.3 is currently available here on OTN as per the headline in the Web services Center at: http://otn.oracle.com/tech/webservices.
    There are two big advantages of OC4J 9.0.3:
    1. Interoperability testing ... it has been put through the SOAPBuilder's interoperability tests and includes a test suite for you to try it out 9.0.2 is fine here but you have evidence in 9.0.3;
    2. Feature/functionality - support for Web services based on JMS, document style Web service support, testing harness at the end-point, J2EE 1.3 certification, custom serialization support (not there in 9.0.2), cleaner PL/SQL based Web services and more - see:
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/ias/daily/jul22.html
    The development environment that goes along with it is JDeveloper 9.0.3. While OC4J 9.02/9.03 comes with what is called the Web services assembly tool for those who like scripting/command-driven approaches, JDev puts a traditional visual dev environment on top of the OC4J 9.0.3 environment (and also Apache SOAP 2.2/2.3.1, incidently) The developer preview of JDev 9.03 is due out within days here on OTN ... probably Tuesday based on what I understand. JDev 9.0.3 production is scheduled to arrive probably in late September mid-October.
    Hope this gives some background to help with your decision.
    Mike.

  • Any OOB Web Service or HTTP adapter in OIM for Recon?

    Is there any OOB, Web Service or HTTP adapter available in OIM using which, User account data can be reconciled from a SOA service?

    Ya web service is available. You can go through Design Console Guide chapter 12 for more. If you need any help for that just let me know.
    Depends on the OIM Installation, you have to run the following commans:
    For windows-
    OIM_HOME_Dir\setup\spml_AppServerName.cmd appserver_admin_password oim_db_user_password
    For unix:
    OIM_HOME_Dir/setup/spml_AppServerName.sh appserver_admin_password oim_db_user_password
    These are for non-clustered environment.
    If you want to create your won WS, then
    Create a dummy RO in OIM and your favorite java web service package (i.e. Apache Axis2) and create a small server app (i.e follow the example in the quick start (qs) guide in Axis2). Deploy the server side app on any app server that you happen to have handy (or follow the instructions Axis2 qs guide). Deploy the client side as provisioning process for your dummy object.

  • How to make a PDF form call Web service and return a static pdf for user to print?

    Hi all,
    Can anyone help me regarding the feasibility of using PDF forms for my following case?
    I would like to create a Dynamic pdf form. User only have the Acrobat reader. they can enter some information. Then have a submit button. when user click the submit button, it can call the web service with data. then Web service returns a Static PDF document based on data and the user can print it out. (and maybe save as separate pdf file)
    1. Is that possible to implement? Because I know PDF can call web service, but dont know how it handle when the webservice returns another static PDF document. could it able to handle the responds and open up in another acrobat reader?
    2. As I understand I need to have Live Cycle Designer to create a pdf  and make it Reader Enabled. So user can user reader to call webservice? am I correct?
    3. What minimum reader that user need to have? PDF reader 7 or above?
    4. I have a webservice serve the same purpose for web. But if I want the same web services can serve both web and PDF form. So, whatever client (PDF or Web)make the web service call, server returns the PDF document to client. Is that possible ? Do I need to make any changes on web service?
    5. Do I need to get any other Adobe server product? (other than Live Cycle Designer )
    Thanks a lot

    We have done a similar approach in the past and yes, it can be doable.
    1. Is that possible to implement? Because I know PDF can call web service, but dont know how it handle when the webservice returns another static PDF document. could it able to handle the responds and open up in another acrobat reader?
    Srini: We have developed a Servlet to talk to Webservice. Based on the Webservice response, the Servlet, prepares the Byte stream and sends it to Webbrowser to display as a PDF. The PDF data was submitted to Servlet in XML format.
    But if you do not want to use the above approach, then you have to use the Workbench Process.
    Submit the PDF data to a Workbench process and the inside process, execute Webservice Service with the data. Once the response is received, prepare the data XML and render a PDF with it.
    To do this, you need LiveCycle Server and Reader Extensions server component.
    2. As I understand I need to have Live Cycle Designer to create a pdf  and make it Reader Enabled. So user can user reader to call webservice? am I correct?
    Srini: If you want to use the Servlet, you can Reader extend the PDF with Acrobat.. But if you want to submit the data directly to Webservice, then you need Reader Extensions server component.
    3. What minimum reader that user need to have? PDF reader 7 or above?
    Srini: Not sure but Reader 8 and above should work.
    4. I have a webservice serve the same purpose for web. But if I want the same web services can serve both web and PDF form. So, whatever client (PDF or Web)make the web service call, server returns the PDF document to client. Is that possible ? Do I need to make any changes on web service?
    Srini: If you use the Servlet approach, then you can re-use the same webservice. But if you want to submit directly to the same webservice, you may need to change it to suit your data XML.
    5. Do I need to get any other Adobe server product? (other than Live Cycle Designer )
    Srini: If you use the Servlet approach, you do not need any server component but other approach, you need Livecycle Server and Reader Extensions server component.
    Thanks
    Srini

  • Web service appears to be ignoring values for destination and parameters.

  • A sample web service to return SOAP fault message for application error

    Hi,
    I need to test behavior of XI, in case of application error (using <detail> tag in soap:fault) from web service in nosoap mode.
    If any one is aware of a free web service, which can raise application soap fault message, Kindly provide the details.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Rahul..

    Hi,
    What is the URL to which you are posting the SOAP message?
    Is it?
    http://<host>:<j2ee-port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet? channel=<party>:<service>:<channel>
    If yes, then like mentioned the QOS is picked from the Sender SOAP adapter.
    But, if the URL is ,
    http://<server>:<ABAP-port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&version=3.0&Sender.Service=<YourService>&Interface=<YourNamespace>%5E<YourInterface>
    Then you need to give the QOS as <b>,&QualityOfService=ExactlyOnce</b> appended to the above URL.

  • Can the GetEvents Web Service return a subset of events for a given record

    Page 173 of Siebel Web Services On Demand Guide Version 3.1 (CRM On Demand Release15) Rev. A, states the following:
    "You can return events for all record types, or a subset of record types, depending on how you prepare the WSDL files associated with the Integration Event service,"
    The IntegrationEventWS_GetEvents_Input type in the Integration Event WSDL that is availble only contains an "Event Count" parameter for the number of events to retrieve and appears to have no way to specify a record type in order to retrieve a subset of the events as stated above.
    Is there any way to retrieve a subset of the Intgeration Events by record type?
    Thanks
    John

    Customer care have replied to me and the line qouted above is a documentation error and there is no way to query the GetEvent Web Service to return a subset of events for a given record.

    Hi Neal
    my server's locale is not en_US. The locale command delivers:
    $ locale
    LANG=de_CH.ISO8859-1
    LC_CTYPE="de_CH.ISO8859-1"
    LC_NUMERIC="de_CH.ISO8859-1"
    LC_TIME="de_CH.ISO8859-1"
    LC_COLLATE="de_CH.ISO8859-1"
    LC_MONETARY="de_CH.ISO8859-1"
    LC_MESSAGES="de_CH.ISO8859-1"
    LC_ALL=de_CH.ISO8859-1
    but the Weblogic Server remains stubborn on all possibilities according to http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/webserv/i18n.html#1069538
    and keeps complaining:
    java.io.CharConversionException: Malformed UTF-8 char -- is an XML encoding declaration
    missing?
    My analysis: The Weblogic server seems to expect a UTF-8 compliant stream (due
    to the current user.language property set to "de") regardless of the chosen configuration
    possibilities proposed on the above mentioned link page.
    Q: is this bug related to CR105388 on http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/notes/issues.html
    Now I urgently need a workaround to make Umlaute contained in a web service request
    working.
    Thanks for any help

    Hi Neal
    OK, typo. But it doesn't work. I get the console output:
    java.io.CharConversionException: Malformed UTF-8 char -- is an XML encoding
    declaration
    missing?
    plus I get following stack trace from the web-service client:
    javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Failed to read a xml element from

    server's locale settings.

    Hi Manfred,
    There is a typo in code. But this should NOT affect any functionality
    (charset attribute is working). Please contact support for a patch.

    Hi,
    the definition of the charset attribute in tag web-service in aweb-services.xml
    descriptor gets lost, when deploying a web-service.
    Sample:
    Before deployment I defined:
    <web-service charset="ISO-8859-1" useSOAP12="false"
    targetNamespace="http://www.itpearls.com/unity/SubscriberData"
    name="WebSubscriberDataCollector" style="rpc"uri="/WebSubscriberDataCollector">
    After deployment the console states:
    <web-service jmsUri="ISO-8859-1" useSOAP12="false" exposeWSDL="true"
    targetNamespace="http://www.itpearls.com/unity/SubscriberData"
    name="WebSubscriberDataCollector" style="rpc"uri="/WebSubscriberDataCollector">
