Exchange Server Task Sync

Hi,
We are getting some strange errors when our Project Manager tries to Publish a Project. These errors relate to the Exchange Task Sync step but the error message doesn't really help. This particular Project is a Master than contains sub projects
but we get the same error if we try and publish just a single Project. I've pasted in an example of the error message below:
Thanks.

  • Exchange server not syncing Lync state or Calendar properly

We have several Mac users that have reported that their Lync states will not update (Busy, Meeting, etc), but if they log on to a Windows machine while still logged onto the Mac, the state will update properly. These same users have reported that they
are unable to properly see Attendees is meetings in Outlook for Mac.

    Hi,
If the issue does not occur on Microsoft Windows and Outlook, it means the settings on the Exchange side is fine. You need to check why the MAC client cannot sync the data from the
Exchange Server. Maybe you need to check whether the EWS works properly. For more professional suggestion, you can consult Mac Office forum via:

  • My iphone is on the exchange server cannot sync address book

My iPhone is on exchange server.... I cannot sync my contact between iPhone and iMac also, my exchange Calendar on the iPhone doesn't sync into my iMac

That's one of the limits of ActiveSync & in fact is the way most employers want things. There is nothing you can do to change this.

  • Microsoft Exchange Server Active Sync issue

When I purchased my Droid Incredible I set up my account for my work email.  My job uses Microsoft exchange server so I had no issues getting setup and started.
A week later my email stopped syncing.  I deleted the account and set it up again.  That temporarily fixes the problem.  Another week passes and I have the same problem.  I reset my phone and set up the my email account again.  No issues until one week later when it does it again.
Unless I can find a solution to this problem I think this phone will have to be returned.  Don't get me wrong, this phone is great but email is the reason I purchased this phone.  There are 52 weeks in a year.  I can't see myself resting my email account every week.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thx
    TainoE

I had the same problem when I first purchased the phone back in May. I had about 60,000.00 emails from the past 5 years in my main server at work  that I had not deleted. My IT guy told me that I had to delete my old emails and that the INC works from the main server and I had way over the amount that I should have. I work for a very busy RE firm in NYC and we get about 150 emails a day, which ads up fast. Once I dld as he suggested the phone has not had one problem w/ outlook or syncing again. The Iphone works in the exact same way.  BB's operate from their own server so are not as effected by this as much. The  phone  works great with outlook, and actually quicker and better than my BB. Good luck!!

  • Problem with exchange server mail sync with Z1

    Hi,
My exchange server mail on the mobile is not frequently syncing as i always push the mail to recieve although i set the setup to recieve automatically as soon as the mail arrived
i have checked the settings lots of time
i deleted the account and added back
i checked the connectivity and data usage on diffrent medias

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Make sure that you have enabled auto sync under settings > auto sync and under email > menu button > settings > your account > synchronize email.
If the settings is correct, you could try with another email client from Google Play to see if you experience any difference behavior.

  • Integrate Sharepoint task list with exchange server

First question is it possible or not? I have tried to search a lot on this topic but does not find a way to achieve this. I know how to integrate task list with outlook but I want to integrate it with exchange
server. Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

    Hi  ,
In SharePoint Server 2010 , tasks lists are blindly synced to the local Outlook desktop application. You can see SharePoint Tasks only on the client computer to which the SharePoint task list was downloaded.
If you log on to another device, you must sync the SharePoint task list to that device in order to see the tasks.
But in SharePoint Server 2013, SharePoint Server 2013 task lists use Exchange Server to sync, tasks are updated in real time and can be seen on any device that you use to access Microsoft Outlook. When SharePoint
Server is connected to Microsoft Exchange Server, and all client computers are connected to Exchange Server, client computers receive information from the task lists directly from Exchange Server.
For a workaround, you can use 3rd Party tool  to connect Exchange Server to SharePoint task lists. For  more  information, you can refer to the blog:

  • Exchange server mail makes iphone freeze and crash

Hi, i bought my iphone last July and everything has been fine with it until a couple of months ago it started freezing and crashing. i tried restoring it to factory settings, sent it to Apple and they replaced it but it still happens!! it happens every 1-2 days, it crashes, freezes, restarts itself. I'll go to use it and its frozen so i have to reset it. I've overslept a few times when it's frozen over night and the alarm hasnt gone off! its completely fine when its not syncing my mail though.
I connect to my work's exchange server and sync mail, contacts and calender. I found that when i stop syncing the mail, the phone is fine, but i need to check my mail for work.
so ive had 2 phones and restored it a few times and it still does it!
    help please?
    Message was edited by: angel_kitty86

When you restored your iPhone, did you restore from your iPhone's backup, or as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup?
Did you transfer your iPhone's backup to the iPhone you received as an exchange under warranty?
If there is a problem with your iPhone's backup, restoring from the backup will also restore the problem.

  • Office 2011 Task sync with Exchange Server is overwriting data

Originally posted at answers.microsoft.com. No help there. They suggested I try posting here:
A little background in case it's important:
    SBS2008 Server w/ Exchange v7 8.01.0340.000
I run an RDC connection to a virtual server running Office 2010 (this is not the same server hosting Exchange)
I run a Mac with OSX 10.6.8 and Office 2011
I use both of these workspaces simultaneously. Previous to installing Office 2011 last month, I ran Office 2010 from the RDC connection. Everything worked fine from that side.
Now that I'm using Outlook 2011 task management is very strange at times. I'm in MacOS 95% of my day. I'd prefer to use Outlook 2011 rather than 2010 through an RDC connection, which is the reason I purchased 2011.
The issue(s): Suppose I create a task in Outlook 2011, and save it; then, later I go back to make edits. If Outlook happens to sync while I have the task open in edit mode, it will get overwritten with the previously saved version. The only workaround
I have found so far is to hit the cmd-s button nearly as frequently as punctuation. At least I never lose more than a sentence fragment.
However, one thing that I can not seem to resolve at all is completion status. If I ever have occasion to re-activate a completed task--which does happen--toggling the 'completed' button back off and saving the task does not re-set its status back
to active. The 'task complete' flag seems to fall outside of the purview of the save function. So, while hitting 'save' regularly when editing tasks retains the data, every time exchange syncs with the tasks, it will mark the task completed again.
I have double/triple checked the server's time and my workstation's time are the same--down to the second. I've tried closing the Outlook 2010 application on the PC. I've fiddled with the sync services preferences in Outlook 2011 to sync to the
Exchange server, to my computer (and combinations of both); I've set the outlook folder to add new items to the Exchange server and to the local machine. The results are always the same as outlined above.

    Hi,
Please start Outlook in safe mode and check whether the issue persists. Also make sure there is no third-party autispam program installed in your machine. If there is, please disable it to have a try.
Personal suggestion, if the issue only happens on your Mac with OSX 10.6.8 and Office 2011, I suggest we can ask a question in Outlook 2011 for Mac forum in Microsoft for more help:

What version of Outlook do you use? I don't think this works for Outlook 2010, I believe it needs to be Outlook 2013.

  • Task sync in Exchange

There is no option to sync Tasks with my exchange server. Mail, calender and contacts works fine. Is there a 3rd party app that does the job well? I did a search but nothing was obvious. Even if one is avaiable I was wondering it if really works well or not.

  • Sharepint task Sync with exchange

    Hi There,
    i followed
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj552524(v=office.15).aspx. to configure task sync witth exchange server.
after successful execution of all the cmds i m getting following errors in ULS logs
    1. An Operation failed because following certification has validation errors.
when i click site mailbox in my sharepoint site im getting following error:

    Hi  ,
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) configured for the Default Zone is a requirement for web applications that are deployed in scenarios that support server-to-server authentication and app authentication. This is
such a scenario. As a prerequisite for configuring Site Mailboxes, the computer that is running SharePoint Server must have SSL configured. For more information, see Create
claims-based web applications in SharePoint 2013 and follow the steps for creating an SSL site collection and server certificate.
You may need to import the Exchange Server SSL certificate from Exchange 2013 to SharePoint 2013, and from SharePoint 2013 to Exchange 2013. This is only necessary if the certificate is not trusted for the
API endpoints (such as a Self-SSL Certificate in a lab environment).
To import an untrusted SSL certificate to a new server:
Open Internet Explorer and navigate to Outlook Web App (if the deployment is on SharePoint Server) or the SSL SharePoint site (if the deployment is on Exchange Server): https://<ExServerName>/owa or
    https://<SP_FQDN>.
Accept to trust the certificate by clicking Continue to website.
Click Certificate Error info in Internet Explorer next to the Address bar, and then click View Certificates.
Select Install Certificate and then select Place all certificates in the following store.
Select the checkbox to show physical stores.
Install the certificate to Trusted Root Certification Authorities > Local Computer.

  • Is it possible to sync appointment categories from an exchange server?

I have my work email and calendar syncing to my iPad through a Microsoft Exchange Server.  I use categories to keep thing clear for myself in the office, but they don't sync!  Any ideas if there is a way to move that info over, or any Apps that will do it for me?
    Cheers,
    M

    M,
I use Pocket Informant (PI) which just updated both iPad & iPhone apps. They both sync with MS Outlook and use color categories for Events and Tasks. Nothing for email, but I think there are plenty of programs that are designed strictly for email syncing. I have had some problems syncing consistently and some duplicate Events and Tasks, but overall, I am pretty happy with it and will use it until someone gets Outlook onto the iDevices.
I understand that there is a MS Office App ready to be released in a few days. For now it is just the standard Word, Excel and Power Point programs. But there is already a MS OneNote app and I am sure that Outlook will be coming sooner or later. In the meantime, PI is a great program. It has Calendar, Tasks, Contacts and now Notes and much more. Its a pretty robust app and I understand that they plan on a universal sync set up where all devices update real time. Right not you have to sync each one independently with the PC to get everything up to date.
I have yet to see or hear of any other alternative that doesn't involve separate calendars for every color or category. Most people think they are helpful explaining what they do and then provide the caveat that "its great but I am not sure about the color categories"  Duh, This is the one and only thing that I have been asking for right along.
Pocket Informant is a great alternative for now.
    Try it out. Good luck!
