Please guide somebody as why system don't calculate amount for Excise duties.

Check in these areas.
1.Region,Jurisdiction code and Tax classification in the customer master.
2.Material Tax classification in the material master.
3.Delivering plant region.
4.Condition record with combination of Plant regionCustomer tax clasifficationMaterial tax classification.
3.Check tax code maintenance data also in FTXP transaction.

Obviously, you need to generate an excise invoice when any material goes out from a manufacturing plant to Depot.
From Depot to Customer when i'll do sale, Shall
i charge excise duty to customer?
Yes you have to charge on customer

  • How to capture the excise duty on free material purchasing?

Scenario is like this if we purchase a lot of material then vendor gives free on some qty. then we make a purchase order for free material with tax code zero. Vendor supply that free material with excise duty. Now we do GRN & take part1 entry. How to capture part II entry. This is capital item.

If you are following J1IEX route , then Tick MRP indicator & enter Excise duty values & take Part2.
It is assumed that all other master data like chapter heading etc are set.
    Hope this will help.

  • Excise duty is not coming at the time of J1IIN in stock transfer

The value of BED, CESS is coming Zero while creating Excise Invoice for Stock Transfer. I have maintained all the default condition types. I am using STO Proforma Invocie, Excise duty is coming in STO Proforma Invoice.
    I am using TAXINN.

Maintain pricing (TVAP-PRSFD) as X in VOV7 for your STO item category.

  • Excise Duty Value

    Hi,
Iam using TAXINN procedure. My customer wants to capture the excise value of the material while it is purchased from the First Stage dealer. While material is purchased from manufacturer we have definite exxcise duty percentage but when it is purchased from dealer he passes only the excise value for which he purchased.
    Dealer purchased price
    Material X = 1000
    Excise duty =100
    Purchased from Dealer
    Material X =1200
    Excise duty =100.
The excise duty is 100 because the dealer can pass only 100 for which he purchased.

    Hi There,
For the First stage dealer scenario you need to create the PO with duty + net price of the material, you can put the sum of thease two factors in Net price field at Po line item detail..
Don't put any taxes on the invoice tab at item detail level of PO.
    That means taxes are zero.
Now while doing the MIGO (GR) while capturing / capturing and posting the duties, at the item level for each lime item of GR enter the excise duties manually from the physical excise invoice.
At the header level in excise tab, click on the radio button just near the option of capture and post excise duty at header level.
Once in select the misclleneuos tab and click on the MRP (Maximum retail price), it will deduct the tax amount from the net price of the material.
    Hope it clears your doubt.

    Sujoy

  • Manual Excise duty with fixed amount in Sales order

    Dear Sir/Madam.,
This is regarding manual excise duty with fixed amount in SD Module . I
have created three conditon type ZEXP,ZECS,ZA1X for BED ,CESS and HSED for manual excise duty with fixed amount, other than the standard condition type JEXP,JECS,JA1X , because  my TRADING SALE scenario needs both condition type with fixed percentage and fixed amount conditions also.  After the pricing procedure updation for trading sale, I have tried to create the sale invoice with VF01 , it is ok till  the VF01 for manual excise duty but when ever I tried to excise posting with J1IIN. the manual excise duty show only zero, whiile we used the  standard Condition type JEXP, JECS, AND JA1X with fixed percentage  8% -2% -1%  our over all steps are ok till J1IIN for excise invoice, mean BED ,CESS and HSED shown correctly.
I have done some experiment with the TAXINN tax procedure in (Logistics general > tax on good movments> india> basic settting>determination of excise duty> Maintain excise default), I have replaced the condition types  JEXP, JECS and JA1X with the ZEXP, ZECS and  ZA1X in the corresponding filed. then after my manual excise duty with fixed amount data  was reflecting
in the J1IIN and it start to work properly with the excise duty but my fixed percentage condition type stop to working mean, it was now showing the duty at the time of  excise duty posting J1IIN .
I want to use both the condition types in the same TRADING SALE scenario. May anybody help me to solve this issue.
    With Regard
    Vijay Kumar

    Dear Mr. Siva,
Sorry for the late reply, actually I was out of touch from this issue for few days. I am sending you the detail about my configuration----
I have assigned this condition type as following ...
    TAXINN     ZA1X     A/R AT1 Quantity based
TAXINN     ZECS     A/R Cess Quantity Based
TAXINN     ZEXP     A/R BED Quantity based
    Condition type information
         Control data 1
    Cond. class       D  Taxes
    Calculat.type     Q  Commodity
    Cond.category  D  Tax
    Rounding rule         Commercia
    StrucCond.
         Change which can be made---
Manual entries      C       Manual entry has priority
Still it is not showing the duty at the time of (J1IIN)
It may be I am missing some configuration or wrong configuration.
    give me some hints...
    thank you
    Vijay

  • Basic excise duty calculated in duty free deemed export

    Hi Experts,
We are facing an issue where system calculates basic excise duty in case of deemed export(duty free) . In some invoices it calculates basic excise duty though it should not calculate as it is duty free.
    Our scenario is like this:-
At sales order  in deemed export we take alternative tax classification as "7"( Header level - Billing tab). Due to this my JMOD value becomes Zero which is ok. Another condition type is JEX2 which is 100% of JMOD.
Now while creating invoice at VF01, value of JMOD AND JEX2 are Zero which is absolutely OK. But at the time of release to accounting system update 12% value in JEX2 only which flows to G/L.
    Example:-
    This case is ok.
    Condition type                                      Price
    PR00                                                  100
    UTXJ(100% Of PR00)                           100
    JMOD                                                 0
    JEX2(100% OF JMOD)                         0
    Wrong duty calulation
    Condition type                                      Price
    PR00                                                  100
    UTXJ(100% Of PR00)                           100
    JMOD                                                 0
    JEX2(100% OF JMOD)                         12
In our most case this work fine means if JMOD is 0 then JEX2 is also 0, But in some invoices system calculate or update JEX2 with 12% value after release to account which is not at all required.
We have checked all the customization setting which are ok.
Please advise why system is behaving this way only in case of some invoices.
Your efforts will be highly appreciable.

    Dharminder

    Dear Experts,
If anyone face this issue please give your valuable inputs. I will highly appreciates if got some advise or suggestion on the  issue in J1IIN
We have done the debug at our end and following is the observation
The name of the include is - MJ1IINF01
The variable that needs to be watched is - CUST_TYP
The perform called during the execution is DETERMINE_INVOICE_TYPE
    1) Export first and deemed next
When we first create invoice for export the variable CUST_TYP is set to
“F” and the invoice is created as per expected with correct duties.
After this if we create a deemed invoice without exiting the screen the
invoice type under “UTILIZATION”, include keeps CUST_TYP as “F” and
    do
not change it to “L”. Hence it remains export. Which is the cause of
problem we are facing at present..
But in next case it changes CUST_TYP properly as explained below.
    2) Deemed first and Export next
When we first create invoice for deemed the variable CUST_TYP is set to
“L” and the invoice is created as per expected with correct duties.
After this if we create a export invoice without exiting the screen the
invoice type under “UTILIZATION” include changes CUST_TYP as “F” and
    hence we get desired effect.
Our analysis shows that the include is not able to change variable
CUST_TYP to “L” from “F” in first case. But in second case it is
correctly changes to “F” from “L”.
    Please advise.

  • Wrong VAT amount in MIRO (Excise duty inclusive case)

    Hi All,
I have created purchase order with excise duty as inclusive. I have captured the vendor excise invoice & posted  it. Upto this point all is working fine.
When i am  going to do MIRO ,the vat amount is also showing correct ( calculated on Base price+ ED).
But when i am changing the tax code ,the VAT is calculated on Base price only.
It is not considering the amount of Excise duty posted .
Besides excise duty inclusive case ,when we are changing the tax code in  MIRO where certain percentage for the conditions is maintained like (821+vat 5%) ,VAT amount is correct.Only problem is with the excise duty inclusive cae.
All the configuration & transaction data is properly maintained .
    Please guide ,
    Regards,
    SAP MM INDIA

Create a seperate tax code for dealer with ed + vat combination,
here maintain tax rates for excise condition types as zero.
Maintain that tax code in p.o.Do GR as suggested in sap note
See Note 1104456 - Use of MRP indicator for capturing excise duties from dealer for more information.
In MIRO,Enter base amount removing excise duty values, select tax code only in header.
Reply given by p.singh is also very important point to note regarding VAT condition type.

  • Excise duty  in Purchase Order

    Dear Guru's
Please find my query mentioned below.......
    QUERY:
We are using Taxinn as a procedure
Scenario: Same vendor same material same plant
I want to create 2  Seperate PO
    1) With Zero Excise duty
    2) With 16 % Excise Duty
    How to Solve this Query?
    Waiting for immediate response
    Regards
    Shailesh
    [email protected]

    Hi Shailesh,
First of all you create a tax code in FTXP for zero tax code say V0 then save it.Maintain this tax code to your company code in
IMG --> Logistic General --> Tax on goods movement --> India --> Basic settings --> Determination of excise duty --> Condition based excise determination --> Assign tax codes to company code
Then in FV11 maintain your tax condition with 0 value only.
    Second question
Same manner you create another tax code say V1 with excise duty 16% and assign it to your company code.
Then in FV11 maintain tax rates with respective condition types used for excise duty and education cess.
This way you can maintain tax codes

  • GR without Excise Duty (only VAT as taxes)

    All SAP Gurus,
We have made a PO, and selected a tax code which has only one condition type (it is for VAT).
Now during MIGO, as there is no Excise Duty, so I have selected no Excise duty in Excise invoice tab.
Is it correct way (or we need to enter excise invoice number although Excise duty will be zero in this case).
    Regards,

are u updating ur PART1 register for this material
    if yes
then select only part one option.
    if no
then u are following the correct way

  • No excise duty for exports

Just so that I don't violate forum rules. I searched this forum for the keywords "Exports Excise Invoice". Did not find a question in the first three pages. So, I am posting mine.
    Hello,
I'm working on a export scenario, I want the excise invoice NOT TO capture excise duty (none of these BED,AED,SED). I am not sure but I think it's called ZERO Duty Excise invoice. In exports, as we all know exports are excise exempted.
There are several items in the invoice(approx 15 items), unfortunately in my case the excise invoice is capturing all of BED,AED,SED for each material and my Excise Duty total is exceeding the total invoice(VF01). Which should not be the case.
Simply put my excise invoice should be similar to my commercial invoice in terms of Net value and each material value and it should print Zero Excise duty for each material.
To achieve my objective can I go to FTXP and for the TAX Code maintained for UTXJ put zero for BED,AED,SED and also make the excise condition types statistical in my pricing procedure.
    Is this the right approach?
Edited by: SAP SD_Newbie on Sep 11, 2011 7:30 PM
    btw, I am using TAXINJ
Edited by: SAP SD_Newbie on Sep 11, 2011 8:01 PM
To make my life miserable, they are using the same Document and Same pricing procedure for other exports scenario where it is mandatory to capture excise and other taxes(can't argue it's their requirement). So the second option of making the tax condition types statistical is ruled out. So, apart from FTXP do I have any other options.

Same pricing procedure for other exports scenario
where it is mandatory to capture excise and other taxes
It is nothing wrong capturing ED in export invoice but it should be statistical.
my Excise Duty total is exceeding the total invoice
Check in J1ID > Excise Tax Rate as to what percent has been maintained for those chapter ids.  System will calculate based on this assignment only.

  • Change Excise Duty Group on the Material Master

What are the steps to change the excise duty group in the Material Master (MARC- OITAXGRP)? I am getting a message 'Excise duty tax group cannot be changed due to posted stock'.
We realised some of materials have been setup with incorrect excise duty group at a few plants and there have been a lot material movements posted (101s, 301s). But is the best way to fix this?
Do we have to reverse all the documents or is it good if we zero the inventory and then it will allow us to change?
Is a direct table update of the table an option?
    Please advice.
    Thanks in advance
    Srini

you can't change the excise duty group if there is a stock for the material.
there is a steps that you need to follow if you inisist to change:
    - zerorize the stock in the current period (all stock types)
    - zerorise the stock in previous period (all stock types)
    - then only you can change the excise duty group.
these steps can only be carried out when the two posting period are still open, so normally you should do it at month end.
